Fight For Freedom! | Hellbreakers, Pathfinder 2e

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Session time: 6 pm EST on Thursdays Join the fight for freedom against Chelaxian oppression! Fight Devils and Hellknights to free Isger from the forces of Hell! Players will join the Hellbreakers League, taking part in operations to drive the Hell-aligned forces out of Cheliax and end their occupation of the country. You will take on Cheliaxian strongholds, fight Hellknights and devils, and work to stoke the fires of revolution throughout Isger. You will be sent on missions behind enemy lines, striking at important targets, disrupting supply lines, rescuing prisoners, and helping local communities resist the forces of Hell. Every victory, no matter how small, will help weaken the occupation and inspire others to join the rebellion. This campaign will run from levels 1 to 10, with players starting out as new revolutionaries within the Hellbreakers League and rising through the ranks as they take the fight directly to the forces of Hell. As your reputation grows, so too will the importance of your missions, eventually placing the fate of the rebellion in your hands. Variant Rules used: Ancestral paragon Gradual ability boost Free archetype Characters will start with 3 hero points at start of each session Our DM uses StartPlaying, for those interested feel free to reach out and I can provide a link to the page. Myself and the other two players get along pretty well despite not having met before this. We're open to continuing this adventure into another AP like Hell's Destiny which runs from 10-20 for anyone looking for a more long-term campaign. We prefer consistent people, though we understand life can make that a bit of a struggle at times.

Dungeons in the Mist

Looking to start up a "monthly" game of D&D 5e 2014, Legend in the Mist, City of Mist, Savage Worlds, Genesys, or another system in some genre we agree on or any other system that might be fun to try. Getting my current group is like herding cats so I play far too infrequently so I'd like a bit more consistency. I'm interested in running a Call of Cthulhu style game using the City of Mist rulebook. I want a relaxed beer and pretzels game primarily centered around narrative game play peppered with cinematic action. Preferable game times are Saturdays from noon until quitting time, or Sunday noon until 6ish. Location might by in a garage, or a local game store that's open until 10pm.

**Edge of the Empire:** Edge of the Empire is an excellent TTRPG which uses a unique dice system to help aid in the story telling. It is part of the larger Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars RPG, a collection of 3 interchangeable and mixable systems, which include Age of Rebellion, Edge of the Empire and Force and Destiny. Set after the Battle of Yavin, at the height of the Galactic Civil War, Edge of the Empire focuses on the outlaws at the outskirts of the “civilized” Galactic Empire. Smugglers, Bounty Hunters, Thieves, Assassins, Frontier Doctors, Settlers and Local Politicians all seek to carve out a life for themselves at the furthest reaches of the galaxy. However even as the Rebel Alliance fights their uphill battle against the Empire, the Empire’s reach continues to grow. Will you learn to coexist with the Empire or hide from them? Perhaps even aid the growing Rebellion? Your group will have to chart the best path forward themselves! Mondays 8:00pm Eastern **Note in Regards to a Fresh Start:** As this has been a long term campaign so far, with a good amount of story/history for the characters, and a high experience level, we understand it may be offputting for potential new players. Because of that, we wish to make it clear that our priority is filling out the party with a group that has good chemistry and shared goals. To facilitate that, both the players and I are willing to start completely fresh, even if we love the narrative we have crafted so far. We had an idea for a new campaign that everyone likes although we are also willing to consider other options. The potential new campaign would start during the dying days of the Clone Wars. The party would be made up of Clone Troopers, Non-Clone Soldiers, perhaps a Jedi Padawan or two, and any other type of character who would be working closely with such a group. The idea is to have a few missions/arcs during those days of the Clone Wars, culminating in Order 66. Then we would have a time skip of about 3-5 years to the early days of the Empire where the players would describe/narrate what their characters have been up to from Order 66 to the current times. They will reunite and begin to work together to carve out a living under the new regime, whether that be by joining in early rebel activity, or drifting to the underworld on the outskirts of the Empire. Any Jedi Padawan characters would lose their lightsabers in this time skip, and have it be a long term goal to build/reacquire one if they wish. The time skip would also include a small XP bonus. Either way, we look forward to meeting some new players, and figuring out what kind of campaign we wish to play together! **The Campaign So Far** This is a long term campaign with no planned end. The group has played through the introductory adventures "Escape from Mos Shuuta" followed by "Long Arm of the Hutt", then “The Jewel of Yavin". They have most recently finished "Beyond the Rim”, one of the bigger adventures for the system. In between major adventures they have hunted bounties, raced swoop bikes and smuggled the Corellian Shuffle. The immediate future is wide open, with no plans for any major adventures for a while, as we focus on the consequences of the character’s actions throughout the campaign and deal with aspects of their backstories. The party includes Cashar Brut who is a Falleen Smuggler/Pilot and Ruug the Shistavanen Bounty Hunter. ## The Game: -New Players are welcomed and will be assisted, whether you are new to Roll20 or the Star Wars RPG! -Although the Star Wars RPG uses proprietary dice, its mechanics are often quite intuitive. Our group has been playing since Apr. 2025, and at this point we feel comfortable enough to bring in and teach new players. **No experience required!** -Despite being a major fan of battlemaps and tactical combat in other systems, I often find that Theater of the Mind works exceptionally well with the Star Wars RPG. Battlemaps will still show up for some more involved combats, but many can be resolved in a short amount of the time with no visual aids necessary. -New characters will start at the same experience level as the party. Star Wars RPG has a very interesting character building system that does not rely on levels, but purchasing skills and talents with accumulated XP, with easy access to different character classes to branch out! Currently at 805 earned XP. -We will have a split Session 0/New Player introduction session, to help new players learn the game and help them fit in with the party. This session will be free. -Sessions will last 3 hours. -Discord for Voice Chat. ## Your DM: -I started with TTRPGs by running 5th Edition D&D. In 2019, I transitioned into running paid games as a full time job, and have been running 3-5 games a week since. I started running the Star Wars RPG in Apr. 2025 as previously mentioned. -Available nearly 24/7, excluding my sleep hours. Always willing to answer questions. -Good Connection/Headset/Microphone. ## What is expected of you? -Respect is a must and I will not tolerate player conflicts, PVP, or any type of disrespectful behavior towards the other players. No graphic sexual content. Players who violate this Social Contract will be removed with no refund. -Be on time, as this is basic respect for myself and the others. Missing a session will be allowed with prior notice, with no charge. Sessions will still go forward as long as we have 3 players and no major plot moments. Players who have issues with attendance will be removed with no refund. -Have a reasonable quality microphone (be intelligible), Discord and use push to talk. (I can assist you in setting this up). ## Pay to Play: -20$ Per Player Per Session (Excluding Session 0), paid via Paypal in advance. **Session 0 is free. Please reach out via DM to join or with any questions**

**Quest for the Frozen Flame:** In the brutal tundra of the Realm of the Mammoth Lords, only the hardiest folk have what it takes to withstand unsparing weather, track down big game, and fight back hostile followings. The Broken Tusk following has survived another winter, but a new year just began, and signs of danger foretell a year unlike any before. Unless their newest party of scouts can secure a safe route through the wilds, saber-toothed beasts, warmongering rivals, and the ever-looming possibility of natural disaster all threaten to end an ancient people’s legacy. Will the Broken Tusks succumb to the elements and surrender to their rivals? Or will you guide your following to glory and reclaim a stolen birthright? ## The Game: -We will hold a Session 0 to get to know each other, and work on character creation/party formation. **Session 0 will be free**. -New Players are welcomed and will be assisted, whether you are new to Foundry or Pathfinder 2e! -“In this campaign for Pathfinder Second Edition, you’ll lead your fellow hunter-gatherers across primordial lands, face off against dinosaurs and megafauna, and unearth the legendary past of your ancient people.” -Quest for the Frozen Flame Player's Guide -Quest for the Frozen Flame is a stone-age adventure with a more structured 1st and 3rd act and a hex-crawl heavy second act. It has some flaws as written, mainly due to scarcity of loot which I will be directly adressing. -The unique setting/atmosphere lends itself to roleplaying and challenges not normally seen in your typical medievel high-fantasy, which should be a nice break for those with standard setting burnout. -**The Adventure will take you from level 1 to 11.** -I consider myself skilled at running interesting/challenging combat. I will customize the difficulty of the combat based on the party’s wishes/composition. -Sessions will last around 3 hours. -Discord for Voice Chat. -The Foundry Module for this adventure will be used. ## Your DM: -7 Year’s Experience Running DND 5th Edition. 5 years as a professional DM. Currently Run: 5e, PF2e, SF2e, Star Wars FFG. -Available nearly 24/7, excluding my sleep hours. Always willing to answer questions. ## What is expected of you? -Respect is a must and I will not tolerate player conflicts, PVP, or any type of disrespectful behavior towards the other players. Sign up here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmtw06zhx000mlc0497un9ogg London, October 2012. Halloween is less than a week away. The city above is alive with autumn rain, crowded streets, late-night celebrations, and mortals playing at monsters. Beneath it lies another London: forgotten tunnels, ancient secrets, old blood, and predators who have survived for centuries. You awaken after more than sixty years of torpor with only fragments of the person you used to be. You know what you are. You remember the Hunger. You remember how to use the Blood. But whole pieces of your history are simply gone. Someone has brought you back for a reason. Before your long sleep, you belonged to something ancient. Now relics from that forgotten life are scattered across London, and recovering them may be the only way to understand what happened to you. With each discovery, pieces of the past begin returning—but memory is not always the same thing as truth.

The Star Hoarder's Cache

Hey everyone! I’m Alan, and I GM for a group of lovable misfits online. We've been together around 3 years now, and are getting ready to launch our next grand sci-fi campaign: The Star Hoarder's Cache! If you love deep character development, witty table banter, and adventures where your choices genuinely shape the story, we’d love to meet you! We’re currently looking for 1–2 dedicated roleplayers to round out our crew. The Campaign Hook: Think Guardians of the Galaxy meets Firefly, Mass Effect, and Treasure Island. Expect a scrappy, found-family crew chasing legendary fortunes across uncharted frontiers. The tone balances high-stakes galactic intrigue, sharp comedic banter, and meaningful character arcs. Your past catches up with you, the galaxy reacts dynamically to your decisions, and every crew member has a vital voice in where your ship flies next. We used the Adventure Path 'Murder in Metal City' to onboard us into SF2e, and are ready to tackle a homebrew campaign. About the GM & Table Style The Style: I bring 3 years of GMing experience backed by a long history studying improv at Second City. That means dynamic scenes, distinct NPC personalities, and an adaptive GM approach where player creativity, humor, and bold ideas are rewarded. The Current Crew: Our table consists of two women, and three men. (Including me, the GM) We're looking for another 1-2 players to round out the table. Immersion & Focus: To maintain high energy and uninterrupted roleplay during game night, our sessions are recorded and privately uploaded so that only table members have access. This allows me to stay 100% present in the moment while ensuring every player decision, inside joke, and plot thread is captured accurately between sessions without breaking the flow for note-taking. The Atmosphere: We are an inclusive, collaborative, and communicative group. We share the spotlight, support each other's character arcs, and prioritize fun, respectful storytelling above all else. We utilize safety tools like X-Cards and establish clear boundaries/lines & veils ahead of time. If a session is likely to involve heavier depictions of potentially difficult topics, I make a point to remind everyone of the X-Card options and check in with players ahead of time. Campaign Length: Our table enjoys campaigns around 12 sessions long. We've run four of them so far using PF2e. I try to focus on an overarching narrative while weaving in the backstories and goals of the party members. Some backstory plots get resolved along with the main campaign; while others are given clues and breadcrumbs into our next campaign. Logistics & Requirements System: Starfinder 2e / Pathfinder 2e We started as a PF2e group, and after 3 years; are trying out SF2e. The two systems are practically the same, except for minor tweaks Platform: Foundry VTT for gameplay, Discord for out-of-character crew banter. Schedule: Twice per month, running on a weekday evening (Mon, Tue, Wed, or Thu based on group consensus), 6:30 PM – ~11:00 PM CST. Tech: Clear working microphone, reliable internet, and a PC/browser capable of running Foundry VTT smoothly. Webcam use is encouraged, but optional. Age: 21+ I aim to run a PG-13/Sometimes 'R' rated table. We focus on keeping things friendly, with strictly zero-tolerance for bigotry or toxic behavior. How to Apply If you want to join our crew, send me a direct message with brief answers to the following: Experience: What is your background with Pathfinder 2e, Starfinder 2e or tabletop RPGs? (Beginners to the system are welcome!) Playstyle: What draws you to TTRPG's; Combat/Strategy, Improv/Character development or creating a Shared-Storyline? Crew Pitch: Give a 2–3 sentence concept of a character you’d be excited to play. What motivates them? Table Dynamic: What energy do you hope to bring to the table in our story-driven campaign? Applications will remain open until we find the right fit, followed by a brief, casual chat on Discord to make sure we're all on the same page before jumping in with Session 1. (We'll go over table expectations, a short tutorial for using FoundryVTT, any Off-Limit topics, etc.) Looking forward to welcoming you to our table!

Festenia (ongoing)

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
Hi there, Festenia is a ongoing campaign set in my personal custom setting of the same name (nothing super fancy) that is build by myself and in collaboration with the players, we are currently in session number 5 i believe, and had one player leaving in the past due to timetable constraints (he might come back later) currently the group is made up of a rouge, a cleric and a fighter, I wanted to add a fourth party member but one of the people that planned on joining changed his mind so we are once again looking for a fourth person. Sessions are weekly on Saturday 7pm cet, and last for 3 to 3 and a half hours. This scheduling is airtight so if you can't make it then we might not be the group for you.  Actually joining the main campaign would only be possible from September 26th although participation in a one shot is possible earlier (to perhaps check out my style of dming), about me I am a first time dm but I believe I have found myself in the role quite nicely. The players are all adults and prefer to only play with people that are of age, we are all in the range of 19-23.  Enough organizational stuff now a couple words about the Setting and world:  Festenia is made up of 8 diverse countries with two of them, The trade fedaration and the Dristin empire currently at war.  The other nations now have to decide on wich side they want to position themselves or if they want to follow their own paths and so do the heros on their journey. (More setting infos I will make available to those that are interested, for convenience. Any setting questions can also be discussed upon further interest) The campaign itself is generally pretty open ended and pretty light hearted with some darker moments, I also always try to design combat dynamic if possible.  We hope that you might Join us!

Chronicles of Alver - Viking - one player needed

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
TL;DR [One Player Needed - All Welcomed] [homebrew - Viking inspired] [Thursdays 21:30 GMT +2 ] We have one slot available for a 4-player party. You can read below everything about the campaign, its settings, etc, and I can share a lot more lore with whoever gets to the Discord "face-to-face" interview :) Since the campaign launched on YouTube, you can also watch recent episodes to get a sense of the current party vibe and overall style. We keep things balanced, so there are episodes with a lot of fighting and episodes with mostly role-play. Mind - We are all experienced players/DMs but amateurs when it comes to "acting", so don't expect great acting, technical know-how, or CR level game ;) You can find it on YouTube under the name: The Chronicles of Alver - https://www.youtube.com/@ChroniclesofAlver I will add that I'm looking for people with the ability to take charge and initiate role play and conversations - I want you to feel like you're in the world and try your best to "live" in it :) Lastly, everyone is welcome to try - I don't care about your race, sexual orientation, or favorite blanket as a child. Be kind and friendly to the rest of the party, and you'll fit right in :) Click the link to apply: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScIeo4QAfbIuDVafQxzwxbnO4WD9GxjzJyPEBvs4x5R9SeiWg/viewform?usp=header ******************* Hey everyone! This post will be long as I want to give you a lot of information, so bear with me :) Index: About me About the campaign About the world Closing words About me: I'm an experienced DM (over 9 years). I would like to have five players for the campaign. You don't need to be a veteran, but I prefer some experience. The campaign is my homebrew world, which I created for a fantasy book I'm writing (and have been for several long years). I'm the head of a creative studio in an AAA-related gaming company. I'm a fantasy lover, a medieval history buff, and a martial artist, so if it has capes, I'm in! I'm a married father of three with a dog (so technically four as she's very much a daughter to me). I generally love dad jokes and word puns. I always mean my puns! About the campaign: We'll be using 5e with many homebrew elements. All the races and lore are homebrew, but for ease of use, they will all be based on edited versions of "normal" races (and all will be added to D&D Beyond). The party is currently at level 7. This will strike a balance between action and role-play. You will have a lot of weight on the story and direction. Everything goes - as long as it's realistic within the logic and magic of the world. Please let me know what you'd like to try, and we'll see how to make it happen. Death is final. Mostly. If your character dies, it'll be rare to bring them back. But you can always roll a new character. My goal is for you to enjoy the game and story. I don't want to kill your characters. I aim to provide you with a challenge, an engaging story, and a fun and immersive experience. Weekly sessions are held on Thursdays, most often (unless too many people are unable to join, in which case we'll try to find an alternative day for that week). Sessions start at 21:30 +3 GMT (18:30 UTC) and are usually two and a half hours long. We're doing video chat via the Riverside website (also for recording). I believe seeing our faces and expressions helps connect us, so I want people who are not camera-shy. No one cares how you look, what your race or color is, or whatever - be yourself (and your character), and that's great! D&D Beyond + Foundry for combat + Discord (for text chats). YouTube/Podcast - I record our sessions and post them on the campaign's YouTube channel, and may also stream them live later. I'm not delusional in thinking we'll be big or famous, but maybe some people will find our game fun to watch and benefit from it. So you need to be ok with it. Before we dive into lore and character creation, I'll ask you to sign a release form to allow me to upload videos featuring you from our sessions (all the other players have signed this form - it is to protect both you and me in the future). We speak English. I'm not a native speaker, and I don't do accents very well. But I do have excellent English. The sessions will be in English. You need to be able to speak it well. Accents are fine :) Please do not include IRL politics or agendas during sessions - These motifs are ok and might be present if they are relevant to what's going on in the session (i.e, Slavery or the Spanish Inquisition if we face a similar situation - you can use philosophical ideas obviously) - But try not to insert IRL events happening now or in recent years if possible. Age groups - around 30 or above, please Ensure you schedule a time for the session. This is important, as we've had people cancel frequently, leading to canceled sessions that significantly hinder story progression and immersion. Unforeseen shit can happen, of course, but please, if you apply, make sure you can commit to being available for the sessions each week. About the world: We'll be playing in a world called Alver on the continent of Kronland. This is a heavily Nordic-inspired world. Imagine what the late Middle Ages and Renaissance in Europe would have looked and felt like if the Vikings had become the dominant influence rather than Christianity. At the same time, there would still be distinct kingdoms with their own cultures, fashions, and styles. Norse mythology is deeply ingrained in the world.  The lore is inspired by Nordic mythology, but it is NOT Nordic mythology. It's a full-on pantheon and history I created. Some stuff will align and match, but much will not.  The continent is vast, and thus, the distance between cities, villages, and civilizations is such that the world varies greatly, from areas with rare magic and supernatural elements to cosmopolitan cities with mixed races, magic, and wonder. The game is designed to strike a balance between drama, grim humor, and epic adventure. It's not just grimdark or silly - it'll be a mix of all. You'll start small in scope, but the story is meant to go epic by the end.  There are five playable races (with some having sub-races), which I'll share the details of later, but these are the closest "D&D" races to them in racial traits: Menskr: Humans + Vel (homebrew variant human - with some innate self-magical potential) Kettir: Homebrew Tabaxi Hedlinari: Homebrew mix between Dwarfs/Gnomes/Halfings Graari: Homebrew Goliath (with horns! lol) Mal-Siva: Homebrew Aasimar (The only race that can use "real" magic classes like Wizards or Warlocks in my world) Closing words: That's it. If you read all the way here, my respect! I hope we can have a fun, friendly group to play with, grow together, and have emotional support when needed (lol). Feel free to ask me any questions you might have!

Campfire embers are the last thing you remember. Whether you were traveling alone or guarding a merchant caravan, the wilderness suddenly went dead silent. RIFTS Farblos

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
It is the post apocalyptic future of the world of RIFTS.  “300 years in the future, our shattered Earth is recovering from the Great Cataclysm.  An event that wiped out human civilization, brought about the return of magic and has Made Earth into something both familiar and alien.  Humans transform and augment their bodies with bionics, robot exoskeletons, psionic-inducing Brian implants, chemicals, and magic to survive.” “Tears in space and time — the Rifts — are doorways to anywhere.  Open one and step through it to travel anywhere on the planet in a matter of seconds.  Aliens and supernatural beings use them to travel across the Megaverse to arrive on Earth.  You are one of the champions, the heroes of mankind, or an explorer or truth-seeker who braves the savage wilderness and dares to face the demons, dragons, aliens, and weird creatures fro the Rifts.” Keven  Siembieda Hi, I am looking for players, new or experienced to play a campaign of Rifts in post-apocalypse Europe’s New German Republic, Gargoyle Empire, and surrounding area.  Ideally, 4-6 players would be great. I propose weekly Sunday, voice games starting at 4pm Pacific Time Zone (GMT -7, currently).  If the party wishes to begin earlier or later, I am a little bit flexible. We’ll begin with a session 0, to discuss the type of campaign we’d like to explore and create characters.  This is the original game that is similar to previous D20 systems, that was created in the early 90’s.  (This is not the Savage Worlds Version.)  I will be using the RIFTS Ultimate Edition and particular books, which will limit the available character classes.  Please read the listing for more information, feel free to post a question, or dm me. Welcome, travelers and adventures! We are searching for those who have been held against their will and done things they wish they hadn't for the hierarchy. We are searching for all those willing to begin the process and aid in any way you can. I can't give many specific plot details yet as we are looking to surprise our enemies and catch them off guard following their demise. We are an 18+ only group playing through discord using the rules from D&D 5e and 5.5e with good leniency with homebrew. We, as the DMs, like giving out powerful items, but power only comes from those willing to take risk for it. What will you do for power?  We tend to run small quests to enable our players to get better gear, take risks, and develop their characters. Everything you do will guide the story/campaign, even when adventuring in a non-essential quest. Team collaboration will be essential for your survival and the survival of others. We invite those who live in the US timezones and near (i.e. those in Canadian timezones outside of US are welcome) it helps with scheduling and reducing conflicts within our time. Unfortunately for those in other continents, like those in Europe, we are not partial to the time difference. This is an 18+ group and there are dark themes that can be triggering for certain people.  We hope to see you there and can't wait to begin adventuring!  DM ME FOR SERVER LINK

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
No politics of any kind: right, left, sexuality, real world religions, excessive feminism/whatever etc not allowed, if you have a need to make a fuss about that, you will be kicked out. It's perfectly fine to have those views, but don't bring them to the game (this is meant to be fun, social, intellectually challenging). If you have major psych problems that get in the way of simple social interaction (explosive outbursts etc) don't contact me. I do ask for telephone number just in case of you not showing up to game and you didn't tell me otherwise. Emergency stuff, like if you get sick or something. I do care about my players! 1 Give me warning 24 hours before the game if you are gonna cancel. I need the time to tell the others and cancel the game if I don't have enough people to play. This is non negotiable! 2 Play well with others. If you are too disruptive, I will boot you after several warnings. 3 Take a different role each new campaign. Try new things! 4 You have to show up to play 75% of the time. If you cancel too many times, there's no point to having you in the group. 5 Sometimes you will be required to take a role you don't really want because the rest of the group made their picks already, this is meant to help the group have versatility. If this happens, the next campaign I will make sure you get first pick as to your role/class. 6 If you have to make sacrifices for the group, like blowing feats on item crafting etc, I will try to send good things your way. Teamwork is important. I have been GMing since 1997 or so, cut my gaming teeth on AD&D first ed. I go above and beyond for my players. I am very adept at teaching, btw. This campaign is on Mondays at 6pm Central time Discord video chat, but we could change time/day if the other players are willing and able. Set in Chicago, I've added abilities to the NPCs to support their discipline powers, and set the whole timeline from Chicago 1 to 2 and beyond more gradually, changed who lives. Note that I have changed some of the clans a bit, like switched Gangrel and City Gangrel, turned certain Brujah into True Brujah, a Ventrue into a Nosferatu, that sort of thing. Vampire has characters that are difficult to create if you don't know how the numbers and discipline powers work (you distribute dots, there are no classes, so you need to make the character with my help so that you get the most potency possible for what you tell me you want to do). However the game play dice mechanics/rules are easy as heck. The hard part is that it demands more forethought to play, because there's a lot of deceptive NPCs, including your own. It is oddly more ethical/moral than medieval fantasy games by far, even though you don't play a hero normally, and even though you're a vampire feeding on humans and aren't human yourself. It's darker I suppose, lots of intrigue and figuring out what is really going on. Kinda like watching Babylon 5 or Dune, you have to take notes to recall everything that could be vital later. A LOT less combat than medieval fantasy games! It's rare, but nasty when it does occur. Maturity is advised. Note that I broke my campaign down in a timeline, it can be altered yes by PC actions, even down to the year and month.  VERY DETAILED homebrew campaign that can be changed given PC choices. RIght now they are in late 1990, you will get the PC's average xp to start with, along with a host of extra little benefits outside what the creation rules normally grant. You dictate the parameters, I figure out how to make the mechanics do what you want and tell you about potential problems, and I pick out flaws so as to give you your own story arc.  Official list of clans/bloodlines you can take in Chicago compatible with the group as it is: Nosferatu (must take Dark Fate flaw), Toreador, Ventrue, Brujah, Gangrel (Sabbat), Malkavian, City Gangrel (Camarilla), Tzimisce (must take the Dark Fate flaw), Gargoyle, Caitiff (Anarch typically), Assamite (Milwaukee Sabbat), True Brujah. The Dark Fate flaw means that your PC is destined to die by Antedilivuan during the end of the world. That doesn't mean you can't play, you can still run other characters even after your main one croaks. Obscure list (you can take them if you want, but you won't have support from fellow clan members in Chicago): Daughter of Cacophony, Nagarajah, Salubri (Warrior and very Camarilla), Lamia.  Got a Cappadocian (a hospital morgue doctor), Salubri (one healer(an FBI agent), one watcher (a homicide Chicago police detective), and Lasombra (an amateur boxer and criminal lawyer, he wants to go Camarilla). We have a Tzimisce plastic surgeon and medieval weapon enthusiast who sometimes does stunt work for Hollywood, the player is starting Monday Aug 31st. I have set up each pc to have fast growth, to have really good rolls for their disciplines right away. You gotta also pay for mentor ratings since you need a teacher to increase your disciplines outside of Celerity, Fortitude, Potence. If you pick from the obscure list, you can BUY up to 7th generation, but you blow 6 background dots to pull it off.  Caitiff are interesting, I made them able to teach ANY discipline they learn; normally the 13 clans can only teach their clan disciplines. A Tremere is possible, but you'd need to be a diehard Anarch (meaning the local Tremere want your keister dead, although good news for you that the Chicago ones are less than competent). At the moment, the only Discipline nobody has clan access to is Celerity, but there's a lot of clan proprietary powers that nobody has. There is a 5 pt merit that allows you to buy an additional clan discipline, by the way, and in my version of Celerity you need lots of Wits, but nowhere near as much vitae points. If you don't know the clans, I can give you information but you will need the V20 core rulebook (learning the setting and abilities but not the disciplines), the dark ages core rulebook (mostly just for the super powers/disciplines), tome of secrets (all forms of vampire magic, even obtenebration), and Erciyes Fragments (this will feature heavily in the campaign, its the Vampire bible of sorts including prophecies) books. Also a total of 20 d10's, basically two matched sets of 10 d10's, but the 2 sets cannot match each other. Preferably translucent dice, not solid. Chuck out any that have bubbles inside. Game always starts at 6pm central. The Guide to the Camarilla from the Revised edition might be handy, but not strictly necessary. Prince's Primer is nice for understanding elder vampires' mindset. This is a copy of an update I gave to a player that missed a session: Both Michael Payne and Son are dead, and Jay found another body in the basement, this time of a dead boy, a formerly months old vampire. His name was Neon, and Damien of the Brujah one of 2 anarch leaders was caring/teaching for Neon, Damien will have to be told. Neon was chained via manacles to the basement floor in Son's Skokie residence, his throat ripped out and his face gnawed upon. Evidence was found that Son was blackmailing Horatio Ballard into insane and demeaning acts. You could get a major boon from Ballard using this. Ballard apparently has been naughty. Michael accidentally killed Son, and Michael is dead thanks to the party knocking him into torpor, and the elders ending him. recall, Michael was suicidal, and homicidal plus had a rep for being a thug who used to cause chaos your character just rescued the young couple that Son was psychologically torturing, and you shot michael (bashing damage, just reduced him to torpor) as he tried to use Ben as a shield

Iron Gods campaign

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
PF1e tends to be combat focused, lots of teamwork, but there's puzzles, riddles, investigation too. I don't charge money, game time is Fridays at 6pm central. I have been GMing weekly since 1997 or so, cut my gaming teeth on AD&D first ed. I go above and beyond for my players. This campaign is Discord video chat, but we could change time/day if the other players are willing and able. Don't worry about the mechanics, they are a lot easier than most believe, I am a good teacher (or so I have been told repeatedly over decades). I do not use a VTT. Tried. So I draw it out on a wet erase board, and if there's few enemies, I don't bother and keep it in my head (I have the IQ to be able to do so, and then some). NO FURRIES! If you go into this expecting to create your character without regard to the setting or the group composition, you can kiss your entitled butt goodbye. Even if I did nothing different, the group would suffer and your PC might not make it. Each new campaign, you can pick out a new role/class, and you get first pick if you took one for the team. Lots of stupid puns and jokes. My campaigns tend to be accidentally lethal, and my NPC's react within the bounds of their Intelligence scores. I poke players into beefing up their defenses in the low levels (in between game sessions), I value intelligence and wisdom in a player. I have no problem with potent PC's, so long as they play well with others and make sense. I tend to be very helpful in between game sessions, giving as much relevant info as possible without spoiling the plot, with less info for veteran players. Quite military friendly, as my NPCs tend to react realistically and tactically. I am extremely good at teaching, not just game mechanics but also tactics, even interaction with fellow players. During game sessions, I play all my NPC's to the hilt, so if they are actively trying to kill your PC, that's how it is. I rarely fudge dice results, when I do it's for drama's sake, trying to make the game exciting and interesting. With Iron Gods you gotta make the characters WITH MY DIRECT ASSISTANCE as I make sure they fit with the group and campaigns, plus I give out extra benefits (like gear). We currently have a female aasimar Cleric, a female unchained sylph Rogue, and an Alchemist, working on a melee Fighter. They are now 2nd level, and we could use a Gunslinger (probably Techslinger archetype is best given the campaign), a Wizard magic and tech item crafter/Technomancer (who gets assistance from the Cleric and Alchemist). Iron Gods is all about alien technology meets medieval types. The campaign seems to have robots, undead, aberrations running around, so having alternatives to mind affecting stuff is a good idea. That isn't to say you can't, it just means have more than one way to mess with the tactics of the enemy. I have a giant list of races available, some of which are androgynous, others exclusively male, others exclusively female, all of which are official save for 2 (Sylvan elves and Trollans). I instituted sexual dimorphism attribute modifiers to get players running more female characters, right now for example in Iron Gods we will have 3 female characters, but played by players of either biological sex. Subtract 5 points from Strength for female characters, and add 2 points of Constitution, 2 points of Charisma, and 1 point of Wisdom. Please note that Elves, Drow, Trollans (based on Orko from masters of the universe cartoon from the 80s), Gathlain, Ghoran, and Wyrwood are not subject to this ruling, so there is no difference mechanically between male or female characters for them. Interestingly, female characters are mathematically better for Oracles, Clerics (so long as you stay away from melee combat), Sorcerers, Psychics, Mesmerists, Gunslingers, Mediums, basically anyone that doesn’t need a high Strength score, and could use the increased Constitution, Charisma, and a little bit of Wisdom. Yes, there are cheap ways to dramatically increase your carrying limits, I can show you. Skill based classes like the Unchained Rogue and Bard tend to be a mixed result, since a low Strength impacts carrying limits, Climb, Swim, and sometimes Intimidate. Male characters make better warrior types, so Fighters (melee and bows but not crossbows), Paladins, Samurai, Unchained Barbarians, Unchained Monks, Cavaliers, Inquisitors, Rangers tend to be male. Basically it pokes men into running characters that think in a more indirect, feminine way, and women into thinking in a more masculine, direct way by poking them into classes that have the right mindset/tactics. Banned Classes/Races Summoner (and Unchained version), Arcanist, Bloodrager, Brawler, Hunter, Investigator, Shaman, Skald, Slayer, Swashbuckler, Warpriest (this is all of the Advanced Class Guide), Vigilante, Shifter, all mythic paths are banned permanently (broken ruleset). Half-elves, Half-orcs are banned permanently; they are too mechanically similar to humans and don’t make sense genetically. Note that I never allow 3rd party (non Paizo) material (unless I honestly think they are balanced and appropriate but you gotta ask first), and I do not allow material that I don’t have access to personally. I am willing to get new material, however. I am the same way about the Gunslinger (need advanced tech available), Ninja (very culture centric), Samurai (very culture centric), Antipaladin (evil aligned only), Assassin (evil aligned only) classes. For example, we are playing Iron Gods, and you get access to alien guns so the Gunslinger is welcome. I won't run Rise of the Runelords, Carrion Crown, Giantslayer since I already did them.  These are the Pathfinder campaigns I have: Rise of the Runelords, Jade Regent, Shattered Star, Return of the Runelords, Reign of Winter, Mummy's Mask, Iron Gods, Curse of the Crimson Throne, Skull & Shackles, Hell's Rebels, Ruins of Azlant, Carrion Crown, Tyrant's Grasp, Strange Aeons. The difficult campaigns I have access to are Council of Thieves (3.5 have to adjust it), Giantslayer (kinda boring starting book 4 for the GM), Goblin adventure series (very short), Hell's Vengeance (evil aligned PCs), Kingmaker (3.5 have to adjust it), Second Darkness (3.5 have to adjust it). Only a few APs exist that I won't run period.  That’s not even counting the dungeon crawl classics adventure modules. Reign of Winter will let you see 18th level since I tacked on a module at the end, Carrion Crown only 15th, all other PF campaigns 17th. No gestalt classes, nothing outside the list below. Each new campaign, take a different class and role.  These are the Pathfinder classes I use: Warriors: Unchained Barbarian, Unchained Monk (very culture centric, but there are rare outside examples), Paladin, Fighter, Ranger (and possibly Gunslinger if I run Iron Gods or Reign of Winter, Samurai if running Jade Regent), Cavalier Skill Monkeys: Bard, Ranger, Unchained Rogue, possibly Ninja if running Jade Regent Divine casters: Druid, Cleric, Oracle, Inquisitor Arcane casters: Sorcerer, Wizard, Witch, Alchemist, Magus Psychics: Kineticist, Medium, Mesmerist, Occultist, Psychic, Spiritualist No politics of any kind: right, left, sexuality, real world religions, excessive feminism/whatever etc not allowed, if you have a need to make a fuss about that, you will be kicked out (all sorts tend to be in my groups). It's perfectly fine to have those views, but don't bring them to the game (this is meant to be fun, social, intellectually challenging). If you have major psych problems that get in the way of simple social interaction (explosive outbursts etc) don't contact me. I eventually ask for telephone number just in case of you not showing up to game and you didn't tell me otherwise. It's for emergency stuff, like if someone gets sick or something and I gotta cancel the game. I do care about my players! And yes, I am meticulous about not calling for funsies.  listen, I have some rules for players. 5 Sometimes you will be required to take a role you don't really want because the rest of the group made their picks already. If this happens, the next campaign I will make sure you get first pick as to your role/class. 6 If you have to make sacrifices for the group, like blowing feats on item crafting etc, I will try to send good things your way. Teamwork is important.

Dune: Adventures in the Imperium

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
**House Rhyle has vanished into the great dark.** Now the Emperor of the Known Universe has called upon your once Minor House, newly raised to Major House status, to take up their abandoned fief. You have enemies. You’ll soon have more. Raise your banner. Draw your sword. Muster every weapon of statecraft at your command and turn a hostile world into your own. But the seat of House Rhyle holds mysteries. Why did they leave? Where did they go? The Imperium claims they fled to Tupile, but is that the truth? And then there is the Scar: an astronomical anomaly that hangs in the dark of the system, a perfect circle of nothingness where something should be. What is it? How did it come to exist? Most importantly: is it a threat? Your House is new. Its future, and perhaps the future of the Imperium, is yours to shape.

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
I am looking for 3–4 players for an open-ended campaign set in the Gundam Universal Century timeline!  we will use Owlbear About the Campaign: Timeline: Starting during the One Year War (OYW) and continuing for as long as the story takes us—until the squad either falls in battle or decides to retire. Player Choice Matters: Your starting faction, objectives, and assets will be dictated by the choices you make as a group. You have the power to change the course of UC history or become another victim of its tragedy. Sandbox & Dynamic Storytelling: This is a heavy sandbox campaign. I love building the world around player motivations and goals. Some sessions will be purely character-driven roleplay with little to no combat, while others will drop you straight into gritty, intense battlefields. Custom Art: As a GM bonus, I can provide custom sprite art for your custom Mobile Suits and potentially your characters! What I Ask from Players: Patience & Feedback: I am a first-time GM stepping over to the other side of the screen for my first full campaign (after running a couple of one-shots). I might make mistakes, but I am very open to constructive tips and feedback! Roleplay Focus: We are here to craft a compelling story together, not just min-max or go on kill streaks. If you want to shape the Universal Century, this is your chance.

Riftborn - a Multiverse spanning lvl3-20 campaign

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Female DM looking for 1 more player who loves to roleplay, delve deep into lore and utilise rule of cool to join this epic multiverse spanning adventure.  This campaign will take you across multiple worlds - expect cyberpunk, steampunk, dragons, fairies and everything in between. You should expect meaningful roleplay, dangerous worlds and factions with their own motivations, morally grey areas and choices with consequences. The Multiverse awaits. Welcome to Quant, a sprawling, multicultural megatropolis built upon the skeletal remains of a forgotten deity. Existing at the exact crossroads of the multiverse, Quant is a free city that connects every plane of existence. For two centuries, the planar portals have been perfectly stable. But crossing them is a deadly gamble. For those not blessed with your gift, stepping into the chaotic energy of the Rift between space and time can mean horrific mutilation, massive time-jumps or - if you're lucky - death. Fortunately, you are Riftborn, blessed with the ability to traverse the planes - highly sought after by the rich and powerful. And on this most glorious of days, you have returned to Quant, for business, pleasure or maybe a bit of both. Either way, you're stuck here for the next few days as the city celebrates the founding of Quant and, as tradition dictates, the portals have closed for the duration. However, 200 years of planar stability is a fragile thing and there are many forces at play as the festival is in full swing. Your special talents are about to make you the most valuable assets in the multiverse. 🎲 Start at Level 3 → Rise to 20 🔥 Any class, any species (homebrew will be considered) 🧠 Deep roleplay, gritty choices, personal stakes 📜 Backstory integration + learn the worlds as you go 🗺️ Explore a multitude of planes & even create your own $20/session  Sundays 7:30pm BST - 10:30pm BST Will you manipulate the worlds to your own will or be lost forever to the Rift? Check out the game listing here!

Hello! I'm looking for available players to join my existing group. It's hard to have sessions atm because of a lack of availability with players and the fact ppl keep joining age range for this campaign is 14-17, both experienced players ame beginners are welcome! Most campaigns in the group will be homebrews, so I'm always open to suggestions for the next campaign! We're still pretty early in the first campaign (only 3 sessions in) so i feel comfortable asking people to join. (There currently is no limit on how many can join). \----- Current campaign premise: You all have received golden tickets too this years Carnival. Wether youve stolen, bought, or earned the ticket, you've been chosen! Because of this, a journalist named Aurora has hired you too do some investigation on the inner workings of the magical Carnival. Specifically, the sudden disappearance and replacement of the previous carnival master! Wether you actually investigate or just enjoy your time there is completely up too you, there are many secrets hidden away behind the spectacle of the carnival. something far more grand then a simple missing-persons case... \----- DNI IF: \*you are homophobic, transphohic, racist, etc. This group is extremely diverse in both sexuality and ethnicity so you won't have a good time, i can assure you. \*you're a map, pdf, etc. As i said this entire group is made of minors \*you're into things like incest/stepcest, proshipping/darkshipping, etc. Again you just won't have a good time as the group is against such things. \*over the age of 18+, just to keep things from having the chance of getting weird. I worked really hard on this campaign so please if you join put some effort in! This is my first time DMing so if you have tips/concerns I'm always open. Really anyone is allowed, just don't be "that guy" at the table. I want this group to be something long term so if that doesn't interest you this may not be the group for you. Thank you! All sessions will take place every Sunday at 12:30 CST unless stated otherwise in the GC. The campaign takes place over discord! Hello and welcome to your first adventure in the world of Dungeons & Dragons! If you want to join a fresh adventure but are not sure where to start, this is the perfect place for you. I am Glacial (gringo), an experienced Dungeon Master with over 12 years of experience running various TTRPGs such as Cyberpunk RED, D&D 5e, D&D 2024 (5.5e), and Daggerheart. Even though I have GMed for many different groups all over the world, my favorite remains Dungeons & Dragons—especially for beginners. I just can't get enough of seeing people discover this game (the best game ever made) for the very first time! I currently host a Discord server with over 40 players, most of whom are currently playing or have played in my games. You are more than welcome to hop in and ask them about the campaigns we've run! We have a great global community with players from the US, UK, Poland, Hungary, Finland, Romania, Germany, and beyond. The Campaign: A Customized Faerûn Experience Now that the introductions are out of the way, let me present you with my completely customized Faerûn experience! In this game, you will have the chance to be part of a story that revolves fully around your character's lore. I take the well-known world of Abeir-Toril and Faerûn—including iconic locations like Baldur's Gate, Waterdeep, Candlekeep, and Neverwinter—and build a brand-new campaign setting after discussing interests with my players. We could go on an adventure all the way to the Thay Mountains to battle the Red Wizards, venture into the dangerous jungles of Chult to uncover the mysteries of a forgotten land, or stick to the crowded, familiar cities of the Sword Coast where adventures are always abound. What You Need to Jump In The only things you need to do are add me on Discord, have a working microphone, and set up a Roll20 account (which I am happy to help you with). I will explain everything else! I will make sure everyone at the table knows how to play, and I will walk you through character creation step-by-step. You need literally zero experience to join. With that said, experienced players are also fully welcome! The cost of the game will be ranging from: $15 - $20 depending on the days we choose and the number of players.  What are you waiting for? Add me on Discord: gringo1380

Dragonbane beginner One-Shot

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello, I want to start GMing Dragonbane, this will be the first time I GM this system so beginners are welcome, we will learn as we go. I will provide all the rules and any necessary books. All i ask is that you want to play this system and is willing to learn. I'm planning on running a one-shot to begin with, and if everyone wants to continue we'll play through 11 beginner adventures that all connect into a bigger story. If everything goes well my plan is to then move on to either another premade adventure or my homebrew world. My goal is to find 4-5 players and the start date will be chosen once we have our group. I'll be using FoundryVTT and discord to play. "Dragonbane is a classic fantasy tabletop roleplaying game full of magic, mystery, and adventure. It is designed from the ground up to facilitate fast and furious play, with very little prep time and adventures that are a breeze to run. This is a game with room for laughs at the table, while still offering brutal challenges for the adventurers. We call this playstyle “mirth and mayhem roleplaying” Send me a dm if you are interested.

Free / Forgotten Realms / Long Term Campaign

Looking for: One Player that is available every Thursday and that is the right fit for our game and the team Player spaces: One DM spaces: Zero D&D version: 5.5e 2024 rules with some modifications Location: Online - Zoom Video - Beyond Maps - Google Drive Shared Folder Time: Every Thursday at 5pm Pacific - 8pm Eastern … usually a 4 hour game Game dates: Every Thursday minus a vacation or two Platform: Zoom and Beyond Game description: Forgotten Realms / Faerun / Pre-Spellplague with 5.5 2024 rules It is an established game, with a great group, and is highly immersive. It is a well balanced game that leans toward role playing, battle, and exploration. It is a choices-matter game…we believe this adds to the stakes and increases full immersion. The table is open-minded, respectful, wild at times, and committed to creating one of the best games possible. We value respect, communication, and a shared spotlight. We are looking for consistency first and investment second. We can easily figure all the other stuff out together. Beginners or Vets are welcome to apply. 18+ only, the game is Rated R plus when the story calls for it. Be aware players will drink, curse, argue sometimes, and vape at the virtual table. The role playing is very description based. Character voices are not required, but encouraged.

Moonsetter: A Project Moon D&D 5.5e Mini-Campaign

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
M Corp. Residing in District 13 of the City, and the pinnacle of mental and psychological care. Nowhere else will you find psychologists and therapists more qualified. Whether you're suffering from run-of-the-mill struggles, serious mental health conditions, or something more esoteric, you will find no better treatment than within one of M Corp's mental care institutions. …If you're well off, that is. The Backstreet slums of District 13, as is typical for all districts, doesn't get to taste the fruits of its parent corp's labour. Mental health services in the Backstreets are underfunded, neglected, and ineffective for dealing with the City's ails—with one exception. Moonsetter Clinic, founded by an ex-researcher of M Corp, seeks to bring the cutting edge of mental care to the people who most need it. Since its establishment three months ago, it has become a venerated, almost sacred institution to the Backstreets residents. Dozens of people each day walk into the complex, and walk out changed for the better. Even some of the Five Fingers have taken notice, and gone as far as to enforce it as neutral ground exempt from their bloody turf wars. It is a bona fide miracle. You don't buy it. Oh, you had your suspicions before: nothing that good ever graces the Backstreets without some strings attached. But there's also a personal reason behind your mistrust. You know someone—friend or family, colleague or simple acquaintance—who is a frequent patient of this place, and they recently went for their usual check-up. Maybe you even accompanied them to the lobby. It's been days, and they haven't returned. Your suspicion turned to surety. You quickly came across others who shared your experience, banded together, and decided. There is something rotten about Moonsetter Clinic, and you are all going to get to the bottom of it. Introduction Hi there! I am Nope (22, he/they). I hail from the far-off land of New Zealand, and I've been playing and running TTRPGs for close to 9 years now—mainly D&D 5e and 5.5e, but I've also dabbled in other systems like Pf2e and Lancer as well. I am also, as the title might indicate, a big Project Moon fan! This mini-campaign was made to combine two of the interests nearest to my heart, and is hopefully the start of a larger anthology of adventures set in the City. If you're not aware, Project Moon is a Korean indie game studio that creates games set in The City: a cyberpunk dystopia with fantasy elements. Life is cheap, violence is banal and commonplace, and corporation rule unchecked. In terms of vibes, think office workers in suits or streetwear fighting with store-bought swords and back-alley augmentation procedures, living paycheck to paycheck. Familiarity with this setting is not required for this mini-campaign; the plot will be pretty self-contained and won't make many references to the wider Project Moon canon. Details - System: D&D 5.5e, with some homebrew to adapt it to Project Moon's setting. The necessary homebrew is actually quite light (just 9ish pages) thanks to the City arguably borrowing more from high fantasy than conventional sci-fi in its worldbuilding; thus, the majority of translation is in reflavouring abilities and classes rather than bespoke custom rules. You can take a peek at the homebrew I plan to use here. - Level: Probably around 5-7, to be discussed with players during Session 0. Level-up is unlikely, given that this is a single adventure. - Time: Sunday 2pm fortnightly, GMT+12. Sessions will run from 3-4 hours. - Starting Date: My goal is to hold Session 0 sometime in early-mid October! - Length: 4-6 sessions, as a very rough estimate. More likely to be longer than shorter. - Players Needed: 4-5 - Platform: Foundry for VTT, Discord for communication Requirements - Age 18+ - Have a decent mic and a stable internet connection. - Have some decent experience with D&D 5e or 5.5e, or be willing to learn quickly. - Be willing to be earnestly invested in the campaign, and in each other's characters. - Be prompt and timely in showing up to sessions; give advance notice of a few days if you're not able to make it. - Don't be a bigot or an asshole. - No use of generative AI; I'm not a fan. Further Considerations - This is an LGBTQ+ friendly table! If you're not comfortable with that, go elsewhere. - The following topics will be covered: classism, mental health, medical malpractice, slight body horror. - The campaign will likely have a focus on combat and social interaction, with limited exploration. - This campaign is intended to be serious, but not misery porn! There will be ample space for jokes, light-hearted moments, and goofiness in general. - Combat difficulty will aim for 'challenging but fair'. I'm not interested in playing every encounter absolutely optimally; enemies will act based on their personalities, goals, and the current situation. As a DM, my priority is for combat to be fun and engaging, while still maintaining actual stakes—notably, this means non-zero chances of character death. - The setting of the campaign is not perfectly 1-to-1 with the Project Moon setting, due to D&D's mechanics and structure. The biggest divergence from canon is that magic as it works in D&D exists in the City and is well-understood and utilized as just one of many pathways to gain power, alongside technology, augmentations, and sheer competence. - Project Moon's stories are very character-focused, with emphasis on personal trauma, character growth, and facing your fears to achieve self-actualization. Include the word sun somewhere in your application. While the scope of this mini-campaign means there probably won't be much in the way of formative character arcs and development, I want to keep that focus on character-driven personal stories that Project Moon is known for. - My hope is to run this mini-campaign and others like it (some set in the City, some with their own bespoke settings) to build a community of like-minded players, with whom I hope to establish a long-term TTRPG gaming group! - I am technically a Project Moon larper LMAO (haven't played any of the games, got into it purely through watching playthroughs and wiki-diving) Applying If you want to apply, fill out this form! Once I gather enough respondents, I will shortlist a number of potential players and schedule interviews with them over voice call on Discord. After that, I will select 4-5 players to invite to a Session 0, and hopefully from there the campaign will begin!

Chrome Fires Burning: a Cities Without Number cam

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
Looking for players for a CWN campaign tentatively titled “Chrome Fires Burning.” Voice is on Discord, VTT will probably be roll20. Everyone is welcome, the only rule is don’t be a dick. Games will be Sunday nights at 9PM CST Elevator pitch is as follows: The year is 2072. In 2025 the development of a new drug, ephemerol, lead to unbelievable advances in cybernetics and technological implantation. Able to bridge the gap between the nervous system and machine circuitry, ephemerol was hailed as a miracle drug, ushering in a new age of transhumanism However, before this new technological golden age could be upon us, it was smothered in the cradle by corporate greed. A jealousy guarded secret, the corporations who developed it held the formula for the miracle drug hostage, demanding corporate sovereignty in exchange for granting access to the masses. A combination of public promises, lobbyists, and paid politicians ensured this deal went through The gift became a double edged sword as the drug was distributed, only working with the cybernetics supplied by those corporations granted sovereignty, allowing them to gobble up more and more influence, to the point that entire cities have become little more than corporate towns, beholden to the companies that own them Within these sovereign territories, anything that threatens the bottom line is meet with brutal consequences. The workers who decided to rise up, to unionize, were branded criminals and domestic terrorists, locked away if not executed in a back alley Public utilities have been sold off little by little, leaving those who refuse the hand of the corporations with rapidly dwindling resources. The once mighty governments of the world now forced to bend the knee to the oligarchs Gangs run rampant, acting with impunity as long as their dues are paid, or left to their own devices due to lack of resources to stop them Despite this turmoil, there is new opportunity. Companies now fight a desperate war for market share, managers willing to pay to sabotage one another for the next promotion. Money talks, and right now, it’s screaming Chicago is one such battleground. Built into a shining edifice as the headquarters of several massive corporations, it now resembles a patchwork of countries, as each corporation claims sovereign territory within the blocks of city property it lays claim to. A hub of trade even in this time, boardroom battles spill out on to the streets, bullet and blade picking up where ink and negotiation fail

The story is set in a world with 4 distinct nations, each with their importance in and out of the main story, ranging from a massive nation built on a large city, to a divided nation of high mountain dwellers to grassland and desert inhabiting nomads. This campaign has been running for 1 and a half years and i'm looking for a player to join. This is a mostly homebrew world with a homebrew story, with a few house rules just to make the game more enjoyable (notably i decided to axe casters only being able to cast 1 spell on their turn, e.g. Fireball then Misty step being allowed). This dnd uses DnD beyond for the making of sheets and gameplay but uses roll 20 for the visual side and battlemaps. We are also using discord for talking amongst eachother, so only real requirement is that you have a mic, that is all. The party is level 11 and as such you'd be starting at their level, it consists of a Monk, Artificer and a Cleric. There was another player but they've taken a temporary hiatus and the other player has essentially gone awol, hence why im looking for another player. I've been a DM/player for around 2 years now, with my players also playing dnd for around 2 years, we are all around the same age (16-17) . If you wish to join, simply reply with your discord user and a lil bout yourself, favourite class and whatever else you wish to say.

Specimen Unknown

Eli Boone grew up in a small agricultural town in Ohio. He's a friendly, loyal, hardworking guy with strong small-town values. He believes in helping people, keeping his word, and doing what's right. He wasn't always a believer in the supernatural. That changed during a family trip to Wisconsin. While visiting his uncle, Eli experienced what appeared to be a genuine haunting: cold spots, voices, the sensation of being watched, and other unexplained events. During the same trip, his family's car was chased by what Eli believes was the Beast of Bray Road. On the drive home, the family witnessed two unidentified objects in the sky. Three completely different paranormal experiences in the span of one trip convinced Eli that the world was considerably stranger than he had thought. He posted about the experiences online, expecting people to think he was crazy. Most did. But one organization took his story very seriously. The Aegis Foundation The Aegis Foundation is a recently established international organization that publicly presents itself as a humanitarian and charitable organization dedicated to protecting people and improving lives. Behind the scenes, however, Aegis knows that monsters and other supernatural phenomena exist. The organization has wealthy international benefactors, extensive resources, official connections, rigorous training programs, and a growing network of facilities. It is also extremely bureaucratic and secretive. Aegis wants monster specimens—dead or alive—for reasons that aren't entirely clear. Eli was recruited immediately after high school and became the first paid field Hunter employed by Aegis. He's been extensively trained and equipped, and he's genuinely proud to work for them. Aegis gave him a purpose and took him seriously when everyone else thought he was crazy. The catch? Eli doesn't actually know what Aegis ultimately wants. And neither do I. I'd love to explore that mystery during the campaign. What I'm Looking For I'm hoping to find a Keeper who is interested in taking this premise and running with it. I'm particularly interested in: Monster-hunting and investigation Character-driven stories A little mystery surrounding Aegis The occasional horror, but not necessarily nonstop grimdark Humor and fun between the scary stuff Characters who have reasons to care about each other Collaborative worldbuilding The possibility of the characters gradually discovering what Aegis is really doing I'm new to Monster of the Week, so I'm looking for a group that's welcoming to someone learning the system. I'm not expecting the campaign to revolve around Eli or Aegis—I'd like the other players' characters and stories to be just as important. If you're a Keeper looking for a campaign idea, or a player interested in joining something like this, I'd love to hear from you.

Star Wars – Mystery at Galaxy's Edge

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
The galaxy is changing… and not for the better. The Yuuzhan Vong have arrived from beyond the known galaxy, bringing living ships, terrifying biotechnology, and a hatred of machines that has already left entire worlds in ruin. The New Republic is struggling to respond, the Jedi are stretched thin, and the hyperspace lanes are filled with refugees, rumors, and fear. In the middle of this chaos, you are part of a small crew trying to survive and make a difference. Maybe you’re Jedi trying to understand this strange new enemy. Maybe you’re soldiers fighting a desperate delaying action. Smugglers, scouts, diplomats, and survivors all have a place in a galaxy where the rules of war are rapidly changing. This campaign will focus heavily on roleplay, character choices, and the personal stories that unfold during a massive galactic war. Expect tense negotiations, dangerous missions behind enemy lines, moral dilemmas, and moments where your characters must decide what they’re willing to sacrifice to protect the galaxy. The Yuuzhan Vong are coming. Who will your character be when the galaxy needs heroes… or survivors? Looking for GM and Players.  Saturdays 10:00 AM GMT Does this day and time work for you, and can you reliably make the sessions? How old are you and how much RPG experience do you have? Do both you and your character work well in a team? Are you familiar with Saga Edition and do you have a copy of it? What is your character concept? Please answer all the questions to be considered.

Grasianil Chronicles[Custom D6 System][Maptool]

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Looking for player interested in testing custom game system via narrative roleplay and learning the system itself. Grasianil: Custom D6-based system utilizing Maptool primarily, heavily stream-lined to support large, quick battles. Versatility allows vehicles, mechs, and spaceships, utilizing unique mechanics, in-addition to single players. Minimal delays owing to macros within Maptool, utilizing pop-up menus, automatic calculation of damage, debuffs, armor, etc. Highly adaptable, with streamlined rules offering as much complexity as is desired, and based on the setting. Developed by myself and my partner who passed away earlier this year. Supports several original fantasy and sci fi worlds of varying types, from traditional western high fantasy, to detailed low fantasy, from space opera-style sci fi, to more realistic settings. In-addition to original settings not listed here, it has been adapted to: Legend of Zelda Battletech Middle Earth Forgotten Realms Mystara Shadowrun and Cyberpunk Pre-existing settings are not played strictly-canon, but consistency is stressed. Medium amount of experience in RPing requested, as well as an open mind to learn a new system. Maptool 1.11.5 needed, Discord used primarily for all text but other programs are an option, Google sheets used for some settings. Time-zone of GM is US Central. RPing otherwise done via text on Discord, but other options open to discussion. Session date and time variable, any listed setting available, suggestions welcome, inquire in DMs to myself for further details. GM preference for folks interested in creating a story, rather than purely for the gaming. One-on-one only, at the moment. No cost. No absolute obligation. Reach out to natalie7995 on Discord, or via message/email for more information. When reaching out, please send a message via Groupfinder or over Discord.

Journey for the Azure Crown: An Epic D&D Adventure

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
The Azure Crown Tournament is the most prestigious and dangerous contest in all of Greyhawk, but before your party can even earn a place in the tournament, you'll need to make a name for yourselves. Explore the continent, delve into dungeons, take on dangerous contracts. Make allies and enemies. Build a reputation across Greyhawk and, eventually, prove that your party deserves to stand among the greatest adventurers in the realm. I'm currently putting together a brand-new group for a weekly, long-term D&D campaign, and I'm looking for up to 6 players. The Game • D&D 2024 / 5.5e • Weekly Thursdays • 7:00 PM AEST • ~3 hour sessions • Roll20 + Discord + D&D Beyond • $19.50 USD per session through StartPlaying • Session 0 is completely free • Beginner friendly • 18+ What to Expect This is a roleplay-heavy campaign set across Greyhawk, with plenty of exploration, mystery and combat along the way. I put a big emphasis on making your characters feel like they're actually part of the world. Your backstories, decisions, allies, enemies and ridiculous plans can all have lasting consequences. You can expect: • Character-driven storytelling and backstory integration • A world that reacts to your choices • Plenty of NPCs to befriend, antagonise, romance or accidentally ruin the lives of • Dynamic combat encounters rather than endless empty-room slugfests • High-quality maps, dynamic lighting, ambient music and other Roll20 goodies • A healthy dose of Rule of Cool • A welcoming table for both experienced and completely new players About Me Hey! I'm Cam. I've been playing D&D for around 5 years and DMing for about 3. Outside of running games, I make D&D videos as Rogue's Roll Call, so there's a chance you've seen one of my dumb D&D videos floating around TikTok, Instagram or YouTube. I've recently started running professional games through StartPlaying, where I currently have a full ongoing table playing this campaign. I'm now opening a new Thursday group for players who want to begin the adventure from the start. Session 0 is free, so you'll have a chance to create characters together and make sure the table feels right before paying for anything. Will your party become worthy of the Azure Crown? You can read the full campaign details and grab a seat here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmsx46pbd004hjj04adagpui6?ref=clhennefl000808mc9imebmog

Threshhold: Chapter 4

It's a modern-day D&D campaign largely using 5e/Homebrew game mechanics. Tarot cards suddenly appeared on Earth and give their holders Avatar forms and class abilities. A Drow civilization from a magical inner world has discovered Earth, and we're currently trying to stop an invasion. The party just crossed into the Underdark on the way to Agartha. It's got serious story and character development, but we also screw around a lot between the heavy stuff. You can join without knowing the previous story because we'll work your character into it naturally. At first, the story was relatively small. A handful of people discovered cards, learned what they could do, trained together, dealt with other Cardholders, and tried to understand why these things had suddenly appeared. Then everything went to hell. Giant spiders invaded Amherst. The attacks eventually became large enough that the military was fighting openly in the streets, civilians were being evacuated, and the existence of impossible creatures could no longer be completely hidden from the public. The party discovered that the spiders were connected to the Drow, and that Earth isn't the only world humanity needs to worry about. Beneath our world exists Agartha, an enormous magical inner world filled with the races, monsters, civilizations, and magic you'd normally associate with a fantasy setting. Separating Earth from that world is a single passage called the Threshold. And someone on the other side found it. One of the Five Great Drow Houses of Menzoberranzan discovered Earth, creating the possibility of an invasion against a planet that has virtually no natural defenses against magic. That's why the Guardian Force cards appeared. A powerful being called Alexander discovered what was happening and cast the GF Deck through the Threshold, essentially throwing magical weapons into humanity's hands and hoping the people chosen by them could become strong enough to defend Earth. Things escalated again when a cult on Earth summoned a powerful Drow Priestess from another Great House. She killed the holder of the Odin GF card, took Odin for herself, and attacked Amherst alongside a massive spider horde. She was powerful enough to shrug off .50-caliber gunfire, turning the fight into our first real raid encounter. The party, other Cardholders, Alexander, and the military eventually brought her down. But defeating her exposed a much bigger problem. Alexander recognized her markings. She wasn't from the House already preparing to invade Earth. That means knowledge of Earth may be spreading among the Drow Houses, and if all five learn that an essentially nonmagical world exists beyond the Threshold, Earth could become the prize in a race between them. That's where the campaign is now. The party has crossed the Threshold and entered the Underdark with Alexander. Their goal is to survive a roughly five-day journey around Menzoberranzan, reach the surface of Agartha, and help Alexander find six legendary heroes powerful enough to stand against what may be coming. Meanwhile, other Cardholders remain on Earth, protecting people, recovering GF cards, finding new Cardholders, and preparing humanity for another attack. So new characters have several natural ways to enter the story. You could be an existing Cardholder we've never met, someone who recently discovered a GF card, someone the Earth team recruits, or potentially someone we encounter in Agartha itself.

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
Hi I'm Alice, I'm 29 and I'm looking to get back into DMing. I've linked up with a player already who's asked I create a thingy on here so we can find more players!  I'm looking to run some beginner friendly one-shots and maybe a shorter mini campaign like Sunless Citadel. We'll be using the D&D5e 2014 rules, I can provide access to a bunch of the books if required, but I don't have a DNDbeyond account or anything like that for sharing. No previous experience particularly required, just ask that you're open to trying new things. I prefer one-shots and dungeon crawls as my play style, so do be aware this isn't one of those situations where a oneshot is an interview into a campaign.  LGBTQ+ players preferred/prioritised, and players must be 21+. Not for any weird content reasons, just because that's how old we are roughly.  We'd be looking to play GMT/BST evenings midweek starting about 7pm, or Saturday afternoons/evening.

Paid game

The year is 2062 - nearly three decades after the world fractured. New Haven stands as a survivor - a walled city of rationed lives, corporate power and carefully maintained lies - where institutional failings, personal tragedies and collective trauma breed psychic horrors beyond comprehension - dubbed "SINs". That's where CAIN and its Exorcists - psychically awakened hunters who (still) hold control over their will and abilities - come in. When the truth is buried, someone has to step into the dark - investigate, contain, and decide what’s worth saving before the city breaks again. ════════════════════════════════════════════ ⚠ Hunters of the Psychic Sea ⚠ is an Episodic Campaign of CAIN TTRPG, a system inspired by horror-action anime and fiction (Chainsaw Man meets S.C.P.) and focused on a structure of paranormal investigations and deadly combat, with the use of other-wordly psychich abilities - "Blasphemies" - to slice open both the world and opponents with player creativity. As Exorcists at the service of CAIN, explore an uncaring, walled dystopia as you sniff out hidden truths, track down SINs and "wipe away the stain" however you see fit, in a wide set of investigations growing more and more dangerous... Will you threaten, bribe and kill? Or empathize, aid and protect? All is sanctioned - as long as the mission is complete. Do you have what it takes to survive the Psychic Sea? Or will you drown with the rest of the graceless?

Prosperon: a Bio-Cyberpunk RPG

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
No paid games
On a player profile - you are looking for free games and are not interested in paid ones.
I'm a game designer, and I'm looking for a group of great players to help me playtest the crap out of it. Anyone willing to playtest will get a free digital copy of Prosperon on the house. I was thinking of running sessions every other week on Saturdays, since I already run a podcast campaign weekly. If you're interested, sign up and let’s have a blast. To give you an idea of the gameplay style, it’s about 65% roleplay and 35% combat, though that really depends on the group’s dynamics. If you all want more combat, I can absolutely make that happen. The game is a cyberpunk/biopunk mix set in a dystopian society on a distant planet far from Earth. Humanity colonized a world called Khaelmora, later renamed Prosperon by the human settlers. If you're interested, let’s get those dice rolling and have a good time. I just wanted to add that I’m also looking to start a play‑by‑post group. I still want to run a VTT game, of course, but a play‑by‑post format could be fun too.

The Galaxy is Changing. The Clone Wars are over, the Republic has fallen, and the Galactic Empire is tightening its iron grip. Darth Vader hunts the remaining Jedi, and Core World nobles willingly profit from the new regime's tyranny. There is no organized rebellion yet—just isolated sparks, harsh oppression, and a galaxy that tolerates zero opposition. You and your crew find yourselves caught right in the middle of this dangerous new era. With nowhere to run and nowhere to hide, a mistake doesn't just mean failure—it means a one-way trip to Kessel. Can a band of ordinary or desperate souls find a way to strike back against a monolithic threat? Your journey begins with a clandestine meeting with a certain sympathetic Senator from Alderaan... System: SW5e (Star Wars 5e) Setting: 17 BBY (Dawn of Defiance Campaign) Vibe: Gritty, high-stakes rebellion rising from the ashes of the Clone Wars.

Darkest greetings! I am posting this on behalf of my game group. We're 4 european friends who recently finished a D&D campaign. And now we are casting our collective gaze towards the lands of Vampire the Masquerade. We would like to find a decently experienced Storyteller to helm this weekly game of Vampire.  All of us have varying degrees of knowledge of the world and the gameplay. But we're all equally familiar with the fundamentals at least. All of us have fleshed out ideas of our characters. But are still very open to changes and negotiation to make the chronicle smooth from the Storyteller's end.  Feel free to message me here or on Discord. :)

AVATAR: THE SEVERED AGE "They told us the elements were sacred. Then they put a price on them, a chip in your skull, and a payment plan on your soul." The Premise Korra has been dead for three years. In the decades before her death, the Spirit Portal in Republic City stopped being a miracle and became an energy source. Spirit vines spread through the city's foundations, rail lines, power grid... and eventually into people. Engineers learned to route chi through circuitry. Ripperdocs learned to graft it into flesh. What should have taken a century took thirty years. The world woke up neon. Today, anyone with enough money or enough debt can buy bending. A non-bender walks into a corporate storefront, signs a financing contract for a Chi Emulator, and walks out throwing fire like a Fire Nation soldier. The Equalist dream came true. Not through revolution. Through retail. Every implant comes with a hidden cost. The more chrome you install, the quieter your own chi becomes. Benders slowly lose their connection to the elements until, eventually, they become Severed. No spirits. No bending. No way back... at least, that's what everyone believes. Meanwhile, somewhere in the world is an Earth Kingdom child who should have become the next Avatar. They are three years old. No one has found them. The White Lotus has searched for years without success. Some believe the child was born spirit-deaf. Others whisper a corporation found them first and is quietly discovering what an Avatar's soul is worth. Some fear the Avatar Cycle itself is breaking. Everyone is searching for the same missing child. You'll either find them first... ...or discover why no one else ever could. What You Can Play: A traditional bender trying to preserve a dying art. A Severed ex-bender willing to burn the world to reclaim their element. A Ghost, projecting their spirit into the digital Weave where something ancient may already be waiting. A ripperdoc, fixer, mercenary, or corporate Emulator runner drowning in debt. An Air Nomad who has rejected cybernetics entirely, remaining one of the few souls still fully connected to the spirits and uniquely capable of healing what technology has stolen. Themes: Cyberpunk noir Corporate corruption Spiritual horror Identity and humanity The price of progress Hope in a broken world This is a campaign about difficult choices with permanent consequences. Expect street-level jobs, corporate conspiracies, spirits hiding in fiber-optic cables, desperate people trying to reclaim what they've lost, and quiet moments between the action that remind everyone what's worth fighting for. The central question is simple: What are you willing to trade away... and can you ever get it back? System: Savage Worlds Adventure Edition (custom Avatar conversion) No prior Savage Worlds experience required. No Avatar knowledge required. All rules and setting information will be provided. The game is fast, cinematic, beginner-friendly, and focused on character-driven storytelling. "Chrome is easy to buy. Getting your soul back takes a lot longer." This game costs $20 per session

Whatever the opposite of a railroaded adventure is, this open-world campaign is that. The rules are simple. The world is complicated. What happens to it is up to the players. You will hear rumors, discover locations, meet competing factions, and encounter problems, but the game will not tell you which direction you must take. Some things the players have chosen to do so far: Join the local mercenaries to learn the ways of the sword as a mage - Retrieve an old lady's purse - Become war chieftain of an orc village - Decapitate a wight with a cursed sword Also some new races that are crafted to play and feel very different: - Pixie - fly, perfect hiding, cast phantasmal forces at will, insults cause physical damage to you - Orc - infra-vision, can recruit monsters more easily Races and classes are kind of blended together. Multiple characters are encouraged. Each choice allows you to do something that appears to let you break the game, while saddling you with something else that seems debilitating. This is by design, and players have come up with a few ways of getting around and abusing these things to the betterment of the story and lore. - Fighting-Man - Doesn't have to actually be a guy, but is a human. Can use all weapons and armor. - Magic-User - Has one spell, one "shot". Can meet with magic learned peers to exchange knowledge. The most notorious spell in the game right now is Charm Person because it doesn't wear off like in later editions. - Cleric - The best of the two above, but must be Good, and by the Law. - Elf - Essentially a Magic-Use/Fighting-Man with extra perks and ties with elves and the ability to sense magic, enhanced senses, etc. but capped at a certain point - Hobbit - Capped early, but can hide flawlessly in urban areas and snipe REAL good with slings. No magic. - Dwarf -  Capped early, but high resistance, good with all axes and hammers, can sense what stone touches and its shape, and ties with and extensive knowledge of dwarven culture and holds. There are major events going on in the background but instead of shoving players in the middle of them, I showcase the developments of those events that come about, for good or ill. The players decide what to investigate, whom to trust, which dangers are worth confronting, and what their characters want to accomplish. How many hirelings do you need to bring with you? How much can you do successfully alone to maximize profit? Play alone, 1-on-1 with DM and player, or up to 10 others at once. The world continues to develop around the party. Factions pursue their own plans, NPCs remember your actions, enemies adapt, settlements can change, and neglected situations may grow better or worse. Player choices can permanently reshape the campaign world. Let me know if you are interested!

Chronicles of Runeheim

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
I'm opening a new campaign on my homebrew world inspired by Gilenor (rs3)! Summary For over a millennia, the Empire of Runeheim has enjoyed a fragile peace under the World Council. The Great God Wars are a distant memory, the gods themselves have been sealed away by the Edict of Guthix, and magic is now into the very skin of mortals through runic tattoos. But the silence of the gods is being broken. On the prehistoric island of Anachronia, archaeologists have unearthed inscriptions of "Ancient Gods" that predate creation itself. What will happen to the world in case all those inscriptions are really true? The Game: This is a long-term, high-fantasy campaign set in Runeheim, a homebrew world inspired by the lore and atmosphere of RuneScape (RS3/OSRS). You don't need to have played the games to be part of this campaign (and I honestly kinda prefer you didn't play, since there's a lot of changes xD) We will begin at Level 1 in the humble town of Catherby, eventually scaling to Level 20 as you navigate the main areas of the world in search of hidden artifacts alongside the archeologists. System: D&D 5e (2014 Rules with some 2024 additions) Time: Wednesdays at 7:00 PM EST Platform: Foundry + Discord Tone: The setting is very political, so it's serious but with room for humor. Think 70% Roleplay / 15% Exploration / 15% Combat. Pacing: Slow-burn. Your choices will matter later on the campaign, and background is necessary since it'll be implemented on the story. Who I am looking for: The Storytellers: Players who love to rp, develop their character’s goals, fears, and relationships. The Lore-Hounds: You don't need to know RuneScape lore (this is a homebrew spin), but you should enjoy uncovering world history and political secrets. Consistency: Since this is a long-term epic, I am looking for players who can commit to a weekly schedule. World Features: Runic Magic: A unique take on spellcasting where magic is tied to runic tattoos and "Pure Essence". Deep Factions: From the White Knights of Falador to the mysterious Prophets of Zaros. Meaningful Choices: No true scripted paths. Will you uphold the Empire’s order, or side with the chaos of the seas? Send me a DM if you want to take part of this story!

AD&D 2e - Adventures in Avigard

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Playtest
The game is still being tested, and your feedback is part of the point.
Looking for players interested in playing in a heavily homebrewed AD&D 2e environment, based in the homebrew world of Avigard. This setting is entirely homebrew and involves a full redesign of classes, new classes, and the integration of a freeform magic system that fully replaces vancian magic.  We're currently in the phase of simply looking for players, and the goal is to find a time between 12 PM to 4 PM for playing on Sundays in a local game store or at someone's house if someone has the room for it. Despite being AD&D 2e the game will be run in a more roleplay oriented way. Though the world will be dangerous and it's worth weighing your options in risky situations, and combat is never a favored outcome, it will not be strictly deadly. I run with the 2e Bleed out rules and am generally happy to provide situations with healers if resurrection of characters are needed. I enjoy helping people make backstories and will happily figure one out, but with AD&D 2e backstories should be simpler than the usual 5e fare.

Pirate Borg seeking 1-2 more players

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Greetings, scoundrels, thieves, rogues, and pirates. I'm running a short to medium length Pirate Borg campaign and looking for 1–2 more players to join the filthy ranks. You'll be thrown into a lethal sandbox in the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy, where war, undead horrors, occult forces, and general madness are dragging the world toward apocalypse. You won't be playing heroic do-gooders. You'll be desperate bastards with loaded pistols, questionable morals, and whatever ambitions you can keep alive long enough to pursue. There is no predetermined story you're expected to follow. Characters are randomly rolled, death is very much on the table, and what you do with the miserable life the dice give you is entirely up to you. Become a legendary pirate. Steal a ship. Hunt horrors for silver. Get filthy rich. Become an exotic undead drug kingpin. Start a war. Or simply try to survive the end of the world. I've already got three solid players, and we're setting sail next Monday. Sessions run weekly on Mondays at 7 PM PT for roughly 3–4 hours, using Foundry with Discord for voice. The crew is established and the game is happening, no weeks of session zeros or waiting around to get things off the ground. Pirate Borg is rules-light and easy to learn; no experience is required. Roll a character. Play next Monday. If you're interested, shoot me a DM with a little about yourself, why you want to join, and what you're hoping to get out of the game. We'll go from there. Bring rum. Bring powder. Bring a spare character.

Pirates! Jungles! Demons! - The Savage Tide

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
A stolen fortune leads from the streets of Sasserine to pirate-infested seas, lost jungles, ancient ruins, and the horrors of the Savage Tide. Start your fall with a brand-new campaign! Your journey begins in the City of Sails, where a missing fortune and a desperate noblewoman draw you into a conspiracy of thieves, pirates, ancient secrets, and demonic forces. You will command ships, brave pirate-infested seas, explore the lost jungles of the Isle of Dread, uncover forgotten civilizations, and decide the fate of a world threatened by the Savage Tide. This campaign is my 5e conversion of Dungeon Magazine’s legendary Savage Tide Adventure Path—an epic adventure that carries its heroes from the streets of Sasserine to mysterious islands and far beyond. Along the way, you will battle savage creatures, confront dark cults, and awaken ancient powers that should have remained forgotten. What begins as a desperate search for a missing fortune will grow into a struggle for countless lives—and perhaps the fate of the world itself. The campaign features a new homebrew naval combat system designed to be exciting, cinematic, and easy to learn. Perfect for players who enjoy long-term campaigns where choices matter, characters grow, and the world changes around them. Will you rise against the coming darkness—or be swept away by the Savage Tide? The tide is rising. The crew is assembling. Don’t miss the boat! Best Leave Them Ghosts Alone Old Gods of Appalachi

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
Years ago, someone close to you died. What happened afterward bound you and your childhood friends together in ways none of you ever really escaped. Now that friend is gone again, you have all returned home for the funeral. What follows is not a story about hunting monsters. It is a story about going back to a place you thought you had left behind, seeing old friends again, remembering things differently, and discovering that the past may not be finished with you yet. Best Leave Them Ghosts Alone is a character-driven Old Gods of Appalachia mystery filled with grief, memory, strange happenings, and the uneasy feeling that something familiar has been waiting for you to come home. Expect: 🕯️ A deeply personal mystery where your shared history matters as much as the clues you uncover 🕯️ Heavy roleplay and light combat, with room to talk, investigate, remember, and make difficult choices 🕯️ A story we build together, including pieces of your characters' childhood, friendships, and memories 🕯️ Creative problem solving where unusual ideas are often more interesting than finding the "right" answer 🕯️ Slow-building Appalachian horror focused on atmosphere, emotion, and things that feel just a little too familiar 🕯️ Strange and useful discoveries that may give you unexpected ways to change the story 🕯️ Rules that stay out of the way so we can spend more time inside the scene and less time looking things up This game is also designed as an easy introduction to the new Cypher System. No experience is needed, and there is nothing you need to study beforehand. I will teach the rules as they come up during play. Use the VTT for dice rolling, or bring your own dice and use the provided character PDF. Come home. See your old friends. And find out what has been waiting for you. This is a heavy Roleplay session and explore some emotional beats. It is also a horror that goes into the following triggers: Child Death, Grief, Ghosts, Funerals, and Haunting. We will have descretion tools in place. Game is $20 USD + SPG fees. Here is the link to the game. Message me if you have any questions.

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Known by all, loved by many, the most popular and respected Grand Duke of Baldur's Gate in the city's history, a legendary hero and adventurer of years past, Abdel Adrian, also know as Gorion's Ward, is about to give a speech at The Wide - the biggest plaza in the Upper City of Baldur's Gate often used as a marketplace. The occasion for the speech is the Returning Day - the most important Baldurian holiday when people celebrate the return of the famous sailor Balduran from Anchorôme to Faerûn, who brought unbelievable riches from his voyage back to his home village of Gray Harbor some 400 years ago and ordered the fortification of the village and building of the city walls around it, thus founding Baldur's Gate. You are among the spectators, the audience at The Wide, ready to witness the living legend. But something goes wrong. Terribly wrong... Starting from that day, you will be caught in the middle of a whirlwind of catastrophic events that would signify the beginning of the Second Sundering - the cataclysm that would later shape the Forgotten Realms as you know them. Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Venture beneath Waterdeep into Undermountain, a sprawling dungeon filled with deadly monsters, forgotten treasures, strange factions, and secrets buried for centuries. This is a classic dungeon crawl focused on exploration, combat, discovery, and the constant question of whether you should push deeper... or turn back while you still can. This is a challenging game with survival elements. Resources matter, injuries can linger, and Long Rests are only possible in secure, designated safe areas. Every expedition carries risks, and careless decisions can have lasting consequences. If you enjoy tense exploration, dangerous encounters, clever problem-solving, and earning every victory, Undermountain is waiting. The game is designed for players who want a more dangerous and grounded dungeon-crawling experience. You don't need to be an expert in D&D, but you'll need to work together, think creatively, and be prepared for the dungeon to fight back. Session 0 and 1 will be FREE! Time: Saturdays at 16:00 CET Price: $25 via SPG AI Content Disclaimer: This game may include AI-generated or AI-assisted material, such as character portraits, maps, artwork, or other visual assets.

The Land Beyond the Fog

Hello, I'm Bartek and I dm a soulslike homebrew DND campaign, heavy roleplay and engaging combat. With a very immersive, and active homebrew pantheon. The players are now at session 3 of the campaign and about to enter some catacombs, however 2 of our players have had to leave due to their own personal lives, giving us 2 extra slot This is the prologue the players received in session 1, to give you the vibe of the campaign. The fallen leaves tell a story... Of a land beyond the fog. Before kingdoms. Before war. Before the names of kings were carved into stone... There was Vita, Mother of All. From her hands came the first trees, their roots piercing the untouched earth. From the trees came the first plants. From the plants came sustenance. Then came the beasts of field and forest, given breath beneath the newborn sky. And at last... Vita created Man. But there was only one. His name was Vex. The First Man. In those earliest days, Vex was a gracious ruler. He built where there was nothing. He nurtured what was fragile. He gave order to a world yet untouched by war. And beneath Vita's watch... His people prospered. Yet life, once born, does not remain still. Vita bore within her the promise of three children. And where there is creation... It must cast a shadow. From the darkness cast by Vita's own existence came something that bore but one name. Umbrosus. The Eternal Dark. It dwelled where sunlight dared not reach. Beneath roots. Beneath stone. Within the forgotten places of the world. At first, it knew nothing of Man. Nothing of Vita. Nothing of the tongue spoken by living things. But it watched. And it learned. Slowly, Umbrosus crept into the dwelling of Vita. It learned the language of its creator. It listened to the voices of her children. And in the stillness of night... It heard the beating of Vita's heart. One heartbeat. Then another. Then... three more. For within the Mother slept the unborn children of the world. Mortuus The Golden Child. Distortus. The Forgotten Son. Enchidna. The Mother of Monsters. Three children. Untouched by the world's cruelty. Three souls destined to inherit the Mother's creation. But Umbrosus reached them first While Vita slept... The shadow entered the womb It did not kill them. It did something far worse. It left within each child an ember of itself. A darkness that not even the Mother's light could wholly extinguish Kings may bury their crimes. Civilizations may burn their histories. Gods may attempt to erase their mistakes. But time continues. And eventually, time reveals all And so... The children of Vita were born carrying a fragment of the shadow. And now... Our world bears the weight of it. But where there is shadow... There is light. Light that finds its way through the cracks. Light that refuses to die. Light that does not merely shine... but roars And now... There is only one question left. Dear adventurers... Will you heed its call? If your interested in joining please either DM me or leave a comment. :)

A place where outsiders and foreigners alike see prosperity and stability upon meeting its gaze. But beneath its surface lies an underworld ruled not by elected officials or some governing body, but by various gangs and criminal organizations. Ones whose influence touch every corner of the city. The wealthy and powerful have long intermingled their fortunes with organized crime and as a direct result, created a place where favors carry debt, where every street is claimed, and the citizens are caught in the struggle between rival factions vying for control. In a Beneath The Neon Sky campaign, you'll play street level people navigating the dangerous web of gang politics, criminal enterprises, and ever shifting alliances that shape daily life within the city. It doesn't matter if you're chasing money, power, revenge, or just trying to survive another day. You'll quickly learn that the city has two important lessons. There are no heroes. Looking For: 3-5 players for an in-person playtest Location: Millbrook / Prattville / Wetumpka (Montgomery area works too) Play Style: In-person, tabletop, fantasy adventure Experience Needed: None Character Creation: Required (part of the playtest) Schedule: Flexible evenings or weekends System: Original homebrew RPG (not DnD) Description: I’m looking for 3-5 players to help me playtest a fantasy tabletop RPG I’ve been developing. This is an in-person game. I’m in the Millbrook/Prattville/Wetumpka area and can host or meet locally. This is not a DnD variant. It is its own system with custom mechanics, a nine-god cosmology, a dead god cult, and escalating divine threats. The goal of this playtest is to put the system through its paces and see how well character builds hold up in real play. Character creation is part of the test.  You will build your own character using a quickstart packet and a simple text-only sheet. I want to see how intuitive the process is, how players approach builds, and where the system needs refinement. What I’m offering: In-person oneshot or short arc Full character creation session A structured adventure designed to stress-test the rules A GM who has put way too much work into this and wants to put this sombitch through its paces What I’m looking for: Players who enjoy fantasy adventure People willing to give feedback In-person availability in the Millbrook/Prattville/Wetumpka area If you’re interested, message me here on Groupfinder. I’ll send the quickstart rules and character creation info. Thanks, and I hope to roll some dice with you soon.

All lovingly crafted by yours truly and desperate for a playtesting forever home. As you can probably guess from the poster in this campaign you will be a band of bounty hunters making your way across faerun hunting down a wide variety of slippery characters. Will you be honorbound bringers of justice, or profit driven cynics? The choice is yours.
