Avatar Legends RPG

Overview

Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game is an officially licensed tabletop roleplaying game set in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, designed by a team led by Brendan Conway (with James Mendez Hodes, Yeonsoo Julian Kim, Sharang Biswas, Daniel Kwan, and Sen-Foong Lim) and published by Magpie Games. It launched via a Kickstarter campaign that raised over $10 million - one of the highest-funded TTRPG crowdfunders ever run - with a digital release in October 2022 and the physical core book following in January 2023. The system is built on the

Description

Players take on benders, martial artists, and technologically-minded specialists living somewhere across five playable eras of the setting - Kyoshi's age, Roku's era, the Hundred Year War, Aang's timeline, or Korra's modernized world - navigating a world of four elemental nations where manipulating earth, water, fire, or air is a normal, visible part of daily life.  Sessions mix character drama with fast, narratively-driven combat: a Game Master frames scenes and plays the setting's antagonists, who are written to have their own motivations rather than serving as disposable obstacles. The game leans hard on internal conflict as much as external - characters are built around competing values as much as combat skill, and are expected to be pulled off-balance by the people and ideals they care about, not just by getting hit.

Avatar Legends - Spooktea Encounters

One-Shot Story - Wednesday 28 1400/2PM UTC (3 hour session) The Story! Set in the Korra Era, your quirky, ambitious friend Jinlu and his spirit buddy Quakes opened up a tea shop in Republic City. Unlike other tea shops, though, Jinlu and Quakes are branding their shop, the World of Spiriteality, as a purely “cosmic experience”, where patrons can enjoy their tea as though they are in the spirit world. Their shop will be the first of its kind since the integration of spirits into the physical world when Avatar Korra opened the portals after their 10,000 year closure. Therefore, there have been some mixed feelings about this business venture idea. Through their love of tea, Jinlu and Quakes hope to bring humans and spirits together during these tumultous times. Jinlu has reached out to you recently about something spooky scaring off his customers where echoing voices and low, loud croaks are causing the walls to shake. Many believe that there is a dark spirit that is residing within the foundations of the shop and is the cause of the spooky noises. But Jinlu believes there is something else...or someone else causing the ruckus, and needs your help to find out what it is to save his business! ===================================================================================================== new players are welcome and all Playbooks are allowed.  Story takes place in Republic City during Korra's time, between Books 2 and 3 of the LoK series. Due to this setting, airbending is not a playable option for bending, unfortunately :( Feel free to reach out to me on Groupfinder for more information or to express interest! But for faster response time, please message me on Discord: ShinyHoOh

I have played TTRPG games for about 7 years, it's been about 6 months since I had a steady play schedule. I have played DND, Stars Without Number, City Without Number, Pokemon Adventure, Delta Green, Pendragon, 13th Age, and some more. I'm fully available on Sundays (because Saturdays are a hit or miss when I'm off).

I am a ttrpg player of 6 years. Mostly in dnd, but I have experience playing PF2E, Fabula Ultima and Thirsty Sword Lesbians. Additionally I have read up a bit on most if not all of the systems I'm interested in! I enjoy finding a specific vibe for my characters, like a fighting style, a specific backstory, an aesthetic etc. I then push a system to fulfil that vibe to it's fullest, committing entirely to that bit, even to the character's detriment at times. I am also an avid heroforge user and deeply enjoy making heroforge models of all the pcs! When actually playing I try my best to use my character not just to their own end, but also to try my best within my characters personality, to empower other players. My fatal flaw is definitely my attention span, I am distracted very easiily, something I have been working to mitigate for a while, but that I'm not sure I'll ever fully ditch. I am looking for a Saturday game that starts no later than 12am GMT (yes I know thats technically thursday xD). I also have little preference for the system.

Hello! My name is Logan, he/they.  I am looking to join a fun table with great people that love to tell collaborative stories. :) I have been playing ttrpgs as a player and GM for 5 years now. My games usually focus on building/exploring exciting worlds, creating fun and unique character arches, telling stories as a group, and making sure everyone is having a fun time at the table.  I am looking to find the dream table! Would love to meet a group of friends that would love to play games regularly. Some games that I have run recently are: "Curse of Strahd," the system "Scum and Villainy," and "Avatar Legends." Would also be open to joining a table. As a player, I love roleplaying and usually make characters that play well with the table or play off of the story that we are playing in. Additionally, my sibling has also been playing ttrpgs with me for years and has a similar play style. Let me know if you need some players!

Interested in oneshots or someshots to experience new systems as a player. Cannot really afford the mental capacity to run any new systems as a game master. Previously have played 15 years of D&D, mostly as a DM. Also tried Pathfinder 2E and Basic Roleplaying.

Hey everyone! I’m a full-time college student, a voice actor, and a pretty massive nerd when it comes to fantasy, video games, comics, and storytelling in general! I absolutely LOVE character creation, coming up with elaborate backstories, roleplaying, and watching everyone’s characters develop throughout a campaign. I’m much more interested in telling a great story together than trying to make myself the main character. More than anything, I’m hoping to find a group of people I can laugh with, create memorable stories with, and hopefully become genuine friends with outside of the game, too! I love both serious, emotional storytelling and the absolutely ridiculous situations D&D somehow always manages to create.

SHRINES – A Dark Pilgrimage RPG

SHRINES – A Dark Pilgrimage RPG is a classless dark fantasy tabletop roleplaying game about dangerous pilgrimages through wounded worlds. It combines tactical D6-pool combat, exploration, escalating threats and character growth through Domains with a strong focus on consequence, discovery and gaining knowledge. Description SHRINES – A Dark Pilgrimage RPG is a dark fantasy tabletop roleplaying game in which the players take the roles of the Marked, pilgrims bound to mysterious Shrines and sent into regions scarred by ancient wounds, broken beliefs and hostile forces. The game combines tactical combat with exploration and narrative decision-making while keeping bookkeeping deliberately light. Its core system uses pools of six-sided dice, with characters defined without traditional classes. Instead, they develop through their qualities, talents, maneuvers, equipment and Domains - powerful influences that shape abilities, vulnerabilities and interactions with the world. Shrines form the anchors of every pilgrimage. They provide safety, progression and a place to return to, because death is not the end. When a pilgrimage fails, the Marked may return to their bound Shrine, but failure still carries consequences. Lost Essence, Burden and an increasingly dangerous world ensure that reformation never makes defeat meaningless. Exploration is built around regions, locations and Instances rather than long quest lists. Players uncover Lore, discover competing factions and decide how deeply they are willing to involve themselves in conflicts that rarely offer a simple distinction between good and evil. At the same time, Regional Escalation causes the world to react to the actions and failures of the Marked, making prolonged expeditions increasingly dangerous. SHRINES is designed around the idea of fair cruelty: the world is harsh, combat can be deadly and mistakes matter, but danger is meant to be readable and consequences understandable rather than arbitrary. The game can be played with a group or as a solo pilgrimage. Its free introductory series, SHRINES: INITIATION, guides players step by step through the core ideas of the system across four connected episodes, gradually introducing exploration, combat, navigation, escalation and the consequences of failure. It leads directly into FIRST FRAGMENT, the upcoming Quickstart release, which expands SHRINES into a broader playable region with additional rules, characters, locations, monsters and a complete pilgrimage to undertake.
