Genesys

Craft a myriad of adventures with unparalleled freedom!

Overview

Genesys is a role playing system designed for flexibility and adaptability, specifically tooled to work with any setting imaginable. The Genesys Core Rulebook not only contains an overview of the rules and how the innovative narrative dice system works, but everything a GM and players need to run adventures in five completely different settings.  Everything from equipment to adversaries, character abilities to an overview of narrative tropes, all is provided in the core rulebook for Genesys. With a system so adaptable and expansive you can explore every popular roleplaying genre, from classic fantasy style campaigns, to modern day detective thrillers, and even to a far off sci-fi future, Genesys doesn’t fit into any one genre of roleplaying, and instead invites players to craft their own stories with unparalleled freedom.

FATE
Brute Force is a real-play comedic RPG podcast blended with in-character narration. We play a campaign of FATE Core (we started with World of Darkness) set in the high fantasy world of Eorith. Narrated by Jasper Spitwhistle, the resident bard of the Gilded Ram Groghouse and Tea Room, our campaign takes place in the high fantasy world of Eorith where magic sometimes works but seldom as expected. The party is composed of so-called "monstrous" characters like yetis, skeletons, harpies, or vampire bear children. Dice roller
Rollful is a hosted dice-rolling API. It rolls dice over HTTP: a request carries a formula, and Rollful parses it, rolls each die through a cryptographically secure generator, and returns every die it rolled rather than only the total. It is not tied to any game system. It knows what 4d6kh3 means and nothing about what the caller uses it for, so it suits a virtual tabletop, a character sheet, a Discord bot, or anything else that needs a roll it can show the working for. The formula grammar covers flat modifiers, advantage and disadvantage, keeping the highest or lowest dice, exploding and penetrating dice, multipliers, several terms in one roll, and tags. The response lists every die with a flag saying which ones counted, so an interface can show the die a keep rule dropped instead of hiding it. A GET request handles a plain formula. POST adds bonuses and tags, and a batch endpoint takes up to 20 rolls in one request. Every response and error has the same documented shape, described by an OpenAPI 3.1 document. There is no account and no API key. Usage is rate limited rather than metered. The homepage carries a form for rolling dice straight from the browser. Rollful is powered by the OpenDice npm package, which is free to use directly in any JavaScript or TypeScript project.
