Hello, I've been playing TTRPGs on and off for about 10 years now. Played with different systems and on different platforms over the years (mostly Pathfinder 2e recently). Don't have a favorite system but hoping to play and learn AD&D, willing to learn and try new games (have a preference for fantasy settings). Timezone is CET and should be free on almost everyday of the week in the evening. Thanks.

Hey there, Have been playing a lot of DnD 5E but have gradually shifted to other systems. My local group is currently playing Mork Borg with me DMing.  Generally I would love to dive deeper into Shadowdark, other Borgs, OSE and into the Odd but open to try all systems.

A 28-year-old male who has been the (mostly) Forever Dungeon Master for a long time, who's now looking to experience the game from the other side of the DM Screen! I've run many campaigns with homebrew settings, items, mechanics, monsters, and even full systems, and it's all been based on a firm foundation of either DND 5E or PF2e, so I'm fairly comfortable with both. I loved both combat and roleplay as a DM, and I don't suspect I will shy away from either as a player, but what excites me most about them respectively are the possibility of consequences (up to and including player character death) and the process of gathering unique friends, allies, enemies, and nemeses that the party goes through. Needless to say, I love me some verisimilitude for both characters and setting, so if that's your jam, I am there for it!  As for my personal tastes surrounding pop culture, I've been a fan of Warcraft ever since I could comprehend how to move a mouse across the screen. Warcraft is my bread and butter, but that doesn't mean I'm not a fan of things like the following (in order of familiarity): Halo, Starcraft, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Warhammer (40K and Fantasy/The Old World), and both Mass Effect & Dragon Age! Ultimately, I just want to create a character, get immersed, and make some friends (both in-game and out) along the way!

I prefer a relaxed roleplaying style that focuses on enjoyment of the game experience over power gaming the system.

Veteran ttrpg player in his 40s, German but living in Poland (I don't think I can play or gm in Polish though) I am mostly interested in OSR-style games, often with a more simulationist bend, but I am willing to get into other genres/styles of play.  I GM an active and regular Labyrinth Lord (OSR) Westmarches style open table game over discord, and also co-GM a Shadowrun3 campaign. I gearing up to restart a Traveller campaign, set up a play-by-post En Garde game, and am dabbling with a few others. I do play in a few other games which are unfortunately a bit less frequent as I would like.  (I don't actually like Warhammer, WFRPG, or the Forgotten Realms all that much, I know that's a bit of a problem in Poland...)

My RPG obsession started when my dad got me into D&D aged five. I've been playing and running ever since. My most recent focus has been designing and running OSR games, but I'd love to get back into the player's seat. I've been captivated by the progression fantasy subgenre lately and am interested in exploring its roleplaying potential. My politics are solidly left-leaning, and I'm thoroughly uninterested in playing with conservatives or bigots of any kind. Likewise for those who use AI content in their gaming. Looking forward to adventuring together!

Hi! All told, I only have about a year of experience playing and GMing, and it's been a looong time, so I'm sure I'm quite rusty. My time zone is CST and my schedule is open. I have no strong preferences when it comes to frequency of sessions, system, or setting. Back when my friends and I actively played, I mostly GMed, using DnD 3.0/3.5, with a little Spycraft on the side. Even though that was years ago, I've never stopped thinking about RPGs, listening to actual play podcasts like The Adventure Zone and Acquisitions, Inc., reading random supplements and forum posts, and playing video games based on tabletop systems/adventures. I love backstory, lore, and worldbuilding and enjoy combat and dungeoncrawling, too. I remember my very first RPG session, when I was a kid, immediately opened my eyes to the creativity and improvisation that the format allows. All I'd done in our first battle was ready my weapon and lightly wound an unlucky bandit... while the far more experienced players of the group spent their first few turns positioning themselves technically, slinging buffs and debuffs, and throwing a tarp over the intimidating-as-hell bandit leader and then setting it ablaze with a torch. I was astounded; I knew I had to have more. The Discworld and Hitchhiker's Guide series of books are dear to me, though I'm down for nearly any fantastical story and setting (much like Pratchett and Adams themselves). Potentially relevant-to-tabletop video game series I've enjoyed are The Witcher, Knights of the Old Republic, Fallout, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, The Elder Scrolls, Divinity, Baldur's Gate, Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft, Legend of Grimrock, and many more. I like to let other players choose their specializations first, so I can try to fill any gaps we have, then build the character's background and motivation from there. That way, everyone who really wants to play a specific role is happy and the group as a whole is well-rounded. Plus, it's just fun to mix things up from game to game, so I've never really had a favorite class, though I do enjoy playing support (gotta have a healer/medic!). If you have the patience to help me shake off the rust and adapt to your setting and system, I'll do as much or as little reading, roleplaying, and rolling as you need. Ugh, this is really starting to sound like a sales pitch, ha ha... sorry. I'll finish by simply saying that I'm excited to meet you and see what adventures you've got brewing!

Hi, I'm a beginner in the world of TTRPG. I've played a few campaigns of Daggerheart and Draw Steel, and a few OSE and DnD one shots. I'm interested into trying more OSE/OSR stuff especially Dolmenwood and Shadowdark, but also Demonic Grimoire OSE.
