Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
Hello all, my name is Uvi, and welcome to the listing page for the Hollow Chorus campaign! This campaign will by run by myself, a veteran DM returning to form as of late, with four open slots. This is a 21+ game, not to invite explicit topics and content to the table, but just because games run at this table should be ran with adults of similar ages. This campaign will take place over discord, so mics are required, but cameras are not. That being said, I invite you all to partake in our google questions form! I can't wait to see you at the table! (Roll 20 listing) (Google forms link) mobile friendly: https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/452022/the-hollow-chorus-of-fletch

Smoke and Specters: A Haunting of Gilded Hollow

Hello! My name's Poca, and I am finally trying my hand at DMing! I have been a player for about four ish years now, and I have been thinking about making this silly idea of mine into a campaign for a year or so. Under this is going to be an overview of the campaign (that I hope you will take the time to read). This campaign is set with DND 5E mechanics, just slightly reflavored to match my world a bit better, as its not your normal fantasy setting. During this campaign we'll be usuing DND&Beyond and Roll20 for maps, and also possibly recording each session so that those of you who might want to relisten and refresh yourself on what happened last session can! Currently I'm looking for 3 to 4 more players, 21+ and also LGBTQ+ friendly. Along with this, I'm plannign to have sessions start at 630-7 pm, and last 3 hours each monday. If any of this sounds exciting or interesting to you, feel free to reach out! Campagin Overview: As light shines brightly at the peak of the Golden Era of Gilded Hollow, we bear witness to the city truly shining as day gives way to night. Streetlights float and flicker across the lively streets, and music encases the city, passing through its veins and giving Gilded Hollow its own beating heart.Arcane-infused cocktails gleam against the crystal glasses and advertisements pasted on countless buildings entrance passerbyers, whispering sweet promises of indulgence and escape for the weary. However, beneath the polished mask that's held face for years over this…indulgent age, hides cracks in this superficial perfection. The bright lights finally dim to reveal darker truths, and older, hungrier ambitions gnaw at the very foundations of the city. Here, shadows begin to move without their owners and spells seem to misfire on their own. The most worrisome thing to occur however, is the number of unrestless dead turning in their graves. The facade of the city comes crumbling down the night that Miss Lila Vayne, a renowned flapper and rising star, loved by the masses, vanishes mid performance at The Velvet Veil, a notoriously popular speakeasy (with both the mundane customers and….less than savory customers of the underworld). In wake of her disappearance, rumors ignite like raging fires: ghosts are seen occupying the dance halls, phantom jazz bands give breathtaking performances that haunt those who bear witness to them, and there are whispers, far older than Gilded Hollow itself of an ancient pact holding the foundation of the city. This is where you, my dear player, come in: an adventurer, an aspiring detective, mercenary, or unlucky passerby arriving on the scene. Either joining the investigation for the missing dame by means of coercion or hired, your job is now to uncover the world behind the world. Here lies a decaying city with spirits of the past coming to punish the living, and the power hungry elites are desperately trying to put them to rest. Sadly, you will find that ghosts will not lie still forever, the Gilded Hollow awakens once again.

Hello. We are a group of D&D players and DMs that have been together for 8 years. We recently had some members move away, so we are looking for more players. We occasionally change DMs, so no forever DMs here. We tend to focus more on roleplay than combat. We are open to other TTRPG systems or tabletop games in general. We are currently running a hombrew campaign in 5e.

Greek-myth campaign for Daggerheart

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
"Five years ago, a thousand ships answered Agamemnon's call and departed Greece to bring about Ilium's ruin. The greatest heroes, the mightiest weapons, and the most mythical stories are somewhere else.  You are among who remains.  I am Homer, and I will sing of you, amongst Other Names." Set in a fabled Age of Rhapsody — paying homage to the Bronze Age, Greek tragedy and comedy, and classical myth — Echoes of Fate is a homebrew Campaign Frame for Daggerheart exploring lies and prophecies, the making of myths, and what it costs to break destiny. You are not the hero the epic was written for. No prophecy names you. No Muse has claimed your story...yet. So what do you make of a life the songs haven't told yet? If you are a fan of myth retellings such as EPIC: the Musical, A Thousand Ships, The Song of Achilles, come sit by the fire. Some notes on the setting: •  The gods are present but distracted — drawing their eye may bring you greatness, or ruin. Or maybe you'll be drawn to the Mysteries instead? •  No prophecy protects you: your choices ripple outward, and could alter canon myths and even the course of the war itself. •  All stories are welcome, this table is LGBTQ+ friendly. •  New to tabletop, Daggerheart, or Greek myth? This table is beginner-friendly. And no Classics degree required, just curiosity. EU-friendly hours (evenings except weekends where I can do mornings or early afternoons) or US- friendly (late afternoons/early evening). Sessions can be weekly or bi-weekly through StartPlaying.com, at 20$ per session. About me: - I've been a Dungeon Master for almost 8 years and I have plenty of experience in guiding new players. I prefer Theater of the Mind with minimal VTT support. - Your story will matter and I love a long, narrative background I can weave into the main story. - I do character voices!  - I also do character artworks :D Safety tools: Session 0, Lines and Veils, Consent checklist and X cards. I prefer to be honest in advance: Echoes of Fate draws from real life in addition to myth. Slavery was present in Ancient Greece, as was mysogyny, war and violence. You will be able to challenge these in-game through your character, or ask me to avoid mentioning them and I will do my best to do so.

Runial (Homebrew)

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
THE GAME WILL BE A MIX OF VOICE CHAT AND TEXT. The campaign takes place on a homebrew world called Runial. The civilizations that inhabit it are: Civils, the alliance of demi humans such as humans, elves, dwarves, gnomes, halflings, orcs, goblins, and any other manner of humanoid beings. Ferals, which are more animal than humanoid, anthropomorphic creatures made up of any animal species you can imagine. Pseudofauna, which are a mix of demi human and some animal trait. Examples of this include holstaur, winged humans, merpeople and so on. They're distrusted by both Civil and Feral societies though are free to dwell within either albeit with some difficulties. Otherworlders, mysterious beings with special powers that are resistant to Runian natives. They can be any Runian race, although none of them arrive with memories of how they came to be. Civilization for the most part on Runial can be compared to the 1800s. The most advanced parts of the world have access to basic amenities such as rudimentary plumbing and electricity. Weaponry has advanced up to single action revolvers and lever action rifles. Runial in recent times has been plagued by a mysterious weather phenomenon known as the Aetherwind, a warm gentle breeze that rises from the ground, bringing with it motes of multicolored orbs of mana that float gently towards the sky. Any living thing caught in the Aetherwind is quickly and horribly mutated, rarely surviving the process. Alongside the appearance of the Aetherwind came the arrival of beings known as Otherworlders, people with special abilities that boast high resistance to attacks from Runian natives, making them difficult to combat without extreme measures. The Aetherwind began at the most northern point of Runial and over time has crept slowly to the south, pushing the Civil races down towards Feral territories. Ferals, in an attempt to retain their lands, have declared a defensive war on Civils to prevent their encroachment and Civils, desperate to escape the Aetherwind, grab what land they can to survive. The Aetherwind can also appear in random pockets anywhere on Runial, making nowhere truly safe. You are an adventurer that has woken up in an alien looking laboratory with no memories of who you once were or what has been done to you. After a narrow escape, you're now looking for answers alongside others that have also escaped the facility. (This campaign uses 5e 2014 as a base with some homebrew rules and elements. Do not inquire if you're unwilling to learn. Characters will be made in Foundry. My setting is a darker, morally grey story. I use AI to create character portraits and tokens, but do NOT use it in any part of my character creation, worldbuilding or story progression. I expect that you won't use it to write your character.)

Need a DM?

Do you already have 3–5 friends who want to play D&D, but the campaign never actually gets off the ground because nobody has the time or experience to DM it consistently? This is specifically for groups like that. I run weekly online D&D campaigns for existing friend groups. You keep playing with your friends; I handle the DM side: preparation, rules guidance, campaign structure, NPCs, encounters, worldbuilding, and keeping the campaign moving every week. One of my current groups described their situation this way: they had tried for years to get a proper campaign running, but scheduling and not having an experienced DM kept stopping them. After joining, their player said: “You are paying for preparation, reliability, experience, storytelling, and someone taking responsibility for keeping the campaign running.” The game itself is character-focused and flexible. Your decisions matter, your characters can shape the story, and beginners are completely welcome. I also help with character creation and rules instead of expecting everyone to arrive as an expert. DETAILS System: D&D 5e / 2024 rules Players: Best for an existing group of 3–5 Format: Online Voice: Discord VTT: Roll20 Schedule: Weekly Session Length: 3–4 hours Price: $20 USD per player, per session Campaign Options: Custom Faerûn / Curse of Strahd / Tomb of Annihilation / other options depending on what your group wants If your group has been saying “we should really play D&D” for months—or years—send me: Number of players Your timezones Days/times that work for the group Experience level What kind of campaign you want I’ll tell you honestly whether I have a slot that fits.

Have you wanted to try D&D for a while, but keep thinking: “I don't know the rules.” “I'm probably terrible at roleplaying.” “I don't even know how to make a character.” “Everyone else will know what they're doing except me.” Then you're exactly the kind of player I enjoy introducing to D&D. I'm an experienced DM running weekly online campaigns, and a large number of my current long-term players started with little or zero real D&D experience. You do not need to read the entire Player's Handbook before joining. You don't need to memorize every spell, know how every mechanic works, or come in with a 10-page character backstory. We'll build your character together, I'll explain things as they become relevant, and you'll learn naturally by actually playing the game. And don't worry—beginner-friendly does not mean the campaign is watered down. The dice still matter. Your decisions have consequences. Characters can succeed, fail, get themselves into horrible situations, come up with ridiculous solutions, and completely change where the story goes. My games focus heavily on: • Character development • Roleplay and relationships between characters • Player freedom and creative solutions • Exploration and meaningful decisions • A story that reacts to what the party actually does • Helping new players learn without constantly stopping the game • A consistent weekly campaign rather than playing once every few months One of my current players described the experience like this: “The players have freedom, and no decision ever feels like a wrong one. I keep coming back for the DM, the players, and the characters and stories we've told together.” — Remy / Joffarex You don't have to be an amazing roleplayer when you start either. Quite a few of my players were nervous about roleplaying when they first joined. That confidence usually develops naturally once you become comfortable with your character and the group. GAME DETAILS System: D&D 5e / 2024/2014 rules Campaign: Faerun for new players Format: Online Voice: Discord VTT: Roll20 Session Length: Around 3–4 hours Group Size: Around 5 players Frequency: Once per week Price: Session 0, character creation, and onboarding are free. Regular campaign sessions are $20/player Experience Required: Absolutely none Current Openings: 5 SCHEDULING Wednesday, 8 PM GMT+4 / 12 PM ET my schedule is flexible, so if this time doesn't suit you, we can discuss it over a call THE ADVENTURE This is a long-term campaign set in Faerûn, built specifically for a new group. You’ll start as relatively inexperienced adventurers and gradually become involved in larger conflicts, dangerous factions, strange locations, and stories tied directly to your characters. Expect a mix of roleplay, exploration, combat, mysteries, character backstories, and choices that can genuinely change where the campaign goes. This is not a pre-written railroad where you just follow quest markers—the direction of the story will depend heavily on the party. INTERESTED? Send me a message here first with: Your timezone Your general weekly availability Whether you've played D&D before What kind of character, campaign, or D&D experience sounds fun to you Anything you're nervous or unsure about If it sounds like the game could be a good fit, I'll give you my Discord and we can talk properly there before you commit to anything. I care quite a lot about group chemistry, so I'd rather have five people who genuinely enjoy playing together every week than simply fill seats as quickly as possible. Complete beginners are very welcome.

D&D Magic the Gathering-Rabiah

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
System: D&D 2024 Platform: Discord, D&D Beyond, D&D Beyond Maps, and LegendKeeper Schedule: Thursday, 6pm Central Time Frequency: WEEKLY  Session length: About four hours Campaign length: Approximately 50–75 sessions Starting level: Level 1 prologue, with the full party beginning at level 3 Expected ending level: Level 16 Cost: Free Players: I am looking for four players, with the possibility of adding a fifth if the group fit is right. Material Source: https://www.gmbinder.com/share/-OEnJ50yCIcWwqcffUEO I am putting together a long-term online campaign set on Rabiah, one of Magic: The Gathering’s earliest planes. You do not need to know anything about Magic to play. I will provide a player guide explaining the world, important cultures, major regions, and the situation at the beginning of the campaign. This version of Rabiah is being built as a complete D&D setting rather than a short visit to an MTG location. It has its own calendar, cultures, governments, trade routes, factions, settlements, regional economies, and conflicts that continue moving whether the party becomes involved or not. The campaign begins in Marsa Qamar during the First Open Roads Convocation. New passages have made travel between Rabiah, its alternate Refractions, and other planes much more common. That has created opportunities for trade, travel, migration, and reunion. It has also created arguments over who controls these passages, who may use them, and what happens when two versions of history begin contradicting each other. There is a central conflict, but there is no required route through it. NPCs will give you clear leads and real choices about where to go next. You may work with a faction, oppose it, change its leadership, ignore it, or discover that somebody you trusted had a very different plan. Problems elsewhere will continue to develop while the party is making those decisions. I want the world to feel like it exists beyond the player characters. Merchants travel, families make decisions, factions spend resources, and local problems may improve or get worse without the party. If you save one town, another situation may change while you are gone. That does not mean I automatically choose the worst outcome whenever you ignore something. It means the rest of Rabiah is also allowed to act. The tone will depend partly on where you go and what you choose to do. Some sessions may be lighthearted, strange, or hopeful. Others may become dangerous or genuinely dark. I am aiming for grounded adventure rather than constant misery. The world can be deadly, but I am not trying to trick players into dying. Serious danger will usually be communicated. Planning, negotiation, retreat, local knowledge, and asking for help can matter as much as having the strongest attack. Each player will have an individual Session 0.5 prologue. Your character begins at level 1 and reaches level 3 during that prologue. This gives us time to establish who the character was before meeting the party, introduce some people from their life, and let their early abilities come from something that actually happened. Players will also be able to contribute up to three notable NPCs from their character’s history. Families, former allies, rivals, mentors, employers, and faction connections can become part of the living world. I will work directly with you before using major personal material. Your backstory matters, but it will not be used as permission to do whatever I want to your character. Mechanically, we will use the 2024 rules as our foundation. Approved 2014 material and options from the Planeshifted Guide to Rabiah may supplement them. Rabiah has nine primary playable peoples, including Humans, Ogres, Genasi, Merfolk, Bird Maidens, Goblins, Viashino, Minotaurs, and Brass Men. Other Magic species may also work if we can give the character a believable place in the setting. This is meant to be a cooperative campaign. Characters can disagree, keep secrets, have selfish goals, and make questionable decisions. They still need a reason to travel together and care about what happens to the rest of the party. PvP will only happen when everyone directly involved agrees to it outside the game. Because this is a long campaign, attendance matters. We will normally play if one person is absent, with their character handled carefully as an NPC. If two or more players cannot attend, the campaign session will be canceled or rescheduled. Campaign audio will be recorded so I can privately transcribe sessions and keep accurate notes. The recordings are not for streaming, a podcast, or public release. Players must be comfortable with that arrangement, and recording can be paused whenever somebody needs to discuss something personal or private. If you are interested, fill out an application! I am not looking for the person with the most D&D experience or the most detailed character pitch. I am mainly looking for people who communicate, share the spotlight, care about the world, and are genuinely interested in staying with a long campaign. The start date can happen when we find a compatiable crew! I will speak with interested players individually before choosing the final group.

Hello! Me and a friend had an idea to have a game where the entire party is true dragons, ganging up together for a specific reason or just neighbors who have territories next to each other. Rules for how we make true dragon characters can be discussed with the potential GM, though I do own the Dreamscarred Press Monster Class for Dragons, and have had true dragon PC's in my games before using the play as a monster rules. The idea is to really get to enjoy and play into the fantasy of being a dragon in a fantasy setting, be it Golarion or a homebrew world, and interacting with it from a different perspective than normal, and to hopefully feel like a epic dragon! As such in that regard, we’re looking for a GM to make this game come true. We are three, so if a DM is interested in a smaller group, or more as I have no issue with recruiting as many as you'd like! The timeslot is currently set on fridays anytime before 11 pm EDT. Platform can be anything you’d like. Just make a quick application if you're interested!

I'm a game designer, and I'm looking for a group of great players to help me playtest the crap out of it. Anyone willing to playtest will get a free digital copy of Prosperon on the house. I was thinking of running sessions every other week on Saturdays, since I already run a podcast campaign weekly. If you're interested, sign up and let’s have a blast. To give you an idea of the gameplay style, it’s about 65% roleplay and 35% combat, though that really depends on the group’s dynamics. If you all want more combat, I can absolutely make that happen. The game is a cyberpunk/biopunk mix set in a dystopian society on a distant planet far from Earth. Humanity colonized a world called Khaelmora, later renamed Prosperon by the human settlers. If you're interested, let’s get those dice rolling and have a good time. I just wanted to add that I’m also looking to start a play‑by‑post group. I still want to run a VTT game, of course, but a play‑by‑post format could be fun too.

In-Person Forgotten Realms: Adventures in Faerûn

Paid game

Looking for one (committed) player to add to our in-person campaign for Forgotten Realms: Adventures in Faerûn ! First and foremost each session is unfortunately $15/person because we play at a game store. About us: ✦ We meet in person every other Friday from 7pm to 10:30pm PST in San Francisco, CA. We also have a Google Calendar set up if you'd like to have the sessions on your own calendar as well. ✦ Our group as it is now has been playing together for almost a whole year now, but some members have been playing together for even longer! ✦ Everyone's very friendly and knowledgable* but also open to learning new things especially with transitioning to 5.5e! (*not me tho, genuinely don't know anything) ✦ Diverse cast! Shiny bard with mommy issues, tree about to have an identity crisis, priestess with ptsd, and an old man gaslights & murders. ✦ On the rare occasion of one person being unable to make a session, we run one-shots or mini campaigns so we can play something. DM Duty gets passed around to willing players for these sessions so the main DM can also enjoy the game as a player. When multiple people can't make it we reschedule. You: ✦ 21+ ✦ Committed. Life happens obviously but please make an effort to show up to all sessions :) ✦ Experience isn't needed as long as you're open to learning! (Alternatively if you do have experience be open to adapting.) ✦ Have a lv. 6 character (or we can help you make one. and by "we" I mean the DM lol) and good vibes <3

Sequence of The World- The Cycles of Eternity

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Hello my name is Cyn and I plan to run a brand new Homebrew campaign in the world of Terra, an entirely new realm of possibility and opportunity! Quick Campaign overview Schedule: Tbd with player availability, flexible!   Starting Level: the party shall begin at level 3 with standard starting equipment. Price: Free! There is no price to joining this campaign other than the time you choose to commit!   Setting: Full homebrew setting using the base rules of D&D 5e 2014 with no further alterations to the rules. Platform: Maps will be provided with Shard Tabletop and character sheets can either be managed within Shard Tabletop or D&D Beyond (whichever players prefer)! 6 Nations Fight for their Ambitions 6 Countries exist in the world of Terra, and each is ruled in part by a Deity that resides upon the earth instead of the heavens above. The Divine share the land with the mortals they reside over, and no other gods can be heard from the sky above. Below are short descriptions for each of the six nations:   -Revver is the land of eternity ruled over by Lillil, a sleeping Deity that forces the land to change in constant cycles of “curses” and “blessings”. The people of Revver have learned to make the most of their "blessed" time and to except and prepare for the "curses" that shall appear. You wake up from every dream and you have the ability to survive every nightmare.   -Fai’Ren is the land of nature and balance, a Country that Kai’Ren rules from the world tree at the very heart of his nation overseeing every trade, contract, and deal made within his borders. Kai'Ren is a part of nature within Fai'Ren, being the very soul of the forest and every tree, flower, and flora that makes up the massive kingdom, supporting his people with the lands themselves providing them protection, food, and guidance.    -New Demali always steps closer to a brand new age, being the land of progress and development with their Deity Dyak pushing them towards a new frontier at every given moment. Brilliance and innovation have led New Demali to become the most advanced Nation among the six, with no other Country able to match their advances or production scale.   -Coreaf brings law and order to an unjust world, with Aphys, the Deity of law, commanding the people of Coreaf to uphold justice in their lives above everything else. Not a single rule has been changed since the country's creation centuries ago, and like a mountain going throughout the ages of time, they stand unmoving.   -Rybek is the land of war and evolution, its people becoming more monstrous and savage as their Deity Synello continues his crusade across the rest of Terra. Adaptation and strength are the rules that govern Rybek, and any that do not show their worth are used to fuel the growth of the promising. -Seffia is the land of freedom, and the Country has not felt the presence of a deity for hundreds of years since Mildrin left. It is a land built and ruled by the humans that cultivated it and created a kingdom of their own. No mystical rules surround this place, no god deems who is worthy and who is not, and their is no main religion followed. The Beginning of The Journey The Campaign will start in the humble town of Igrithad, a small city that resides in the outskirts of Coreaf. The city Mayor William Wender requests the assistance of adventurers to explore the appearence of new Ruins that have appeared in the Ashkeeper peaks, ones that make strange noises and have even stranger inhabitants... Adventurers travel for all kinds of reasons, may it be a fresh start, an escape, or even a pursuit for glory. This is the first step on that path to greatness!    A Grand Mystery Spreads Across the World of Terra The world of Terra is about to enter a brand new age, and each of the six nations prepare for what is to come... Ruins of past ages appear out of thin air, crops erode and yield no bounty, and magic becomes a rarity to be born with when once it was commonplace. Many questions plague the populace's minds but the powerful provide no answers. Because the world refuses to release its secrets, it is up to brave adventurers to find the truth among the lies!     Joining the World of Terra Each player character that joins the world of Terra shall be personally interconnected with one of the six nations as well as the overarching narrative of the story, giving life to the player characters and their goals throughout a growing narrative! Nations ebb and flow and alliances grow or wane, pushing character dynamics as well as their place within the world constantly in an ever expanding story!   An Entirely New Magical Item System The World of Terra hides secrets from ages past, ages that contain magic never seen by the world as it stands today. An entirely new magic system called The Runes shall be incorporated into the world after the completion of the first quest, bringing an entirely fresh, impactful, and customizable way to empower your character! While I do not wish to spoil the mechanics behind The Rune System if you have any questions or concerns i shall do my best to answer them! Questions and Interest in Joining! If you have any questions about the campaign or the world of Terra feel free to DM me on either Discord or Groupfinder. As said at the beginning the schedule is flexible and it will be the day that best works for the majority of players joining. I look forward to starting a brand new adventure with those interested in the fantasy world of Terra!

Hi.  I run a game on Discord, Tuesday nights, 7 PM Eastern.  It’s a fantasy game…sometimes.  It’s sci-fi set in Shanghai…well, maybe next week.  It was a western a week ago, I think, or was that gothic horror? The game has you as a special agent, traveling to alternate histories for a massive, multi-reality travel agency.  Because all possibilities are possible, you can be whatever you want (within reason, about as powerful as an X-Man/Teen Titan and you must appear as human or at least as something that’s common in reality like a squirrel or something that could wear a holo projector to appear human).  Our group has a Fae cowboy, and a dieselpunk femme fatale.  In the past we've had robots, intelligent sand, hive-mind insect swarms and so on.  You come up with the concept and we’ll make it happen.   The game uses GURPS – a very old, crunchy and confusing game engine.  However, you will not have to do anything, just tell me what you want & I do the numbers.  I (the GM) am so backwards that we do not use AI or software.  I use a paper map and puppets. A bit about the group.  We may have one person, maybe more, leaving and we need a replacement.  This is not set in stone & cannot guarantee this will happen.  The group is mostly younger (20’s-30’s) & mostly women.  Therefore, I would prefer anyone joining to be a woman or at the very least not be weird about it.  This will get you immediately banned.  Please be nice and professional.   If you hate your office job or capitalism in general,  this is the game for you! We’re looking for the following: Foremost is a good personality and a sense of humor.  You can be shy and awkward (shy & awkward people often have the best senses of humor).  Juat don’t bring the mood down.  Next is consistency.  We’d prefer someone that can show up.  We play once per week, and you will need to consider that if you feel it will be an issue.  Finally, we are newb friendly and pro LGBT.  All we ask that you don’t be a jerk.   We do sometimes say naughty words and drink adult beverages.  Well, at least I do.  Please contact me if you have any questions.   I will try my best to accommodate.  This is actually a very special thing we have going on so please take that in consideration.   It's not your average game.   I'd suggest listening in first & you can make up your mind from there.  I’d also consider filling out the questionnaire as it is different than the rest.  You can reach out to me directly at @yeroldpalwill.  I respond quickly.  Thanks.  I do hope to hear from someone.   Hope its you.  Like,  seriously.  Please reach out.   If this is of any interest to you at all, please message me.  I'm probably not going to.   Let destiny happen for once in your life!

Hey I am D, I am searching for 5-6 recruits for a less than good campaign, it's not outright evil but you will be on the wrong side of the law. It is a high fantasy campaign set in a homebrewed world with previous campaigns run in it. It will be a longer campaign with sessions being 3-4 hours weekly. Players will start at level 2 and max out at level 16. The lore long story short, it is a continent called Andrastae with three main countries and one major religion. The party will be starting in the Kal-shien dynasty. This land is home to all of the non standard DND races beast races, fey, and the like. It is a very nepotism based society with your living conditions and social standing being tied to your ancestry, the more powerful your ancestral spirits the better off you are. Kal-shien is a mix of nature and technology, being far more advanced than the other countries.  The party will be joining up with a syndicate faction called The Iron Sands, a well established group that does racketeering, match fixing, various contriband, theft rings and even the rumored occasional assassination. As part of your backstory include a reason you would want to join this syndicate with ambitions to climb within it. I allow players to play any official class, subclass, and race, if it's in an official book I am cool with it. If it's in a book by a content creator I'm generally okay with it I just have to look it over. Other than that no other homebrew. I would be wanting to do a session 0 tomorrow if I have enough players, if any of this interests you dm me on here Disclaimers, I don't care if you use AI some art I will use is AI, I play DND to escape the real world for a time so I don't want politics at the table. Being lgbt isn't politics and is welcomed at the table. I would prefer people over 21, and this is a no horny table (if you say you are visiting a brothel that's fine but there will be no descriptions) no flirting with NPCs or any PCs. And no hurting kids, just not something I vibe with

Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
System: D&D5e (mix of both 2014 and 2024) with homebrew Time Slots Available: Sundays at 6pm GMT-3, Mondays at 7pm GMT-3, Tuesdays at 7pm GMT -3 , Wednesdays at 7pm GMT-3 and Thursdays at 7pm GMT-3 Session Duration: average of 4 hours Session Cost: $5, session 0 will be free. Game Style This is to be a rather unusual run through Curse of Strahd, as some of the content been changed along with small bits of the greater plot. Quite a bit of content from previous editions of Ravenloft, along with new content, has been added in hopes of creating a new experience for newcomers and veterans alike. About the adventure It was a quiet day when a desperate messenger arrived to the great city Ravenport carrying a most distressing message: The nearby lumber town of Halzen has been overtaken by a mysterious mist, any who enter it never to be seen again. The townsfolk put together all the money and resources they had to send an envoy requesting aid, for dark things stalk the nights and more and more of the inhabitants disappear come morning, the sun ever dimmer. The Black Hound's Consort Mercenary Guild has put out an official bounty of 500 units of sterling silver for any that may solve this mystery, but you may find that gold would not have been enough for what you found yourselves against. Campfire embers are the last thing you remember. Whether you were traveling alone or guarding a merchant caravan, the wilderness suddenly went dead silent. Then came the masked attackers—too many, too coordinated, and overwhelmingly lethal. Your camp was slaughtered. But you? You were taken. You awaken in darkness, bound in heavy chains deep underground. If you ever want to feel the sun on your face again, you and your fellow captives must forge a desperate alliance, break free, and survive an escape that will spiral into a world-spanning epic. PRICE: $20 (through PayPal or Venmo) / Session —> Session 0 is free and the first official session is 50% off. The price is negotiable, but everyone at the table's gotta pay the same thing so it's fair.   I also offer "bundles" at a discounted rate. WHAT YOU GET: —> you get to embark on a full homebrew campaign spanning from levels 2 to high teens (possibly even level 20) campaign with personal character arcs tailored to your character’s backstories woven in with the overall narrative. —> there is also an artist in my server that will do a frww character portrait art for each new character in the server SCHEDULE: Sundays (weekly) starting at 10am PST. Players will fill out a quick RPG Comfort Questionnaire featuring a Lines & Veils section to ensure everyone has a safe, fantastic time at the virtual table. OTHER DETAILS: —> To perfectly fit the unique history and regions of Wysteria, your starting character must be a non-PHB (Player's Handbook) species. Send a direct message to @acedespadas on Discord or directly here for to inquire for more. If you’re a great fit for the table, I’ll send over the lore primers and everything you need to start building your character! A BIT ABOUT ME: Hello, my name is Aron, I’m 34 and I started playing this game as the forever DM just before COVID hit and have been DMing multiple weekly games since. I am for the most part fairly introverted which this hobby has helped deal with, and while I may not do all the little funny voices (it’s a thing I’m working on) I’m a sucker for the Rule of Cool and a good story! And what better story then one you build together as a collaboration with other like minded individuals?! Outside of D&D my interests revolve heavily around music, movies, and other general nerd things

A wacky western fantasy adventure where you'll fight to win your fortune, clear your name, bring justice (or vengeance) to those who've wronged you, and (hopefully) even save the city itself. Play by post
The whole game runs as written posts in a chat or forum, so nobody has to be online at the same time.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
The Hook: In the land of Silvestris, an obscuring mist cloaked the land and denied all who tried entry and with it a prophetic dream. A Bishop from the Eclessia Summus went to the Pontiff and told him of what he saw, a dark growing force that desired to blot out the sun and moon, ushering the end of humanity. And so, the Eclessia Summus sent group after group towards Silvestris, only to learn that they could not enter the kingdom or they were never to be seen again. Eventually, the party was summoned in order to investigate the land, a group of individuals who once had ties to Silvestris in one way or another. Within the darkened land, an old evil has returned. After having been slain centuries ago by the hero Aurelius, the dark sorcerer Alaric has risen from the dead to seek his revenge. General: Hello and thank you for reading my listing, I have nearly a decade of experience with DM/GMing as well as playing, accumulating in thousands of hours both on here and Discord, mostly D&D 5e and Pathfinder 2e though dipping my toes into various other systems like Fabula Ultima, Call of Cthulhu, World of Darkness, etc. A lot of this campaign is going to come from your characters as individuals as it's more Gothic Fantasy than the typical high fantasy adventure. Both related to character hooks and motivations as well as Alaric himself as a character who I wanted to have a lot of depth as an antagonist, or even possibly an ally if the party decides to side with him. Big themes of the campaign are betrayal, revenge, redemption and justice. Rules: - For this, all characters will be human to better suit the setting, though who knows if they'll stay that way as the game is played. - It has been a while since I have DM'd 5e, so there may be times where I limit things (whether by removal or tweaking) throughout the game if it feels too against the vibe of the setting or overpowered. - The starting level is 3 - We will be using the Gritty rest system. (Though Long Rests will be 3 days) - I will allow homebrew only if I get to read it first and agree to it. - When designing your character keep gothic/dark fantasy in mind. And, finally, I would like to thank you all again for taking time to read my listing, I hope you apply and I wish you luck to get in. If you have any questions, feel free to DM me.

Curse of Strahd: The Devil Ascendant

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
The mists are calling. Will you answer? There is a land where the sun has forgotten how to shine, where the dead seldom rest, and where every whispered prayer may be answered by something far worse than the gods. Welcome to Barovia. Beyond the choking mists, ancient evils stir. The villagers bar their doors against the night, wolves stalk the forgotten roads, and somewhere high above it all, a dark lord watches from his castle. But something is changing. Old prophecies are stirring. Strange signs mark the heavens. And the threads of fate are being drawn tighter around those unfortunate enough to wander into this cursed domain. In Barovia, death is not always the end. Sometimes, it is merely the beginning. Curse of Strahd: The Devil Ascendant is a reimagined journey into Ravenloft, weaving classic gothic horror, psychological terror, dark mysteries, and unexpected twists into a campaign where your choices carry consequences—and not every monster is what it seems. Whether you are a veteran of Ravenloft or entering the mists for the very first time, do not expect the familiar to remain familiar. CAMPAIGN DETAILS System: D&D 5E (2014 Rules) When: Sundays, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM Eastern (GMT-4) Where: Roll20 & Discord Session Length: 4 hours Cost: $25 CDN per session (Reduced to $10 CDN until January 1st, 2027) The mists have opened. A place awaits you at the table. Come willingly, adventurer. Barovia has never needed an invitation to claim its guests. After all, the Devil knows your name. Will you live long enough to learn his?

House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
No politics of any kind: right, left, sexuality, real world religions, excessive feminism/whatever etc not allowed, if you have a need to make a fuss about that, you will be kicked out. It's perfectly fine to have those views, but don't bring them to the game (this is meant to be fun, social, intellectually challenging). If you have major psych problems that get in the way of simple social interaction (explosive outbursts etc) don't contact me. I do ask for telephone number just in case of you not showing up to game and you didn't tell me otherwise. Emergency stuff, like if you get sick or something. I do care about my players! FEEL FREE TO ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT PLOT AND GROUP COMPOSITION! 1 Give me warning 24 hours before the game if you are gonna cancel. I need the time to tell the others and cancel the game if I don't have enough people to play. This is non negotiable! 2 Play well with others. If you are too disruptive, I will boot you after several warnings. 3 Take a different role each new campaign. Try new things! 4 You have to show up to play 75% of the time. If you cancel too many times, there's no point to having you in the group. 5 Sometimes you will be required to take a role you don't really want because the rest of the group made their picks already, this is meant to help the group have versatility. If this happens, the next campaign I will make sure you get first pick as to your role/class. 6 If you have to make sacrifices for the group, like blowing feats on item crafting etc, I will try to send good things your way. Teamwork is important. I have been GMing since 1997 or so, cut my gaming teeth on AD&D first ed. I go above and beyond for my players. I am very adept at teaching, btw. This campaign is on Mondays at 6pm Central time Discord video chat, but we could change time/day if the other players are willing and able. Set in Chicago, I've added abilities to the NPCs to support their discipline powers, and set the whole timeline from Chicago 1 to 2 and beyond more gradually, changed who lives. Note that I have changed some of the clans a bit, like switched Gangrel(Sabbat) and City Gangrel (Camarilla), turned certain Brujah into True Brujah, a Ventrue into a Nosferatu, that sort of thing. Vampire has characters that are difficult to create without my assistance if you don't know how the numbers and discipline powers work (you distribute dots, there are no classes). However the game play dice mechanics/rules are easy as heck. The hard part is that it demands more forethought to play, because there's a lot of deceptive NPCs, including your own. It is oddly more ethical/moral than medieval fantasy games by far, even though you don't play a hero normally, and even though you're a vampire feeding on humans and aren't human yourself. It's darker I suppose, lots of intrigue and figuring out what is really going on. Kinda like watching Babylon 5 or Dune, you have to take notes to recall everything that could be vital later. A LOT less combat than medieval fantasy games! It's rare, but nasty when it does occur. Maturity is advised. Note that I broke my campaign down in a timeline, it can be altered by PC actions, even down to the year and month.  VERY DETAILED homebrew campaign that can be changed given PC choices. RIght now they are in 1991, you will get the PC's average xp to start with, along with a host of extra little benefits outside what the creation rules normally grant. You dictate the parameters, I figure out how to make the mechanics do what you want and tell you about potential problems, and I pick out flaws so as to give you your own story arc. Its also a great way to get rid of problem NPCs. The Dark Fate flaw is reserved for anyone meeting their end during Gehenna, the end of the world. See, the Antediluvians rise, and they are hungry for their clan members.... That doesn't mean you can't play, you can still run other characters even after your main one croaks. Official list of clans/bloodlines you can take in Chicago compatible with the group as it is: Nosferatu (must take Dark Fate flaw), Toreador, Ventrue, Brujah, Gangrel (Sabbat), Malkavian, City Gangrel (Camarilla), Tzimisce (must take the Dark Fate flaw), Gargoyle, Caitiff (Anarch typically), Assamite (Milwaukee Sabbat), True Brujah (Camarilla). Obscure list (you can take them if you want, but you won't have support from fellow clan members in Chicago): Daughter of Cacophony, Nagarajah, Lamia. Got a Cappadocian (a hospital morgue doctor and a necromancer), Salubri (one Healer(an FBI agent), one Watcher (a homicide Chicago police detective), one Salubri Warrior that also has Celerity as clan, and Lasombra (an amateur boxer and criminal lawyer, he wants to go Camarilla). I have set up each pc to have fast growth, to have really good rolls for their disciplines right away. The party could use a member that has Vicissitude, Animalism as clan, or possibly Thaumaturgy. Luckily there's a 5 point merit that allows anyone to buy clan xp rates, hint hint.  If you go into this expecting to create your character without regard to the setting or the group composition, you can kiss your entitled butt goodbye. Even if I did nothing different as GM, the group would suffer and your PC might not make it. I do get your back when I get the chance if you are willing to try a clan you don't normally. You gotta also pay for mentor ratings since you need a teacher to increase your disciplines outside of Celerity, Fortitude, Potence. BTW, I made these 3 powers much easier to use, and less vitae expensive. If you pick from the obscure list, you can BUY up to 7th generation, but you blow 6 background dots to pull it off.  Caitiff are interesting, I made them able to teach ANY discipline they learn; normally the 13 clans can only teach their clan disciplines. A Tremere is possible, but you'd need to be a diehard Anarch (meaning the local Tremere want your keister dead, although good news for you that the Chicago ones are less than competent). If you don't know the clans, I can give you information but you will need the V20 core rulebook (learning the setting and abilities but not the disciplines), the dark ages core rulebook (mostly just for the super powers/disciplines), tome of secrets (all forms of vampire magic, even Obtenebration), and Erciyes Fragments (this will feature heavily in the campaign, its the Vampire bible of sorts including prophecies) books. Also a total of 20 d10's, basically two matched sets of 10 d10's, but the 2 sets cannot match each other. Preferably translucent dice, not solid. Chuck out any that have bubbles inside. Game always starts at 6pm central Mondays. The Guide to the Camarilla from the Revised edition might be handy, but not strictly necessary. Prince's Primer is nice for understanding elder vampires' mindset. They are very manipulative, and deceptive. I am using V20 for most of the fluff, with slight alterations to politics, the abilities for the most part. DAV20 is for the disciplines, the special powers. I can get you pdfs of the two core books free. We are also using Ercyicyes Fragments and Book of Nod in the campaign, the party just got a copy of both by accident. Yes, I will be taking the campaign into the end of the world, Gehenna. Lore of the Clans and Lore of the Bloodlines might be useful. This is a copy of an update I gave to a player that missed a session: Both Michael Payne Toreador and Son of the Malkavians are dead, and Jay found another body in the basement, this time of a dead boy, a formerly months old vampire Caitiff. His name was Neon, and Damien of the Brujah (one of 2 anarch leaders was caring/teaching for Neon) Damien will have to be told. Neon was chained via manacles to the basement floor in Son's Skokie residence, his throat ripped out and his face gnawed upon. Evidence was found that Son was blackmailing Horatio Ballard into insane and demeaning acts. You could get a major boon from Ballard using this, or use it against him in other ways. (the players gave this information to the Nosferatu, who now owe them big time)  Ballard apparently has been naughty. Michael accidentally killed Son, and Michael is dead thanks to the party knocking him into torpor, and the elders ending him. recall, Michael was suicidal, and homicidal after the party ended his ex wife. plus had a rep for being a thug who used to cause chaos your character Salubri Healer just rescued the young couple that Son was psychologically torturing, and you shot Michael (bashing damage, just reduced him to torpor) as he tried to use Ben the Cappadocian as a shield

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Take up residence in one of Night City's wildest cargo villages: Dock Cargo Community. Dodge bullets, eat kibble, try to make rent. Docksiders is a game intended to run as a campaign following a group of edgerunners who live in one of the more colorful neighborhoods of Night City: Dock Cargo Community. Nestled between Docks 16 and 17 in the port district of Night City, this small container village sees as much City foot traffic as it does sea traffic. This game will see you taking your edgerunner(s) through a series of jobs and side hustles they need to fund their stylish and dangerous lifestyle. You can expect to see content from both official sources and custom content as well as the ability to plan your own jobs should you acquire the skill and the reputation. Take big risks, take big rewards. But be warned, Night City is an unforgiving place and it would be foolish for anyone to think they will live forever. I use the StartPlaying platform to run this game and you can find the sign-up link here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmr9j3hnv004rl504bjya77g6?ref=cmox97rts0032jx04sp2wo0xq You can expect about 15$ per session and a long-form campaign taking you through a sandbox world of Night City.

The Witchlight Carnival — A Feywild Mystery

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Sign up here: startplaying.games In this Daggerheart campaign, you’ll begin with a clear mission: enter the mysterious Witchlight Carnival, find a path into the Feywild realm of Prismeer, and discover what happened to the powerful archfey Zybilna. But once you arrive at the carnival, something becomes disturbingly familiar. You’ve been here before. Long ago, when you were a child, something was taken from you. Not gold. Not gear. Something personal—something you may have spent years believing was simply part of who you are. A memory. A feeling. A talent. A sense of belonging. A piece of yourself. Now, the trail of that loss leads in the same direction as your mission. From the Witchlight Carnival, you’ll cross into Prismeer, a fractured fairy-tale realm where reality bends to emotion, promises carry power, and the past, present, and future have fallen into dangerous hands. Over the course of the campaign, you will: Explore surreal locations, from living swamps and enchanted forests to impossible mountains and storybook kingdoms gone wrong. Discover how your own childhood loss is connected to the forces now controlling the realm Negotiate with cunning Fey, strange rulers, tricksters, monsters, and creatures with agendas of their own Make bargains, promises, and difficult choices that can reshape the story Recover what was taken from you—and decide what it means to become whole again. Using the Daggerheart system, the campaign emphasizes cinematic storytelling, emotional stakes, collaborative worldbuilding, and character growth. Your Hope, Stress, relationships, and personal history matter just as much as what you can do in a fight.

Sign up here:  https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmleg236r00awl1042w6k0pbn You were turned into a vampire less than six months ago. You have no status. No patron. No seat at any table. And in this city, no one holds uncontested power. Ancient factions compete for influence in the shadows. 🩸 The Camarilla offers stability, tradition, and protection — if you accept their authority. 🩸 The Anarchs promise freedom and power for those bold enough to take it. 🩸 The Ministry whispers of faith, temptation, and liberation from the lies of vampire society. None of them trust each other. All of them are watching the newest vampires in the city. And now something has gone wrong. A feral vampire begins killing in your hunting grounds, threatening the Masquerade and drawing dangerous attention. Unfortunately, the blame is falling on your coterie. Handle it poorly, and you’ll be dismissed as reckless fledglings. Handle it well? 🩸 The city might finally start to notice you. The Chronicle You begin as newly embraced vampires, still learning the rules of the undead world. The opening story introduces the dangers of unlife — hunting, secrecy, faction politics, and the struggle to hold onto your humanity. After that initial crisis resolves, the direction of the chronicle opens up based on your choices. Your coterie will decide: 🩸 Which factions you trust — or betray 🩸 What territory you claim as your domain 🩸 Which allies you cultivate 🩸 Which enemies you create 🩸 What kind of vampires you ultimately become Some coteries pursue power and influence. Some fight to remain independent in a city full of predators. Some struggle to hold onto what little humanity they have left. The city reacts to all of it. Allies remember. Enemies plot. Power shifts. What to Expect: 🩸 Political intrigue between rival vampire factions 🩸 Territory and domain conflicts 🩸 Character-driven storytelling 🩸 Personal horror and moral dilemmas 🩸 A reactive city shaped by your choices Every character will have personal goals, relationships, and storylines that influence the chronicle. New Players Welcome --No prior experience with Vampire: The Masquerade is required. Your characters begin as newly turned vampires, meaning you’ll learn the world of the undead at the same time your character does. Experienced players will find plenty of room for political maneuvering, faction intrigue, and long-term consequences. Have a vampire concept you’re excited about? Message me! I’m happy to help shape characters that fit the city, the factions, and the story we’ll build together.

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Monday - Thursday    A group decides on day & time Most people will probably play between 16:00 – 21:00 (GMT+0) It'll be played in a Discord voice chat "Theatre of the Mind" playstyle (means no VTT) Discord (weebseatshit) *PREMISE* You are dragged into a dangerous encounter together with other unlucky ones. Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's an RP-focused, Forgotten Realms based homebrew campaign, with an emphasis on story & adventures Ratio: 60 Roleplay/30 Exploration/10 Combat Starting level is 1, Point Buy, Milestone leveling Spells become cantrips, a player can cast them without components or GP Cooldown of spells depends from their power level & the DM's will, but if a player is gonna spam spells, i'll Elfen Lied him or put some shit like Leo Bonhart from Witcher  Some spells that affect game's balance & world, may be forbidden. It'll be discussed HP are cinematic. Depending from how much & what kind of damage a character receives, i'll adjust his condition Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) Artificer & Psion aren't allowed I'll describe locations & looks with little to no detail Just like with the books, i'd prefer that every player imagined their own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore) About forbidden spells As an example, this is only level 1 Wizard, but i hope you get an idea Mending Charm Person Detect Magic Detect Poison and Disease Friends Unseen Servant Tasha's Hideous Laughter Sudden Awakening Sleep Sense Emotion Puppet Identify Id Insinuation Healing Elixir Disguise Self Comprehend Languages Cause Fear Ressurection & lethal spells Instead of using ability checks or in-game tools (acquiring unique items, talking to people, searching for clues, improvise), a player casts a spell that speedruns a campaign But a player can prepare all other spells A tystling is similar to a cat Monochrome darkvision Enhanced senses: smell, hearing, vision, touch & balance (+3 Dexterity, Perception, Acrobatics) Soft step: walking is almost noiseless (unless a tystling has something noisy on), running is slightly quieter comparing to other races (+4 Stealth) A tystling is shorter than an elf, but taller than a dwarf A tystling is slim like an elf, but lighter than an elf, with smaller muscles. That makes a tystling even more agile & dexterous than an elf, but it's very hard for a tystling to lift or carry medium heavy things (8 AC, -5 Strength, Athletics)

Daggerheart | What came after the fall.

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
We are a group looking for 1-2 new players to join us for an upcoming daggerheart campaign that takes place in my new homebrew setting of Insonja. A mysterious supernatural event caused 3/4th of the world's population to disapear in a flash and then the world fell apart to war, famine and monsters resulting in its current post-apocolyptic state. The players are survivors who reside in the former capital of the world's greatest super power, the imperium of Reem. What survived of the capital and the heartland of the imperium was taken over by a cult that worships a group of angelic beings that are known as the Heralds. The rules of the cult are strict and they expect everyone who resides in its domain to follow said rules regardless of own opinion on religion. However the capital of Reem is one of the few safe areas in the world with civilization. Will this cult provide the safety and salvation that it claims to offer, or is it just replacing the chaos of the wasteland with a different form of evil?  This will be my second attempt at running a daggerheart campaign after the last one fell apart due to scheduling issues. The plan is to run the game as long as players keep interest in it. While I am new to running daggerheart I do have plenty of experience running dnd 5e and other systems.  I have a zero tolerance policy for bigotry and bullying. I am on the autism spectrum and we have LGBT+ players in the group. If interested in the game send my a message on discord, my username is billbroston. We will try to schedule a chat with me and the rest of the current group to decide who will be the ones to be invited to the campaign. We plan on having a session at least every other week on Wednesda.

Blades in the Dark: The Red Dawn

Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
No paid games
On a player profile - you are looking for free games and are not interested in paid ones.
About the Game Blades in the Dark is a tabletop roleplaying game about a crew of audacious scoundrels seeking their fortunes on the haunted streets of an industrial-fantasy city. There are no heroes here—you play as criminals, outcasts, and survivors navigating a grim metropolis trapped in eternal darkness, surrounded by restless ghosts and a corrupt regime. The game runs on the fast-paced, narrative-driven Forged in the Dark system. Instead of getting bogged down in endless math, it focuses on daring heists, flashbacks, creative problem-solving, and dealing with the messy consequences of your criminal lifestyle. About the Crew: "The Red Dawn" We are playing as The Red Dawn, a Bravos crew. While other gangs might stick to quiet burglaries or smuggling, your crew thrives on intimidation, violent enforcement, and direct action. However, you aren't just common thugs for hire—The Red Dawn are freedom fighters fighting the system. You are pushing back against the oppressive authorities, corrupt nobles, and ruthless factions tightening their grip on the city. Expect a gritty mix of high-stakes heists, bloody turf wars, and revolutionary defiance against a world that wants to keep you down. Campaign Status & Who We're Looking For Current Status: We have already played a couple of sessions, so the group dynamics are forming, and the world is starting to react to our crew's actions. New Players Welcome: Don't worry if you missed the very beginning! It is very easy to jump right into an ongoing Blades in the Dark campaign. Whether your character is an existing ally breaking out of prison, a fierce new muscle brought into the fold, or a specialist looking to join the cause, we will weave you seamlessly into the narrative. Vibe: Collaborative, cinematic, character-driven, and focused on having fun together while our scoundrels bite off way more than they can chew. Interested? If you want to spark a revolution with a sharp blade and a stubborn streak, leave a comment below or send me a message telling me a bit about your TTRPG experience and what kind of scoundrel you'd love to play!

Dune: The heretics gift

Thursdays 10pm est DUNE: THE HERETIC’S GIFT — Looking for Players You owe a criminal kingpin a very large favor. Luckily, he’s offering you a way out. Intercept a mysterious “gift” being exchanged between the Bene Tleilax and a religious zealot House. Bring it back and your debt is wiped clean—and you’ll be paid handsomely. Just don’t start a holy war. And try not to get yourselves dealt with. This will be a short Dune: Adventures in the Imperium arc of up to 5 sessions, with intrigue, espionage, action, questionable decisions, and plenty of room for players to decide how they approach the mission. Afterward, I’m looking to bring together players for a longer campaign where we’ll build our House together and decide as a group what kind of Dune story we want to tell. I’ve been GMing for 10+ years and running Dune since the Modiphius game released. 2d20 is my favorite system to run, and I’m a lifelong Dune fan who grew up with the novels and the gloriously weird David Lynch film. New players are absolutely welcome.

Baltimore, MD. 2026... You haven't been Kindred for long, a decade at most. The Camarilla is a monstruous monolith, but also fairly simple to understand: don't give anyone a reason, and you might just make it one more night. From what you've learned, the modern nights are a different kind of beast. The Masquerade is as frail as it's ever been, and while your Domain is usually uneventful and has managed to keep out of the Inquisition's sight, any misstep could send everything spiraling. Which is why, two nights ago, the entire Domain was shook to its core. A nurse attacked at the hospital's parking lot, left drained on the concrete. The worst part? She survived, and someone filmed the attack. The clip has now ended up on the local news, the worst breach of the Masquerade the city has seen in years, and the Prince is out for blood. Tonight begins with her eminence herself announcing to the entire Domain that she has identified the perpetrator, and has called upon a Blood Hunt. Before dawn approaches, any Kindred in town is invited to hunt down the criminal and bring them to justice by any means necessary — an many are already licking their fangs at the possibility of a sanctioned diablerie. The problem? The culprit is your friend, a neonate Caitiff with good relations to the Coterie. And shortly after the Hunt is called, she contacts you and swears by her innocence. She has possibly been framed, and the clock is already ticking on her unlife. Will you uphold your own convictions and help a friend in need, uncovering the truth behind the incident before it's too late, and bringing the real culprit to light, or will you betray your humanity and take this chance at status and power, and join the rest of the city on Hunt? You have until sunrise, make your choice and act quick, and change the course of this Blood Hunt. To learn more and join the game, check it out on StartPlaying!

What Hides in Mountain Stone

The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello everyone, Alex here! I am a new GM on Start Playing, and I am looking for players for my mini campaign. I am hoping to become a full-time GM and figured this was the best way to start. A bit about me: I've been a GM for 7 years. I am an artist, illustrator, animator, voice actor, and writer. And I absolutely love roleplaying!  Game Premise: In the world of Anangnibi (pronounced Ah-nahng-nee-bee) there looms a threat to the local towns and villages outside of a major port city called Agonan Mizhakwad (pronounced Ah-goh-nahn Meez-hahk-wahd). Reports of attacks have become more frequent and many have claimed to see a flying creature up within the mountains. Maps indicate that there is an old fort that has been empty for quite some time in the area. The local authorities have put up a reward for heroes to go and investigate the area and find out what has been happening. You as the heroes will find yourselves walking into the mountains to find the old hold, and once you get there, you'll find out that you have gotten far more than you bargained for. Who, or what, awaits within the halls of old abandoned stone? And will you survive the secrets within? Or will you be claimed by death much the same as those of the poor raided villages? Death lurks here, cold and indifferent like the sitting stone. You will need your strength and wit if you want to survive. So be prepared to face the challenges and discover the mystery of what hides within the mountain stone. Game Price: $25 per person  Session count: 1-3 sessions Session length: 4-5 hours Player Character Level: 5 System: D&D 5E Sourcebooks accepted: PHB 14, XGE, TCE, VGM (Other sourcebooks are open to discussion) Homebrew and 3rd Party: Open to discussion More information and details about the game can be found here on the Start Playing post: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmt21mabu0037l404tjn7c32u?ref=cmrmikhi800frl704k6ca84nl  Content warning: While I am a newbie player friendly DM/GM, the game I am running is a DEADLY game with a DEADLY dungeon; your characters have a high chance of dying. Dungeons in the Mist

Looking to start up a "monthly" game of D&D 5e 2014, Legend in the Mist, City of Mist, Savage Worlds, Genesys, or another system in some genre we agree on or any other system that might be fun to try. Getting my current group is like herding cats so I play far too infrequently so I'd like a bit more consistency. I'm interested in running a Call of Cthulhu style game using the City of Mist rulebook. I want a relaxed beer and pretzels game primarily centered around narrative game play peppered with cinematic action. Preferable game times are Saturdays from noon until quitting time, or Sunday noon until 6ish. Location might by in a garage, or a local game store that's open until 10pm.

Call of Cthulhu

Call of Cthulhu  I will be running some Call of Cthulhu one shots on Friday nights at my house in Hampden starting at 7. My goal is to start a long term campaign. Beginners are welcome. Pre-generated character sheets will be provided until you’re comfortable making your own. Call of Cthulhu is set in the 1920s. However, I believe that if we’re playing in a world where eldritch horrors exist, we can also play in a world lacking much of the racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. that existed in those times. However, your flashlight will be heavy, clunky and period appropriate. If you are interested and willing to be patient with a relatively new GM, I will send you an application. Please do not let inexperience in CoC prevent you from applying. If you enjoy heavy role play, detective work, teamwork, horror, and light combat then this is the TTRPG for you.

ABOUT: In the town of Rowbury, Pennsylvania, two people were found horrifically murdered ten days apart from each other. Your superiors at CAIN believe this is sign that a sin has infiltrated the town, and have tasked you and your team to find it and neutralize it in whatever method necessary. They are holding off police as much as they can, but you only have hours before they push back. Or, until the situation escalates beyond your control. You are weapons, weapons that must do your task of wiping the stain clean. This game and system are heavily inspired by Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man, so if you are fans of either or both of these things, you may enjoy this game! ABOUT: This adventure takes place in the Sansinukob Wildspace. This system has 13 planets, held together by a dead and forgotten god at the center. There are no suns here, only moons to illuminate every planet. Fifty years ago, a monstrous sea serpent named Bakunawa awakened from her slumber, consumed by endless hunger. She consumed all six moons above planet Tawalisi, one by one, until they were left in darkness for thirty years. Twenty years ago, the datu, Maximo Catubig, invented Bulan Lights, magical lamps that emit artificial moonlight, finally bringing light back to his people. They were a solace, soon placed in every home in Tawalisi. The people were finally able to thrive again, and Maximo helped pave the way to further technological advancement. However, decades of darkness had taken its toll; Some of the citizens of Tawalisi have become consumed by the same hunger that possessed Bakunawa, mutating their bodies and destroying their minds until all they can think about is eating the Bulan Lights. They will stop at nothing to consume all sources of moonlight, and will hurt and kill anything and anyone that gets in the way. Datu Maximo has called for help from all adventurers willing to listen. Assist him in installing these lights wherever he can, so he can save his people from being plunged into darkness again. Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Survival horror, sci-fi  campaign based on the indie game "SIGNALIS" , played with  modified cp-red meccanics. [This table usses a slightly Faster PbP format , especially when It comes to in game conversations] ________________________________ You will find yourselves on the frozen moon of Rotfront, where the Hayades multi-function maintenance station has ceased communication with the outside world and things are taking a strange turn... all while a mysterious state of emergency is declared. In this campaign, you can choose from a wide range of roles based on the survival horror game "SIGNALIS"—a sci-fi communist dystopia featuring retrowave technology. Your characters can be either a Replika (a biomechanical construct based on a mental pattern) or a Gestalt—an ordinary and "free" Eusan citizen. GAMEPLAY: -Roleplay -Combat and scarce resources: Although most CP mechanics will be heavily overshadowed by resource scarcity, the campaign's survival horror mechanics ensure there is never a dull moment. This campaign may contain: gore, sexual/psychological themes, and—above all—cosmic horror; madness is not a matter of "if," but of "how much." (18+) The campaign's homebrew content includes: -Races and models (Gestalt, Replika) -Changes to cyberware compatibility -Addition of a new weapon type (carbine) -Buffs to automatic fire and SMGs; changes to certain rates of fire -Various exotic weapons -Buffs to certain cyberware -Bioresonance mechanics Billing: of course you will never be asked to pay to play or to continue playng, but donations are wellcome and help me keep putting all the effort i put on the games i run. (A lot, too much probably)

Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Whatever the opposite of a railroaded adventure is, this open-world campaign is that. The rules are simple. The world is complicated. What happens to it is up to the players. You will hear rumors, discover locations, meet competing factions, and encounter problems, but the game will not tell you which direction you must take. Some things the players have chosen to do so far: Join the local mercenaries to learn the ways of the sword as a mage - Retrieve an old lady's purse - Become war chieftain of an orc village - Decapitate a wight with a cursed sword Also some new races that are crafted to play and feel very different: - Pixie - fly, perfect hiding, cast phantasmal forces at will, insults cause physical damage to you - Orc - infra-vision, can recruit monsters more easily Races and classes are kind of blended together. Multiple characters are encouraged. Each choice allows you to do something that appears to let you break the game, while saddling you with something else that seems debilitating. This is by design, and players have come up with a few ways of getting around and abusing these things to the betterment of the story and lore. - Fighting-Man - Doesn't have to actually be a guy, but is a human. Can use all weapons and armor. - Magic-User - Has one spell, one "shot". Can meet with magic learned peers to exchange knowledge. The most notorious spell in the game right now is Charm Person because it doesn't wear off like in later editions. - Cleric - The best of the two above, but must be Good, and by the Law. - Elf - Essentially a Magic-Use/Fighting-Man with extra perks and ties with elves and the ability to sense magic, enhanced senses, etc. but capped at a certain point - Hobbit - Capped early, but can hide flawlessly in urban areas and snipe REAL good with slings. No magic. - Dwarf -  Capped early, but high resistance, good with all axes and hammers, can sense what stone touches and its shape, and ties with and extensive knowledge of dwarven culture and holds. There are major events going on in the background but instead of shoving players in the middle of them, I showcase the developments of those events that come about, for good or ill. The players decide what to investigate, whom to trust, which dangers are worth confronting, and what their characters want to accomplish. How many hirelings do you need to bring with you? How much can you do successfully alone to maximize profit? Play alone, 1-on-1 with DM and player, or up to 10 others at once. The world continues to develop around the party. Factions pursue their own plans, NPCs remember your actions, enemies adapt, settlements can change, and neglected situations may grow better or worse. Player choices can permanently reshape the campaign world. Let me know if you are interested!

There are no stars, only heroes! Welcome! We will be running a long-term hybrid homebrew 5e D&D campaign and writing project which will eventually be published online weekly called Pinnacle (stylized ?innacle), with two available slots open! Our five-person group is tight-knit and we are hoping for friends rather than casual players that leave right after sessions. It will be strictly done on Discord in text format Monday or Tuesday evenings from 7:30 PM - 10 PM EST. It will also be a collaborative effort, with an emphasis on player participation in both world-building and consequent lore. The campaign will be split into alternating arcs: one taking place in the past and one in the present!  We have a compendium, timeline and calendar with some guidelines on the in-game universe constructed so far along with a few requirements for applying: - Must be 25+, LGBTQIA+ inclusive  - Lives on U.S. East Coast - No use of AI tolerated - Be very comfortable with improvisation and collaboration - Engaged and committed to the experience through participation beyond during sessions - Experienced in and leans towards a more RP-heavy style - Extensive reading comprehension skills - Previous D&D experience (not a dealbreaker) - Lean towards more cerebral/thought provoking themes and clues  Perks will include tons of art of your character, printed books, shirts and more! We will be asking for a filled out form for a potential character in the campaign. To be considered, you must integrate official lore or your application will be disregarded. The more creative, the better!  Please consider the following too when creating this character:   - In a meta-sense, they will be regarded in present part of the campaign as a legendary hero in the campaign-titular guild Pinnacle. - The environment is resource-scarce due to desertification and has led to intense competitiveness and individuality. Well-knit communities not based on economic drive are rare. - The party currently consists of a tiefling bard, human cleric, half sea-genasi/half sea-elf paladin and a high-elf sorcerer. Do not try to min-max or optimize your role for the team as it’s all about the story. - Lore comes first so do not worry about stats or a character sheet yet! Upon advancing, we will be holding an additional phase where we will be doing a one-shot campaign to see how you mesh with the other players in the group and the DM style. Good luck and feel free to shoot me a message if you are willing to read the material and fill out the form. We are aware this will be a lengthy process but hopefully a fun and fulfilling exercise for any interested! ❤️

Welcome to the Somnium Shard. A sundered paradise; knowledge, gods and power's all known throughout the land, its history coveted by lost tomes, cosmic knowledge and crazed minds. With earliest carvings detailing a different world that may have been the Shard's muse, the inspiration for reality. However not all could be replaced, and the world's panorama was in its own natural discourse, with the residents at home. With that overly grand intro done welcome to my personal world, a multi-year labour of love that I'm still working on with every session, a sandbox type world for players to discover, learn about and influence as they desire. Designed as an open campaign for players to fit into as they wish, follow the threads of their backstory, or start a questline that leads to them swearing loyalty to a kingdom. Whatever it is you feel you want to do in a fantasy world I'll accommodate it as well as I can. However do not think that this means everything is free, the Somnium Shard is still a living and breathing world, thievery, murder and the sort will have consequences, as will trying to steal that magical artifact. You'll have to contend with mages scrying on you, rangers tracking you and bounty hunters after you if you upset the wrong people. So come and join the adventure, see where your characters can take you, how they can evolve and develop in this world with a DM that can handle whatever you feel like throwing at him. Welcome,  We will be starting a Shadowrun 6E mini campaign from our 'Let's Learn Series' from the Iron Quill Guild. Of Hope and Other Sorrows is a Tolkien-grounded, roleplay-heavy sandbox campaign where exploration, friendships, difficult choices, and small acts of courage shape an unfolding story. Your adventures also share a living world with my established Thursday campaign. Through letters, rumours, and discoveries, the actions of one fellowship may influence the fate of another. What to expect: Meaningful roleplay, exploration, mystery, and occasional dangerous combat. A reactive world shaped by your choices and character backstories. A welcoming, collaborative table for newcomers and veterans alike. GAME START: I have three players. voting on starting date and time begins now.  I am still looking for more players. Game system: Pathfinder 2e Remastered, with optional rules to recapture more of the 3.5 D&D feel. CONTENT WARNING: This is not an inclusive or “safe space” game. Fantasy adventure involves horrible and offensive topics. This official module combined with the "Crown of the kobold king" can include or touch on: abduction, potential player-character death, extreme poverty, death by dysentery, stagnant water, fantasy deities, magic and the occult, animal harm, violence and gore, maiming driven by racial hatred, prostitution, brothels, sex, alcohol use, drug abuse, addiction, poisoning, murder, false accusation, witch hunts, religion twisted into fanaticism, abandoned children, harm to children, thinly veiled pedophilia (among the Paizo staff) plague and mass death, genocide, war, indentured servitude (slavery), Unichs, false imprisonment, assassins, violations of the Nuremberg principles on informed consent and experimentation, supernatural pacts, beheadings, tyranical taxes, death, evil cults, indoctrination, domination, unlawful detention, bondage, imprisonment, toxic waste, environmental destruction, torture, body horror, maiming and death by fire or acid, corpses and human remains, undead (ghosts, ghouls, vampires), giant spiders and webbing, snakes, bats, other monstrous insects and vermin, necrophilia, non-consensual undeath, prolonged drowning, quicksand, twisted “nobility,” family legacies of incest and debt, fiery destruction, animal attacks, gruesome traps, mind control, forced transformations (lycanthropy), volcanic eruption, hazardous geo thermal features, claustrophobia, and more. Not for the fragile or the mentally ill.  Published module: The Fall of Plaguestone. Twist: Run as an Otherworlder / Isekai adventure (influences include Sword Art Online, Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash, The Wizard of Oz, the “Den” segment of the animated film Heavy Metal, and similar stories). You and a few others are somehow brought to another world of monsters, magic, and madness. Optional rules and Character creation: All player characters are Human only. Ancestral Paragon, Free Archetype, gradual ability boosts, Automatic bonus progresion are in play. Characters begin with amnesia. They have no classes or background—these must be earned in play. No evil characters. Not using the free ability boosts method. Ability scores are rolled: 3d6, then replace the lowest die with a 6. Only ancestry boost is applied. Ability scores (and the resulting bell curve) help describe your character. Attribute − 10 is the modifier. Good and Evil are objective, real forces. Alignment is not used, but sins committed are tracked. WHY?: because you are told that the 1st level DC is 14, the hard DC is 18... but you will face DC's 23 and higher. (MATH: The difference between 14 and 23 is 9. a first level fighter with a +4 str mod has a +9, meaning the fighter player is starting with a 70% chance of FAILURE. not only that... roll a 4 or less [total 13 or less] against DC 23 the fighter has critically failed. You have to roll a nat 20 to get a critical success, 5%... but you have a 20% chance of CRITICAL FAILURE).  You will face creatures that can instantly kill and remove one player character from the battlefield (ala Swallow whole and more). what if the character in question is a Weapon impliment thaumaturge with a maximum of +3 str modifier, and only trained proficiency rank attacks? compared to the fighter, you are automatically at a -3 disadvantage! [EVERY +1 MATTERS] who wants to be the two or three players that must waste their actions, only so that the best suited character still has a 50% or greater chance of failure?) This is why I am going to make you far more powerful than the NPC's who are all bloated, fat, incompetent, or really really old... (Doubt me? read the book!) This is why it falls to the player characters to take on this adventure! Introduction: You arrived at the northeastern tip of the nation of Isger, inside a farmer’s harvest and seed storage building, surrounded by Tar Baphon's undead hordes. one of the otherworld characters on watch ran outside and was promptly slain by ghouls. Seems all of you are trapped! Bort Bargrith's caravan clears the way and intent on resupply stop at the harvest storage building. Bort the dwarf rogue, Tamil the elven bard, and Shae the halfling ranger discover all of you. There is a confusing moment when no one can comunicate due to language. Bort provides a magical ring that gives you litteracy and fluency in the Common Andorian language. Bort says, "you must come with us or you will die here! The farmer families who opperated these farms are dead and by salvage rites you lot own all of this Stock. You can join my caravan fleeing Tar Baphon, in exchange for some of your goods."   GM: on the journey you may learn languages, purchase 30 gold of starting equipment, through use of Bort's magic rings and from the mass of refugees in the caravan get training in a trade (earn your background) and adapt to this world (earn your class) in the months of travel south. Setting context (past twenty years): Tar Baphon, the Slayer of Aroden, the Arch-lich, and the Dread Tyrant’s undead armies are marching south. The Goblinblood Wars have recently ended (a united effort by greenskin and scaled races to genocide everyone else). The orc war against the dwarves of the Five Kings Mountains has only recently ended. The hobgoblin Ironfang invasion of Molthune and Nirmathas has recently ended. Cults of undeath, disease, plague, death, chaos and destruction (Urgathoa, the Whispering Way, Rovagug) have been largely decimated, but hidden cultists remain and anyone you meet could be one. A recent witch-hunting inquisition died out, yet public suspicion of spellcasters still runs deep among survivors. A plague on the east side of the nation of Isger killed 70% of the mortal population. Platform: Discord. Voice. I will share my screen. I use Pathbuilder ( $5 to unlock all features, it is helpful if you have it, but you do not need it.). Starting: At a time the players agree on, once I have three or more players. Contact me here if you want to join and play in this Adventure.

Ghost of Saltmarsh X Call From The Deep (maritime)

Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
I'm looking for two players to join an ongoing, long-term D&D campaign built around immersive roleplay, challenging combat, memorable characters, and a story that can grow far beyond the usual adventure. 🐉 About Me as a DM I'm an experienced DM who has completed several campaigns, including Tyranny of Dragons, Lost Mine of Phandelver, Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen, and Dreams of the Red Wizards. I've been playing with three players for years, and we're now looking to welcome two new adventurers into our group. I love old-school fantasy, meaningful character interactions, dangerous encounters, and the kind of storytelling that makes the table remember a session long after it's over. I care more about the story and the players' choices than enforcing every rule to the letter. I'm flexible when it makes sense, and my biggest satisfaction as a DM is creating memorable moments and driving a compelling narrative. 🌊 The Campaign The campaign is a long nautical adventure on the Sword Coast, built from Ghosts of Saltmarsh and Call from the Deep. It starts in Saltmarsh, a small fishing town with a smuggling problem and a divided council. From there it grows into a voyage up and down the coast, through Neverwinter, Baldur's Gate, Waterdeep, Luskan and the pirate islands beyond, as the party uncovers something stirring beneath the waves. Expect your own ship and crew, sea battles, haunted wrecks, flooded ruins, intrigue in port towns and the peoples of the deep, some of whom might become allies. The choices you make will come back to help or haunt you. So far, the party has cleared out a smugglers' den, captured their ship and survived a night aboard a ship of the dead. Now they are deep in a lizardfolk lair, trying to turn an uneasy truce into an alliance. The campaign is set in the Forgotten Realms, with its foundations inspired by Ghosts of Saltmarsh and Call from the Deep. I've built a massive framework with plenty of room for expansion, player-driven stories, and unexpected developments. To give you an idea of the scale, I currently have: 60+ maps prepared. 300 NPCs to meet, befriend, antagonise, or regret crossing. Hundreds of magic items to discover. A campaign framework designed to grow alongside the party( shortlist of about 10 one shots - wiaiting for an opportunity to plug them in)  I also try to bring NPCs to life using VOICEMOD nd my own attempts at different accents. I'm no professional voice actor, but I enjoy making the world feel alive! ⚔️ What to Expect My games focus on roleplay and combat in equal measure. I'm not particularly puzzle-focused, although I'm happy to introduce puzzles when they fit the adventure. Combat is challenging, tactical, and unforgiving. I like putting players under pressure, making their decisions matter, and creating encounters where victory feels earned. Character death is a real possibility, and even a total party kill is on the table. I'll challenge you hard, but I'll give you meaningful choices and opportunities to fight for survival. This isn't a campaign where you can expect every encounter to be balanced around an easy victory. Think carefully, work together, and don't underestimate your enemies.(my motto: never split the party)  🧙 The Current Party You'll be joining a party consisting of: A male tiefling Mystic with psionic abilities. A 6'2" female half-elf/human fighter wielding a two-handed sword. An aaracokra druid. I'm looking for two characters who can become part of this group, contribute to its dynamics, and help shape the direction of the story. 🤝 Who I'm Looking For Personality and teamwork matter more to me than building the perfect character. I'm looking for players who: Have engaging personalities and enjoy interacting with others. Are genuine team players rather than lone wolves who want to be the main character. Enjoy both roleplay and challenging combat. Respect the other players and contribute to a fun, collaborative table. Are interested in committing to a long-term campaign and developing their characters over time. You don't need to be an expert on the rules or an amazing roleplayer. Just bring enthusiasm, creativity, a willingness to collaborate, and a character who has a reason to be part of the adventure. New players welcome and must be able to commit weekly ( with an exception of holidays or real life) - i have a little boy, my time is scarce sharing between family, travels and work, so i expect a commitment  not a casual attendance.  🎨 A Little About Me Outside the Game When I'm not DMing, I'm a father to a little boy who just started crawling, I paint miniatures, travel, cycle, and craft marketing strategies for living.  D&D is one of my favourite creative outlets, and I put a lot of time and effort into building a world that feels alive. If you're looking for a long-term adventure with rich roleplay, dangerous combat, a living world, and a DM who genuinely enjoys crafting stories with his players, I'd love to hear from you. Two seats are open. The Realms are waiting. It's a free game, i do not provide dnd beyond but can import your character, my foundry has a module to built a character - but ideally let me know what you anticipate to play.

D&D "The Sea of Fallen Stars" new players friendly

The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
One would think the Sea of Fallen Stars ought to be gentler than wide fathomless expanses of Faeruns oceans. One would be dangerously wrong. Ships inbound for Alaghon are going missing all the time: to be capsized by slavers, boarded by pirates is a comparably lucky fate. Less fortunate crews are gone entirely without trace in hours, only floating splinters left to show their fate. Your crew might not be among the lucky: this night, you are woken up by a loud horrid crack and sound of gushing saltwater, shaken like loose pebbles in Sapphire's hold by some unseen calamity and thrown out into the water, when her hull crumples to pieces. You should have drowned. And yet, when your lungs spasm for oxygen and you gulp in water, it sustains you as well as air. Something has preserved your lives. What, you wander, will it demand in return? System: DnD 5e; Setting: Faerûn / Forgotten Realms; Character Level: 1. Payment: 25$ per person. About the Dungeon master: I'm Julia, a Ukrainian TTRPG GM since 2018, GMing online since 2022. Most campaigns have been played in D&D 5e, and several in Vampire: The Masquerade, Changeling: The Lost, and Blades in the Dark. I prefer character-driven narratives with grittier political subplots, but still with a good amount of combat and shenanigans™ Contact me to register. (This saturday at 12 p.m. (UTC+3))

LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
Hello, My name is blu I'm looking for a group to play with in a bleach based campaign and a DM willing to run it Theres a Source book everyone will be able to get onto for free at all times online and I have saved the CS's thats specially made for the source book, all I'm looking for is up to 3 other players who want to try the class/races within the book and a dm willing to build a campaign based around the SB. I will send or put the SB somewhere in the dis server or if you want to peak at it sooner I can send it to you before joining the server. What would I like to play as? A soul reaper based would be preferable over others but also for extra challenge a hollow campagin could be fun if we can fighure out how to do it. why bleach over normal dnd? 1. why not, 2. bc I really like bleach. how long of a campaign do I want? Up to the dm and players but I'd like a longer campaign. what level to start on? id like to start at level 1 to take the steps of what you are gaining within the book and gain more of a understanding of the class or classes in the SB. Finally where can you contact me? Just dm here and ask, I want to know that I'm getting friended and not just randomly get a friend request and ignore it. 1, big thing I don't want is NO GEN AI AT ALL, please if you like using gen AI please don't bother, I don't want to see AI "art". 2, No homo, trans, or any other phobs, or isims, I won't take it and kick you out of the group myself. IF the group works well together I'd like to dm a Campaign of my own with the same group so if you're dming this campaign you can look forward to a campaign after we're done playing this one. Thank you for reading I hope to see someone or  multiple people ready to play. Blu UwU

Grasianil Chronicles[Custom D6 System][Maptool]

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Looking for player interested in custom game system via narrative roleplay and learning the system itself. Grasianil: Custom D6-based system utilizing Maptool primarily, heavily stream-lined to support large, quick battles. Versatility allows vehicles, mechs, and spaceships, utilizing unique mechanics, in-addition to single players. Minimal delays owing to macros within Maptool, utilizing pop-up menus, automatic calculation of damage, debuffs, armor, etc. Highly adaptable, with streamlined rules offering as much complexity as is desired, and based on the setting. Developed by myself and my partner who passed away earlier this year. Supports several original fantasy and sci fi worlds of varying types, from traditional western high fantasy, to detailed low fantasy, from space opera-style sci fi, to more realistic settings. In-addition to original settings not listed here, it has been adapted to: Legend of Zelda Battletech Middle Earth Forgotten Realms Mystara Shadowrun and Cyberpunk Pre-existing settings are not played strictly-canon, but consistency is stressed. The system can cover nearly any theme, so if a setting is not listed here, please inquire-within and I may have something that fits or be able to adapt for you. Medium amount of experience in RPing requested, as well as an open mind to learn a new system. Maptool 1.11.5 needed, Discord used primarily for all text but other programs are an option, Google sheets used for some settings. Time-zone of GM is US Central. RPing otherwise done via text on Discord, but other options open to discussion. Session date and time variable, any listed setting available, suggestions welcome, inquire in DMs to myself for further details. GM preference for folks interested in creating a story, rather than purely for the gaming. One-on-one only, at the moment. No cost. No absolute obligation. Reach out to natalie7995 on Discord, or via message/email for more information. When reaching out, please send a message via Groupfinder or over Discord.

The Star Hoarder's Cache

Previously, on The Star Hoarder's Cache: Fade into the party hurriedly discussing their plan while fleeing a burning Space Freighter "If it's a choice between joining Pirates, the Rebels or the Law... I'm for the Rebels." Cut to an impeccibly dressed businessman leaning on his mahogony desk "A new ship? That's quite the favor, my friends. Luckily I have just the job for you..." Fade up as we look into your character's eyes, focused straight ahead "There's no way, Val! That shot is impossible!"  "It's still the best we have." Hey everyone! I’m Alan, and I GM for a group of lovable misfits online. We've been together around 3 years now, and are getting ready to launch our next grand sci-fi campaign: The Star Hoarder's Cache! If you love deep character development, witty table banter, and adventures where your choices genuinely shape the story, we’d love to meet you! We’re currently looking for 1–2 dedicated roleplayers to round out our crew. The Campaign Hook: Think Guardians of the Galaxy meets Firefly, Mass Effect, and Treasure Island. Expect a scrappy, found-family crew chasing legendary fortunes across uncharted frontiers. The tone balances high-stakes galactic intrigue, sharp comedic banter, and meaningful character arcs. Your past catches up with you, the galaxy reacts dynamically to your decisions, and every crew member has a vital voice in where your ship flies next. We used the Adventure Path 'Murder in Metal City' to onboard us into SF2e, and are ready to tackle a homebrew campaign. About the GM & Table Style The Style: I bring 3 years of GMing experience backed by a long history studying improv at Second City. That means dynamic scenes, distinct NPC personalities, and an adaptive GM approach where player creativity, humor, and bold ideas are rewarded. The Current Crew: Our table consists of two women, and four men. (Including me, the GM) We're looking for another 1-2 players to round out the table, cis-women preferred. Immersion & Focus: To maintain high energy and uninterrupted roleplay during game night, our sessions are recorded and privately uploaded so that only table members have access. This allows me to stay 100% present in the moment while ensuring every player decision, inside joke, and plot thread is captured accurately between sessions without breaking the flow for note-taking. The Atmosphere: We are an inclusive, collaborative, and communicative group. We share the spotlight, support each other's character arcs, and prioritize fun, respectful storytelling above all else. We utilize safety tools like X-Cards and establish clear boundaries/lines & veils ahead of time. If a session is likely to involve heavier depictions of potentially difficult topics, I make a point to remind everyone of the X-Card options and check in with players ahead of time. Campaign Length: Our table enjoys campaigns around 12 sessions long. We've run four of them so far using PF2e. I try to focus on an overarching narrative while weaving in the backstories and goals of the party members. Some backstory plots get resolved along with the main campaign; while others are given clues and breadcrumbs into our next campaign. Logistics & Requirements System: Starfinder 2e / Pathfinder 2e We started as a PF2e group, and after 3 years; are trying out SF2e. The two systems are practically the same, except for minor tweaks Platform: Foundry VTT for gameplay, Discord for out-of-character crew banter. Schedule: Twice per month, running on a weekday evening (Mon, Tue, Wed, or Thu based on group consensus), 6:30 PM – ~11:00 PM CST. Tech: Clear working microphone, reliable internet, and a PC/browser capable of running Foundry VTT smoothly. Webcam use is encouraged, but optional. Age: 21+ I aim to run a PG-13/Sometimes 'R' rated table. We focus on keeping things friendly, with strictly zero-tolerance for bigotry or toxic behavior. How to Apply: If you want to join our crew, send me a direct message with brief answers to the following: Experience: What is your background with Pathfinder 2e, Starfinder 2e or tabletop RPGs? (Beginners to the system are welcome!) Playstyle: What draws you to TTRPG's; Combat/Strategy, Improv/Character development or creating a Shared-Storyline? Table Dynamic: What energy do you hope to bring to the table in our story-driven campaign? Applications will remain open until we find the right fit, followed by a brief, casual chat on Discord to make sure we're all on the same page before jumping in. (We'll go over table expectations, a short tutorial for using FoundryVTT, any Off-Limit topics, etc.) Looking forward to welcoming you to our table!

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
A year ago, you all escaped from a terrible city. The Prince was a blood thirsty tyrant, who thrived on melodrama and revenge. He believed he was the world’s greatest lover, the world’s greatest politician, the world’s greatest musician, the world’s greatest everything. Anyone who dared to even think of questioning him was thrown to his war dogs: a group of incredibly dangerous vampires who followed his orders without question. Sick of the Camarilla, you ran to the nearest Anarch city. Here, you thought you found a place of safety, but the Baron turned out to be just another power-hungry beast. His ambitions and appetites endangered the safety and reputation of the city. You decided that if the Anarchs refused to live up to their values, you’d enforce them for them. Your coterie removed the Baron from power. You’ve created a power vacuum in the name of justice. Now, you must fill it while contending with the worst Masquerade breach the city has ever seen. To learn more and join the game, check it out on StartPlaying!

DND 5e 2014 rules - Roll 20 - Free

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
I need 3 more players for a DND Im going to run on Sundays at 8:30pm (NZDT or GMT+13) The game will be set in my own homebrew world. We will be using 5e 2014 rules with some optional house rules. I will be using roll 20 for maps, and Discord for voice (i have a private server). My world is set on a different plane of existence parallel to the mortal plane, all sentient inhabitants are anthropomorphic humanoids each based on a different creature. I have my own pantheon and world history, each race has its own lore. There are some things still to be balanced so don't expect perfection. The campaign will be from level 1-5ish but can continue into a long term game if people are happy to. ----------Please no things like trying to bang every NPC you meet and murder hobo's.---------- About me: I will not pull my punches in combat or in consequences for your actions. I will play each NPC and monster to what it is designed to be. Example - if an assassin is targeting your party and you go down he will attack your unconscious body and finish you off. Example 2 - You are rude or offend a noble or royalty, they will seek to punish you sometimes immediately sometimes subtly it depends. Example 3 - You try to rip of a merchant or shopkeeper, they will then warn others of your actions and purposefully raise their prices or refuse service to you until recompense is made. What i expect: Just be respectful to other players and respect the DM's ruling. Be kind lets have fun. Try to keep the swearing down if possible. Try to share the limelight and include others.

New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Metrópole, Amazonia. 2074. A megacity sprawling between Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro with an estimated population of 250 million. Metahumans share the streets with shape shifters and other sapients. The great dragon Hualpa once kept careful watch over this city. However, after his disastrous war against Aztlan, he has sequestered himself. Many feel that his influence is slipping. You are a group of up-and-coming private investigators. A woman has scraped together her savings to hire you to investigate her sister's murder. As the layers of this mystery get pulled back, you will rub elbows and butt heads with many of the factions and personalities in this city. Can you pull Metrópole’s secrets from its gaping maw, or will it swallow you whole? -- *This Shadowrun game presents a more streamlined version of the 4e rules to retain all the tactics, equipment, and buckets of dice that you've come to love. But at the same time, it's leaner and faster (and also less broken). If you wish to know more, the full rules are available here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yyMJ9Xmd7rTAlt_0VMhCrAM1RgVQj6JiHhzABUqLEaE/edit?usp=sharing Rules will be taught, though some SR experience is a plus. You will make your own characters using the Rookie baseline, though you will have plenty of character advancement opportunities as the game progresses. Serpents Skull Book 1 5E Conversion

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
I'll be running a standalone 5E conversion of book 1 of Pathfinders Serpent's Skull campaign and am looking for 1 more player to join the campaign. Most of us are in our thirties and I'm an experienced DM with 15+ years behind me. You'll be building a 5E character from Pathfinder World lore, locations, & deities, so knowledge of the Pathfinder setting is preferred, but anyone interested in learning about and eager to throw themselves into a jungle setting will be equally considered. Who this game is for: - Serious and passionate players who can commit to the full campaign length (roughly 15-20 sessions) - Reliable players who will turn up every session: This is a campaign which requires everyone to be present, so any players unable to attend means the campaign will need to be put on hold until the next session. If you can't make the odd session, please just give me as much notice as possible in advance, to not let myself and the rest of the players down. Emergencies happen, so I understand there may be times where this isn't possible. - High effort roleplayers with fun and interesting character concepts. We'll be playing Saturdays from 12pm GMT fortnightly. To build a character for this adventure, you'll need to read the Serpent's Skull Player's Guide, and while it doesn't list every Race, Class and Archetype, it'll give you a really good feel for the adventure, which starts on a Merchant Vessel headed for the Mwangi Expanse. Character concepts should mostly favour adventurers, explorers, pirates & swashbuckler's. Several of the starting ports are in the Shackles - the pirate region of Golarion, though you could have boarded in Varisia or any other place listed in the player's guide. This is a unique opportunity to create concepts you wouldn't normally have the chance to play, as I'll be creating custom subclasses based on your concepts. Once you've read the players guide and have a few ideas in mind, please fill in this form. It tells you everything else you'll need to know. I'm looking to start either the 7th November or the 21st, depending on how quickly we can build your character together. If this sounds good to you, I'm looking forward to seeing your submissions and hope to see you in my game!

You are a couple of seasoned travelers about to be dragged into something a lot more than you bargained for. This is a tale of emotion, terror, and tragedy; but also one of heroism, something the people of Neverwinter desperately need as they struggle against a serial killer. This short adventure goes from levels 4 - 6 for a party of 3 – 5 players. The game is designed to run anywhere between 4 – 8 sessions and focuses on mystery, horror, a decent amount of combat, and thrilling and dramatic roleplay! Session 0 is free, and we focus on expectations there, so everyone knows what they’re getting into.  Further Details and how to join here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmuss8jfq01dkl9043evcktv7?ref=cl364he035phabopk9zps3nif I have a few other games listed on my profile if this doesn't work; you can check that, and more information about me and my style here: https://startplaying.games/gm/627fe21745eac1ca56eb8f72

Female DM with 6+ years experience looking for 1 more player who loves to roleplay, delve deep into lore and backstories, and get a kick out of scheming, plotting and exploiting a homebrew open world in a long term weekly DND campaign. In a world where corporations vie over powerful resources, the gods have fallen silent and every choice has consequences - the party has travelled to the land of South Rhodesia where dragons rule in peace. It's the end of the year, the 50th anniversary of Godfall and day of the dead, a festival has taken over the streets of the dragon fort and everyone is ready to celebrate. While we have already begun the adventure, it is not too late to join! We have a barbarian, a monk, a necromancer, a warlock, and a druid who have come together to unravel the mysteries of the crystals which cover this world and save people from the machinations of the mega-corporations.  We are seeking 1 more player to join the party long term, there is still much of the story to unravel. If you enjoy delving deep into lore, roleplaying with the party and with NPCs and exploring the world around you - then this is the group for you. A replacement rail service catapulted our party into the chaos of Fracture, they've fought off train robbers only to become train robbers themselves. In doing so, they discovered a secret slave trade that they are attempting to bring down, whilst working against the corruption of the corporations and trying to (mostly) be the good guys (I think). Amongst the dangers of corporate research, deals with devils and the fury of freedom fighters, they have uncovered something else, something so much deeper and more deadly than the problems on the surface of Heleth - the truth about crystals. As the party seek out answers from silent gods, they wonder just how deep this rabbit hole goes and where on Heleth it might lead them. New players will be offered a free session 0 which will include a catch up of the story so far and discussion as to how their character will integrate into the party. $20/session Thursdays 7:00pm-10:30pm BST 2014 rules with a few homebrew ones thrown in the mix, open to exceptions and edits. Level 9 Any class or species (except Spelljammer), open to homebrew requests. All backstories will be integrated into the world and story, with each character getting a chance to explore them. So, if magical storms, corrupt corporations, and crystal super weapons sounds like your kind of thing - message me if you want to know more or check out the game listing here.
