Emberfell - Homebrew D&D 5e Campaign.

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Emberfell — Homebrew D&D 5e Campaign (Roll20, Level 3 Start)System: D&D 5e. Platform: Roll20, with a potential switch to Foundry VTT as sessions progress - voice via Discord. Format: Long-term homebrew campaign, multi-arc. Starting Level: 3 Players Needed: Additional 3 to 4 players. Currently have 1. Beginner-Friendly, no 5e experience required - those with experience will be prioritized. Schedule: Sundays, Weekly/bi-weekly - exact 2/3hr slot to be agreed with the group in advance, weekly, between the hours of 3pm and 9pm. The Pitch: Emberfell is a world that broke and never fully recovered - the sun's been dim since a calamity nobody can fully explain, and nobody living remembers it any other way. You'll start as a hired escort for a noble house's cargo, but a theft in a back alley on your first night out is going to pull you into something much bigger: an exiled angel bargaining with demons, a game piece that shouldn't be as powerful as it is, and a child who isn't supposed to still be alive. Tone: Tone is dark, but not grim-dark - morally grey NPC's, Real consequences, some geniune horror beats, but plenty of room for humor & for player-driven stories to unfold at the (virtual) table. Session 0 covers safety tools, such as safe words, topics a player wouldn't want within the campaign & tone expectations before we start. Looking for: Players who actually want to engage with the plot, NPC's & roleplays. Someone who will show up consistently, and is fine with a slower-burn mystery campaign, rather than pure dungeon crawling. New to 5e format is fine, as long as you actually want to roleplay. Drop a comment or DM if interested - Discord is attached. Add me or shoot me a message, and I'll send over some in-game lore so you can get a feel for the world, followed by a character creation guide (races, tone, what fits the setting) to get your character sorted. Once everyone's set, we'll run an online Session 0 as a group - safety tools, expectations, and a chance to actually meet each other before anything's played out. From there, each of you gets a quick one-to-one Session 0.5: a short solo scene built around your character's own backstory, no other players involved. Session 1 is where the party's characters actually meet each other for the first time. Thanks!!

Sacramento County based group, open to online players. This is a long term campaign. We will go through the campaign books, starting with Out of the Abyss, and likely run some homebrewed stories as well as the characters progress. Homebrew characters are okay, as long as they are balanced and lore-friendly.  I am looking for my Co-DM to help me run my campaign.

The blue gold season - Regency/GoT style game

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
The desert of Uzikistan. The immense piece of land, covered by metallic sands dividing it into the red, black, white, golden and blue desert, it’s only vegetation scattered through the ecosystem, hidden in stone spires and caves or covered over the far forest of the gray leaves. The beasts and spirits of this continent were once wild and dangerous, when the first inhabitants arrived by boat, portal or banished through the tunnels of a long forgotten library. Those days are long gone, higher gardens, palaces, castles, fortresses and cities have risen in the middle of our blessed floor. A few generations have passed since the several houses, courts and tribes of the desert lived through the great wars of Revelation. A time when anima storms obscured the sky and paranormal mists descended upon the world, bringing the powerful Briśind, beings only comparable to spirits or gods. These whispered lies to the desert people, filled their minds with confusion and danger, made them venerate them and initiated fights between each other to steal their resources. Once, the rampant violence that painted the floor with blood and viscera from all the people in the sands birthed the greatest generations of warriors and sorcerers in the world, and it almost killed all of them, burying them in the dirt. The conflict between each seemed to be eternal. Then, Kirs the Kalaktun died. The gentle guard of refugees was missed and with them, the patience of the prince in blue went to hell. Striking the war capital of the djinns, Daan Verdammt of the first devourers forced the war chieftess of iron to surrender, joined their armies and scourged with thunder and vapor their opponents. They united 8 great tribes, houses and courts through strength and wit, then faced the Briśind, vanishing and killing most of them. Ushering a new age of peace for the desert. Their wedding, carefully weaved and planned in the Higher Buttercot Gardens, would be known as the happiest day of the desert, the final nail on the cruel age’s coffin, giving way to a new period, the age of anima flourish and gold filaments. This fateful day brought together every family and faction across the territory, founding the first kingdom of the desert and instilling a new tradition: THE BLUE GOLD SEASON!!! In honor of the magical night of newly weds and to keep the relationships in the Verdammt Kingdom peaceful between tribes and houses, a ball is to be held every 25 years. This party has all kinds of acts and events, rage as nobles in the sweet bohemian ambience of the gardens, search for your better half, or a worse one, if that’s what gives the ick. You go play with the kids, widows and generals, because this might be your new opportunity to raise your status. Just beware of dirty cheaters, this game has the highest stakes of them all and rumors run on their own, who knows what the new wedding of the current princess will entail. Welcome to the game of curses! Hi! My name is Jules. I'm a Mexican GM and I have been playing and directing games for at least 6 years. I have been playing a long term game with a very ruddimentary system I made myself. It was called Tatzelwurm, and the first itterations were really messy. Extremely messy. With time, I have experimented with different types of systems, reaching a point that I am kind of okay with. And I want to playtest it with you! It's going to be a sort of regency/GoT style game, depending on how the group wants it to go, with an approximate number of 10 sessions. Keep in mind that this is an experimental system and some things are not completely balanced. I'll be receptive and mindful of any thoughts you have on it. We'll decide on when to have a session 0 later Here are some importante links: The brief on this small campaign - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ed92uJ4urD7k0d4k39EiSh_3U5h1GNRbXLVL93Z6ui8/edit?tab=t.l5svuzizcvsk The general game doc - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ed92uJ4urD7k0d4k39EiSh_3U5h1GNRbXLVL93Z6ui8/edit?tab=t.0 The form so you can participate - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ed92uJ4urD7k0d4k39EiSh_3U5h1GNRbXLVL93Z6ui8/edit?tab=t.l5svuzizcvsk I can't wait to hear from you!

Welcome to Keocorra! (possible Camapign)

LGBTQ+ friendly LGBTQ+ friendly
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
Hello folks and welcome to my adventurer recruitment! Let’s begin with a quick introduction and summary of my post. You should gain a brief overview of what I’m looking for/offering from the first two sections. I am a bit of a yapper, so the overall post may get a little long, but if you are interested, please read it all. (I will be putting more information on the Discord Server I’ve made for this.) I would like to note that the server is currently at a good amount of people, however I am reopening this with the hopes of having at least someone to possibly fill a slot and hopefully get enough people to run my One Shot for a third group. Games will most likely run on Sundays in the later afternoon based on CET time.  Me: My name is Shay (He/Her/Theirs (any pronouns)). I’m 22 years old and have always been a storyteller. That said, English is not my first language. I do my best and would say I’m fluent, though. I am queer and neurodivergent and a nerd, which is sort of obvious considering this is a ttrpg recruitment site lol. I got some DnD experience recently after years of never having the proper friend group for it. I’ve loved tabletop content for years, and now that I’ve played some, I know I love it. Although playing itself is very fun, I’ve always known the mantle of the DM calls to me. Therefore, I am now a beginner DM, currently working on my own DnD setting.  What I’m looking for: I am looking for players of any skill level that would be interested in connecting, and possibly eventually embarking on a campaign with me. I do not currently have any dming experience, which is why this recruitment is primarily for a One Shot I have written. It is fairly straight forward and should cover the various aspects of DnD (roleplaying, exploring, combat, looting etc). I want to write more One Shots, and through running them, find a group for a campaign. However, you don’t have to be interested in a campaign to play my One Shot :) Rules and Requirements: You must be 18+ to join. You must have a decent microphone and stable Internet. You do not need any prior DnD experiences. Joining the One Shot is not a guarantee of getting into the Campaign: The Campaign will have four players just like each group of the One Shot will. I'm hoping to run the One Shot three times. One Campaign Slot is already filled.  You may make your character sheet on sites such as DnDBeyond or Dicecloud, but you may also make one on paper. Just be sure to send it to me if it’s not through my Campaign link in DnDBeyond. You may roll in any form you want, even with real dice. I will work under the assumptions that you do not alter the results of any rolls I cannot immediately see. You must not use any AI to generate writing or characters. Ideally, you should not use it at all (ever). You may not use preexisting AI art for your character art. I urge you to critically assess any piece of art you use for your characters. (I will provide resources to find non-AI character art). If you use someone else’s art for your character, you must provide credits. Do not be bigoted, hateful or discriminatory in any way. Racism, Ableism, Misogyny, Queerphobia and bullying will not be tolerated. This may sound a little odd, but you must be willing to use non-conventional and/or shifting pronouns. You don’t need to be perfect, but be respectful and willing to learn. (This is also fairly important in game, since I will include genderqueer or genderneutral characters/npcs.) ERP is not allowed in the One Shots and likely won’t be allowed in the Campaign (depends largely on players). While playing, please pay attention, even if it isn’t your turn. More Info on the One Shot: The One Shot has a fairly clear storyline and isn’t set up to have too much room for improvisation as for it’s plot points. Improvisation is an aspect I want to also eventually explore, but for now this is more of a “tutorial” type experience. The various paths and options are prewritten and have a clear line of progression, although what exactly happens and what you chose to do is open! Unfortunately, I can’t let you not accept the quest I have prepared and go explore somewhere else, sorry ^^ Depending on interest, I will probably run the One Shot multiple times, and/or offer up another one if there are people that are interested in being part of a DnD group longterm. This lore of my world isn’t relevant to the One Shot, which does take place in the same world, but approximately 1600 years in the past. This is so the One Shot can already happen while I’m still putting the lore and everything else to paper! All you need to know is in the pitch; although it basically summarizes to “Every kingdom is at war, but that’s not really your problem. You just need to get by.” There is also some information about geography and the overall world on my Server. More Info on a possible Campaign: I will eventually put out some lore of my world on the Discord Server. It will include informations about pretty much everything you need to know: gods, territories, people and everything else I cook up ^^’ As I mentioned before, none of the Campaign lore/information is relevant to the One Shot(s). When it comes to the eventual Campaign, I have a few reference points and ideas what an overarching story could be, but I do also want to have a big focus on the characters in the adventuring party. So what the actual plot of the campaign will be also depends heavily on the groups wants. I am looking to write a more serious story, but there will be room for whimsy and tomfoolery. I will include more existential themes and don’t shy away from things getting dark. However, ahead of a campaign, triggers, topics to avoid and such will be discussed in depth! Once a group has emerged for a campaign, I want to hold a sort of early Session 0 where we all discuss ideas, early character concepts, opinions on possible plot arcs and I will obviously also be there to answer questions! We would probably have a second session 0 to discuss characters, backstories and such closer to when the actual campaign would start. With all this information put out there, I’m hoping the sessions can be weekly or biweekly. I know that is a fairly big commitment, but that’s also why the process before the Campaign is a little longer. I’m not just looking for future players, I’m looking for future friends! Now, onto the actual One Shot Pitch: Short Version: In a world where war rages constantly, you are just a mere commoner wanting to survive. They’re not your battles to be fought, yet in a world where the kingdoms never seizes to be at odds with one another, survival isn’t guaranteed. A local guild offers work for those considering themselves adventurers. You are hire to retrieve a family heirloom from a village that was decimated by a recent battle. While there is no eminent threat or any indications of more battles to happen there, venturing there will still be perilous. Will you find what you’re looking for? Long Version: Keocorra was once a land of peace, or so the elders teach to the youth to give them hope. They have never witnessed such an age. Even among the most long-living species, no one is alive to remember. Not even the Gods recall a time where there was peace. Perhaps it had never existed, alas the world burning was just as constant as the rise and fall of the sun. Like most of Keocorra’s people, you could not be further from the people declaring wars and sending their people to their deaths. No, you are as much of a bystander is your own world as the squirrels who bury their nuts on the battlefield and the birds endlessly fleeing from the sounds of battle. Perhaps, like them, you only wish to survive. Or perhaps you wish to help those around you; The fellow bystanders hoping not to end as collateral damage. The Plunderers Guild offers such opportunities. It is perhaps the lands first ever legal criminal organization, based on a technicality of local law no one has the time to adjust: Stealing isn’t legal in any of the kingdoms, of course. That’s clear enough, yet it doesn’t account for a technicality. While a conflict between two kingdoms is in effect, the disputed area, and wherever battles are fought, seizes to belong to anyone. You cannot steal something that doesn’t belong to anyone. “Plundering” describes the act of taking things from battlefields, yet it doesn’t actually qualify as stealing. The things you’re taking don’t legally belong to anyone. Now, it is illegal to be on these battlefields without a valid reason. Aside from being there for battle, there have never been valid reasons…until now. Timore, a kingdom towards the center of the continent, has been steadily losing land as they are fighting battles with kingdoms all around them. While treaties are being drafted, people are still losing their homes in order to have more space to battle. Under pressure from its people, the crown declared that any of its citizens may enter the battlefield if their former homes are now in the no-mans-land. This is where a very witty band of former criminals founded the Plunderer’s guild. Most common folk don’t have the courage or skill to enter the battlefield and return alive, yet, if they have the coin, they can pay someone to go in their place. The guild has strict guidelines and code of conduct, although not everyone follows those rules and how much they are enforced depends on which hub you are hired through. You are hired by the Plunderer’s Guild closest to the Eastern Border of Timore where battle rages with the Elven empire of Turve. Located in the town of Dolion, this hub of the guild is run by a Goliath know as “Ghun”. You are summoned to receive further instructions for your retrieval quest from him at the “Plunderer’s Tavern” at noon. How to join: Now that you have read everything, you may message me on here or directly on Discord @ “jaycy336”. Wherever you message me, please include your name, age, pronouns, experience level and what sparked your interest. I will then ask you some more questions and possibly request to briefly call so I can check your microphone.

The Legends of Arithea

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Hello and welcome to the world of Arithea! Arithea is a world where gods walk among the people, magic is everywhere, and the stars are alive with knowledge of the past. The year is 3999 AR, just before the elder gods return to the mortal plane for the thousand year festival. It should be a time for celebration, but something dark is brewing. There’s whispers about a dangerous magic that turns people mad and tensions growing in the south of the realm. Not that those whispers concern you, of course. After all, you’ve found yourself in the kingdom of Eridia, a place known for its peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. Regardless of how or why you came here, you’re here now, and you have received a mysterious letter signed by the head of the Queen’s guard requesting your help. This is where our story begins. ——————————————————— I’m a 21 year old experienced player (but new dm) that has created an entirely home brew world to run this game in. My big inspirations are Percy Jackson, Studio Ghibli, Genshin Impact, and the podcast Malevolent, though that one doesn’t translate as well as the others since my world isn’t horror. I’m a big fan of whimsy and the rule of cool, so if you’ve got a wacky character idea, this might just be the place for you! I really want to go into depth about your backstory and make you care about not only your character, but the group as a whole. This will be a very rp focused game, with very little but meaningful combat. I plan for it to be mostly serious in terms of tone, but I am also not going to shy away from the occasional ridiculous side quest or silly bit. I will warn you now that I can’t really do voices and accents for the life of me, but I’m going to try my best. I don’t know exactly when this game will start because it will depend on how quickly I find players, but I’m hoping for late August or September. I plan for this to be a very long term game, so please only apply if you’re going to be in it for the long haul. We will be starting with every other week, but we may switch to every week once I get a hang of prepping for/running sessions. ——————————————————— Ground rules: 18+ only. Please be safe on the internet you guys. No AI in any form. No bigotry of any kind. We will be using d&d 5e 2014 rules. I’m also open to homebrew stuff, but you have to ask me first. New players are 100% welcome! You don’t need to have any experience at all with anything d&d, all I ask is that you show up and try your best. I’m totally willing to help you figure it out! I am a new DM. This is the first game I am running ever. There will inevitably be hiccups and mistakes but such is life. If you’re looking for a super polished game, this probably isn’t the one for you, but I have hope that we’ll still have fun, everyone starts somewhere and I’m excited to start here! If everything above sounds good to you, then please fill out the form I made and I will message you with more information if I think you’d be a good fit! No politics of any kind: right, left, sexuality, real world religions, excessive feminism/whatever etc not allowed, if you have a need to make a fuss about that, you will be kicked out. It's perfectly fine to have those views, but don't bring them to the game (this is meant to be fun, social, intellectually challenging). If you have major psych problems that get in the way of simple social interaction (explosive outbursts etc) don't contact me. I do ask for telephone number just in case of you not showing up to game and you didn't tell me otherwise. Emergency stuff, like if you get sick or something. I do care about my players! 1 Give me warning 24 hours before the game if you are gonna cancel. I need the time to tell the others and cancel the game if I don't have enough people to play. This is non negotiable! 2 Play well with others. If you are too disruptive, I will boot you after several warnings. 3 Take a different role each new campaign. Try new things! 4 You have to show up to play 75% of the time. If you cancel too many times, there's no point to having you in the group. 5 Sometimes you will be required to take a role you don't really want because the rest of the group made their picks already, this is meant to help the group have versatility. If this happens, the next campaign I will make sure you get first pick as to your role/class. 6 If you have to make sacrifices for the group, like blowing feats on item crafting etc, I will try to send good things your way. Teamwork is important. I have been GMing since 1997 or so, cut my gaming teeth on AD&D first ed. I go above and beyond for my players. I am very adept at teaching, btw. This campaign is on Mondays at 6pm Central time Discord video chat, but we could change time/day if the other players are willing and able. Set in Chicago, I've added abilities to the NPCs to support their discipline powers, and set the whole timeline from Chicago 1 to 2 and beyond more gradually, changed who lives. Note that I have changed some of the clans a bit, like switched Gangrel and City Gangrel, turned certain Brujah into True Brujah, a Ventrue into a Nosferatu, that sort of thing. I had to make tiny changes to V20 to make it simpler, faster. Like Celerity, Fortitude, Potence. Also I don't use abilities like Awareness, Larceny, and I kept the damn Linguistics, Dodge as they are needed. That kind of thing. I even have combat rounds with meaningful character range when I gotta be aware of the local terrain/number of villains etc (minatures rules). The Giovanni I replaced with Cappadocians and Lamia, as the Giovanni were megalomaniacs and incompetent besides, plus they don't seem to be at all relevant to any setting (there are ghosts in Chicago note). The Ravnos I replaced as being totally divorced from the rest of the game, they don't have any influence, and seem to exist solely for troublemaking players. So, they got booted in favor of the Salubri, who actually ARE useful from a GM's perspective, they curb the worst excesses of Cainites. Finally, I outright replaced all Setites with Baali, the latter are a much better written, and much more competent version of the Setites' Lovecraftian "I wanna bring demons into the world" schtick.  I noticed that if you played the Sabbat as written, they'd be wiped out entirely by werewolves, human hunters, and the Camarilla long ago. Worse, if they somehow managed to survive, they'd be discovered as vampires by humanity BECAUSE of their silly anti masquerade antics. On top of that, eating one's elders is a bad idea. All the Sabbat had was neonates and super buff elders, nothing in between. That means their stated purpose was a shambles. I changed their purpose to (eliminating the focus on fighting clan founders) dominating humanity, making humans into slaves. The Black Hand has been subsumed into the Sabbat as a whole. Vampire has characters that are difficult to create if you don't know how the numbers and discipline powers work (you distribute dots, there are no classes, so you need to make the character with my help so that you get the most potency possible for what you tell me you want to do). However the game play dice mechanics/rules are easy as heck. The hard part is that it demands more forethought to play, because there's a lot of deceptive NPCs, including your own. It is oddly more ethical/moral than medieval fantasy games by far, even though you don't play a hero normally, and even though you're a vampire feeding on humans and aren't human yourself. It's darker I suppose, lots of intrigue and figuring out what is really going on. Kinda like watching Babylon 5 or Dune, you have to take notes to recall everything that could be vital later. A LOT less combat than medieval fantasy games! It's rare, but nasty when it does occur. Maturity is advised. Note that I broke my campaign down in a timeline, it can be altered yes by PC actions, even down to the year and month.  VERY DETAILED homebrew campaign that can be changed given PC choices. RIght now they are in late 1990, you will get the PC's average xp to start with, along with a host of extra little benefits outside what the creation rules normally grant. You dictate the parameters, I figure out how to make the mechanics do what you want and tell you about potential problems, and I pick out flaws so as to give you your own story arc. In general you will be making your PC on video chat with me, so that I can make sure you get all the benefits coming to you.  Official list of clans/bloodlines you can take in Chicago compatible with the group as it is: Nosferatu (must take Dark Fate flaw), Toreador, Ventrue, Brujah, Gangrel (Sabbat), Malkavian, City Gangrel (Camarilla), Tzimisce (must take the Dark Fate flaw), Gargoyle, Caitiff (Anarch typically), Assamite (Milwaukee Sabbat), True Brujah. The Dark Fate flaw means that your PC is destined to die by Antedilivuan during the end of the world. That doesn't mean you can't play, you can still run other characters even after your main one croaks. Obscure list (you can take them if you want, but you won't have support from fellow clan members in Chicago): Daughter of Cacophony, Nagarajah, Salubri (Warrior and very Camarilla), Lamia.  Got a Cappadocian (a hospital morgue doctor), Salubri (one healer(an FBI agent), one watcher (a homicide Chicago police detective), and Lasombra (an amateur boxer and criminal lawyer, he wants to go Camarilla). I have set up each pc to have fast growth, to have really good rolls for their disciplines right away. You gotta also pay for mentor ratings since you need a teacher to increase your disciplines outside of Celerity, Fortitude, Potence. If you pick from the obscure list, you can BUY up to 7th generation, but you blow 6 background dots to pull it off.  Caitiff are interesting, I made them able to teach ANY discipline they learn; normally the 13 clans can only teach their clan disciplines. A Tzimisce who goes Camarilla eventually has huge story potential, and could aid the group extensively via Vicissitude, Koldunism (need a level 3 ritual late in the campaign), and Animalism to hose over werewolves and aid the party vs frenzy. Brujah, Toreador, Ventrue, True Brujah, and the healer version of Salubri, all have clan access to Presence, and level 3 of that power requires Appearance being high, so a PC could be quite the entrepreneur among vampires and humans (note that the porn Hollywood, prostitution, and music industry would be lucrative)..... A Tremere is possible, but you'd need to be a diehard Anarch (meaning the local Tremere want your keister dead, although good news for you that the Chicago ones are less than competent). At the moment, the only Discipline nobody has clan access to is Celerity, but there's a lot of clan proprietary powers that nobody has. There is a 5 pt merit that allows you to buy an additional clan discipline, by the way, and in my version of Celerity you need lots of Wits, but nowhere near as much vitae points. If you don't know the clans, I can give you information but you will need the V20 core rulebook (learning the setting and abilities but not the disciplines), the dark ages core rulebook (mostly just for the super powers/disciplines), tome of secrets (all forms of vampire magic, even obtenebration), and Erciyes Fragments (this will feature heavily in the campaign, its the Vampire bible of sorts including prophecies) books. Also a total of 20 d10's, basically two matched sets of 10 d10's, but the 2 sets cannot match each other. Preferably translucent dice, not solid. Chuck out any that have bubbles inside. The Guide to the Camarilla from the Revised edition might be handy, but not strictly necessary. Prince's Primer is nice for understanding elder vampires' mindset.

Playtesting a fantasy tabletop system

Homebrew Homebrew
Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
TALES From the Loom is a system I've been working on for a few years. The setting is high fantasy with some sci-fi elements sprinkled in. I run free playtesting sessions for groups ranging from 2-6 players, typically for 2-3 hours. The game is pretty quick to learn, promise! Sessions are first come first serve and generally scheduled 1 week ahead of time. Joining the campaign here will let me know you'd like in and I'll send you a DM with some more information! If you enjoy games like: Ironsworn, D&D, Mausritter, Daggerheart or Dragonbane, you may find TFTL compelling! Hope to see you at the table soon! Heres a brief explanation of the core of the system and how it functions: Every roll in TALES is made with a dice pool of D6’s, the number of dice in the pool is noted by the number before the letter “D” e.g., 3D=3d6 You'll roll a pool of dice equal to a skill, and count how many dice show a 4 or higher in most cases. Disadvantage and advantage are represented by lowering or raising the number that counts as a success, either 3 ups or 5 ups. This is heroic fantasy, there's magic, capable heros and in general, good triumphs over evil. Though I will caveat this by saying tftl is much more lethal than other heroic fantasy games, most starting characters have about 2-5 Wounds (hit points or health) and in general most basic attacks inflict 1 Wound, when things go wrong in a fight, they go wrong very fast, for either party, what decides who lives and who doesnt is the dice and your own buy in to the fiction. TFTL rewards player engagment and invenstment in their characters inner life, there are a few systems that support this: -The narrative bonus is a +1 dice to +3 dice bonus that the GM awards you for engaging with the fiction, using clever tactics, and roleplaying your character honestly. You get it by describing actions, using your  characters personality, and backstory in roleplay, and through situational advantages like having the high ground. The reflections system is a journaling mechanic that rewards players for putting themselves in their characters head. After a session, during downtime in game, or whenever the urge arises, you roll on a prompt table and answer the prompt from your characters perspective. Then once you show the GM you get a +1 Dice bonus to any roll outside of combat in the next session. Exploration is a two sided mechanic, first you gather "discovery threads" in town, gathering rumors, studying old texts and maps or bribing locals for information about your current area. When your party ventures into unknown wilds, you can spend your gathered threads to make finding landmarks and mysteries easier, and the best part? You can level up by engaging with this mechanic, without ever drawing a blade or casting a spell. Theres a reputation system, crafting, lightning fast gridless combat, and more to explore within TALES From the Loom! So I hope you'll sign on for a free game, and come tell a tale or two at my table.

Levels 1–3 | Play-by-Post | 2 Sessions | Gothic Horror | D&D 5.5e The mist rolled in without warning. A manor appeared through the fog — warm light in the windows, smoke from the chimney. It looked like shelter. It looked like safety. It was neither. Count's Manor is the dark, atmospheric introduction to Legends of Barovia — an expanded and enriched version of the legendary Curse of Strahd campaign. In two sessions, you will explore a haunted estate layered with tragedy, uncover the horror lurking inside, and face your first foe. Characters begin at level 1 and will reach level 3 by the end — if they survive. Dragon Ball: Millennium

Homebrew Homebrew
Adult Adult
Schedule Sessions run Fridays from 5pm to 11pm CST over Discord VC, with most sessions landing somewhere in the 3 to 4 hour range. There's no official start date yet since I want to take the time to find the right players first. This is meant to be a long-term campaign. System The game is built primarily on 2014 rules, with 2024 rules pulled in wherever they're cleaner or simply work better. Everyone plays the homebrew Martial Artist class, which sounds restrictive at first but actually gives a lot of room to build the character you want. Combat, rolls, and character sheets all run through Roll20. The homebrew module can be found here. Tone The story starts out grounded, much like early Dragon Ball, and slowly builds toward the higher stakes of DBZ as the campaign progresses. There will even come a point where the players will leave Earth itself possibly.... Setting The campaign takes place on Earth in the year 1000, right as the 100th World Martial Arts Tournament arrives. It's centuries after the era of the Z-Fighters, but their influence still echoes through the universes. Vegeta and Trunks visit the Saiyans in Universe 6. Defending Planet Sadala from Champa and brings the planet to Universe 7, in doing so, reviving a more heroic version of the Saiyan race. Say Goku on the last question in the application to prove you've read this much. Goku and Vegteta at their absolute peak finally end Frieza's empire of terror. Ending it has the side effects of not only freeing previously dominated planets but with the new vacuum of power an age of space piracy has begun leading to an ever increasing need for newer and stronger heroes. What I'm looking for Ideally, experienced players within both D&D 5e and RP, from a NA timezone, and at least 18 and up in age. If you're not as experienced in the system but really like Dragon Ball and really want to play then I'm willing to work with you and make sure you don't fall behind. If this sounds like your kind of game, you can apply here, and I'll reach out on Discord to set up a short VC interview. Looking forward to reading your applications! Also if the hyper links don't work please let me know!

Traitor's Hymn Campaign

Combat focused Combat focused
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Hello Everyone; At this time I'm doing an interest check for a possible up and coming Warhammer 40,000 RPG game using the Wrath & Glory system, specifically the Traitor's Hymn starter set. This would be my very first time engaging with the system, so forewarning for those interested, they may be dealing with a consistent review of information and determination! About the Gamemaster The important part that everyone wants to know (excluding the game information itself!), is who am I - the Gamemaster! A bit about me; I'm a middle aged individual with a small family, living in a rural area who enjoys roleplaying games. I've been engaged in various forms of roleplay - from small play-by-post forum communities, to D&D and tabletop roleplaying games - for well over two decades now, mostly as a gamemaster. I enjoy guiding new players into the experience, and have hosted various campaigns across different modules and systems. For the most part my experience lies in D&D5e (2014), however I have dabbled in alternative systems (i.e. Genesys, Shadow of the Beanstalk, LANCER, and others). I tend to lean towards realistic, gritty and dark play styles, though I do like working within the comfort of the group as a whole. As such, pre-play conversation regarding limitations of topics, content and other material is a must in my general experience. In addition, perhaps as a weirdness of my own personality, I do tend to look for groups that are highly active inside and outside the tabletop experience itself. Conversation beyond just the in-game time is a great aspect, and I find it makes everything more enjoyable! About the Game Now for the part everyone cares to hear about in depth! Game System: Warhammer 40k Wrath & Glory, Traitor's Hymn Starter Adventure. Game Time: Friday or Saturday evenings, between 18:30 hours and 22:00 hours Mountain Daylight Time. Player Count: 3-5 players. *Preference will be placed towards those with no or limited experience with roleplay, or the Wrath & Glory system.* Content Notices: Dark and Gritty gameplay, violence & gore, dark themes (non-sexual in nature). Location: Discord (Voice & Chat), Virtual Tabletop System (TBD). Important Notes At this time I am looking to obtain insight into interest, so if not enough players sign up, the game (obviously) won't be running. I will attempt to answer any & all questions potential players may have, however time is definitely a luxury, so responses may not be immediate. Please do not sign up if you are not invested in putting in the time, effort and engagement to play. I am looking to run this weekly or bi-weekly depending on availability, and while I understand that some sessions will need to be cancelled, rescheduled or outright missed, this should not be a common occurrence. Players must be 18 years of age or older. While I am happy to hear about younger folks joining the game, this will be an adult table, and should only contain legal adults. Submit Application If you are interested, please submit an application through the associated application process. At this time I am hoping to have the application officially close by August 31, 2026. Applicants will be contacted if they appear to be a good fit, and will receive contact by the aforementioned closure date if selected. Thank you for your interest; Wolfie<>

Blood & Heraldry - A Gothic Sword & Sorcery Campai

Homebrew Homebrew
Adult Adult
Blood & Heraldry is a long-form D&D campaign set in the Sixfold Dominion, a fractured realm built from the corpse of a fallen empire. Expect old-school fantasy, folklore, mythic tragedy, political intrigue, and gothic horror in a world where peace is fragile and fraying at the edges, and ancient enemies are beginning to stir. Campaign Details System: D&D 5e using the 2024 ruleset as our mechanical baseline. Legacy Content: Characters may discover and learn select 2014-era spells and feats through play, rather than simply taking them during character creation. Levels: We begin at Level 3 and are aiming for Level 17, potentially reaching Level 20 if the campaign naturally carries us there. Campaign Length: Expect roughly one year of play, potentially a little longer depending on pacing and where the story takes us. And if people are having fun. VTT: We will be playing through Foundry, with Discord used for voice and campaign communication. Session 0: It'll be all about character creation. If anyone needs help learning Foundry, we'll do that as well. Hybrid voice/text. Expect most of NPC dialogue / scene exposition to be in text in Foundry. Voice will largely be for communicating between the party, asking what you all would like to do, that sort of thing. Looking for a party of Five. The Premise Centuries ago, the Volatilis Empire brought Aurelys beneath the heel of vampires, until the warrior Seru descended from the moon and united the survivors against them. Seru forged the Combine Empire, only to be assassinated ten years later; without him, his empire shattered into the six nations now called the Sixfold Dominion. 240 years later, Seru's Peace technically survives, but the Six Lords sharpen their knives, old grudges return to the fore, and the ancient Coterie quietly rebuilds its strength. You enter this world as members of a House whose future you will shape; who you trust, betray, befriend, and destroy may determine whether your House rises with the coming storm... or disappears beneath it. Tone & Style This is primarily Sword & Sorcery, mixing personal stakes and frequent action with elements of high fantasy and gothic horror. Think folklore, Tolkien, mythic tragedy, faded glory, and gothic elegy rather than clean-cut heroic fantasy. Political intrigue, scheming, alliances, betrayals, and faction play are available in abundance, but how deeply you engage with them is largely your choice. We'll shift things around based on what the players seem to enjoy. Your ambitions matter: the campaign's larger mysteries will continue moving, but your relationships, enemies, loyalties, and decisions will shape the future of the Dominion, and whether or not it reforms as the Combine. The Sixfold Dominion Duskwold: Mist-choked forests and mountains inspired by Slavic folklore, where witch hunters, haphazard militias, and monster slayers guard downtrodden villages, and reject aid from the Church for fear of their expansion. Quetzalcan: Jungle highlands inspired by Central American mythology, where the old gods increasingly clash with the Church. Ashenroot: Frozen forests beneath the colossal World Oak, steeped in Germanic/Norse-inspired mythology. Expect a strong warrior culture and probably more mead than appropriate. The Aegis Coast: Hellenic-inspired city-states of philosophers, duelists, hero cults, and a shroud of sorrow overlooking the heart of the former vampire empire. Also, big monsters. The Whirling Steppe: Golden grasslands, caravans, mystics, merchant princes, and clan politics drawing from Anatolian/Turkish mysticism. .. And flying carpets. Surynavath: An Indian-epic inspired realm of jungle rivers and ancient animal spirits, now ruled by a Rakshasa Fiend-King who has declared himself the one true god. Faith, Magic & Factions Magic is ancient, powerful, and politically complicated; depending upon where you travel, a mage might be a respected advisor, spiritual leader, dangerous heretic, or government property. The Church of the Inquisitor teaches that Seru will someday return to save mortalkind, collecting gold, iron, and people as a tithe while preparing for his promised return. The Crimson Veil crosses borders to care for the wounded, grieving, orphaned, and forgotten when governments and churches will not. The Black Rosary Brotherhood are wandering exorcists and monster hunters who answer to neither throne nor altar. What Kind of Characters Fit? Characters with ambitions, loyalties, grudges, beliefs, family ties, or something they want to change about the world will have plenty to work with. The Dominion is culturally diverse, so characters can come from dramatically different traditions while still belonging naturally within the same setting. Your backstory doesn't need to be a novel; I'd much rather have a character with motivations I can pull into the campaign than ten pages of history that never becomes relevant. Expect to have a character that is a scion or member of one of the six noble houses, descendants of the six adventurers that traveled into the darkness to expunge the beating heart of the Volatilis Empire. None of the houses have much wealth or glory left to their names, however. Most importantly, make someone who wants to adventure and has a reason to work with the party - complicated characters are welcome, antisocial characters who refuse to engage are not. Seriously, we don't do the whole 'Strider broods in the corner' thing. What to Expect Player choices with lasting consequences. Frequent combat, exploration, monsters, and adventure. Roleplay, faction politics, intrigue, and social maneuvering. Character-driven stories woven into the larger campaign. Ancient ruins, forbidden magic, religious conflict, vampires, and things considerably worse than vampires. A world where you are not just a bystander watching the setting's history; you are helping write what happens next. Seru will return. Will you be worthy? If you think so, send me a DM and we'll talk.

Long before the rise of Megatron, Cybertron was already a world on the brink of collapse. Its people were divided by an unforgiving caste system, one that determined a Cybertronian's purpose from the moment they came online. At the top stood the privileged elite—administrators, scientists, military commanders, and nobles—constructed for positions of influence and authority. Beneath them labored countless worker drones, miners, laborers, and industrial bots, engineered to perform the endless, thankless tasks that kept Cybertron alive. To those born into the lower castes, freedom was nothing more than a myth. Many spent their entire existence toiling in the depths of Energon mines, assembly foundries, and toxic industrial sectors, their sparks treated as expendable resources. Those deemed unfortunate enough were dragged from the mines and forced into gladiatorial arenas, where they fought to the death for the amusement of Cybertron's ruling class. Overseeing this oppressive society were the Quintessons and the Primes they installed to maintain order. They upheld the illusion of peace while ensuring the hierarchy remained unchallenged. For millions of stellar cycles, dissent was crushed before it could become revolution. But oppression inevitably breeds rebellion. Eventually, a miner named Megatronus rose from the depths. Once an ordinary labor drone who knew only hardship and injustice, he became the voice of the forgotten. His dream began as one of equality—a Cybertron where every bot, regardless of function or origin, could choose their own destiny. Yet power has a way of corrupting even the noblest ideals. As the revolution grew, Megatron abandoned the principles that had inspired it. What began as liberation became conquest, and the freedom he promised was replaced with fear, domination, and endless war. Now, none of that history can be changed. You were forged into the consequences of those choices. Cybertron burns beneath the weight of a conflict that has consumed generations. Cities lie in ruin, Energon grows scarce, and every spark is forced to choose a side—or struggle to survive between them. This is no longer the story of how the war began. This is the story of those who must endure it. Welcome to the War for Cybertron.

The Missing Scion of House Mahenzal

Setup Hey y'all, I'm looking for four players to join a homebrew 5e campaign I'm starting on Saturday, August 22 at 4pm CST. I'm looking to start the game on a biweekly cadence with flexibility according to everyone's schedules. We'll be using Foundry for our VTT and Discord for voice chat. Beginners are welcome, as are members of the LGBTQ+ community. 18+ only. If you're interested in joining the campaign, please respond in a comment or a DM with the following info: - Years of experience with 5e, or with tabletop - Order of preference for: a) combat, b) exploration, c) roleplay Expectations Saturday the 22nd will be a Session 0 where I'll dive into more detail with everything I mention in this section. That being said: - Plan on sticking to character creation choices available in WoTC source material - Preconceived character ideas are welcome - just try to keep details vague until session 0 so we can ground your character in the world - Zero tolerance for the following:     - Hate of any kind towards players or GM     - NSFW roleplay. I generally stick to a "fade to black" approach on the details of romances     - PvP or griefing - Groundless or unwarranted party conflict is not welcome, regardless of your alignment. This does not mean you aren't allowed to disagree in a moral dilemma. It means that you shouldn't assassinate the quest-giving NPC because you wrote your character is compelled to fulfill a blood oath to a reality-warping demon god. This isn't a single player game. - I do expect voice chat and encourage dialogue-driven roleplay as opposed to narrator-style roleplay e.g. Can Sally Saddleback hear me? "Eat an owlbear's dick for all I care" instead of My character tells off Sally Saddleback - I'm a 5e boomer, meaning I know 2014 like the back of my hand and I know less about 2024. I'm not banning 2024 content, I just ask for patience with mechanics that might be more obscure to me. - I do my best to set the stage for a story that we all share in and have fun with. So while I do tend towards a darker, more serious tone and incorporate a good amount of horror in my campaigns, this isn't to say that humor and laughter is banned. Just please be cognizant of the narrative vibe at any given point in time. - Though this has been referenced in other points, I always like to explicitly say that I avoid sexual content as a GM. Also, since I do incorporate a good deal of darker themes and horror elements, I ask players to please share triggers that I should avoid. I will do everything in my power to accommodate reasonable requests The Campaign Though their toil saw to the construction of towering spires and awe-inspiring cathedrals, the Ungifted groan under the thumb of society. Rumor has it an insidious plague creeps upon those both literally and figuratively at the fringes of society across Onaros. And all the while, the young scion of a noble House of the Idrytis Arcanum has gone missing. You could have gone about your business, but something prompted you to do something when you saw the notice offering a reward for information on a young man dressed too well to be staying at Grey Hook Hall. You only saw him in passing, but you ought to do the right thing and help a family looking for their missing son, right? Or maybe what caught your eye was the 500 gold reward, but still! Thanks for reading this far. I look forward to getting this campaign started and wish y'all the best of luck both in and out of game.

AVATAR: THE SEVERED AGE "They told us the elements were sacred. Then they put a price on them, a chip in your skull, and a payment plan on your soul." The Premise Korra has been dead for three years. In the decades before her death, the Spirit Portal in Republic City stopped being a miracle and became an energy source. Spirit vines spread through the city's foundations, rail lines, power grid... and eventually into people. Engineers learned to route chi through circuitry. Ripperdocs learned to graft it into flesh. What should have taken a century took thirty years. The world woke up neon. Today, anyone with enough money or enough debt can buy bending. A non-bender walks into a corporate storefront, signs a financing contract for a Chi Emulator, and walks out throwing fire like a Fire Nation soldier. The Equalist dream came true. Not through revolution. Through retail. Every implant comes with a hidden cost. The more chrome you install, the quieter your own chi becomes. Benders slowly lose their connection to the elements until, eventually, they become Severed. No spirits. No bending. No way back... at least, that's what everyone believes. Meanwhile, somewhere in the world is an Earth Kingdom child who should have become the next Avatar. They are three years old. No one has found them. The White Lotus has searched for years without success. Some believe the child was born spirit-deaf. Others whisper a corporation found them first and is quietly discovering what an Avatar's soul is worth. Some fear the Avatar Cycle itself is breaking. Everyone is searching for the same missing child. You'll either find them first... ...or discover why no one else ever could. What You Can Play: A traditional bender trying to preserve a dying art. A Severed ex-bender willing to burn the world to reclaim their element. A Ghost, projecting their spirit into the digital Weave where something ancient may already be waiting. A ripperdoc, fixer, mercenary, or corporate Emulator runner drowning in debt. An Air Nomad who has rejected cybernetics entirely, remaining one of the few souls still fully connected to the spirits and uniquely capable of healing what technology has stolen. Themes: Cyberpunk noir Corporate corruption Spiritual horror Identity and humanity The price of progress Hope in a broken world This is a campaign about difficult choices with permanent consequences. Expect street-level jobs, corporate conspiracies, spirits hiding in fiber-optic cables, desperate people trying to reclaim what they've lost, and quiet moments between the action that remind everyone what's worth fighting for. The central question is simple: What are you willing to trade away... and can you ever get it back? System: Savage Worlds Adventure Edition (custom Avatar conversion) No prior Savage Worlds experience required. No Avatar knowledge required. All rules and setting information will be provided. The game is fast, cinematic, beginner-friendly, and focused on character-driven storytelling. "Chrome is easy to buy. Getting your soul back takes a lot longer." This game costs $20 per session

Welcome to ODIN, the Order of Dimensional Intelligence and Neutralization. You are a Judicar, an elite field agent assigned to a special team known as a Vanguard. Your missions will take you across the last surviving planet in the universe, where you will investigate, document, contain, or neutralize dangerous anomalies. How you handle each anomaly is entirely up to you. Study it. Negotiate with it. Contain it. Destroy it. Taste it to see if it has a chocolate flavor. Accidentally make everything worse. ODIN trusts your judgment. Usually. Think the SCP universe meets D&D 5e, with fantasy, science fiction, eldritch horror, firearms, strange investigations, and occasional chaos. ALSO: You have a plant scorpion turtle cat as your companion. So you know the level of weird you can expect. Session Details: Beginner friendly Biweekly on Sundays 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Eastern Time Approximately 3.5 to 4 hours per session Discord for voice Foundry VTT for maps, combat, and gameplay Approximately 60% roleplay and 40% combat POC and LGBTQ+ friendly English will be used during the game, but banter in other languages is welcome. Players must be 25 or older because of the mature themes. But happy for someone to join who is 21+ so long as they are aware of the themes and ideas. Genres include fantasy, science fiction, horror (eldritch and cosmic - so consider that a warning), comedy Campaign requirements (the boring, but vital stuff): Be friendly, reliable, and invested in the campaign and its story. Respect everyone at the table. Hate speech, discrimination, harassment, or privately messaging other players without their permission will not be tolerated. There will be no second chances for serious violations. Campaign features (the fun stuff): You can create almost any kind of character. A vampire elf? A werewolf artificer? A gun-toting raccoon with unresolved emotional problems (essentially Rocket Raccoon). Yes, you can. Just discuss your concept with me first so I can approve it (and it doesn't read like a God/Super Saiyan character). There are guns. Pistols, revolvers, sniper rifles. Plasma gun. Also, gun modifications. Hey, it's the future. Classes and subclasses? Sheeeee. There's a lot of them (Mystic is already taken though).

A capsule campaign of 5-6 sessions  $25 weekly Every October, the hillsides above Cindervale catch fire with autumn color. The Last Sheaf Festival brings the whole town home for nine days of harvest markets, cider, and the great bonfire where the season's final sheaf is burned in thanks for the year that's ending. It's the kind of tradition that feels like it could hold a world together. It can. It has been. For three hundred years. You are of the Chancery: former soldiers of the void who once fought to unmake Creation itself, and then, for reasons you may not fully understand, stopped. You are still dying of a strange, personal bane that's killing you. You still can't quite pass for human, but you're imbued with powers to remake the world in a variety of ways. In this postcard mountain town, you have noticed what no god, spirit, or power is capable of seeing: the festival is a ritual, the ritual is starving, and something underneath the valley is beginning to wake up. Your characters are Excrucians: beings living with the fact that the world is fundamentally, structurally (cosmically) wrong, and deciding what is still worth caring for. This game is styled as an existential, cozy folk-horror and a low-combat game of investigation and town drama. Glitch is a diceless and conversation-driven system, driven by spotlight events and attribute point spends/accumulations. It relies heavily on imagination, creativity, existential philosophy, ambiguity and collaboration.

Your firm specializes in the underhanded tactics that win cases: tampering with evidence, threatening witnesses, corrupting juries, and delivering theatrical courtroom performances that would make any Silkshore actor jealous. Whether you're defending gangsters from Ironhook Prison, prosecuting high-profile criminals, or navigating inheritance disputes in the spectral Ghost Court, you'll use flashbacks, heists, and social manipulation to stack the deck in your favor before the magistrate bangs their gavel. Each session centers around a case, with the courtroom serving as your battleground. You'll roll engagement, present evidence (real or fabricated), cross-examine witnesses, and use competing clocks to determine who wins. Between arguments, you'll flash back to key moments: breaking into a records office, convincing a witness to change their testimony, or planting incriminating documents in your opponent's files. This game is perfect for players who enjoy social intrigue, creative problem-solving, and morally gray characters. If you like courtroom dramas, heist movies, and the dark Victorian aesthetic of Blades in the Dark, you'll feel right at home. We'll embrace the game's mechanics of flashbacks, devil's bargains, and collaborative worldbuilding to create memorable legal battles where the truth is whatever you can make the jury believe. Come prepared for sharp wit, dirty tricks, and the satisfaction of winning cases through cunning rather than justice.

Throne of Solaris

The Throne of Solaris The golden spires of Hellios still catch the morning light, just as they have for a thousand years. The Sun Banner still flies above the Imperial Palace. The hymns of the Church of the Sun still rise from a hundred temples. Outwardly, the heart of the Solarian Empire beats as it always has. But the Sun-Blood no longer sits the throne. Emperor Aurelius, last living descendant of the Sun God in the direct line, lies silent in the Solar Chamber. Physicians, priests, and arcanists have come and gone. None can wake him. None can even name the strange lethargy that holds him. Until he recovers—or until the bloodline is secured—the empire cannot rule itself. The Imperial Council has therefore invoked the ancient right of Regency. Five names now stand before the empty throne, each backed by power, gold, steel, or faith: Edward, Duke of Gryphon — Master of the Merchants’ Guild and Head of the Librarium. Leontis, Viscount of Neolum — Son of the Archon and Grand Crusader of the Church of the Sun. Septimus, Prince of the Capital District — Captain of the Royal Guard. Stephan, Archduke of Ironheim — Master of the Forges and champion of the common folk. Zadakiel, Marquess of Fellgahv — Head Justiciary and Grand Master of the Order of the Black Wing Knights. Each claims the right to speak for the sleeping Emperor. Each has allies who would see their candidate elevated—and rivals who would see them fall. The court is a web of whispered deals, old grudges, and carefully measured smiles. Blood has not yet been spilled in the marble halls… but the air is thick with the promise of it. You are not the great lords. You are the ones who move between them: investigators, diplomats, agents, and observers with the skill—and the opportunity—to learn what others will not say aloud. The Council will not appoint a Regent in ignorance. Someone must cut through the intrigue, expose the truth behind each claim, and guide the choice toward stability rather than civil war. The sun still rises over Hellios. How long it continues to shine may depend on what you uncover in the shadows of its court.

Whatever the opposite of a railroaded adventure is, this open-world campaign is that. The rules are simple. The world is complicated. What happens to it is up to the players. You will hear rumors, discover locations, meet competing factions, and encounter problems, but the game will not tell you which direction you must take. Some things the players have chosen to do so far: Join the local mercenaries to learn the ways of the sword as a mage - Retrieve an old lady's purse - Become war chieftain of an orc village - Decapitate a wight with a cursed sword Also some new races that are crafted to play and feel very different: - Pixie - fly, perfect hiding, cast phantasmal forces at will, insults cause physical damage to you - Orc - infra-vision, can recruit monsters more easily Races and classes are kind of blended together. Multiple characters are encouraged. Each choice allows you to do something that appears to let you break the game, while saddling you with something else that seems debilitating. This is by design, and players have come up with a few ways of getting around and abusing these things to the betterment of the story and lore. - Fighting-Man - Doesn't have to actually be a guy, but is a human. Can use all weapons and armor. - Magic-User - Has one spell, one "shot". Can meet with magic learned peers to exchange knowledge. The most notorious spell in the game right now is Charm Person because it doesn't wear off like in later editions. - Cleric - The best of the two above, but must be Good, and by the Law. - Elf - Essentially a Magic-Use/Fighting-Man with extra perks and ties with elves and the ability to sense magic, enhanced senses, etc. but capped at a certain point - Hobbit - Capped early, but can hide flawlessly in urban areas and snipe REAL good with slings. No magic. - Dwarf -  Capped early, but high resistance, good with all axes and hammers, can sense what stone touches and its shape, and ties with and extensive knowledge of dwarven culture and holds. There are major events going on in the background but instead of shoving players in the middle of them, I showcase the developments of those events that come about, for good or ill. The players decide what to investigate, whom to trust, which dangers are worth confronting, and what their characters want to accomplish. How many hirelings do you need to bring with you? How much can you do successfully alone to maximize profit? Play alone, 1-on-1 with DM and player, or up to 10 others at once. The world continues to develop around the party. Factions pursue their own plans, NPCs remember your actions, enemies adapt, settlements can change, and neglected situations may grow better or worse. Player choices can permanently reshape the campaign world. Let me know if you are interested!

ABOUT: In the town of Rowbury, Pennsylvania, two people were found horrifically murdered ten days apart from each other. Your superiors at CAIN believe this is sign that a sin has infiltrated the town, and have tasked you and your team to find it and neutralize it in whatever method necessary. They are holding off police as much as they can, but you only have hours before they push back. Or, until the situation escalates beyond your control. You are weapons, weapons that must do your task of wiping the stain clean. Hi.  I run a game on Wednesdays. Eastern time zone on Discord that I feel needs one additional player.   It's a young group (20's, 30's) and have been around for a few years.   There are 5 players.  The game itself has the players with corporate security jobs defending against alternate realities/histories.   So, extreme violence but with the occasional HR training module about problemsolving skills. Yes,  the worst of two worlds. Because it's alternate reality fighting alternate realities, the player can be whatever they want, quite literally anything.  GURPS allows the players to create whatever comes to your imagination,  but we'll worry about that later.  The tricky part isn't what we do but how.  The group does try to outdo each other in weirdness.   It's not murderhobo, but a new unprecedented thing.   So, you will have to keep that in mind.   This is not for the humorless or overly moral or easily uncomfortable. Think of this as a means to lead you down a new path,  one where you learn about a you that you have never met but has always known was there or you get your money back,  no questions asked.  Feel free to message me or discord - yeroldpalwill.  Seriously, they're a nice group of people and you'll have fun.   Having a sense of humor & a personality is a huge plus.  Thank for reading this far.  If you're a newbie  don't worry,  I'll help with the character.   Just combine your two favorite movie, literature, or anime genres together.  Also, Wednesdays,  7 PM eastern.

🎓 Who Are You? You are a student at the **Nocturne Conservatory**, a hidden college for young witches beneath the town of Duskfall. Most students are between **18 and 22 years old**, balancing two very different lives. By day, you attend classes, work part-time jobs, hang out with friends, and try to survive college. By night, you study advanced magic, dangerous rituals, and centuries-old traditions. Whether you were born into the magical community or discovered it later, you're still trying to figure out who you want to become. --- # 🏫 Your Two Worlds ## ☀️ Life Above Ground Outside the Conservatory, Duskfall functions like any other small coastal college town. You might spend your days: - Attending university lectures - Working a part-time job - Meeting friends at cafés - Going to concerts - Pulling all-nighters before exams - Exploring the town - Joining clubs or organizations Most people believe Duskfall is completely ordinary. They're wrong. --- ## 🌙 The Nocturne Conservatory Hidden beneath abandoned salt mines lies one of the oldest magical colleges in existence. Here you'll study subjects like: - Ritual Magic - Arcane Theory - Demonology - Magical History - Wards & Protection - Potion Brewing - Cursecraft - Spirit Studies -Evocation -Divination Your professors expect excellence. Failure can have consequences beyond a failing grade. --- # 🎭 What Is This Campaign About? This is a character-driven supernatural mystery focused on: 🔮 Magic 🕵️ Investigations 🎓 College Life 🤝 Friendships & Rivalries 📖 Hidden History 🩸 Difficult Choices While combat certainly happens, your greatest tools are curiosity, teamwork, and creative problem solving. --- # 🧙 Creating Your Character Think about the person behind the magic. ### What are you studying? Examples include: - Magical Law - Ritual Studies - Alchemy - Spirit Research - Enchantments - Magical Medicine - Ancient Languages --- What's your life like outside class? Do you... - Work at a bookstore? - Play in a local band? - Run the campus radio station? - Captain an intramural team? - Volunteer in town? - Spend every night buried in the library? --- How do you feel about magic? Maybe it's... - Your calling. - Your family tradition. - Just another subject to pass. - A burden. - An obsession. - Something you're still learning to trust. --- Why did you come to the Conservatory? Everyone has their own reason. Maybe you wanted: - Knowledge. - Freedom. - Answers. - Prestige. - Adventure. - A fresh start. --- 💬 Roleplaying Tips Your character is an adult, but adulthood doesn't mean having everything figured out. Lean into uncertainty. Make mistakes. Build friendships. Question authority. Support your classmates. Sometimes the biggest victories happen outside of combat. --- 📖 What Your Character Knows Every student knows: ✅ Magic exists. ✅ The Nocturne Conservatory is one of the oldest magical colleges in the world. ✅ Duskfall has a hidden magical community. ✅ Magical traditions are deeply important. ✅ Strange things occasionally happen around town. Your character does **not** automatically know: ❌ Every magical secret. ❌ Every hidden faction. ❌ The truth behind Duskfall's history. ❌ Why certain traditions exist. Those answers will be discovered throughout the campaign. --- 🌒 Welcome to Duskfall Study hard. Trust carefully. Question everything. Because in Duskfall... **Some secrets have been waiting centuries for someone to uncover them.** Like to application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf784PDqgFyQQcG_tInei2V3mVF9q-hKDGLUMwY23YeFNjbSA/viewform?usp=header

Howdy hi!! Shut-in world builder wizard here, just looking for cool people to bring to me and friends' online table for a bespoke variation of 3.5e D&D that focuses less on min-maxing/power-scaling and more on curiosity of the player, experimentation and a whole new toy box of fresh mechanics to dive into! Some of those mechanics share DNA with 5-5.5e concepts and might be familiar to players coming in from the most recent editions, and others have been forged from the mad scientist lab sessions of me and mine over several campaigns! We've got weird new races--psychic plant people, immortal deer fey, juggernaught dwarf-orc hybrids, sentient amnesiac undead, need I go on?! We've got intriguing reworks on old classics-- broad new specialization AND generalization options for casters, exciting new martial feats for bruisers of all types, and much needed re-balances for the discrepancies between Druid and Ranger! We've got an in-house, homemade character sheet template made in Microsoft Excel that tracks your bonuses, debuffs, gear weight, weapon rolls and all your stats in real time! We've got an entirely homebrewed, simple to understand, elemental damage counter system with a table of effects that completely turns the nature of how players and enemies utilize different damage types on its head! All this, and a chill, low-stress, inclusive table of nerds too! Sound good? Then give the profile a poke, and come see if your new favorite homebrewed TTRPG system will be ours! =)

Fight or sneak your way through the ancient and mysteriously abandoned Elvish city of Zel-Bazar! Starting at Level 6 and going to Level 14, this campaign in a light homebrew setting lets you explore a dangerous city in the desert to uncover forgotten arcane secrets, collect priceless religious relics, and kill powerful monsters to collect their precious innards, all so you can get fame and fortune. Inspired by Dungeons of Drakkenheim, this is a survival game where death is around every corner and your choices matter. You can work for yourselves and sow chaos, ally with a faction and help them achieve their goals, or even try your hand at overthrowing a faction for your own gains. The desert is yours to explore and exploit! Read below for a short introduction, and below that for the table details 👍🏻 --- The skies over the desert continent of Sahidh used to be glitter with starlight at all hours. In the ancient past a breed of Cosmic Beetles, those alien beings which eat stardust and create magic, would drift into an oasis in the middle of the desert to mate and multiply. Elves from the Glimmerwood eventually found the desert and the oasis and founded a city. After a few generations, those Elves adapted and became "sun-kissed". The city's name in Ancient Elvish is "Ulenra odh Taminn", or "Jewel of the Desert". After the Sun-Kissed Elves branched their culture, it was renamed to Zel-Barar, or "Jewel City." During the War of Crumbling Skies, the ulitmate battle between Gods and mortal mages when the Great Sky Cities were falling, the ancient desert capital acted as a crucial ally for mortal mages. But 60 years before the final defeat for the mages, the city went dark. The population of over 1 million Sun-Kissed Elves vanished without a clue as to why. When the mortal survivors of the war went to investigate what happened, they found the city infested with the Cosmic Beetles, now twisted and mutated by some kind of uncurable curse. The Cursed Beetles quickly became a scourge that would take the lives of many people, and still do to this day. It's been 40 years since the city was rediscovered, and a number of groups and organizations seek the hidden power and forgotten secrets still trapped within. Thieves, soldiers, holy people, fame-seekers, and anyone else daring enough to enter the walls of the city have congregated in the still-standing cities on the continents coasts or in one of the new settlements that the city's mystery has spawned. There has been a steady balance of power between the factions for decades now, but the appearance of a new Cult and rumors of a "major discovery" have people on edge. --- Games will be played on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays at 10 AM CST (Texas, USA) and will go for 4 hours. It's a paid table with standard rates being no higher than $20 and I am open to making deals depending on your needs. I never want to price someone out of play. If you're interested, you can reach out to me on here or on Discord: cheeks4901.

You stare back as you rest your sword at the demon's neck. Their tar-dark blood runs from their wound, down the blade. "For saving my beloved… and for saving me—" You wear their beloved's body. You fought them using their beloved's body. And now you catch them as they fall. The horns vanish, the purple drains from their eyes, and on your blade, the blood now runs red. We are a group that has been playing for the past 6 years and are looking to add a couple of new players. We have been playing in a long-running Star Wars campaign, but are about to switch to either a D&D 5.5e adventure or a superhero adventure. We love to play all sorts of games such as Star Wars, D&D (Nimble/Shadowdark), superheroes, Shadowrun, as well as many others! We meet at my house near the Hwy 36 and Sheridan exit. Everyone brings lunch and chats from about 1130 to noon. Then we play from noon to 1600. We play ever Sunday. Our table is LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈 safe and friendly as well as anti-MAGA. Feel free to text me or email me with questions. We are looking for people who are serious about gaming and having fun, and who can be consistent.

Shot in the dark, been looking for a more action focused AP to be part of. Since I never got any messages from player posting, I am trying to make the group and see if people join together for it. Heard hellbreaker and hell destiny were fun adventures, though others like a conversion of WotR, Kingmaker or other ones could work too. Regarding time, TBD but likely evening in week days (7:30pm or so) or maybe during the day on saturdays. Could band together to pay the foundry modules (if one is needed) to the GM. AI use forbidden at the table.

Hello there! I see you have taken an interest in my little post here. Which means something about my title has drawn your attention or you wish to see what this crazy man has to say. Whatever the case, welcome! I am currently looking for players to be a part of a grand adventure set in a fictitious version of Iron Age earth. Where gods and magic are as real as the earth and sky. The best way to describe the setting has to be a mix between EPIC: the Musical and Titan Quest. If this doesn’t drive you away, then you might be the player I am looking for. Before we go any further, a bit of background to help you out. Who am I?: Call me 007 for now. I am a forever GM who has been running games for the better part of 10 years. I have run everything from D&D to Fate, Open Legend, Star Wars, etc. You can say I am a rather experienced GM. The best way to describe my style is story-focused with a collaborative element. I tend to work with players to make the game threatening as well as epic for those involved. If this sounds good to you, we should then get into the brass tacks. What is the System?: This will be a Fantasy Age game from the good people at Green Ronin, though a rather homebrewed version due to my habit of experimentation. I cannot promise a vanilla Fantasy Age experience. Mechanical alterations may occur in certain circumstances as the need arises.  When is this Game?: This game is taking place on Saturdays at 9pm CST. As this is what works for the people already in the game. These times are non-negotiable. What’s the General Setting?: We are playing on a version of Earth during the Iron Age. Long past the time of ancient Greek tales and the old empires from the Bronze Age. The exact year is 550 BC. For those with historical backgrounds or who know their history, yes, we are taking place during the rise of Persia. Meaning the entirety of the Ancient world is available to be explored at your leisure. There are entire lore documents explaining everything that happened, as magic is a part of the world, in contrast to reality. Speaking of Persia. What’s the Story?: Persia is a major part of the story, though our crew is more tied to a specific island nation. Not Cyprus but a close guess. The isle of Crete, as one King sees the writing on the wall. Sending your band of misfits on a journey to other kingdoms. Using your political and social skills to find the perfect match for the king’s daughter. Creating a binding bond that might see them through the storm that will soon plague their nation. In a sense, you guys are royal matchmakers.  With final say over who gets to be wed to the princess, you've been given the unilateral power to determine if Crete somehow survives the coming incursion, or gets swept away (as they were historically). What kind of game are we dealing with?: Mostly of a sandbox nature, with a higher focus on exploration, political intrigue, court politics, and character motivations. As I expect you all to at least travel to half the world before making a particular choice. This game, in terms of percentages, will be 50% roleplay, 10% downtime, and 40% combat. As a result of this spread, I am looking for players who jive with heavy roleplay and are willing to take chances with their characters. This will require your focus and dedication. Those looking for a more passive or casual experience should try to find another game. How long will we be here?: About 2 years.  I hope that gives you enough information to give a general idea of what you are getting into. I have more to say, but we can save that for a one-on-one. For now, I will leave you with some final words. As stated in the title, this will be an 18+ game. We are going through a very violent time with concepts that might be uncomfortable to some people. Sex, Drugs, and other unsavory topics will be discussed through the game. I am looking for players willing to handle such topics respectfully and the gravity they deserve. If at this point nothing has scared you away, I welcome you to find the next part of my post. How do I join your game?: I have made a Google Form. If you want to join, all you have to do is respond to the form. After that, I will get in touch and discuss your potential involvement in my game. For those who wish to join as a couple, family, or other related ties. Have each of you make a response and mention at the bottom who you are in a joint application with. If you do jointly apply, I reserve the right to deny both of you if one does not meet my standard. With that, we come to the end of the post. If you have any questions, feel free to DM me privately. Until then, this is 007 signing off.

The era of mortals is coming to a close. Time, once a flowing and vast fact of life, is being eaten away by a divine stasis known as The Fog. More than half of the planet and its people have been swallowed by it now, leaving a sparse few beacons of light in the ever growing darkness. Our story begins in the 11th month of the year 3046PS, roughly 60 years after the first sightings of The Fog, as one of the final refugee ships from the west dock in the port city of Punto de Partida. Snow falls upon our fated party as they’re engulfed by the anxious city and its people, having only themselves to fend for against a world nearly frozen. You, dear survivor, live while the timer of the end ticks down. What will you do in the final years of mortals? Will you spend them ignoring the inevitable and indulging in what little comforts are left, or will despair halt you even before stasis arrives? Or maybe you have hope of a miracle, be it from the gods or crafted by your own hands. Just how much, I wonder, would you be willing to lose to save the world? [This campaign is set to be a long-term, slowburn story focused on character development and roleplay. Much of its world, people and cultures are open for players to imagine and make their own, making it perfect for players who love world building and crafting intricate backstories. The story will cover many of the expected topics for a pre/mid apocalyptic setting, as well as heavy themes such as classism, genocide, xenophobia and racisim/speciesism. Other sensitive topics may be covered barring any content that players can choose to veto; my goal as a DM is to make an immersive and realistic world while showing utmost respect to my players while doing so. This campaign will be offline only and is planned to be held at a game store in los angeles, and I’m looking to hold it Thursday, Friday or Saturday nights with times between 4pm-9pm.]

Chrome Fires Burning: a Cities Without Number cam

Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
LGBTQ+ friendly LGBTQ+ friendly
Looking for players for a CWN campaign tentatively titled “Chrome Fires Burning.” Voice is on Discord, VTT will probably be roll20. Everyone is welcome, the only rule is don’t be a dick. Games will be Sunday nights at 9PM CST Elevator pitch is as follows: The year is 2072. In 2025 the development of a new drug, ephemerol, lead to unbelievable advances in cybernetics and technological implantation. Able to bridge the gap between the nervous system and machine circuitry, ephemerol was hailed as a miracle drug, ushering in a new age of transhumanism However, before this new technological golden age could be upon us, it was smothered in the cradle by corporate greed. A jealousy guarded secret, the corporations who developed it held the formula for the miracle drug hostage, demanding corporate sovereignty in exchange for granting access to the masses. A combination of public promises, lobbyists, and paid politicians ensured this deal went through The gift became a double edged sword as the drug was distributed, only working with the cybernetics supplied by those corporations granted sovereignty, allowing them to gobble up more and more influence, to the point that entire cities have become little more than corporate towns, beholden to the companies that own them Within these sovereign territories, anything that threatens the bottom line is meet with brutal consequences. The workers who decided to rise up, to unionize, were branded criminals and domestic terrorists, locked away if not executed in a back alley Public utilities have been sold off little by little, leaving those who refuse the hand of the corporations with rapidly dwindling resources. The once mighty governments of the world now forced to bend the knee to the oligarchs Gangs run rampant, acting with impunity as long as their dues are paid, or left to their own devices due to lack of resources to stop them Despite this turmoil, there is new opportunity. Companies now fight a desperate war for market share, managers willing to pay to sabotage one another for the next promotion. Money talks, and right now, it’s screaming Chicago is one such battleground. Built into a shining edifice as the headquarters of several massive corporations, it now resembles a patchwork of countries, as each corporation claims sovereign territory within the blocks of city property it lays claim to. A hub of trade even in this time, boardroom battles spill out on to the streets, bullet and blade picking up where ink and negotiation fail

Homebrew Homebrew

Hey my names Jack and i have been a DM for a long time. Being a Dungeon Master is fun, but of course as a DM you also want to be the Player yourself in some Campaigns. This is what this game is for. I am looking for 1 other DM who would like to take part in a Round Robin style of Game with the rest of the existing group. Round Robin is where each Player gets a Turn to be the DM. 1 Person DM's a Story arc or Oneshot dependent on how they feel and then the next Person takes over and the Person who DM'd gets to play his Character. For this game i will be using Discord as Voice and VTT Foundry as the tabletop. a Webcam is not required. We are strictly against AI Art and want no use of it in our games. We are also supportive of LGBTQ, if you do have problems with either of these things dont even bother messaging me. Requirements: 18+ Years of Age Fluent in English Time once per Week for a 4~ Hour Session Saturday 20:00 GMT+2 A Good Microphone (with no Interruptions in the Background) The game will take place in European timezone and we cannot change this.

Seas of Isk

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Hey there! I’m looking for 3 additional players for a long term weekly campaign using a homebrewed setting with the Wildsea system! My GF and her brother will be the other two players joining for a total party of 5. This will be a more folksy, rural, “low magic” setting inspired by the worlds of Earthsea, Stormlight, and Ghibli with elements from the base setting of Wildsea. Here’s a bit about it: —— Far away across a treacherous sea addled by ancient spirits, the islands of Isk rise bright and stark. There, since time immemorial, those spirits have served the people of Isk as both friend and foe, blessing and hardship. In any object, location, or living creature of significant age or reverence, a spirit makes its home, gaining strength over time. There exist a rare few mediums that can commune with these spirits, forming a nigh-unbreakable bond that endows them with strange abilities tied to the spirit’s vessel or form. A furnace-spirit might be immobile but bestow its medium with powers of flame and ash. A cove-spirit, ancient and terrible, might allow its medium to sink any crab-galley that makes the mistake of navigating within its waters. An ancient ceramic blade-spirit might confer great warlike abilities to its owner. Above all spirits of sword, stone, root, or rose, four primeval forces are worshipped and feared. They are the eldest spirit of Fire, its child the stoic Earth, the very Sky above as one, and the youngest and most temperamental, the Sea. So it is that the lands of Isk have always kept to themselves, each island ringed by uncertain waters. Having no metals of any kind within the Earth, Iskish people build and craft with bone, glass, ceramic, cordage, wood, and sometimes stone. War, the rare time it is waged in defiance of local spirits, is done so with bone or ceramic blades. Travel is infrequent and often dangerous, as one can never know when a hostile, powerful medium is the master of any new tree, castle, mountain, or island. Iskish fauna is strange and buglike. Crustaceans, isopods, and a whole other host of great shelled beasts have been domesticated since before written memory. These are used to traverse the stormy seas, lands, or even skies of the islands, or else used for food or work. Isk is lastly a kingdom, and its immortal Queen reigns supreme. The royal family has an ancient connection with the Sky spirit, which aided them in a conquest a thousand years ago to unify the islands. In Faratha, the great cliffside capital of Isk, great and terrible deeds are done in the name of the Queen atop spires of shaped glass and carved amber. You are a villager from an island-state in the far outer isles of Isk named Honnoc. Warm, humid, and picturesque yet ill-regarded by the inner isles, Honnoc has long been the gathering place for a variety of outcasts and rare cultural traditions in Isk. Very soon, there will be an upheaval that threatens calamity on every island in Isk, and it will happen in Honnoc on the eve of an ancient summer festival. Very soon, you will leave the peace of your home and search for something that was lost in a place very far from home, on seas you do not know. —— So that’s the idea! I’m 29M (others are 29F and 27M) and have been a DM for around 11 years almost exclusively running 5th edition DnD. This will be my first campaign with another system. Wildsea is a much less crunchy system than DnD, with more theater of the mind action (for example, combat is done in basically the same way as skill checks, which use a d6 pool). There will probably be a lot of sea travel and exploration, since Wildsea has baked in rules for ships and crew. I’m a very narrative-forward DM and love some good shenanigans, but this system may not be for you if you love tinkering with numbers and optimizing. In general, I don’t do too much overt romance but am not opposed (though anything NSFW will be a fade-to-black or equivalent). I want to cultivate a longer term group that values respect and empathy, so no Red Hats please. For timing and platform: We’re thinking weekly on Saturday at 3:00PM PST, and we’ll likely use FoundryVTT (there’s not much in the way of crunchy tactics here though). I do want to note: I’d strongly prefer people who feel comfortable with having their webcams on for the session, which I’ll also be doing. I just find it pretty hard to GM games with audio-only, and video can help people stay engaged. If anyone is interested, I’ll ask you to please fill out this google form with some information about yourself. I’m super excited about this and I encourage anyone of all skill levels/familiarities to apply, since we’ll all be pretty new at this. Thanks! https://forms.gle/NaDNpU4KNiuKth2AA

The City never sleeps, and as a Moonlighter, niether will you! MOONLIGHTERS is a high-stakes Dungeons and Dragons campaign set in a fantastical version of the modern day. The players take the role of Moonlighters - part time adventurers who operate after dark. Are you a college dropout Elf? A pixie attorney specialising in Magic Item law? A gnome taxi driver? Whatever your reason, while the city sleeps, you Adventure! Players will form an Adventuring Party, working the Adventuring gig economy in the Big City. They'll choose from available jobs, meet wacky clients, and co-operatively worldbuild and expand on the city with the DM in the process. Will you stage an elaborate heist at the Museum of Villainy? Fix a Wizard Duel for a down-and-out gambler? Explore the forgotten catacombs of the public graveyard? It's up to you! More here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmq7tyim4007bjs04bh2hluyy?q=moonlighters  Each of the player characters will have a day job, which will be narratively incorporated into the story. If your single dad Orc is an accountant by day. maybe they'll notice some irregularities in the companies magical accounts. If they're an exhausted sound technician for a bratty DJ, maybe they'll have some connections to the shadier side of the city. During a Session 0, we will all discuss the general tone of the game the players are in the mood for. Player characters could all be friends fresh out of college, living out a coming-of-age Jon Hughes movie (with oozes and werewolves), a group of reluctant oddballs flung together in a workplace comedy, or desperate individuals just trying to make ends meet in a brutal, unforgiving city. The choice will be communal, and can always evolve with the narrative. I will discuss privately what each player wants to see, and what they never want to see in game. I'll make sure everyone is on the same page without drawing attention to any individual player's needs. The games is $20 per session via Startplaying. Alternatively, you can message me if you would rather pay another way.

Please, message only if you are going to play, don't make the other players wait Discord nickname: weebseatshit *PREMISE* You are dragged into a dangerous encounter together with other unlucky ones. Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's a Forgotten Realms based, custom (homebrew) campaign with an emphasis on story, characters & adventures, *WITHOUT LEVELS & STATS. "Theatre of the Mind" playstyle (means no VTT). Casual, beginner friendly Every player can has his own, custom spells/abilities. Custom spells should be created within reason. Imagine that those spells are used against you. A player has up to 5 spells from the start A player should choose a class that is the closest to his preference & then create spells/abilities. If a player can't, i'll help I'd like every player to be equally powerful Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) These classes aren't allowed: Artificer, Barbarian, Monk, Psion d20 roll results: Dungeon Master sets a number in an RNG & decides what success number a player should roll Spells don't need mana or d20 roll to be cast, they only cooldown, but if a player is gonna spam spells, i'll Elfen Lied him or put some shit like Leo Bonhart from Witcher that will equalize/balance him *COMBAT* When combat starts, characters & their enemies roll for initiative to decide who goes first (the one with the biggest number, then decreasing or as Dungeon Master decides) If it's a tie result, reroll To choose a target for an enemy, Dungeon Master sets a number in an RNG To attack, character & other character(s) roll d20. If attacker's number is bigger, he deals damage. If attacker's number is less, a defending character dodges. A defending character can perform a counterattack, but if he fails, he receives damage To defeat (wound) a character: • Character must receive damage a certain amount of times • Character does it with any possible way (using environment, persuasion) I'll describe locations, looks, with little to no details. So, when a player is for example in a forest, search for "D&D forest artstation" or "forest artstation" & ambient You can check The Witcher 1 video game. It's my main inspiration when it comes to background (buildings, outdoors, interior design, clothes, general looks, basically all) Just like with the books, i'd prefer that player imagined his own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore)

Welcome to the lands of terror, traveler. Welcome, to place of shadows and pain. Welcome, to Barovia. This is the place under consistent terror of it's once hero, now — executioner of his own lands and people. In this short adventure we're gonna investigate mystery around unknown house in Daggergort, where starts our adventure. Prepare yourself to heavy rollplay campaingh with great foes and hope within the Mist. Gonna be happy to see you! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I’m a game master with several years of experience. I have about half a dozen campaigns that are either finished or currently in progress. I’ve taken on roles ranging from the majestic tyrant Strad von Zarovich to the noble and cold-blooded Camarilla bloodline member to the ruthless cutthroat of the streets of Duskvol, while at the same time standing by your side as Irina Kolianovna, your gray, or your sniper ally in the House of Raven’s Cross. I have many faces, many names, as you may have realized, but the essence is the same — I adore each of my roles just as much as I adore each of yours. It is in the game, in the combination of my play and yours, that true Greatness will emerge. And believe me, it awaits us. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now, let me tell about me a few words, dear traveler. As I have just said, I've GM-ing for a few years. Six, to be clear. In my games you can expect a lot of roleplaying, deep lore(Espetially in Curse of Strahd and Old Barovia), breathtaking plot twists and great strory, that we're gonna make together. You can easily count on me in mechanical aspect of game. Be shure, that our VTT gonna be quite automated and I'll give as much immersion, as I possibly can. Platform: Discord+Foundry VTT Price: 20$ Questions? Feel free to send me a DM. I'm always happy to chat about the campaigns, answer questions. If you're looking for a reliable group and a long-term campaign I'd love to hear from you!

Adult Adult
Hi, my name is Butch, and I'm DMing an old old 2E campaign (called The Night Below) that I'm adapting to 5.5E.  I have 3 players already, looking for 2 or 3 more.  We are adult friends that like to get together and have fun.  The PCs are currently at level 3 (close to level 4) : a Human Warlock/Paladin, a Shadar-kai Gloomstalker Ranger, and a Dragonborn Warlock).  We'll do 1 or 2 more levels above ground, and then the plot moves almost exclusively to the Underdark.  This is an old-school campaign, so there'll be lots of combat.  Currently, they have no dedicated tank, Cleric, or Wizard (a Light Cleric would be a great fit).  Good-ish cooperative PCs (and players) only please.  No PVP, murder-hobos, thats-what-my-character-would-do, I-was-Evil-the-whole-time assholes need apply.  Experienced mature players preferred, but we're noob friendly if you're enthusiastic want to hang with a fun group.  Let me know if you're interested in joining our group.  Discord ButchO, reddit u/JetScreamerBaby.

[Fallout 2d20][Wednesdays 7 PM ET][18+] Looking for 1 Player, wanting to learn the system I'm running a faithful but free-roam adaptation of Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel (2004) using the Fallout 2d20 system. We started with three players—Cyrus, Cain, and Nadia—and recently added a fourth player who brings a wonderfully chaotic-neutral energy. Session 3 was an absolute blast, but unfortunately life happens. Our Nadia player has had some family matters come up and has had to step away from the campaign. The remaining three players are more than enough to keep the game going, but I'd love to find someone to fill that Nadia role.  (A Pregen based on the characters starting specialties in game, but they are sitting on a lvl up they never took. You could start personalizing right away! ) We currently play every other Wednesday at 7:00 PM ET, though we're open to changing the day if that works better for everyone (Wednesday was originally chosen to accommodate an international player who's no longer in the group). The party is currently in Carbon, so it's a great point to jump into the story without feeling like you've missed a months content. We play on AlchemyRPG (free to use), and the campaign emphasizes exploration, player choice, roleplay, and the freedom to tackle the wasteland however you want. If you're looking for a Fallout campaign for newer players so we can uncover the secrets of the system that stays true to the source material while letting players carve their own path, we'd love to have you. It's a very specific thing, this game. I wanted my first time GMing online to have bumper rails, so I chose this story/ characters but we've began veering away into uncharted waters that im sure you'd enjoy swimming in

"For as long as anyone can remember, humanity has lived among the clouds." The world is a sea of endless blue skies, where great floating Sanctums drift upon unseen currents. Some are bustling kingdoms with towering cities and fertile fields. Others are little more than lonely rocks suspended above an endless abyss. Trade, diplomacy, and survival depend on airships. Every day, captains brave violent squalls, hungry sky beasts, and ruthless pirates to keep the Sanctums connected. Entire fortunes are won or lost on the strength of a crew and the reliability of their vessel. Beneath the Sanctums churns The Veil—an eternal storm said to swallow anything foolish enough to descend into it. Lightning without end. Black clouds deeper than any ocean. Every child grows up hearing the same warning: "Nothing lies beneath the Veil but death." No one questions it. The First Builders, the mysterious civilization that raised the Sanctums into the heavens, vanished long ago. Their impossible machines still hum beneath every island, keeping the world aloft, but their knowledge has faded into myth. Their ruins dot the Sanctums, waiting for those brave—or desperate—enough to explore them. You are not heroes. Not yet. You're simply people looking for your next opportunity. Whether you're chasing coin, escaping your past, seeking adventure, or just trying to make a living among the clouds... Everything begins with a simple job.

Conducting a Delta Green operation is like an immune system response; you must identify and destroy the infection before it kills the body. This campaign comprises of six operations for new and old Delta Green players that would like to face reality where lovecraftian monstrosities are more down to earth then you would think. You can join for all of them as one ongoing cycle or pick and choose which operations you would like to be part of - check "party notes" below to see which operation is currently played. • Reverberations: Reverb is back in Chicago. Users vanish, leaving wrecked rooms behind. Stop the source of this unnatural threat. • Viscid: A geneticist dies in Seattle. Unnatural "Blue Blood" is spreading. Confront a lethal conspiracy before it’s too late. • Music From a Darkened Room: 18 people died at 1206 Spooner Ave. An agent just joined them. Enter the house that is cold, alive, and hungry. • Extremophilia: A deputy dies of poisoning in Montana. Stop a contagious threat before you become its next vector. • The Star Chamber: Adjudicate a mission in Myanmar. Replay choices to find the truth: did they betray humanity to the Tcho-Tchos? • Observer Effect: A lab looked too deeply into reality. Isolate the staffers before a mindless chaos consumes our existence. Never played Delta Green? Don't worry - game is simple and you will pick up the system as we play! We will kick off with session zero to agree on table rules and expectations. Before joining be aware that this game is for mature players and will involve difficult moral decisions as well as might involve emotional roleplaying about human relations and their slow degradation. It is not a happy game about killing monsters. It is a game about consequences. This is an ongoing campaign. We finished Viscid and are looking for fresh blood to start Music From a Darkened Room.

Howzits, I’m looking for anyone who wants to partake in a character-focused campaign. There are currently three players, and we still DM. For the setting of the campaign, mainly we're looking for a more vibrant setting that should allow any sort of character to partake; for example, my character, a half-elf wizard, is an amateur archaeologist who wants to open his own museum someday. Another prerequisite for the campaign, ideally, is to avoid common tropes I see, such as stopping an undead army or a god has turned evil and must fall. Though it is fun to play as god killers, sometimes it’s also nice to play as a simple band of adventurers that doesn’t over the local government As for scheduling, the current timetable is that Wednesdays are open, and ideally I would like games to start at 11 am EST (Eastern Standard Time) as the other player I’m with is Six hours ahead of me. If all that sounds good and you think you’ll make a good addition to the group, contact me through my discord so that we can have a better chat. My Discord username is HyperHotrod058

A ragtag band of locals find themselves embroiled in a strange adventure involving an unhinged warforged, a psychotic docent, and a plot seemingly involving a nefarious branch of House Cannith. One of those you've been roped in with attached the docent to himself and now hears voices, but has started displaying extra abilities. Your mentor, the unhinged warforged named Trace 7, has disappeared, but she left you with a mission to find a way into a secret facility in the underbelly of Sharn to discover the secrets of this organization. Can you find your way in and discover what House Cannith is up to? This game uses the Pathfinder for Savage Worlds Ruleset and Kristian Serrano's Eberron for Savage Worlds adaptation hosted on the Fantasy Grounds VTT, which is now free to play. All resources will be supplied upon acceptance. This is an ongoing campaign with five players currently. I'll accept up to one more. We play on the last Sunday of the month at 18:00 Eastern Time (Currently UTC-4).

Maeve: Of Delegates & Dragons Fire

Roleplay focused Roleplay focused

For a millennia, the Dragonborn have toiled as mere cogs in an uncaring machine. Whether under their creators in the Hydra or under the Dragons who came to inherit their world-spanning Empire. Gods, old and new tolerated this mortal dynamic of slave and master, of second-class citizens at best. Never has a Dragonborn ruled as their own. Never, before the King of Maeve was felled by one. The Morning Revolution has finally swept over the Kingdom of Maeve in its entirety, with a Dragonborn-led provisional government quickly being formulated in its wake. Though the Revolution has been won, what comes after still lies in heavy contention, as factions who once had united over the Royalist threat now stand divided over faith, ideology and purpose. Should a new monarchy be instated, or would a Republic serve the people better? Should Dragons retain their noble privileges to appease the realm’s external enemies, or should they be punished for their centuries of oppression? These questions and more will have to be answered as representatives from all seven of the realm’s provinces convene in the capital of Elira to create a new constitution and draw up the future of Maeve. Or it’s doom… _ Maeve: Of Delegates and Dragons Fire is a political intrigue DnD 5.5E campaign set in the world of Ruel, dominated by Dragons and now in seeming competition with the Dragonborn. Barely a month has passed since the death of King Nyrent Cagan and the declaration of the Provisional Government, yet forces internal and external have already begun to chip away at its foundation. You are a Dragonborn and a delegate of the Maevan Plenary, the Provisional Government’s legislative wing. Having participated in the Morning Revolution, you are about to arrive on the outskirts of the capital with five other fellows you’ve formed a deep friendship with in the fires of the conflict. The days ahead will be as difficult as they are dangerous, as you’ll need to push your agenda in the Plenary. Traveling across the realm in-between Plenary sessions to advocate for your position, manage political and economic crises as well as to prepare the already ravaged country for the possibility of an even greater war on its doorstep. If you enjoy the idea of nation building and politics in an active world that responds to your actions, this is the game for you. Be prepared for potentially heavy topics such as oppression, repression, and all the other woes that come with statecraft. Not all player characters might be aligned on a given topic, being traditionalists, liberals, magocrats or anything else. The entire party however will have the collective goal of retaining Maeve’s continuity and independence. Technologically, the setting fits 15th century Western Europe. A bit about the game and logistical side of things: _ **System:** DnD 5.5e **Platform:** Discord for Voice, FoundryVTT for Battlemaps, Character Sheets and so on **Starting Level:** 3, Milestone Leveling **Schedule:** Weekly, Thursdays nights starting at 7:30 PM EST and usually going on until 10 - 11 PM EST **Age:** 18+ only! Ideally someone who is in the age range of 20-30 or so, as that's about the range of everyone at the table currently **Vibe:** A serious & mature game with a lot of roleplay, though we like to keep a rather fun and friendly OOC atmosphere at the table. **Party:** Currently we have 4 other players and one other who will only be there on occasion. The party comp consists of a Monk, Warlock, Cleric, Bard and Paladin. We are currently searching for one other player or at most, two. _ What I'm looking for in a player: * Someone who fits the vibe as stated above, who is an avid note-taker. * Someone who wants to make a character and get engrossed with them, who will remember the names of the NPCs from their tragic backstory as I incorporate said backstories into the game itself. * Someone who's experienced with 5e and / or with 5.5e. * Someone with a good quality mic (bonus for knowledge of how to use Foundry but not required). * Someone who is able to separate the character from the player / GM. Everyone at the table are friends, even if you might clash in-game. * Be open to homebrew! I do a lot of homebrew on my end, from making custom magic items and skills for my players to whole new monster stat blocks and other mechanics, I'm a big fan of adding on to a system. You can find the application form in the following link: https://forms.gle/dm3i8X6fk9v9yMeq7

Newbie friendly Newbie friendly
LGBTQ+ Friendly! Welcome everyone! My name is Love. Me and my friend Catie are looking to start up a mini-campaign, we've found 2 lovely people, so we're on the hunt for 2 more players to join us! If this post is still up we're still looking for good folks :) I've introduced a lot of people to the game so I think I'm in a good posi-sh to help anybody learn, my patience is boundless I promise. Eye of the Dunes: A rumor glides on the wind throughout Faerun, from the high courts to the damp alleyways. Kings and orphans alike whisper of the Eye of the Dunes, a wondrous mote of magic said to be able to grant its claimant any wish they desire. It lies sleeping somewhere deep, deep in the deserts of Calimshan, untouched under centuries of blowing winds, for we would surely know if someone had found it. You have banded together with a few other adventurers to brave the sands, an uneasy alliance at best, as in the end only one of you can wield the Eye. There's a lead in the capital city of Calimport, a café owner claims to know something the general populace doesn't, so you've set sail on an overcrowded galleon. You are not the first to try, but perhaps you will be the last.     We play on Foundry (veeery fancy) in a discord call     The campaign is set at a higher level, 8-10, and will last 3-5 session     We'd prefer players around our own age (20 - 34)     We love messing around and making jokes, but we do try to actually tell a story and often roleplay seriously with emotion. I try to be descriptive!     I am from Sweden and my friend is Australian (though a real night-owl), so we can't really play after 19:00 GMT+2     I won't tolerate NASTY behavior, you know, let's have a Good Time, Owl City & Carly Rae Jepson-style     No AI, come on, what are we doing here? About you: Please send us a message telling us about yourself! Stuff like where you're from, what kind of person you'd describe yourself as, your hobbies and so on. To make sure we don't invite EVIL people we need to know who you are, so share as much as you feel comfortable with. Trust me we'll read every word! We'd love to stay in touch and play games once the campaign is done, but no pressure! Thank you for reading, hope to hear from you :) (P.S: happy to share stuff about ourselves too if you have questions!)

This is about trying to investigate several things, firstly, there seems to be a goblin army amassing in a ruined old dungeon, but also rumors have been spreading in the area about the Gulthias tree, a magic tree said to bear fruit that cures all that ails you.  It will be levels 2-3.  I'm looking to run a game starting at 2am or 3am (EST) and run it for like 4-5 hours. No day is hard picked yet and everyone I have yet has a flexible schedule as per what day.  This will likely be combat orientated since it's a regular dungeon from a book that I've tinkered with, but I've tried my best to make it fun. You'll need to have a discord for a voice chat and a Roll20 account to play, because I have the adventure all set up on roll20 already.  Any skill level welcome, I will even help make characters!

Hello! I am a streamer who goes by GalaktikDragon and I'm looking for one or two more players for a game of VtM I plan to run on my stream. I am a semi practiced GM, but will be new to running V20+Future world of Darkness to create a cyberpunk style city setting, all original characters and no links to exisitng properties. I just call it Cyberpunk so people can understand the vibe of the city.  I have 3 players ready to go. 1 experienced and 2 brand new. just looking to fill out the party with some nice people who wouldn't mind streaming the game on Tuesday afternoons PST. We will be using FoundryVTT and Stoat for Voice as I no longer trust Discord after being hacked. Thanks
