I have a few lined up that I typically discuss with the DM to see which would be the best fit. One backstory for a example is a human rogue who's a member of a f very powerful crime family. Though he's in hiding since he's constantly getting in there way of business to ruin it. I also try to get everyone involved if I notice someone having trouble getting involved. Well met, stranger. I'm hiddenson. I've played different rpgs since the 90's, mostly as GM. I prefer GMing because I love world building and long-term campaigns. I revel in many layered plots that peel like a bag of onions, tuning preset worlds to my signature flavor of horror and hardcore mechanics. My style is deeply immersive, roleplay heavy, and Rule of Cool. I prefer acting in the first person with people who invest creativity in their characters. At the moment, I'd like to focus on horror games and Cyberpunk. I'd love to play other settings of the World of Darkness. I have extensive experience in Call of Cthulhu in the 1920's as well as in Cyberpunk 2020 so I'll adapt to new editions easily. Lastly, I have little to no experience in the other titles, but I'm eager to try them out. I lean into characters hungry for lore rather than riches. Think erudite professors risking their sanity in eldritch tomes, or tomb raiding archaeologists uncovering more than they bargained for. Hiya! The name's Voltaine, or The Voltagonist, but you can call me Voltti... or even just Volt! I've been wanting to get into a D&D group for some time now, as I've had on-and-off games that never really went anywhere long-term. I'm really wanting to invest myself into a game of sorts, have more chances to play and learn, and perhaps even make some new friends along the way. For systems I've played? D&D 5e is the one I have the most hours (500+) and experience in and am the most confident in playing, while I'm very much wanting to learn Fabula Ultima, so any chance opportunity to do so would be greatly appreciated and heartily accepted! I'm also very much new but willing to learn Pathfinder 2e, as well as any homebrew system based off it, or any of the previously mentioned for that matter. For themes and genres I'm okay with? Pretty much anything and everything, with almost nothing off the table; from cozy slice-of-life and goofy roleplay to genuinely dark, disturbing, and emotionally brutal themes, I'm game for anything... within reason, of course. As for overall preferences? I very much want to roleplay, immersing myself entirely into the character I bring to the table and the world they're a part of, as well as being able to engage with my fellow players as that character more than speaking above table as myself. I'd much rather play a character with a strong concept, personality, or aesthetic, as I'm not entirely fond of needing to min-max my way through the adventure. The only thing I'd directly ask of my fellow players and DM is to be patient with me, as I can be a little slow on the uptake thanks to mild autism, a bit loud/rowdy when I get excited or happy, a bit grumpy when inconveniences pile up, and I ask a lot of questions about things I'm unsure of. Hi, I'm looking for a long term campaign, primarily text based, but open to voice as well. Homebrew, module, or anything in between doesn't matter to me. I'm in it to tell a good story, and all of those will serve well as the medium. Since I'm roleplay focused I'd like the campaign to also be roleplay focused or an equal mix of combat, RP and Exploration. Not particularly interested in dungeon crawls. A little bit about me. I'm in the UTC+3 timezone for reference. I have played D&D 5e and 5.5e for about 5 years now so while not a several decades old veteran as some, I'm fairly experienced with the rules and the systems. I'm looking for a collaborative experience and ready to bounce ideas on character level and on campaign level. I tend to value story progression and character relationships the highest since that's what I'm most interested in exploring. I tend to favor dark fantasy or grimdark settings, but will play high fantasy and more as long as the campaign is not a parody. Jokes are perfectly fine in moderation. What you can expect from me is detailed backstories with a lot of hooks, the ability to adapt to the campaign's needs, and high collaboration in general. I enjoy planning arcs with either the DM or other players. In the context of text based campaigns, I can post every day, and multiple times, so I'm very active. Hello, there! I am a veteran player (38-years-old) who switched to D&D 5.5 ever since its release and has played sessions weekly (even multiple times a week). My window of availability is between 6 AM and 11:30 AM, and between 2 PM and 10:30 PM, CET times. I like exploration and all kinds of discoveries. I enjoy RP the most when it furthers the characters, the campaign's story or both. I like combat especially when it mixes in interesting mechanics and objectives, and when I can be creative in my descriptions and my actions. I love overcoming challenges, whatever form they take, through teamwork and preparation. I like believable character actions, because I value immersion a lot, which is why I generally prefer a serious tone over a silly one. Jokes are more than fine, but I much prefer it when they don't undercut tense and emotional moments. As a player, I'm committed, invested in the story and a note-taker, I gravitate the most towards themes related to morality, knowledge/lore and creativity/art, I take my time to gather information and strategize, and I'm good-aligned pretty much always. I never come into a campaign with a clear idea on what character to play, as I very much enjoy trying to weave species, class, concept and backstory with the campaign's world, letting the latter inspire character creation itself. So I tend to ask some questions after I join a new game, to get a better idea and then decide, with an eye on party composition as well. As a person, I'm a big believer in fairness, I'm as anti-toxicity as it gets, and I'm respectful, inclusive, punctual and communicative.

Hi everyone! I’m a player in my 30s (UK) who is relatively new to the hobby but completely obsessed with the storytelling side of D&D. I’m looking for a group that values character growth, secrets, and a bit of "chaos" in the party dynamic. I have a few character concepts ready to go, ranging from tragic to high-energy: Option 1: The "Blessed" Orphan (Warlock) The Hook: Sold to a temple as a child, he spent years desperately praying for a god to choose him. When a voice finally answered, he assumed it was divine. In reality, it’s a Patron playing a long game. The Twist: He views his Patron as his only true friend and protector. He is completely blind to their dark influence, even when he’s caught talking to himself or carrying out "favors" that don't quite seem holy. He has a fractured mind and a heart of gold—a dangerous combination. Option 2: The Mercenary Cleric. The Hook: A Cleric who finished his training but realized prayers don't pay the bills. He’s obsessed with gold—not just for greed, but because he’s searching for something (his past, a home, a legacy) and believes money is the only way to buy answers. The Vibe: He’ll keep you alive, but he might send you an invoice afterward. Option 3: The High-Fashion Arcanist (Sorcerer) The Hook: A "cunty" sorcerer who knows he’s the most powerful person in the room—he just doesn't know why. He’s on a quest to find his origins, mostly because he’s annoyed that his magic is more talented than he is. What I Bring to the Table: I’m in my 30s; and unable to find a group to meet in person *cries alone in the dark...*. So finding a group online to meet regularly will be awesome. Ideally, people 30+ will be great (I don't discriminate the twenties but I started to find myself more connected with people around my age who have been geeks since the times of Slayers or Inu Yasha). I love deep-diving into backstories and interacting with the world the DM builds. Even when playing "difficult" characters (like the gold-obsessed Cleric), I make sure it adds to the fun for everyone, not ruins the game. Hi, I'm Matt. Sometimes filling out these almost makes me feel like I'm setting up a profile on a dating website. Awkward, amirite? I'm just your average neurodivergent gay nerd looking for an inclusive table of fellow misfits to have some misadventures with while rolling dice. Most of my D&D experience at this point is with 5E, as I've been playing since the playtests, but I've got considerably less with 2024. Hello! I'm Ram, 27, I've been playing DND since 4e and have run games of various lengths IRL for a while. I've ran games 4e, 5e and 5.5e as well as the Final Fantasy XIV TTRPG and Perfect Draw!!, which is a Powered by the Apocalypse based game themed as a card game anime. Which yes, was wacky and fun and we fully leaned into stereotypes! I love getting into character! Thinking about how each character reacts, has their own methods and solves their own goals is super fun and my favourite parts about RPGs. I love world building and diving into others world seeing all the bits and bobs they put in to really make it come alive. I like to RP over getting into combat, but still enjoy a dungeon session with several combats back-to-back along with puzzles. When combat is used as apart to tell a story I really love it. I much prefer high fantasy for a genre of game, horror and dark fantasy just isn't my cup of tea. The occasional sinister plot is fine but if it's the entire campaign, I'm not interested. I also don't do well with gore. Characters get hurt and bleed, that's okay and normal. But things like amputations are not something I want to be apart of. I have a personal high value on punctuality, I will always make an effort to be at the game and on time! I'm available 5PM-12AM Monday-Thursday and all day weekends. Also no AI from me! Where's the fun in letting the computer do everything?

A Note on LGBTQ+ Friendly: It's not just a tag to me, it's a requirement. I am nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them. This is a nonnegotiable for me. I've had far too many people approach me with rather condescending invites to games about how they 'aren't safe spaces' or 'no politics'. I agree that my gender, and gender identity isn't politics, though people have made it politics. Human rights isn't politics and if you think it is something that should be, you can skip on by me. I am more than fine with darker themes with games, I love a good dark game. But the moment someone says 'this isn't a safe space' or 'no politics' it feels like a giant red flag to me as a game I'm not interested in. So if that's your game, you can skip me. Indepth discussions between characters, debates about what to do in different situations. Being challenged on morality of what is happening. Highs of wins fought through hard work and the sting of defeats felt through the whole group, ending in commiseration at the tavern as our characters mourn the loss of a favored NPC. Roleplay is what I love most about TTRPG's. I've been playing them since I was 12 years old (I am now 41), and while at the time it was because of all the cool monsters and stuff, even then I was captured by the different stories you could tell. I would love to share in the telling of the stories with you and your group. I've got extensive experience in a number of different systems from D&D in various incarnations to World of Darkness and Chronicles of Darkness to Masks, Stars Without Number and Fantasy Flight Star Wars. I'm always up for learning a new system! I've also GMed my fair share of games in the past, but am just looking to play right now due to my health right now (I am disabled) That isn't to say I -don't- like the tactical and exploration aspects of the game. When it comes to combat I tend to be more of a tactition sort of player, analyzing the playfield and trying to figure out the enemy. Though that hasn't ever stopped me from making the -stupid- decisions because they were in character. Story and plot over mechanical wins for me every time. Failure is always an option. It never is an end point, because it just gives new opportunities for story, even if it stings and hurts in the moment. We find the motivation in that. Hello!! I'm 19, I've been playing D&D for a couple years now, I really enjoy roleplay and working with the GM and party members to create an amazing story! I'm not exactly at professional level, but thats what experiance is for, right? Anyways, I'd really like to meet some new people and have a good time. As far as reservations go, I'm not super comfortable with explicit NSFW content. I'm fine with fade to black scenes, but I'm an Ace in the hole. Anything else, I'm pretty much okay with. I also don't mind being told to shut up. I'm a strong believer that no single player should be the main character, I think that each player should have a chance to tell the story they created! Anyways, I'm super looking to playing!
