Description

Welcome to the Somnium Shard. A sundered paradise; knowledge, gods and power's all known throughout the land, its history coveted by lost tomes, cosmic knowledge and crazed minds. With earliest carvings detailing a different world that may have been the Shard's muse, the inspiration for reality. However not all could be replaced, and the world's panorama was in its own natural discourse, with the residents at home. With that overly grand intro done welcome to my personal world, a multi-year labour of love that I'm still working on with every session, a sandbox type world for players to discover, learn about and influence as they desire. Designed as an open campaign for players to fit into as they wish, follow the threads of their backstory, or start a questline that leads to them swearing loyalty to a kingdom. Whatever it is you feel you want to do in a fantasy world I'll accommodate it as well as I can. However do not think that this means everything is free, the Somnium Shard is still a living and breathing world, thievery, murder and the sort will have consequences, as will trying to steal that magical artifact. You'll have to contend with mages scrying on you, rangers tracking you and bounty hunters after you if you upset the wrong people. So come and join the adventure, see where your characters can take you, how they can evolve and develop in this world with a DM that can handle whatever you feel like throwing at him. The City of Intrica

West Marches / Living World
One world and a big pool of players, but no fixed party - whoever signs up that week is who plays.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
The city of Intrica lies between Poland and Germany; it was founded over 500 years ago and stands tall today. However, it has not stopped suffering its trials and tribulations. Its current one is a black hole blotting out the sun over the city. The black hole, however, is not just a black hole; it is a pocket dimension known as "The Great Selection", a Battle Royale created by an adversary of the city known as "The Silent". Within this grand Battle Royale, the winner would exit with all the powers of the other participants, meaning that if any of the very malicious beings inside of it were to win, it would spell ruin for not just Intrica, but maybe even the entirety of Europe. It is up to the agents of the Arcane Enforcement & Global Intelligence Service, aka A.E.G.I.S., to break into this battle royale and turn the odds in favor of the participants who are friendly to this world. After all, you can move a mountain if you do it bit by bit.

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
The holy city of  Elturel has disappeared from  the Forgotten Realms and descended into Avernus, the first layer of  the Nine Hells. This event came about as the re    sult of  an infernal bargain between the archdevil Zariel , who rules Avernus, and the treacherous High Overseer of  Elturel, Thavius Kreeg. Zariel is capturing cities and using their citizens as fodder in the ongoing conflict be tween demons and devils known as the Blood War. Next on Zariel's list of  cities is Elturel's neighbor, Baldur's Gate. The characters can be the heroes who descend into Avernus, save Elturel from certain destruction, and prevent a similar  fate from befalling Baldur's Gate. Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
All week, a group decides on day & time. Most people will probably play between 16:00 – 21:00 (GMT+0) Played in Discord voice chat A lot of people wanted to play, but later they went passive/ignore mode. Please, message only if you are going to play, don't make the other players wait Discord nickname: weebseatshit *PREMISE* You are dragged into a dangerous encounter together with other unlucky ones. Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's a Forgotten Realms based, custom (homebrew) campaign with an emphasis on story, characters & adventures, *WITHOUT LEVELS & STATS. "Theatre of the Mind" playstyle (means no VTT). Casual, beginner friendly Every player can has his own, custom spells/abilities. Custom spells should be created within reason. Imagine that those spells are used against you. A player has up to 5 spells from the start A player should choose a class that is the closest to his preference & then create spells/abilities. If a player can't, i'll help I'd like every player to be equally powerful Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) These classes aren't allowed: Artificer, Barbarian, Monk, Psion d20 roll results: Dungeon Master sets a number in an RNG & decides what success number a player should roll Spells don't need mana or d20 roll to be cast, they only cooldown, but if a player is gonna spam spells, i'll Elfen Lied him or put some shit like Leo Bonhart from Witcher that will equalize/balance him *COMBAT* When combat starts, characters & their enemies roll for initiative to decide who goes first (the one with the biggest number, then decreasing or as Dungeon Master decides) If it's a tie result, reroll To choose a target for an enemy, Dungeon Master sets a number in an RNG To attack, character & other character(s) roll d20. If attacker's number is bigger, he deals damage. If attacker's number is less, a defending character dodges. A defending character can perform a counterattack, but if he fails, he receives damage To defeat (wound) a character: • Character must receive damage a certain amount of times • Character does it with any possible way (using environment, persuasion) I'll describe locations, looks, with little to no details. So, when a player is for example in a forest, search for "D&D forest artstation" or "forest artstation" & ambient You can check The Witcher 1 video game. It's my main inspiration when it comes to background (buildings, outdoors, interior design, clothes, general looks, basically all) Just like with the books, i'd prefer that player imagined his own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore)
