I love both Roleplay and Combat, learning about and immersing myself in a world, and playing interesting characters with varied backstories trying to find their way in life. Hi i'm scroll I run a few games but enjoy being a player more. I tend to make my characters more like actual people and less like characters. With that being said I prefer roleplay, but enjoy combat as well especially if it has a lot of lore impact. I enjoy games with exploration and from all the games I've played I'm the most likely to make bad decisions and get cursed or something. I also have a bad habit of making tokens for all my characters. And I can't play unless I have made a tokens.

Hi, I'm looking for a long term campaign, primarily text based, but open to voice as well. Homebrew, module, or anything in between doesn't matter to me. I'm in it to tell a good story, and all of those will serve well as the medium. Since I'm roleplay focused I'd like the campaign to also be roleplay focused or an equal mix of combat, RP and Exploration. Not particularly interested in dungeon crawls. A little bit about me. I'm in the UTC+3 timezone for reference. I have played D&D 5e and 5.5e for about 5 years now so while not a several decades old veteran as some, I'm fairly experienced with the rules and the systems. Hello, there! I am a veteran player (38-years-old) who switched to D&D 5.5 ever since its release and has played sessions weekly (even multiple times a week). My window of availability is between 6 AM and 11:30 AM, and between 2 PM and 10:30 PM, CET times. I like exploration and all kinds of discoveries. I enjoy RP the most when it furthers the characters, the campaign's story or both. I like combat especially when it mixes in interesting mechanics and objectives, and when I can be creative in my descriptions and my actions. I love overcoming challenges, whatever form they take, through teamwork and preparation. I like believable character actions, because I value immersion a lot, which is why I generally prefer a serious tone over a silly one. Jokes are more than fine, but I much prefer it when they don't undercut tense and emotional moments. As a player, I'm committed, invested in the story and a note-taker, I gravitate the most towards themes related to morality, knowledge/lore and creativity/art, I take my time to gather information and strategize, and I'm good-aligned pretty much always. I never come into a campaign with a clear idea on what character to play, as I very much enjoy trying to weave species, class, concept and backstory with the campaign's world, letting the latter inspire character creation itself. So I tend to ask some questions after I join a new game, to get a better idea and then decide, with an eye on party composition as well. As a person, I'm a big believer in fairness, I'm as anti-toxicity as it gets, and I'm respectful, inclusive, punctual and communicative.

Hello I'd be interested in joining a group if possible. I am available Mon-sun starting at 7:30 pm est except wed. I rarely miss sessions and if I think there's even a possibility, I would give a heads up. I don't mind if it's already ongoing as long as it's not to far in. I enjoy character bonding as a group and as individuals and my favorite thing about DND is creating backstories. I have a few lined up that I typically discuss with the DM to see which would be the best fit. One backstory for a example is a human rogue who's a member of a f very powerful crime family. Though he's in hiding since he's constantly getting in there way of business to ruin it. I also try to get everyone involved if I notice someone having trouble getting involved. Hi folks. My name is Frank from germany and I am born in 1978. I started playing TTRPGs in the late 80s/early 90s (don't remember exactly) and had a hiatus between 2008 and 2016. In the early and mid 2000s I participated in the organization for a local convention of the german TTRPG Midgard. Most of my life I was the GM and to be honest I really liked it (probably more than beeing a player). At the moment I play in 2 local monthly goups (no GMing). I am not sure if I have to quit one of the groups I am currently playing in because I really dislike the system we are playing (Warhammer Fantasy 4E) and the group is not willing to change that in the near future. Besides of that I am more than curious to try out online gaming although I never did before. So please be patient with me. Old man incoming ;-) Today I enjoy OSR-games the most (Fantasy, SciFi and all other genres). The simplicity of it is just something I really embrace. I dislike extensive backstories for my PCs. I am convinced that it is more natural to build their personality as I play. I don't need characters that have already achieved everything in their backstories. Besides of that I am a gamer not a novelist ;-) I like my characters to go down in a big blow. They should not die of old age. The most memorable PCs I had are all dead :-) The worst thing that could happen to me as a player is if I recognize that the GM cheats just to safe me from certain death. DON'T DO THAT ;-) As a GM I roll openly and take the results as they roll. I don't balance encounters but I consider myself "fair" in regards of worldbuilding and player choices. I like when players don't optimize and just play without searching the solution on their character sheet. I will kill your character if they make bad choices or if fate demands it. I am not into voice acting or such things and I hate it to waste precious game time on playing out every-day-life of characters. The tavern evening with just talking, the 2 hour shopping tour with the local merchants, the chillout session in the public bath I've seen it all and I hated every single minute of it. Bring on the action, the adventure, thats the reason I play. As you may have noticed english is not my mothertounge. Especially my spoken english is probably not the best. But I think I could manage to be in an english speaking group. At least I would try it. I would love to find a group where I could try out online gaming as a player. I think I would not start online gaming as a GM right away but would love to evolve into that. I really don't care how to play online: VTT, Discord, Teams whatever. I really don't care at this point in time.

NO D&D, NO PATHFINDER ETC. I only play with rules created on the spot via precise and subtle gamedesign guidelines. Better indicators of who I'm looking for follow down here, so if you don't agree and share my EXACT opinion, don't bother answering the post as it represents a very specific research. I'm a 23yr male who started roleplaying around 2017 and I'm in search of people to befriend and hopefully play with. The main call to action is that my brain doesn't work like most and I get bored pretty easily by repetitive actions deprived of importance, so I grew tired of "You all meet in a tavern" and any instance of losing time at the market when it could have been all time-skipped to turn to a better highlight of the day of adventurers such as a barbaric toad-man who woke up in the current dimension after his own was conquered by demons and he's now on a supernatural quest for revenge but apparently he has to sit there and listen to the price of cabbages... I'm a creative spirit in search of a coherent and enticing narration together with a complementary set of mechanics, capable of keeping me entertained with dopaminic combos represented by actual schematic rules and not just a description "you do cool stuff" (and most surely without the bane of bounded accuracy). To be clearer I hate the 99% of all games out there because my brain can't stand the "more or less" and the "chill" approach that the majority of parties run: I need complexity (not difficulty) wich manifests as the culmination of finely placed pieces that click together all at once in a specific way, giving me that rush of dopamine of a combo BOTH in mechanics AND in narration. That sensation derives from a chain of planned events that trace back to one another in a way that makes sense and is not merely numbers going up or the simple description of me doing something cool. Combat combos have to be the result of a premeditated ruleset that allows skill expression and character specialization through the game without going out of narration. Narration "combos" have to be a climax after a carefully set rythm and scheme that manages to give space to every single character equally and most importantly EVERY SCENE has to trace back to each character's backstory in order to prevent them from saying "why am I standing here? I don't care about this stuff". You could say I look for "the fusion between a used car dealer and an ancient Greece philosopher", but I don't pretend people to have every word ready at the second as it can take a bit to formulate a meaningful sentence. Chances are it's gonna be me to say "We don't match, have a nice life" most of the times, but I wanna point out for intellectual honesty that I, for instance, am gonna take a bit more time to formulate sentences in English rather than in Italian, because 1. I find the latter more spontaneous and 2. I get more practice from people around me in Italian because of geography, but as you can read there's no fundamental deficency at play.

I am a player who can be a great roleplayer, and who is commited to the bit. While I am mostly in the game for roleplay, I always enjoy fun combat and doing very awesome things. Though if I do design a character around combat it is mostly because I want that character to be able to do certain things. Pros: - Great Roleplayer - Respectful and Courteous - Strategic Cons: - I hype myself up too much - I am not that experienced when it comes to other systems other than DnD. - I sometimes can be a little bit egotistical. While I am willing to GM, or do one shots, I don't think that I have quite a lot of good experience. I can make great monsters, fights, and roleplay quite well. But my issue is that I can't make a town or design a village with every single thing a party would need. Where I fall short is my lack of experience in worldbuilding and making straightforward long term goals. Hello! I'm Ephraim, and I'm hoping to find a Pathfinder 2e group that has a focus on roleplay, but still has engaging combat! I love social intrigue, horror settings, and people who are obsessed with their characters. If you're looking for someone who will roll up to the session with a character concept, art, and is willing to do a lot of writing for backstories as needed: you've found the right person! I love fantasy settings like Dark Souls especially. I'm not opposed to darker themes, as long as they're handled with care. As far as dnd goes, I'm happy to play in any type of game (whether rp heavy or combat focused) as long as the table is passionate about it, there's a friendly atmosphere and creativity can shine! Hello! I'm Ozzy, an amateur player looking for some campaigns where my character concepts can thrive. I've played a few games that I never finished and one game I did finish. I'm 18 and Trans (FtM)! I don't specialize in any one class or archetype. Weekend games are preferable since I have Friday-Sunday completely free, but later in the day (after 4:30) Monday-Thursday are also doable. I am fairly roleplay-focused, but I also enjoy combat for the small bits of flavoring and the "casting create water in someone's lungs" moments. (I won't do that constantly, don't worry.) Hello! I've been playing D&D for pretty much my entire life. When I first started, I played 3.5e (not my favorite system, admittedly), which eventually led me to 5e, my go-to system ever since. Over the years, I've branched out and played a variety of other TTRPG systems, including Pathfinder, GURPS, Palladium, Shadowrun, Blades in the Dark, and many more. Hello! I'm Ram, 27, I've been playing DND since 4e and have run games of various lengths IRL for a while. I've ran games 4e, 5e and 5.5e as well as the Final Fantasy XIV TTRPG and Perfect Draw!!, which is a Powered by the Apocalypse based game themed as a card game anime. Which yes, was wacky and fun and we fully leaned into stereotypes! I love getting into character! Thinking about how each character reacts, has their own methods and solves their own goals is super fun and my favourite parts about RPGs. I love world building and diving into others world seeing all the bits and bobs they put in to really make it come alive. I like to RP over getting into combat, but still enjoy a dungeon session with several combats back-to-back along with puzzles. When combat is used as apart to tell a story I really love it. I much prefer high fantasy for a genre of game, horror and dark fantasy just isn't my cup of tea. The occasional sinister plot is fine but if it's the entire campaign, I'm not interested. I also don't do well with gore. Characters get hurt and bleed, that's okay and normal. But things like amputations are not something I want to be apart of. I have a personal high value on punctuality, I will always make an effort to be at the game and on time! I'm available 5PM-12AM Monday-Thursday and all day weekends. Also no AI from me! Where's the fun in letting the computer do everything?
