Hello! You can refer to me as Grizz or Doom, either nickname works until we get to know each other better. To get the essentials out of the way; My most experiance is in DnD 5e by far with a few campaigns and plenty of characters beneath my belt. I have dabbled a little in Cybperunk Red & Vampire the Masqurade, though not a full game as of yet. I am a detailed and literate roleplayer with eight years experiance with an average post length of one to two paragraphs that can easily adjust according to scene and pacing. I'm hoping to find someone experianced in GURPS to show me the rulset and teach me about that TTRPG. Be it a one shot or a long term campiagn between us - I have heard a lot of stuff relating to GURPS character creation and the sheer amount of veriaty you could make in it. So I'm hoping to learn just how far that rabbit hole goes in how in depth those systems really are. I am open to any type of campaign, Fantasy, Scifi, Modernday, Lovecraftian. Just give me the low down and details on what the game would be.

Long-time player going back to AD&D and Shadowrun 2nd Edition. I’m getting more into the rhythm of GMing and really enjoying it. I tend to be generous with loot, but I’m actively working on balancing rewards and challenge. I have a solid amount of experience with D&D 3.5 and 5e, and I’m familiar with GURPS. I’m also designing my own antiessentialist, leveled point-buy system called UNBOUND, which has given me a deeper understanding of mechanics, balance, and encounter design. I’m willing to learn other systems to facilitate more kinds of games, and I’d also love to play as a regular party member too — not just GM.

Howdy-ho fellow story lovers! I’ve been playing D&D 5/5.5e for the past 5 years or so and am looking to experience other worlds & systems. Open to any systems/genres, including all D&D Editions. Hoping for those with patience as I learn a new system & its rules. I have D&D games Monday/Wednesday nights & Tuesday nights. As such, I’d like to do something on Fridays or Saturdays to spread them out a bit throughout the week, but also open to Thursday. Sunday is a hard no due to other commitments. I’m comfortable with Foundry & regularly use Discord. I also have several sets of dice - too many, really 😅 - so if we don't use a VTT, I should be set there. My availability currently is friday evening/saturday morning most consistently, other days are dependant on my schedule for the week. At the table (whether it's online or in person) I like to be a utility player, and assist the DM with whatever they might need, be that scheduling, recruiting, supplying a Virtual Tabletop to play with or whatever else. I just accept it. Age an ancient, decrepit 44 years of age. Location: Kent, Washington, the PNW! Home of Bridge Trolls (no really), Bigfoot, Glaciers and whimsy! That's the basics, the most basic of basics if you will. What I'm looking for is a very chill group. Like, the vibes need to be on point. We're talking acceptance, whimsy, patience, laughs and a general cheery disposition all around. I need folks who are patient with people who have had a traumatic brain injury (I was introduced to a cement wall at high speeds as a youth). I struggle with nailing down mechanics, it takes a while to really cement them in my head. So I'll often be "Uh...Uh....Uh...*click* is that it?"ing around or "Remiiiiiind me how I...."... I'm also exceedingly awkward and shy around new groups. It's a challenge, the anxiety is real and hasn't abaited in my ADVANCED age. If anything it's gotten worse. Despite being a human of unusual size, I'm soft spoken. It's not you, it's me. But I'll warm up. I value "Rule of Cool" over hard mechanics. Rules are great, but I wanna avoid sitting there awkwardly as folks argue over the fine details. Most importantly, diversity, acceptance and a critical, oh so importance lack of judgement. I'm just a straight CIS dude, but like...come on. Be chill about how others exist yeah? We're all in the world together and arbitrary lines seperating us is just sillyness. Anyways, That's me.

I am someone that enjoys playing character driven and story based game. I'm not really a megadungeon kind of guy. But I do enjoy some combat. Let's say 50:50 RP: combat ratio with it being ok if the roleplay is higher up to 100:0 I am looking for an online weekly table that does something like if a game gets cancelled, they play a one shot or online game instead or something like that, I don't care what, I just want to do something else if game night doesn't go to plan. I am fine with games during my nighttime as well as during the day, you just got to tell me the schedule first to see if I can make it. I am generally unavailable Saturday and Sunday day and Saturday night my time Even though my most played game is DnD, I enjoy playing other systems like Alien the roleplaying Game, Pathfinder and others. Vancouver, BC based forever GM Marty here - I run two weekly GURPS games in a homebrewed 1920s Cthulhu-esque Horror world, so if any Vancouverites are looking for in-person play and can consistently be available weekday evenings I may have a seat at the table for you. Having just retired though, I'm looking to add more gaming goodness to my life - maybe even get to actually play rather than GM! So I'm open to both local in-person and alternate timezone Online groups that equate to mornings/afternoons in PST - e.g. GMT 4pm-midnight-ish. I've been playing since Red Box days, but I found myself just not loving the core concept of D&D in any of its editions - Munchkin scratches any rare itch to kill things and take their stuff! Actual ROLE-playing rather than ROLL-playing is what makes is fun for me - conflict yes, but not necessarily much violence. Investigative games with lots of in-character social skill use are my jam - I've been playing Call of Cthulhu since the 80s, more recently Brindlewood Bay was an absolute joy to discover, and I'm trying out other PbtA games in hopes of finding a similar sort of vibe. On the more traditional Fantasy side of things, I like The One Ring - the Mirkwood campaign especially - mostly because of the 'off camera' between-adventure parts where your PCs really feel part of a community, and Earthdawn (the whole Kaer/Horrors angle gives a strong in-game rationale for dungeon crawls, and ED was doing 'orcs and trolls are just people' literally decades before the Critical Role crew brought that angle into mainstream D&D circles). In general I run Adult but not Smutty games - if they were movies they'd be mostly PG rated, with the odd 15-18 scene: scary, angsty stuff happens, if there's violence I describe it viscerally, cursing is pretty common, but the curtain gets drawn as soon as things get more romantic than would be acceptable in a public place. I have no problem dialling back the limits all the way to G-rated levels though - I've run games of Toon for elementary schoolkids and several 'cosy mystery' style games where the only saucy things that happen involve a stovetop ;-)

iv done tabletop with friends before and always was the GM. i even tried to run my own textbased game but could never keep those alive, people eventually just stopped responding even after multiple reminders its their turn in combat. so im looking to be a player this time instead. im fine with both roll20 and discord text play or a öove gameplay deal over roll 20 or similar sites. the three characters i can for DND offer are: -a kobold demolitionist (comic relief obsessed with explosives. this guy would use a more explosives focused subclass for artificer i found on reddit if thats ok with your game) -a tribal tabaxi guy with spear who moves fast and haresses enemies in melee (this character is very cruel and would be only suited to serious games) -a harengon geomancer (this guy would only use earth and stone themed spells and im partial to reflavoring existing spells as earth ones) for other settings i usually have one character per setting. NOTE: im not interested in character creation involving rolled stats i dont like rng deciding my stats i prefer pointbuy.

Hello all, I am an experienced GM that have been running and playing many types of ttrpgs since the early 80's. I have been running games online for sometime now and am comfortable using several VTTs as well as Discord. I prefer to GM over being a player and have ran a variety of ttrpg systems on- and off- line. When it comes to gaiming, I can be relied on to make the schedule regularly, barring health and some holidays. While I love all sorts of gaming styles, my preferred gaming includes a mix of strong roleplaying and combat. I really enjoy getting into character and experiencing others do the same. I live in the Pacific Time Zone and usually am avaliable during the week for gaming at 4pm or later, Sundays is special as I have a more open schedule from 8 am to midnight. My current preferred games are Marvel Multiverse, 2d20 Infinity, and Warhammer 4th ed (in-order of perference). I might be willing to run other games as well, but the above take priority.

It was just no fun all round. I have played many various types of TTRPG's over my 40yrs of playing RPGs, from D&D to Cyberpunk 2020, GURPS & Judge Dredd. I enjoy light-hearted gaming, as making character based decisions & not being the magnificent unbeatablle hero is the most fun for me. I do play more serious games & campaigns. But tense horror is my least favourite. I AM NEW TO ONLINE TTRPG. This is where I feel the newbie patience may be required. I know the basics of MS Teams. I’ve been gaming a long time. By 15 (in 1995) I was a Games Rep, running demos at conventions. I love TTRPGs, whether player or GM. I just want a table that actually plays. System-wise, I like indie and old-school games, with enough crunch that every character and build feels mechanically unique and satisfying. That said, I’ll play narrative systems too. I care less about the label and more about whether the game does what it claims it does. Tone-wise, I think the best games have a healthy mix of insane hilarity, fantastical impossibility, and the horrors of reality. Just enough to make it feel real before it gets unreal. If it’s all comedy, it’s weightless. If it’s all grim, it’s depressing. I want the mix, on purpose. I’m a professional fiction writer with decades of experience. At the table, this means good improvisation skills and idea generation, as well as a good sense of story hooks and structure. If you’re creative and you communicate, we’ll get on great! One-shots, arcs, or campaigns. GM or player.
