Welcome to Vaeloria!

Welcome to Vaeloria! Generations ago, the Underfolk rose up in a crusade that failed. What followed was worse than the war itself: subjugation under House Xanos, a wound that still hasn't closed. Some Vaelorians have grown kinder to the Underfolk races over he years since, but many haven't. Beneath the surface of every gleaming city, from Eryndell's towers of scholarship, to Thalor's living canopy to Vaeloris Prime's golden halls, something is not quite right. But you don't know any of that yet. Right now, you're just trying to survive a forced labor camp you shouldn't be in. A stranger has given you a piece of paper, asking to meet with a few others in the common room that night.  What to expect: - A homebrew D&D 5e (2024 rules) campaign blending political intrigue, personal stakes, and genuine moral grey areas - Combat that hits hard, mysteries that reward paying attention, and choices that don't come with a clearly right answer - A slow-burn story, secrets are meant to be uncovered, not handed to you This campaign will include a lot ot homebrew items and monsters.

High Lords of Terra (5e/5.5e homebrew) (21+)

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Intro to Terra If you’re coming from Faerûn, think of Terra as a vast continent that used to feel like one big, functioning empire. A tradition of feudalism, with noble "High Lord" houses ruling over their regions. All offering allegiance to a central authority, the most powerful noble house, Arista, and crowned it's leader as the First Lord. So the Legend Goes At the dawn of this world, the Gods watched our people struggle to survive in an unforgiving world - Early settlements decimated by violent storms. Explorers slaughtered by ferocious beasts. To have a chance at survival, these benevolent Gods gifted the lands with powerful spirits. And for the inhabitants, an ability to bond with these spirits. As these lands were conquered, creatures brought over were quickly surpassed by Humans, who found they could tame and even command these spirits. For thousands of years, these settlers fought and struggled to secure as much power for themselves as possible. Anarchy, chaos, and endless bloodshed, with the most vulnerable most at risk. It was not until those wielding the most powerful elemental magic banded together that law and order was able to form. Rather than fighting each other, they spread across the lands in a uniform effort to end the violence. Forming what are now known to be the High Lords of Terra. These High Lords rallied behind the most powerful among them, First Lord of House Arista. For generations, there was peace among the world. Humans across Terra in harmony with one another and their spirit blessings, working together to build great cities, sprawling farmlands, relying on each other for protection. The Civil War starts... Nearly one hundred years ago, tragedy struck when the First Lord passed away, leaving behind two sons with competing claims to the throne. The older son, born of an illegitimate affair with the High Lady of House Kalara, vied for the throne against his younger brother, son to the First Lord's wife. The conflict immediately turned bloody amongst the High Lords. On one side stood the loyalists, supporting House Arista and the rightful heir to the throne as appointed by the King's betrothed. On the other stood the would be usurping traditionalists, who sought to uphold the laws of succession. They rallied behind House Kalara. Now, a century later, the realm remains divided, locked in a never-ending struggle for power and dominance. The loyalist houses of Teos, Retosia, and Pytion stand firm in their support of House Arista, while the traditionalist houses of Sultern, Rhodes, and Toria remain steadfast in their allegiance to House Kalara. As the conflict rages on, the fate of the realm hangs in the balance. One thing is certain - It cannot survive another century of civil war. A Forgotten Evil Stirs... While the realm is torn apart by war, a new shadow rises. Mysterious disappearances reported near the uninhabited forest. Legend of an undisturbed kingdom made of wax in it's center. Ghost stories of an ancient evil laying dormant... now waking up. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello! Looking to stretch myself and finally start a new table with a homebrew I've been putting together for a few years. Looking for players that are in a similar timezone (PST). I'm also a parent, so would be looking for evening sessions after kiddos are asleep (~7pm PST). The world's lore is loosely inspired by Jim Butcher's Codex Alera series, mashed together with Faerun. Familiarity with source material is not required or expected at all. Lore will be provided on this world, and the unique elemental powers ALL characters will have access to... With this world, there will be some restrictions on the Player Characters. All playable characters at this time will be Humans. Most classes are workable, though the system really lends itself to Martials/Half-Casters. I would highly recommend using one of those. I'm not a major Rules Lawyer, big believer in Rule-of-Cool and being adaptable. Improvising and leaning into the roleplay is where the magic happens. There will challenging, purposeful combat but not a meat-grinder style of a campaign. Getting the right dynamic is very important to me, so will definitely be intentional. Would also love some diversity (both in character and out of character) at the table. If this sounds interesting, please reach back out! Would be happy to discuss further and share more info on the lore to make sure it's a good fit. Regardless, best of luck to you on finding the right table. :) Cheers, Windy

Homebrew

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Weekdays only, a group decides on day & time Most people will probably play between 16:00 – 21:00 (GMT+0) Will be played in Discord voice chat, "Theatre of the Mind" playstyle (means no VTT) My Discord (weebseatshit) *PREMISE* You are dragged into a dangerous encounter together with other unlucky ones. Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's a Forgotten Realms based, custom (homebrew) campaign with an emphasis on story, characters & adventures Some spells that affect game's balance & world, may be forbidden. It'll be discussed Instead of HP you have healthbars, & you don't know how big are your enemies healthbars Spells become cantrips I'll describe locations & looks with little to no details Just like with the books, i'd prefer that every player imagined their own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore) Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) These classes aren't allowed: Artificer, Barbarian, Monk, Psion A tystling is similar to a cat Monochrome darkvision Enhanced senses: smell, hearing, vision, touch & balance Soft step: walking is almost noiseless (unless a tystling has something noisy on), running is slightly quieter comparing to other races A tystling is shorter than an elf, but taller than a dwarf A tystling is slim like an elf, but lighter than an elf, with smaller muscles. That makes a tystling even more agile & dexterous than an elf, but it's very hard for a tystling to lift or carry medium heavy things

"Year 0" Prequel One-Shots

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello hello! I am Matthew. I am a new DM building a homebrew world, and I want your help filling in its history. Before my main campaign begins, I am running a series of one-shots set in "Year 0". This is when an apocalyptic cataclysm nearly ends the world. The future campaign will be set centuries afterward. When? I run my business from home and have a family, so M-F during the day works best. These one-shots will take place Tuesday through Thursday, between 9:00am and 2:00pm Central time (chicago area). If you work from home, work nights, or live in a time zone where this is your evening, this table is for you! What is it? You will play low- to mid-level heroes surviving the chaos of a larger conflict. You might be pulling off a desperate heist for a magical artifact, escorting refugees to safety, or holding the line against impossible odds. All of this happens under the shadow of the First King, whose mysterious sacrifice during this era saved the realm but cursed his bloodline forever. Legacy? Yup If you survive, I have a "Fortune & Fate" roll planned to help determine your character's epilogue. Though you will have plenty of creative control over their outcomes. Survive or not - your characters will become the myths, ancestors, and founders in the larger campaign!

4 Pig's Hollow One Shots

D&D 5E Every other Thursday Night 6PM Eastern Time. Welcome to Keocorra! (possible Camapign)

LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello folks and welcome to my adventurer recruitment! Let’s begin with a quick introduction and summary of my post. You should gain a brief overview of what I’m looking for/offering from the first two sections. I am a bit of a yapper, so the overall post may get a little long, but if you are interested, please read it all. (I will be putting more information on the Discord Server I’ve made for this.) I would like to note that the server is currently at a good amount of people, however I am reopening this since I need to fill a vacancy in Group 4! Group 2 has just concluded and Group 4 will likely have their sessions at the start of October (the One Shot currently takes two sessions). Games will run on Sundays in the later afternoon based on CET time.  Me: My name is Shay (He/Her/Theirs (any pronouns)). I’m 22 years old and have always been a storyteller. That said, English is not my first language. I do my best and would say I’m fluent, though. I am queer and neurodivergent and a nerd, which is sort of obvious considering this is a ttrpg recruitment site lol. I got some DnD experience recently after years of never having the proper friend group for it. I’ve loved tabletop content for years, and now that I’ve played some, I know I love it. Although playing itself is very fun, I’ve always known the mantle of the DM calls to me. Therefore, I am now a beginner DM, currently working on my own DnD setting.  What I’m looking for: I am looking for players of any skill level that would be interested in connecting, and possibly eventually embarking on a campaign with me. I do not currently have any dming experience, which is why this recruitment is primarily for a One Shot I have written. It is fairly straight forward and should cover the various aspects of DnD (roleplaying, exploring, combat, looting etc). I want to write more One Shots, and through running them, find a group for a campaign. However, you don’t have to be interested in a campaign to play my One Shot :) Rules and Requirements: You must be 18+ to join. You must have a decent microphone and stable Internet. You do not need any prior DnD experiences. Joining the One Shot is not a guarantee of getting into the Campaign: The Campaign will have four players just like each group of the One Shot will. I'm hoping to run the One Shot three times. One Campaign Slot is already filled.  You may make your character sheet on sites such as DnDBeyond or Dicecloud, but you may also make one on paper. Just be sure to send it to me if it’s not through my Campaign link in DnDBeyond. You may roll in any form you want, even with real dice. I will work under the assumptions that you do not alter the results of any rolls I cannot immediately see. You must not use any AI to generate writing or characters. Ideally, you should not use it at all (ever). You may not use preexisting AI art for your character art. I urge you to critically assess any piece of art you use for your characters. (I will provide resources to find non-AI character art). If you use someone else’s art for your character, you must provide credits. Do not be bigoted, hateful or discriminatory in any way. Racism, Ableism, Misogyny, Queerphobia and bullying will not be tolerated. This may sound a little odd, but you must be willing to use non-conventional and/or shifting pronouns. You don’t need to be perfect, but be respectful and willing to learn. (This is also fairly important in game, since I will include genderqueer or genderneutral characters/npcs.) ERP is not allowed in the One Shots and likely won’t be allowed in the Campaign (depends largely on players). While playing, please pay attention, even if it isn’t your turn. More Info on the One Shot: The One Shot has a fairly clear storyline and isn’t set up to have too much room for improvisation as for it’s plot points. Improvisation is an aspect I want to also eventually explore, but for now this is more of a “tutorial” type experience. The various paths and options are prewritten and have a clear line of progression, although what exactly happens and what you chose to do is open! Unfortunately, I can’t let you not accept the quest I have prepared and go explore somewhere else, sorry ^^ Depending on interest, I will probably run the One Shot multiple times, and/or offer up another one if there are people that are interested in being part of a DnD group longterm. This lore of my world isn’t relevant to the One Shot, which does take place in the same world, but approximately 1600 years in the past. This is so the One Shot can already happen while I’m still putting the lore and everything else to paper! All you need to know is in the pitch; although it basically summarizes to “Every kingdom is at war, but that’s not really your problem. You just need to get by.” There is also some information about geography and the overall world on my Server. More Info on a possible Campaign: I will eventually put out some lore of my world on the Discord Server. It will include informations about pretty much everything you need to know: gods, territories, people and everything else I cook up ^^’ As I mentioned before, none of the Campaign lore/information is relevant to the One Shot(s). When it comes to the eventual Campaign, I have a few reference points and ideas what an overarching story could be, but I do also want to have a big focus on the characters in the adventuring party. So what the actual plot of the campaign will be also depends heavily on the groups wants. I am looking to write a more serious story, but there will be room for whimsy and tomfoolery. I will include more existential themes and don’t shy away from things getting dark. However, ahead of a campaign, triggers, topics to avoid and such will be discussed in depth! Once a group has emerged for a campaign, I want to hold a sort of early Session 0 where we all discuss ideas, early character concepts, opinions on possible plot arcs and I will obviously also be there to answer questions! We would probably have a second session 0 to discuss characters, backstories and such closer to when the actual campaign would start. With all this information put out there, I’m hoping the sessions can be weekly or biweekly. I know that is a fairly big commitment, but that’s also why the process before the Campaign is a little longer. I’m not just looking for future players, I’m looking for future friends! Now, onto the actual One Shot Pitch: Short Version: In a world where war rages constantly, you are just a mere commoner wanting to survive. They’re not your battles to be fought, yet in a world where the kingdoms never seizes to be at odds with one another, survival isn’t guaranteed. A local guild offers work for those considering themselves adventurers. You are hire to retrieve a family heirloom from a village that was decimated by a recent battle. While there is no eminent threat or any indications of more battles to happen there, venturing there will still be perilous. Will you find what you’re looking for? Long Version: Keocorra was once a land of peace, or so the elders teach to the youth to give them hope. They have never witnessed such an age. Even among the most long-living species, no one is alive to remember. Not even the Gods recall a time where there was peace. Perhaps it had never existed, alas the world burning was just as constant as the rise and fall of the sun. Like most of Keocorra’s people, you could not be further from the people declaring wars and sending their people to their deaths. No, you are as much of a bystander is your own world as the squirrels who bury their nuts on the battlefield and the birds endlessly fleeing from the sounds of battle. Perhaps, like them, you only wish to survive. Or perhaps you wish to help those around you; The fellow bystanders hoping not to end as collateral damage. The Plunderers Guild offers such opportunities. It is perhaps the lands first ever legal criminal organization, based on a technicality of local law no one has the time to adjust: Stealing isn’t legal in any of the kingdoms, of course. That’s clear enough, yet it doesn’t account for a technicality. While a conflict between two kingdoms is in effect, the disputed area, and wherever battles are fought, seizes to belong to anyone. You cannot steal something that doesn’t belong to anyone. “Plundering” describes the act of taking things from battlefields, yet it doesn’t actually qualify as stealing. The things you’re taking don’t legally belong to anyone. Now, it is illegal to be on these battlefields without a valid reason. Aside from being there for battle, there have never been valid reasons…until now. Timore, a kingdom towards the center of the continent, has been steadily losing land as they are fighting battles with kingdoms all around them. While treaties are being drafted, people are still losing their homes in order to have more space to battle. Under pressure from its people, the crown declared that any of its citizens may enter the battlefield if their former homes are now in the no-mans-land. This is where a very witty band of former criminals founded the Plunderer’s guild. Most common folk don’t have the courage or skill to enter the battlefield and return alive, yet, if they have the coin, they can pay someone to go in their place. The guild has strict guidelines and code of conduct, although not everyone follows those rules and how much they are enforced depends on which hub you are hired through. You are hired by the Plunderer’s Guild closest to the Eastern Border of Timore where battle rages with the Elven empire of Turve. Located in the town of Dolion, this hub of the guild is run by a Goliath know as “Ghun”. You are summoned to receive further instructions for your retrieval quest from him at the “Plunderer’s Tavern” at noon. How to join: Now that you have read everything, you may message me on here or directly on Discord @ “jaycy336”. Wherever you message me, please include your name, age, pronouns, experience level and what sparked your interest. I will then ask you some more questions and possibly request to briefly call so I can check your microphone.

⚔️ ASHVANE — A WORLD WAITING TO BE WRITTEN > *“The world is already moving. The question is whether you move with it… or change its course.”* Hey! We’re looking for players to join **Ashvane**, a homebrew fantasy world built around **politics, war, factions, exploration, and player-driven storytelling.** Ashvane is a dark and gritty world inspired by the likes of **Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings**, but with its own setting, history, factions, cities, conflicts, and secrets. 🌍 A WORLD YOU HELP BUILD Ashvane has a living world with established factions, cities, political tensions, wars, and ongoing conflicts—but not everything is written in stone. Some parts of the world are intentionally left open. **Why? Because your character gets to help fill them in.** Your backstory isn't just something the DM reads and forgets. Your character's homeland, connections, ambitions, enemies, allies, and history can become part of the world itself. The story isn't simply something that happens **to** your character. **You help decide what happens next.** ⚔️ YOUR ACTIONS MATTER Ashvane is designed around player agency. There isn't necessarily a predetermined path you're expected to follow. You can make alliances, pick sides, create enemies, pursue your own ambitions, get involved in faction politics, ignore the main conflict entirely or accidentally start one of your own. The world will react to what you do. **Your choices have consequences.** 🛠️ HOMEBREW & PROGRESSION The campaign also features several custom systems designed to make your character feel like more than just their class: * 🧙 **Homebrew Items** * 👹 **Custom Monsters & Creatures** * ⚒️ **A Full Homebrew Job System** * 📈 **Job progression and training** * 🎭 **Character-focused storytelling** * 🌎 **A world shaped by player decisions** The **Job System** allows characters to develop skills outside of their normal class abilities. Through training and experience, your character can become better at different professions and develop a more diverse skillset over the course of the campaign. Want to become a better blacksmith? Train for it. Want to learn another profession? Work toward it. Your character can grow in ways that aren't limited to simply gaining levels. 🌑 LOOKING FOR... If you enjoy **dark, grimy fantasy**, political intrigue, exploration, character-driven stories, and campaigns where the DM doesn't hold your hand through a predetermined plot... **You'll fit right in.** Whether you’re a veteran player or completely new to D&D, **beginners are welcome.** Come with a character, a backstory, and a reason to enter Ashvane. We'll build the rest of the world together. Interested? **Send me a message!**

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
The era of mortals is coming to a close. Time, once a flowing and vast fact of life, is being eaten away by a divine stasis known as The Fog. More than half of the planet and its people have been swallowed by it now, leaving a sparse few beacons of light in the ever growing darkness. Our story begins in the 11th month of the year 3046PS, roughly 60 years after the first sightings of The Fog, as one of the final refugee ships from the west dock in the port city of Punto de Partida. Snow falls upon our fated party as they’re engulfed by the anxious city and its people, having only themselves to fend for against a world nearly frozen. You, dear survivor, live while the timer of the end ticks down. What will you do in the final years of mortals? Will you spend them ignoring the inevitable and indulging in what little comforts are left, or will despair halt you even before stasis arrives? Or maybe you have hope of a miracle, be it from the gods or crafted by your own hands. Just how much, I wonder, would you be willing to lose to save the world? [This campaign is set to be a long-term, slowburn story focused on character development and roleplay. Much of its world, people and cultures are open for players to imagine and make their own, making it perfect for players who love world building and crafting intricate backstories. The story will cover many of the expected topics for a pre/mid apocalyptic setting, as well as heavy themes such as classism, genocide, xenophobia and racisim/speciesism. Other sensitive topics may be covered barring any content that players can choose to veto; my goal as a DM is to make an immersive and realistic world while showing utmost respect to my players while doing so.]

Ruleset - 2024 5.5E DnD When - Wednesday, September 16th from 7pm - 10pm eastern time Where? a private discord server that I will send you the link to if you want to play We will be using Discord to play and also owlbear.rodeo for mapping and battles. This is a one-shot but I am looking for somebody who would like to play in a longterm consistent campaign.  If you enjoy yourself in this one-shot, the following week we'd hold a Session Zero for a longer term campaign.   I look forward to gaming with you.

Planar Prison

Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
This game is played Wednesday from 6pm to 930pm EST. A bit about myself,I am in my late thirties, and have dm’d off and on since high school.  When I learned to play the game was still built around the dungeon, so that is what I do.  The challenges within the dungeon are yours to solve however you see fit, so long as it at least kind of makes sense, I give it to you.  I am also not highly punitive of malformed plans, provided the party isn’t being stupidly reckless. I use point buy for stats, and hp can be rolled or average taken, your choice.  The game is 2024 rules and content only. Tend towards rules as written, the rule of cool is all fun and games until a monster uses it on you.  Also DM’s that randomly change stuff after you’ve built your character suck. The game is a level 9 dungeon crawler with some puzzles and hopefully innovative combats.  Not a good game from brand new players  because of the level nine start, multiple magic items, and some tough combats including some custom monsters. There is some puzzle solving in the game as well, intended to challenge the players more than the characters.  The game is a new build of mine and is somewhat ambitious so there may be some wrinkles left to iron out. Follow the rule of thumper, “if you can’t say something nice, don’t say nothin at all”. The game is played on Foundry vtt, no purchase or account setup is required for you, using discord for voice with no video.  The party size is four, and the game is in english because that’s all I speak.  Their website has a demo to see if you like the look of it and to make sure your computer doesn’t give you issues when trying to use it. The game is on Wednesdays, which Wednesday we start depends on how fast I get four players.  Be patient as this time slot isn’t the best for some so it may take a bit. The hook for the game is as follows. A great mage was imprisoned in the Planar Prison, in fact it was built specifically for him centuries ago.  He has broken free and the party needs to go into the prison and charge up a Ring of Planes, attuning it to each of the 15 planes the mage can freely travel to without expending any magical energy.  This will allow the party to chase him across the planes. Portals to each of the planes exist within the prison, and when the mage is inside, his planeswalking is restricted to the small areas of each plane these portals connect to, which is how the prison keeps him inside at all.  Much knowledge about the prison has been lost, but it is known to have the material plane, its reflections, the shadowfell and feywild, plus the four inner planes air, fire, water, and earth.  There are more, but it is not known which ones. The mage is immortal, but if the party can knock him unconscious inside the prison, it will seal him back in.  The Ring of Planes when fully charged can summon the mage with the gate spell.  The mages name is a closely guarded secret to stop people from trying to free him with said gate spell, and will only be given to the party when they are ready to fight him. If you think you are up to the task, then meet at King Gallants castle the morning of the spring solstice and you will be equipped for the task. Gods be with you heroes. If you are interested fill out the form below, all players must be 18+. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScbbhOZwizEPfN_TYI7HUOyKovWvZ0jt8IC0ZOLbmmfPJOibQ/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=112129187192701314531

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
The campaign is going to revolve around the Mournlands of Eberron as it has recently shown signs of expanding, even the this slight expansion imposes great concern over the nations requiring pooled resources and a dedicated team (you) to investigate this phenomenon and possibly find a way to stop it. This is the barebones summary as more will be explained in a session 0 later next week on Saturday same time as the normal sessions will be.

The Forgotten Forest - Text Based Game (PBP)

Deep within the woods remains a place that maps nor scholars can agree on; it is nothing more than a legend to them, an impossibility. But to you? It's unavoidable. For whatever reason, your feet have now brought you to the edge of the Forgotten Forest… You recall that time moves differently here. It was told to you in stories throughout your childhood, the resting place of faerie magic. Travellers who have sought out the forest but never returned. Was it because it was dangerous or because it was so beautiful they never wanted to return? You remember the tales describing the forest as a paradise for the mythical. Fairies dancing in the twinkling sunlight, great dragons that soar for miles without fear of being seen by the outside world, and creatures thought to be long extinct. What has brought you here? What do you seek? What will you do?  Example From Game:  You now stand at the threshold, the grass shifting from a dull green to a vibrant, glowing emerald. The air smells of jasmine, honey, and cedar. You have found the sanctuary of the old magic… But the woods are completely silent now. As you look back, you realize this is the point of no return. You notice a faint humming in the distance, as if the forest is calling you. Do you answer? What to expect? -Immersive Mystery: your backstory will directly connect with the story -The Shift: high fantasy with dark secrets -PBP: text based story telling and game play -Game Time: mix of "live" texting and asynchronous gameplay -Balance: 70%RP/ 30%Combat

The Land Beyond the Fog

Hello, I'm Bartek and I dm a soulslike homebrew DND campaign, heavy roleplay and engaging combat. With a very immersive, and active homebrew pantheon. The players are now at session 3 of the campaign and about to enter some catacombs, however 2 of our players have had to leave due to their own personal lives, giving us 2 extra slot This is the prologue the players received in session 1, to give you the vibe of the campaign. The fallen leaves tell a story... Of a land beyond the fog. Before kingdoms. Before war. Before the names of kings were carved into stone... There was Vita, Mother of All. From her hands came the first trees, their roots piercing the untouched earth. From the trees came the first plants. From the plants came sustenance. Then came the beasts of field and forest, given breath beneath the newborn sky. And at last... Vita created Man. But there was only one. His name was Vex. The First Man. In those earliest days, Vex was a gracious ruler. He built where there was nothing. He nurtured what was fragile. He gave order to a world yet untouched by war. And beneath Vita's watch... His people prospered. Yet life, once born, does not remain still. Vita bore within her the promise of three children. And where there is creation... It must cast a shadow. From the darkness cast by Vita's own existence came something that bore but one name. Umbrosus. The Eternal Dark. It dwelled where sunlight dared not reach. Beneath roots. Beneath stone. Within the forgotten places of the world. At first, it knew nothing of Man. Nothing of Vita. Nothing of the tongue spoken by living things. But it watched. And it learned. Slowly, Umbrosus crept into the dwelling of Vita. It learned the language of its creator. It listened to the voices of her children. And in the stillness of night... It heard the beating of Vita's heart. One heartbeat. Then another. Then... three more. For within the Mother slept the unborn children of the world. Mortuus The Golden Child. Distortus. The Forgotten Son. Enchidna. The Mother of Monsters. Three children. Untouched by the world's cruelty. Three souls destined to inherit the Mother's creation. But Umbrosus reached them first While Vita slept... The shadow entered the womb It did not kill them. It did something far worse. It left within each child an ember of itself. A darkness that not even the Mother's light could wholly extinguish Kings may bury their crimes. Civilizations may burn their histories. Gods may attempt to erase their mistakes. But time continues. And eventually, time reveals all And so... The children of Vita were born carrying a fragment of the shadow. And now... Our world bears the weight of it. But where there is shadow... There is light. Light that finds its way through the cracks. Light that refuses to die. Light that does not merely shine... but roars And now... There is only one question left. Dear adventurers... Will you heed its call? If your interested in joining please either DM me or leave a comment. :)

Displaced Cans

The story is set in a world with 4 distinct nations, each with their importance in and out of the main story, ranging from a massive nation built on a large city, to a divided nation of high mountain dwellers to grassland and desert inhabiting nomads. This campaign has been running for 1 and a half years and i'm looking for a player to join. This is a mostly homebrew world with a homebrew story, with a few house rules just to make the game more enjoyable (notably i decided to axe casters only being able to cast 1 spell on their turn, e.g. Fireball then Misty step being allowed). This dnd uses DnD beyond for the making of sheets and gameplay but uses roll 20 for the visual side and battlemaps. We are also using discord for talking amongst eachother, so only real requirement is that you have a mic, that is all. The party is level 11 and as such you'd be starting at their level, it consists of a Monk, Artificer and a Cleric. There was another player but they've taken a temporary hiatus and the other player has essentially gone awol, hence why im looking for another player. I've been a DM/player for around 2 years now, with my players also playing dnd for around 2 years, we are all around the same age (16-17) . If you wish to join, simply reply with your discord user and a lil bout yourself, favourite class and whatever else you wish to say.

Moonsetter: A Project Moon D&D 5.5e Mini-Campaign

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
M Corp. Residing in District 13 of the City, and the pinnacle of mental and psychological care. Nowhere else will you find psychologists and therapists more qualified. Whether you're suffering from run-of-the-mill struggles, serious mental health conditions, or something more esoteric, you will find no better treatment than within one of M Corp's mental care institutions. …If you're well off, that is. The Backstreet slums of District 13, as is typical for all districts, doesn't get to taste the fruits of its parent corp's labour. Mental health services in the Backstreets are underfunded, neglected, and ineffective for dealing with the City's ails—with one exception. Moonsetter Clinic, founded by an ex-researcher of M Corp, seeks to bring the cutting edge of mental care to the people who most need it. Since its establishment three months ago, it has become a venerated, almost sacred institution to the Backstreets residents. Dozens of people each day walk into the complex, and walk out changed for the better. Even some of the Five Fingers have taken notice, and gone as far as to enforce it as neutral ground exempt from their bloody turf wars. It is a bona fide miracle. You don't buy it. Oh, you had your suspicions before: nothing that good ever graces the Backstreets without some strings attached. But there's also a personal reason behind your mistrust. You know someone—friend or family, colleague or simple acquaintance—who is a frequent patient of this place, and they recently went for their usual check-up. Maybe you even accompanied them to the lobby. It's been days, and they haven't returned. Your suspicion turned to surety. You quickly came across others who shared your experience, banded together, and decided. There is something rotten about Moonsetter Clinic, and you are all going to get to the bottom of it. Introduction Hi there! I am Nope (22, he/they). I hail from the far-off land of New Zealand, and I've been playing and running TTRPGs for close to 9 years now—mainly D&D 5e and 5.5e, but I've also dabbled in other systems like Pf2e and Lancer as well. I am also, as the title might indicate, a big Project Moon fan! This mini-campaign was made to combine two of the interests nearest to my heart, and is hopefully the start of a larger anthology of adventures set in the City. If you're not aware, Project Moon is a Korean indie game studio that creates games set in The City: a cyberpunk dystopia with fantasy elements. Life is cheap, violence is banal and commonplace, and corporation rule unchecked. In terms of vibes, think office workers in suits or streetwear fighting with store-bought swords and back-alley augmentation procedures, living paycheck to paycheck. Familiarity with this setting is not required for this mini-campaign; the plot will be pretty self-contained and won't make many references to the wider Project Moon canon. Details - System: D&D 5.5e, with some homebrew to adapt it to Project Moon's setting. The necessary homebrew is actually quite light (just 9ish pages) thanks to the City arguably borrowing more from high fantasy than conventional sci-fi in its worldbuilding; thus, the majority of translation is in reflavouring abilities and classes rather than bespoke custom rules. You can take a peek at the homebrew I plan to use here. - Level: Probably around 5-7, to be discussed with players during Session 0. Level-up is unlikely, given that this is a single adventure. - Time: Sunday 2pm fortnightly, GMT+12. Sessions will run from 3-4 hours. - Starting Date: My goal is to hold Session 0 sometime in early-mid October! - Length: 4-6 sessions, as a very rough estimate. More likely to be longer than shorter. - Players Needed: 4-5 - Platform: Foundry for VTT, Discord for communication Requirements - Age 18+ - Have a decent mic and a stable internet connection. - Have some decent experience with D&D 5e or 5.5e, or be willing to learn quickly. - Be willing to be earnestly invested in the campaign, and in each other's characters. - Be prompt and timely in showing up to sessions; give advance notice of a few days if you're not able to make it. - Don't be a bigot or an asshole. - No use of generative AI; I'm not a fan. Further Considerations - This is an LGBTQ+ friendly table! If you're not comfortable with that, go elsewhere. - The following topics will be covered: classism, mental health, medical malpractice, slight body horror. - The campaign will likely have a focus on combat and social interaction, with limited exploration. - This campaign is intended to be serious, but not misery porn! There will be ample space for jokes, light-hearted moments, and goofiness in general. - Combat difficulty will aim for 'challenging but fair'. I'm not interested in playing every encounter absolutely optimally; enemies will act based on their personalities, goals, and the current situation. As a DM, my priority is for combat to be fun and engaging, while still maintaining actual stakes—notably, this means non-zero chances of character death. - The setting of the campaign is not perfectly 1-to-1 with the Project Moon setting, due to D&D's mechanics and structure. The biggest divergence from canon is that magic as it works in D&D exists in the City and is well-understood and utilized as just one of many pathways to gain power, alongside technology, augmentations, and sheer competence. - Project Moon's stories are very character-focused, with emphasis on personal trauma, character growth, and facing your fears to achieve self-actualization. Include the word sun somewhere in your application. While the scope of this mini-campaign means there probably won't be much in the way of formative character arcs and development, I want to keep that focus on character-driven personal stories that Project Moon is known for. - My hope is to run this mini-campaign and others like it (some set in the City, some with their own bespoke settings) to build a community of like-minded players, with whom I hope to establish a long-term TTRPG gaming group! - I am technically a Project Moon larper LMAO (haven't played any of the games, got into it purely through watching playthroughs and wiki-diving) Applying If you want to apply, fill out this form! Once I gather enough respondents, I will shortlist a number of potential players and schedule interviews with them over voice call on Discord. After that, I will select 4-5 players to invite to a Session 0, and hopefully from there the campaign will begin!

Secrets Long Buried

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
So it took me longer than expected but i am finally getting stuff together for my own campaign. Maps and minis and stuff. I would prefer to have players who can commit to regular play but i can easily work with absences due to the nature of the campaign. I am still looking for around 60/40 roleplay/combat.  I am willing to do a short one or two session adventure in my setting if people want to feel things out first. I intend to rent out the private room for sessions. I don't know if this matters to people but I have 0 desire to use AI in any of my campaign so if that matters to you there you go. A summary of the setting and what's going on as relayed by Arius, the figure with the bow in the images:  Long ago, when gods ruled the land, and men sailed the sea, when the earth trembled and the sky broke, a great beast rose up in the shadows, and cast the world into perpetual twilight. As the shadows grew long, horrible monsters rose from them. For many long years, the gods fought against this darkness, but they struggled. They cast their holy light upon the beast, but the brighter it burned, the darker the shadows became.  Finally, in the year 482 of the common era, Lifskona, the goddess of the sun, queen of the heavens, made a deal with the men of the sea. They would be allowed dominion over the land, in exchange for driving the beasts away, so that the gods could direct their power towards their true foe. Man would be blessed with great magic to aid in this war.  Their attention no longer divided, the gods soon succeeded in binding their foe, and banishing him from the mortal realm, ending the long twilight. It was not so easy for man. Even with their new power, the tribes of the sea struggled to gain ground against the monsters we call the Drak.  What the gods percieved as a short conflict was a multigenerational war of attrition. Neither side gained ground and the fields of Flodlan ran red with blood.  It seemed the violence would never end. Many considered returning to the sea, and a happier world. It was only 20 years ago that the Namea appeared from the south to lend us their aid. Mysterious and wise, they turned the tide at the brink of defeat, and together with the men of the sea, pushed the Drak west into the desert.  Ram Anu, our king and the man who led us in that final push, rode back different. Nobody who rode with him will speak of what occurred.  6 years ago, the king rode out again, to end the Drak menace once and for all. He has never returned.  If that piques your interest, let me know. I know i've posted about this twice now. It's just taken a while to get things going.

The Orcus War: The Deadfall

Welcome to The Orcus War: The Deadfall. Yesterday, the world was normal. Today, it is not. Overnight, the Deadfall arrived, a creeping blight that drains life, warmth, and memory from everything it touches. The sky is paler. The air is colder. The dead are not staying dead. Something happened in Chult. An ancient witch doctor named Mursai has risen, and the heroes who tried to stop him fell. You know fragments of what came before: a half-orc paladin, a grave robber chosen by the Raven Queen, a wizard marked by a hag, and a warlock who lost everything. They fought, they died, and they bought the world one day. A sage named Renzox escaped the Fane of the Night Serpent; he knows what must be done and is in Waterdeep, waiting. A tiefling bard survived a massacre at Blackwood's Fortress; her mind may contain something useful, but she doesn't remember it. The noble bloodlines of Waterdeep carry the curse in their veins, and their blood may be the key to undoing it. The previous party failed, but their failure was not meaningless. They left a path. The hammer is waiting, and we are looking for players who can create a new character that shares a deeply woven connection to this unfolding story. To ensure you know what you are applying for, please listen to The Orcus War actual play on the Paradox Storyforge YouTube channel before submitting your application. What kind of character concept are you thinking of bringing to this campaign? Application Form: https://forms.gle/FcBbLk4zRzxnxwUCA

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Welcome to Glemmerrúm, a free in-person, kid-friendly beginner D&D campaign in NE DC on Sunday afternoons. We are looking for some beginner players to explore the Glemmerrúm, a collaborative, home-brew D&D 5.5e campaign, designed for kids (9+) and adults to play together. Characters will start at Level 3 and progress throughout the campaign. Anyone under 18 who wants to join will need an adult playing/present with them. The game is in-person and will take place every Sunday afternoon in NE DC, from September to December. Once we have six players confirmed, we’ll set up a Session Zero next week, before the first session Sunday, September 13th. While this is my first time DM-ing a full D&D campaign, I have run numerous D&D one-shots. Please complete this form to join us: https://forms.gle/dbE7TqkToFecrREd6 -- Cheers!

Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
Welcome. This is a playtest for Lost Mine of Phandelver. If your application is accepted you will be a part of the first group to set the baseline for this world from start to finish. Help me polish this adventure and your characters may just be immortalized in some way. Expectations: - 4 or 5 players - Starting at level 4, playing from levels 4-9 (its normally designed for 1-5) - Aiming for Monday Sept 14th with an optional 'Session Zero' Monday Sept 7th if applications fill fast - 1 Free roll of stats, 4d6 drop the lowest, otherwise pointbuy (Please declare it in Roll20 chat) - Vanilla Forgotten Realms Dnd (mostly using rules from 5.5e, 5e classes and the like are allowed) - Open to a 5e rules playthrough, applications will determine. - Focus on questing and combat (think Tactician level difficulty) - Aiming for 20 sessions (with distant options to get into DoIP or ToA. Shattered Obelisk was considered but not my style) - For character backstories you will be assigned secrets (as seen in the adventure IDRotFM) but I am flexible here. - Downtime, IC conversations, shopping, etc will be encouraged over discord and less in game. - Possible monster card game if I have time. (Defeat a monster, gain their card, cards can lvl up, play NPCs for keeps, etc.) No players under 18 No homebrew or Unearthed Arcana. No primarily evil characters at the start (may revisit this as the campaign progresses) Most books are allowed (list in discord) If you have a question about some popular combos (shepherd druid, coffeelock, conjure woodland beings, etc) I am flexible If you have a question about some item combos (bag of beans, equipping a familiar, illusionist bracers, etc) feel free to ask Write Gygax in your application so I can see you read this. Some brief homebrew rules (not the full list): - Level ups by milestones - Flanking, but only for Rogues - Anyone can grapple on an op attack, including enemies - Rest casting ok, but incurs 1 lvl of special exhaustion that cant be mitigated till next longrest - Cant benefit from a full rest in armor (unless Warforged or Autognome, etc) - 2 of the 8hrs rest can be done awake, however, staying awake in camp requires Con check - Starting gold may be rolled once in Roll20 chat. - Inspiration has ways of being earned (see discord) - Write the name 'Greenwood' in your application for free inspiration. - You may sell unneeded items at half price but need to wait till in game to buy stuff, initially. - Death saves are rolled in private (But, characters 5ft away can make a free medicine check [DC 12]) - Characters preforming help action requires proficiency for the respective ability check. - We will try not to dogpile skill checks, but I may ask multiple characters for the same check - Druids can equip metal - Using surprised condition from 2024 - Orc NPCs are evil bc Grummsh said so, Halforcs can be any alignment (players can still play anything with any alignment) - S, M component discrepancy mostly ignored if you have a spell focus. V components can be no quieter than a 'chant' About me: -Around 2000hrs experience, with limited one-shot GMing -Completed LMoP, SO, ToA, OOtA, DoIP, WDH -Heavily played in SKT, Planescape, IDRotFM, DragonLance, Scarlet Citadel, BG3 800hrs+

Open World DnD group

Experienced and friendly game runner looking to start a new group, prefer at least 25 years old. I have been running games for people from all over the world for over 45 years. The Ashen Crescent

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
What kind of game is this? This is not a casual dungeon crawl. The campaign has already begun, the party is currently level 7 and mid-way through the first act, and we are seeking new companions to join the story as it continues to unfold. The Ashen Crescent is a long-form, ambitious D&D 5e campaign inspired by the Third Crusade, told through a lens of faith, prophecy, and political intrigue. Imagine a holy city where banners of rival religions hang side by side; where incense and blood mix in the same streets; where ancient relics, half-remembered prophecies, and bitter oaths drive men and women to fight, pray, and betray. Set in the grand desert city of Elarah, you will step into a world of: Crusade-era conflict: rival faiths clash over relics and scripture, each believing salvation is theirs. Early medieval aesthetics: swords, shields, banners, cloisters, and bazaars. No very high fantasy tropes. Magic is semi-rare and mystical. Low fantasy, high stakes: the miraculous feels sacred, not common. Politics and belief matter as much as steel. Moral ambiguity: there are no clear villains, only zealots, survivors, mystics, and opportunists. Or so you think... The factions are: Luminari — the Sun-faith of order, dawn, and light. Sulahim — scholars, jurists, and fire infused desert camel-lords. Yeshari — cunning keepers of covenant, memory, and exile. Wayfarers — silk road traders, mystics of prisms and hidden paths. Your choices shape the city’s destiny. Who you kneel to, who you betray, which side you protect. All of this carries weight. The System & Tools System: D&D 5e+ (characters tracked on D&D Beyond). VTT: TaleSpire. Custom 3D maps and set pieces (requires a PC with semi-decent specs). This entails that either you have the $24.99 version of the game (Steam), or you are able/willing to buy it. Also, you will need a mini (best created in Hero Forge). Please adjust for that. ⚠️ Important ⚠️: This campaign is essentially a paid-level production offered free. I am building custom TaleSpire boards, art assets, lore documents, and immersive narrative arcs. Because of that, I expect the same level of seriousness/commitment from players: punctuality, reliability, and a willingness to roleplay. Seriousness doesn't mean no fun allowed. In the end, we all seek the escapism and fun found withing D&D. Seriousness instead means commitment, and reciprocating the same effiort I put into giving you this story. Schedule Main Session: Saturdays @ 5:00 PM EST Fallback: Fridays (same hour) when attendance issues arise Sessions are multi-hour, roleplay-heavy, and story-driven. Combat will be present, but when it hits, it HITS! What I’m Looking For I need players who will commit long-term. Respectfully but firmly: if you are just looking to scratch a quick D&D itch for a couple of sessions, this is not the game for you. This is a campaign built to last, and every time someone leaves, it disrupts immersion and damages the living story we are building together. This campaign has been going on for around a year, and it doesn't look like it will end anytime soon. Use this as reference to the commitment you will be making. I’m seeking: Reliability & punctuality: Respect everyone’s time. Commitment: Stick with the campaign until its conclusion. Since this story has already begun, reliability is even more important. New characters are stepping into a web of alliances, rivalries, and prophecies already in motion. Ambition: Players who actively pursue goals and drive the story forward. Love for roleplay: Dialogue, tough moral choices, faction intrigue. Good mic + capable PC: Technical reliability is part of the immersion. How to Apply If this speaks to you, especially within the scope of commitment, send me a DM or post a comment with: Name/Age/Timezone Confirmation you can commit to Saturdays 5 PM EST (Fridays as fallback) Confirmation that your PC can run TaleSpire + mic confirmation Your D&D experience (new/casual/veteran) A short character seed (2–4 sentences: motive, flaw, and which faction intrigues you so far) Why you’re looking for a long-term campaign, and why does this one resonate with you From there, we’ll schedule a short Discord interview to ensure compatibility. This isn’t meant to gatekeep. It’s to protect the story, the group, and the time we’re all investing. Why Join? Because The Ashen Crescent is designed to feel like stepping into a living chronicle. Think the Crusades retold in a D&D world. A city of temples and markets, faith and blood, prophecy and steel. If you’ve ever wanted to be part of something epic, morally complex, and richly atmospheric, this is it. If you’re ready to swear your oath and carry it through to the end — Elarah awaits. Here synopsis about most of what has happened so far: Each of them crossed the Kesareth Desert alone, drawn by purpose, faith, or something they could not fully explain. Their paths converged at a Wayfarer caravanserai, where strangers became companions out of necessity. From there, they set their sights on Elarah, the sacred city at the heart of the desert, said to be a place where prophecy, power, and belief all collide. Days into their journey, the sky erupted in a storm of falling stars. The heavens burned with unnatural color, and those who witnessed it were forever changed. A crystal-like mark formed on their right forearms, alive in ways none of them understand. It reacts. It pulses. It seems to answer to something beyond them. When they finally reached Elarah, they found its gates sealed. The city had already begun to fracture under the weight of its own faiths. Forced to slip inside through the sewers, they were met with a truth far worse than rumor. Elarah is not simply tense. It is unraveling. Within its walls, four competing faiths struggle for control, each convinced they alone hold truth. Law is enforced with severity in the Ink Row, where rulings are swift and often merciless. The streets are filled with unrest, quiet fear, and the sense that something inevitable is approaching. Amid this instability, the players found footing with the Red Company, a powerful mercenary force tightening its grip on the city. They offer work, protection, and information, but never freely. Every favor has weight, and every agreement draws the players deeper into a web of ambition and control. After making a rash decision to stand for their morals, the group feel the consequences of their choices. Hunted by half the city, and narrowly escaping a close brush with the punishment hanging over their head, they leverage what little favor they have left with the Red company to arrive at the four pillars, the birthplace of a faith that spans the known world. There, the party found both a new truth and a new purpose under King Baldwin. Following the command of the King, the party sets sail into the Levantine sea, heading into Anatolia to investigate the lack luster support given by one of the holy orders to the defense of Elarah. On their way there, the captain screamed for the party and crew to man the defenses, chaos erupting as they scramble: fumbling over ropes in the cramped deck; on the horizon: three ships appearing on the horizon, sails raised at full mast, rushing into combat range. A grueling sea battle ensued, ballista cracks and screams filling the air; through skill, planning, trust, and faith the players managed to barely escape with their lives at a great cost. Now stranded in the middle of the sea, exhausted, lost, and clinging to life; the players will be tested in a hostile and unforgiving environment; surrounded by miles and miles of deep water, they must find a way to their destination. Or at the very least survive. The party stands at a crossroads. War is no longer a distant threat but an approaching certainty. Each faction calls for loyalty. Each path carries consequence. The question is no longer whether Elarah will change, but who will shape what comes next. And whether this fragile alliance of strangers can survive long enough to choose.

We are a group that has been playing for the past 6 years and are looking to add a couple of new players. We have been playing in a long-running Star Wars campaign, but are about to switch to either a D&D 5.5e adventure or a superhero adventure. We love to play all sorts of games such as Star Wars, D&D (Nimble/Shadowdark), superheroes, Shadowrun, as well as many others! We meet at my house near the Hwy 36 and Sheridan exit. Everyone brings lunch and chats from about 1130 to noon. Then we play from noon to 1600. We play ever Sunday. Our table is LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈 safe and friendly as well as anti-MAGA. Feel free to text me or email me with questions. We are looking for people who are serious about gaming and having fun, and who can be consistent.

In my campaign Adventures of Locklore, the concept is that its an open world campaign that takes place in the fantasy world of Locklore. The campaign will have players go on countless adventures that get harder and harder as they level up. From simple goblins and thieves to fighting full on multiversal threats this campaign is perfect for new players and veterans alike. To play you need an account on Roll20 and you need discord.

Kings over Ignia ( level 1-6 adventure )

A level 1–6 D&D campaign set on Ignia a remote tropical island where the party begins lost and shipwrecked and cut off from the outside world, developing into unlikely heroes over the course of an Exciting Journey. Expect a mix of wilderness exploration, village intrigue, lost strange ruins, moral choices, and a semi open Sandbox branching story where the party’s decisions can significantly change how the campaign unfolds. if you played Lost mines of Phandelver expect a similar vibe to progression and overall idea of time and expectations. about me , Howdy, im Azurion and am a dm with two currently running long term campaigns, like Dungeons and Dragons and Daggerheart alot, and after testing out some starter campaigns and never feeling fully satisfied, had the wish to construct my own version of one, meant to teach dnd concepts while still delivering a fun and unique experience where player choices matter. i would be glad to welcome five new player into this game :). I’m choosing players based on group compatibility rather than first come, first served, so feel free to apply as long as this post is still open. System/edition: D&D 5e 2024 Online: online, over roll 20, using discord for Bookkeeping, chatting and music etc. Schedule: Friday, 20:00–23:00 Germany time Europe/Berlin . Frequency: Biweekly games lasting about 3-4 Hours. Starting date: Session 0 should be ideally done beforehand over chats and vc talks , starting date would be 18.09.2026 , which will have a session 0 + session 1 experience ( aka pregame discussion over everything) . Players wanted: Five players, New players are welcome. I’m happy to teach, but I expect you to put in some effort between sessions to learn Roll20, understand your character sheet and the basic rules of DND 5e, and become familiar with your class and abilities. Age requirement: content will be relatively PG-13 in terms of content , but i would prefer you being 18+ to avoid any issues. Homebrew or module: Homebrew Campaign length: Several Months, 20 - 30 Sessions taking you from level 1-6 Gameplay balance: aiming for 40 Roleplay / 40 Combat / 20 exploration. Tone: Lighthearted Heroic Adventure in a quaint but threatened Island, closest would be a teen- adventure novel or series like Avatar / owl house in terms of overall tone, evil exist but the people are nice and tone should remain somewhat light. Player agency: Semi Linear - Sandbox, meant to be approached and to open up to your choices, even if the sandbox it offers is comparatively small. Character creation rules: All races except Flying races ( Aarakokra and Owlin ) are allowed, all classes that are official are allowed, dont power or metagame the game is meant as a more baseline starter campaign and will offer little challenge to a overpowered pc. New players requirements: if your new you need the following to still joing ( look into roll20 and fully create atleast a sheet of your pc , not dnd beyond integration ones please, willing to know your classes and the games basic rules , this can be learned in a free 40 page paper on dnd beyond. Decent Audio equipment and somwhat ok PC is also needed. if you played even one campaign on roll 20 , you should be ok doing this. VTT: Roll20, Chats over Discord Language: English, i however am from germany , expect a little awkardness , englisch isnt my main Languange Attendance expectations: Reliability is by far my biggest requirement. Missing occasionally ( though not too often ) with advance notice is understandable; ghosting or unexplained absences will result in removal. Table rules / behavior: NO PvP, metagaming, murderhobo behavior, disruptive characters, etc, this is a friendly and Heroic Adventure game where you are expected to work as a team. Content/safety: No Heavy Gore, No Homophobia and Racism of any Kind, all explicit content will be fade to black, romance is restricted to what could fit in a disney movie. Evil PCs are forbidden. What you want from players: Consistently showing up , RP engagement, teamwork, backstories, knowing the rules of your own character. this campaign expects you to be heroic and to want to help people , Evil PCs are forbidden and neutral is ok but likely may lack the same enjoyment you get from being good in this game. About you as DM: 2 year experience, ran following campaigns : Dragons of Stormwreck Isle, Lost Mines of Phandelver, Curse of Strahd, Wrath of the Glass dragon, my main homebrew setting in which this game also takes place , its a remote island nearby. Application: send me a message , i invite the ones i see as interresting to chat over discord. please include -- What should I call you? Pronouns Age / confirmation that you're 18+ Country and timezone Your D&D/TTRPG experience Your Roll20 experience, if any What are you looking for in a D&D campaign? What do you enjoy most about D&D? What do you enjoy least about D&D? Any rough character idea you currently have, if any Confirmation that biweekly Fridays, 20:00–23:00 Europe/Berlin reliably works for you

Crooked Moon (Foundry VTT 5.5e)

Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
Looking for 2-3 more players — The Crooked Moon (Foundry, 5.5e, online) Hey folks, Two players + me as DM, looking to fill out our table to 4-5 for The Crooked Moon. Quick note, yeah it's a "scary" campaign, but I'm not running gothic horror, this isn't Ravenloft. More Grimm farytale spooky-adventure-with-stakes than Ravenloft's "Gothic horror" doom and gloom, spiraling into maddness. Table's got jokes, nobody's precious about tone. What we need: can commit to (nearly) weekly sessions (life happens, we get it, but "shows up when convenient" won't work for the group). Know 5.5e or willing to learn it (it's not hard).  Never used Foundry before? No problem, it just means less time fumbling with rules and more time actually playing. Good mix of combat, exploration, and RP (were not super serious about "getting into charachter, but have fun), and the maps, charchters and stories are genuinely well made (thats not a brag, check out www.kickstarter.com/projects/legendsofavantris/the-crooked-moon-folk-horror-in-5e. One more thing so it's not a surprise, a 4th friend pops in as a guest every few sessions when his schedule allows, think of him as someone who (hopfully) shows up when things get really bad. Were planning on starting in about a month when we finish our current campaign, but the way things are going it might even take 2...  If that sounds good, feel free to hit me up on Discord me and let's talk.

Hey everybody! I'm a long time DM/GM looking to put together a party for DnD (or similar ttrpg system). I'm open to players of all sorts, experience levels, time zones and the like, as long as we can make it work for everybody!  At the time of posting this, I have zero seats filled. Looking for 3-5 players. If you are intersted and we connect and get you in the group but it doesnt vibe with you or something doesn't work out, no heart feelings.  If you're a diehard DnD player, I'm probably not the DM for you. I love being a bit more loose with the rules and allowing for player creativity, using DnD as a foundation. I'm very theatre of the mind. With that being said, I did pay for a platform called Foundry VT that is very nerdy and detailed with interactive maps, character sheets and more. We'd use that (players dont pay anything) and discord for playing and talking. Not a requirement, but for informational purposes I'm in the U.S. and in EST. If you're interested or have questions, please hit me up! Look forward to hearing from you all! I'll keep this post updated if/when (hopefully) seats get filled.

Inferno A Dante's Inferno-inspired D&D 5e (2024) campaign — looking for 2 players System:D&D 5th Edition (2024 rules) Platform: Foundry VTT + Discord (voice) Players needed: 2 Schedule:Saturdays, 9pm GMT+2 Session length: 3–4 hours --- You died. Minos judges, Minos sentences, and you spend eternity exactly where your worst act put you. No appeals, no exceptions. Except somewhere between the shore of the Acheron and the judgment you were owed, something went wrong with the paperwork. You're still unsorted. And someone with more to lose than you'd expect is willing to walk you through Hell itself for a chance at a real hearing instead of an automatic sentence. This is a story-driven, character-focused campaign about facing exactly what put you here, with enough combat, danger, and infernal politics along the way to make sure you don't get there easily.  What to Expect - Psychological and personal. Each circle of Hell mirrors something true about a character, not just a themed dungeon. - Still a full D&D campaign. Real combat, real stakes, real chances to die twice. Infernal contracts, hellish factions, a warzone feel in the lower layers. - Character-driven pacing. Story arcs are built around the party's choices and backstories. - Session zero. Before we start, we build the world and your characters together, including what each of you actually wants out of a game about Hell.  About the Table DMing for 5+ years, mostly 5e, running games that lean heavily into roleplay and character backstory over pure mechanics, though I know the rules well enough to bend them when the story calls for it. Exploring the horrors of war in Falkovnia!

Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
G'day g'day! I'm Kregler! You can call me Jasper or Jazza if you really like. I'm 21 and would consider myself a fairly intermediate DM, having DM'd on and off over the past 3 years for short stints- though I have been playing MUCH longer. Just to establish some expectations as to what I'm looking for in players... I'm seeking a group of people who are within my age group. Meaning over 18 and preferably under 30. This will be a fairly average sized group of four players, with a focus on combat and roleplaying in the combat, with a strong focus on the party's dynamic. Just a thing of personal taste- I find AI character art to be VERY jarring and it honestly just breaks my focus, so please don't use it, I'm happy to help you find alternatives. Also, please for the love of the Lord, do not use AI to generate your backstories. Sessions will be hosted at 5:30pm AEST every Saturday, either weekly or fortnightly depending on the general preference. If you're in an American or European timezone, you very well may struggle! Planning on starting a Session 0 on the 22nd of August, with Session 1 on the 5th of September. You will all be starting at Level 3! Anyways... some info on the setting and campaign. Falkovnia is a Ravenloft setting, with a LOT of zombies. Characters will originate from a Faerun that is far more grim to fit the theme. Expect an intense amount of combat with endless hordes of the undead and an exploration of the very human horror of war. As for your characters... The black shadow of War has always hung over you. The hatred upon the faces of foes you've slain, the death-rattles of your family slaughtered in a raid, or the tears you have wrought in shattering families by your own atrocities. Mayhaps you've tried to escape it. Mayhaps you've accepted your lot. Mayhaps you could never live without it. An incredibly lucrative offer in a wartorn land leads your characters to the eternally burning forest of the Château de Levagneux - the sight of a terrible massacre. A noble man from the local Kingdom desperately clutches at the idea his family may yet be found, even if that means sending fodder down the rabbit hole. Something terrible hides in the thick smoke and cinders, none of the locals dare go near, for those who do oft never return. It draws you further in, still. A part of you - more ancient then your spirit or soul - can feel what is beyond there. Its all too familiar. Application link below! https://forms.gle/L9qfa135raMjupbLA

New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Welcome to ODIN, the Order of Dimensional Intelligence and Neutralization. You are a Judicar, an elite field agent assigned to a special team known as a Vanguard. Your missions will take you across the last surviving planet in the universe, where you will investigate, document, contain, or neutralize dangerous anomalies. How you handle each anomaly is entirely up to you. Study it. Negotiate with it. Contain it. Destroy it. Taste it to see if it has a chocolate flavor. Accidentally make everything worse. ODIN trusts your judgment. Usually. Think the SCP universe meets D&D 5e, with fantasy, science fiction, eldritch horror, firearms, strange investigations, and occasional chaos. ALSO: You have a plant scorpion turtle cat as your companion. So you know the level of weird you can expect. Session Details: Beginner friendly Biweekly on Sundays 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Eastern Time Approximately 3.5 to 4 hours per session Discord for voice Foundry VTT for maps, combat, and gameplay Approximately 60% roleplay and 40% combat POC and LGBTQ+ friendly English will be used during the game, but banter in other languages is welcome. Players must be 25 or older because of the mature themes. But happy for someone to join who is 21+ so long as they are aware of the themes and ideas. Genres include fantasy, science fiction, horror (eldritch and cosmic - so consider that a warning), comedy Campaign requirements (the boring, but vital stuff): Be friendly, reliable, and invested in the campaign and its story. Respect everyone at the table. Hate speech, discrimination, harassment, or privately messaging other players without their permission will not be tolerated. There will be no second chances for serious violations. Campaign features (the fun stuff): You can create almost any kind of character. A vampire elf? A werewolf artificer? A gun-toting raccoon with unresolved emotional problems (essentially Rocket Raccoon). Yes, you can. Just discuss your concept with me first so I can approve it (and it doesn't read like a God/Super Saiyan character). There are guns. Pistols, revolvers, sniper rifles. Plasma gun. Also, gun modifications. Hey, it's the future. Classes and subclasses? Sheeeee. There's a lot of them (Mystic is already taken though).

You and other people got locked up for a crime (that you may or not have commited). Recently a new method of punishment was put on practice where prisoners who had some potential go do quests and things that would be to dangerous to risk precious knight lifes, so instead, prisoner scum like YOU gets sent to do those dangerous mission. Best case the problem gets solved and you can be ready to  solve other things, worst case you die, but its not like your life matters rigth? Of course you will not be be doing this without payment, however your payment does not need to be gold or silver, you can instead request that your sentence be reduced from a couple months to even some years. You can decide to follow the rules and comply like an obedient dog or you can rebel and(maybe)suffer the consequences. We ABSOLUTELY accept new people, will love to teach you(im not omniscient though). We will be using Discord VC for calls, and Owlbear rodeo as VTT(Virtual TableTop), you can do your characters sheets wherever you like. I am COMPLETELY AGAINST AI, do not come at me with AI generated characters, if you need an image for your character use heroforge or draw it by hand, I dont care, just DONT USE AI! LGBTQ+ friendly

Hey my names Jack and i have been a DM for a long time. Being a Dungeon Master is fun, but of course as a DM you also want to be the Player yourself in some Campaigns. This is what this game is for. I am looking for 1 other DM who would like to take part in a Round Robin style of Game with the rest of the existing group. Round Robin is where each Player gets a Turn to be the DM. 1 Person DM's a Story arc or Oneshot dependent on how they feel and then the next Person takes over and the Person who DM'd gets to play his Character. For this game i will be using Discord as Voice and VTT Foundry as the tabletop. a Webcam is not required. We are strictly against AI Art and want no use of it in our games. We are also supportive of LGBTQ, if you do have problems with either of these things dont even bother messaging me. Requirements: 18+ Years of Age Fluent in English Time once per Week for a 4~ Hour Session Saturday 20:00 GMT+2 A Good Microphone (with no Interruptions in the Background) The game will take place in European timezone and we cannot change this.

Maeve: Of Delegates & Dragons Fire

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
For a millennia, the Dragonborn have toiled as mere cogs in an uncaring machine. Whether under their creators in the Hydra or under the Dragons who came to inherit their world-spanning Empire. Gods, old and new tolerated this mortal dynamic of slave and master, of second-class citizens at best. Never has a Dragonborn ruled as their own. Never, before the King of Maeve was felled by one. The Morning Revolution has finally swept over the Kingdom of Maeve in its entirety, with a Dragonborn-led provisional government quickly being formulated in its wake. Though the Revolution has been won, what comes after still lies in heavy contention, as factions who once had united over the Royalist threat now stand divided over faith, ideology and purpose. Should a new monarchy be instated, or would a Republic serve the people better? Should Dragons retain their noble privileges to appease the realm’s external enemies, or should they be punished for their centuries of oppression? These questions and more will have to be answered as representatives from all seven of the realm’s provinces convene in the capital of Elira to create a new constitution and draw up the future of Maeve. Or it’s doom… _ Maeve: Of Delegates and Dragons Fire is a political intrigue DnD 5.5E campaign set in the world of Ruel, dominated by Dragons and now in seeming competition with the Dragonborn. Barely a month has passed since the death of King Nyrent Cagan and the declaration of the Provisional Government, yet forces internal and external have already begun to chip away at its foundation. You are a Dragonborn and a delegate of the Maevan Plenary, the Provisional Government’s legislative wing. Having participated in the Morning Revolution, you are about to arrive on the outskirts of the capital with five other fellows you’ve formed a deep friendship with in the fires of the conflict. The days ahead will be as difficult as they are dangerous, as you’ll need to push your agenda in the Plenary. Traveling across the realm in-between Plenary sessions to advocate for your position, manage political and economic crises as well as to prepare the already ravaged country for the possibility of an even greater war on its doorstep. If you enjoy the idea of nation building and politics in an active world that responds to your actions, this is the game for you. Be prepared for potentially heavy topics such as oppression, repression, and all the other woes that come with statecraft. Not all player characters might be aligned on a given topic, being traditionalists, liberals, magocrats or anything else. The entire party however will have the collective goal of retaining Maeve’s continuity and independence. Technologically, the setting fits 15th century Western Europe. A bit about the game and logistical side of things: _ **System:** DnD 5.5e **Platform:** Discord for Voice, FoundryVTT for Battlemaps, Character Sheets and so on **Starting Level:** 3, Milestone Leveling **Schedule:** Weekly, Thursdays nights starting at 7:30 PM EST and usually going on until 10 - 11 PM EST **Age:** 18+ only! Ideally someone who is in the age range of 20-30 or so, as that's about the range of everyone at the table currently **Vibe:** A serious & mature game with a lot of roleplay, though we like to keep a rather fun and friendly OOC atmosphere at the table. **Party:** Currently we have 4 other players and one other who will only be there on occasion. The party comp consists of a Monk, Warlock, Cleric, Bard and Paladin. We are currently searching for one other player or at most, two. _ What I'm looking for in a player: * Someone who fits the vibe as stated above, who is an avid note-taker. * Someone who wants to make a character and get engrossed with them, who will remember the names of the NPCs from their tragic backstory as I incorporate said backstories into the game itself. * Someone who's experienced with 5e and / or with 5.5e. * Someone with a good quality mic (bonus for knowledge of how to use Foundry but not required). * Someone who is able to separate the character from the player / GM. Everyone at the table are friends, even if you might clash in-game. * Be open to homebrew! I do a lot of homebrew on my end, from making custom magic items and skills for my players to whole new monster stat blocks and other mechanics, I'm a big fan of adding on to a system. This is about trying to investigate several things, firstly, there seems to be a goblin army amassing in a ruined old dungeon, but also rumors have been spreading in the area about the Gulthias tree, a magic tree said to bear fruit that cures all that ails you.  It will be levels 2-3.  I'm looking to run a game starting at 2am or 3am (EST) and run it for like 4-5 hours. No day is hard picked yet and everyone I have yet has a flexible schedule as per what day.  This will likely be combat orientated since it's a regular dungeon from a book that I've tinkered with, but I've tried my best to make it fun. You'll need to have a discord for a voice chat and a Roll20 account to play, because I have the adventure all set up on roll20 already.  Any skill level welcome, I will even help make characters!

I'm usually the forever DM but I have been in a slump recently and I know that what I need to get out of it is to go back to my roots and be a player. I'm looking for a group of 3 to 4 other players and a DM to play with me and I'd love to make some new friends aswell. I would love a campaign with a good balance of combat and roleplay but I also want roleplay to be an aspect in combat. I can work with essentially any genre (EX: Horror, high fantasy, political intrigue)

LGBTQ+ friendly

The internet can be a dark place for players. Finding a group to play with it hard. Maybe they do not accept the player for who they are. Perhaps it is run by tyrants. Maybe against all odds the player found a diamond in the rough. Then discovered it has more rules than 5e does. The grind has taken over through countless downtime activities. We know why players come here. They had some great character idea, but kept getting told no. That is not approved content or some such thing is banned. Welcome to Osiria. A place players can call home (private channels). Where all players are treated like adults and are expected to act as such (18+). We accept all players for who they are (LGBTQ+). There are no character slots. Our rules are as simple as possible because WoTC has created enough. All content on dndbeyond is approved and available (really!). Staff is friendly, active and helpful. We operate like an open world campaign. There is the opportunity to join official one shots ran by our GM's or you can explore it yourself (self-gm). Players can progress at their own pace. One-shots will have an appropriate level range and will offer milestone level(s). Players can also self level every other Friday. Not a West March or Living World. We are building a homebrew world for our smallish group to play in. We are essentially a large open world campaign. We are looking for game master's (gm) or those who wish to learn. You will not spend the majority of your time as a gm unless you want to. We do allow players between sessions to self-gm. We are looking for players who want to be part of this world we are building too! We do want it to come to life and for that we need players. I am writing a book and building a world for us to play in. The server will contain some official areas, some server areas and some player owned areas. The server is not meant to be canon to the book. We are looking to grow a tight knit community. We want you to be active whether in-game or in ooc chat. We have taken some elements of a WM that make the game easier. Like multiple characters. You might want to explore each of the three main story plots. Or discover the 3 hidden dark paths. If this sounds like something you are interested in being part of this. Please send me a chat request.

Tales of Acaridian: Moth to a Flame

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
Moth to a Flame — A D&D Campaign The first act of The Tales of Acaridian Wrath has ruptured amongst an elder reality, destroying everything and bleeding its corruption into ours. Acaridian is a simple world of fantasy but not at the mercy of its own chaos. We are set in the desert of Anibuah, a land of dune and scorching rays of heat and herds of vicious monsters, the land is threatened by orcs and elementals as the dragons slumber begins to break from chains beneath, a titan that must remain sealed and now our party is here in search for a lost relic, one which may prevent the titan from awakening, but first they must find the hall of judgement, where the elder god Judge had imprisoned Diablo the dragon titan of ages.. Moth to a Flame focuses heavily on: Exploration with rich worldbuilding, deep lore, high fantasy, cosmic horror and meaningful character progression. Evolving combats and boss encounters, as well as cosmic wonders and chances, the bigger the parties influence, the stronger the enemies. This campaign has a unique Homebrew Rune System, using charts to grant creatures runes based on words forming their own unique element with its own rarity and authority over other rune power. Runes is a massive concept for the Acaridian Series and is a great way to explore creativity. I use homebrew feats to impliment abilities and google docs for stats, its simple but it can be a little overwhelming at first, but trust me once your in the flow, its amazing. Important notes: We are LGBTQ+ friendly but we aren't sensitive friendly, if your not a fan of loudness, dark humor, etc, then i do not suggest you join our group Age span would prefer between 18-30 years old I would prefer all members to have a somewhat flexible time, for if we ever decide to extend our sessions longer or need to change our sessions times And lastly, be able to operate dnd beyond, owlbear rodeo, and talk in call on discord The Session Times: AEST UTC+10 Saturday and Sunday 9:30am-1:30pm In CST time i believe thats 6:30pm-10:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post! have a great day adventurer.

Our world used to be normal. That was before a small, fanatical cult of demon worshipers ripped open the fabrics of reality, violently dragging pieces of alien dimensions into ours. In doing so, they shattered everything we once knew. They unleashed horrific, unseen creatures into our eco-system, and even the familiar animals and insects of our world have been permanently mutated by the magical fallout. Survival here means constantly fighting the cult's influence, uncovering the mysteries of this fractured reality, and protecting the innocent people you meet along the way. Amidst the chaos, remnants of humanity have gathered in isolated villages, desperately clinging to the fading science and technology of the old world. Living alongside them are displaced extra-dimensional refugees who were dragged through the rifts. These travelers are teaching us their magic, fusing ancient science with alien mysticism so we can finally rebuild. Living monsters weren't the only things dragged through the rifts. Power-infused runes, lost old-world technologies, and alien treasures are waiting in the wilds. You just have to survive long enough to find them. Campaign Details

I am looking to run a 3-4 hour session. This will be played out of foundry VTT. All experience levels welcome. I'm in my 30s so I prefer players that are at least 20+ The start time is 9:30 AM PDT (16:30 UTC) on TUESDAY - This will start as a one-shot and level 3 characters and if all goes well will be a full campaign. - SETTING The setting is in the middle of a sand desert. Many oasis outline the area and these are heavily protected. You and the rest of your group come from one of these Oasis locations or a surrounding village. That place that you come from doesn't exist anymore because a nomadic tribe had come in and destroyed your home. They said you are a Zero now and you should be grateful that this honor was bestowed upon you, "you're part of the greater woven path." They chained you amongst a hundred others who are now pulling the front of their caravan. This caravan is built from many smaller metal carts chained and bolted together which create this larger vessel. You all pull this giant metal cart amalgamation together and have been for the past several weeks. You hear jingling amongst the cart. From the various noises and conversations you hear you could tell each cart is filled with various trinkets, resting areas, armories, treasures, and the aroma of food. That aroma you’ve been smelling everyday is not the same aroma that is fed to you by the end of the day. It is the left over slop all piled together that fills you up. It’s a luxury given to you compared to the back of the herd who pulls the caravan and who are more likely than not living corpses, they don’t eat. Eventually you presume that will be you, but luckily that isn’t you now. For the short lives you’ve known in this tribe, you’ve never heard of anyone being demoted to a Zero. That is until today. A man dressed in white silk clothes is lashed, stripped of his adornments, and chained next to you. It doesn’t seem to bother him at all really, the only noise he commits to are words he mutters as his judges fix the riggings, “Aasteri will be displeased to what you are doing today.” - either dm or reply below the following info. If you get ahold of me on discord let me know your groupfinder username so I can easily know if I've talked to you on this site >>> discord: junka111 Name/Nickname: Age: Experience: Basic character idea: (Name, Age, Race, Class (Subclass if you already know), background, personality) Feel free to link a photo if you like. But such knowledge came at a price. The Great Dragon War was fought over decades, until humanity developed the Dragon Modularity Gear.  A weapon so powerful it ended the war immediately but at the cost of tearing the world in half. That was over a Millennia ago. Now with advancements in technology and miraculous luck the gap between the 2 halves of the world has been traversed. And the other half of the continent has been discovered. You and your team have been tasked as a hybrid research/exploration team to gather specimens, explore the lands and figure out what happened to the first expeditionary team. What awaits you on the Lost Continent... We have had a player drop, so we are looking for someone to join soonish. I have videos of all our sessions as well as notes i can give you if you want to know more about whats happened so far. Current party consists of a Paladin, Warlock, Artificer, and Cleric. If you have questions or think this sounds interesting and want to join please DM me. You would be coming in to an already established game.

Hello, Festenia is a typical yet lovingly crafted classic fantasy Setting made by me and a lot of player input, with aspects of exploration and political conflict. We are a ongoing campaign but due to work one of our players had to leave for a unspecified amount of time although they might rejoin much later, and one player that initially wanted to join changed his mind. We made it to session five , and session 6 you could join us! Currently the party consists of a Phantom Rouge, Light domain Cleric and a psy warrior both level 3 which you would be joining us at too. Players are incentivized to come up with a cool character using the 2024 Dnd rule set, content not yet ported over and other sources like hombrew are fine but require you to ask me first. I would describe the campaign as around 65% roleplay and 35% combat. You can use whatever character creator you prefer, the game will be running over roll 20 tho. Also if you don't have any fancy art don't worry that's not a requirement. Sessions are weekly on Saturday 7pm cet, and last for 3 to 3 and a half hours. This scheduling is airtight so if you can't make it then we might not be the group for you.  Actually joining the main campaign would be possible from September 26th onwards, (scheduling bla bla) although participation in a one shot is possible earlier (to perhaps check out my style of dming),  About me I am a first time dm but I believe I have found myself in the role quite nicely. The players are all adults and prefer to only play with people that are of age, we are all in the range of 19-23.  Enough organizational stuff now a couple words about the Setting and world:  Festenia is made up of 8 diverse countries with two of them, The trade fedaration, a conglomerate of individual coastal countries, and the Dristin empire, a existing military power house, currently at war.  The other nations now have to decide on wich side they want to position themselves or if they want to follow their own paths and so do the heros on their journey. The Party Just arrived in Hedgegarden a town in the kingdom of Berenstein, a nation of magic and ruins, neutral in the conflict till now although a dragon attack in the latest session potentially might change everything.... (More setting info will be available to those that are interested.) The campaign itself is generally pretty open ended and pretty light hearted with some darker moments, I also always try to design combat dynamic if possible.  We hope that you might Join us! Write me a message if interested.

A team of Santa's elves manage to escape the workshop warzone and recruit a party of adventurers to go take back toyland. Can our heroes muster enough cheer and joy to make sure all the good girls and boys get their holiday gifts? Playtest
The game is still being tested, and your feedback is part of the point.
I need a few brave souls to help playtest an adventure I'm writing for the DMsGuild. You'll get a copy of the PDF when I release it and your name in the adventure. Individual sessions shouldn't take more than 3-4 hours and all I ask is for a short paragraph of feedback after every session. This would just be a playthrough of the one adventure. No more than 3-5 sessions.

Hail and well met, adventurers! I'm going to run the intrductory adventure Dragons of Stormwreck Isle. I will accomodate up to 5 players. See below for the adventure synopsis and details. Summary "Ages ago, benevolent metallic dragons imprisoned a rampaging red dragon beneath the ocean floor off the shores of what is now known as the Sword Coast. Her fury at being imprisoned was so great that it triggered a series of underwater volcanic eruptions, giving rise to Stormwreck Isle. The dragon’s powerful magic left a permanent mark on the island, drawing other dragons to its shores and turning Stormwreck Isle into a recurring battlefield in the ancient conflict between good metallic dragons and evil chromatic dragons. Many a mighty dragon has fallen here, each leaving behind a spiritual scar that continues to affect the island in strange and unpredictable ways. Eventually, from the immanent strife of this battleworn island, a haven of peace grew up. Dragon's Rest, a cloister of hermits and ascetics led by Elder Runara, now resides on the island, serving as a sanctuary for those fleeing a life of violence and seeking reconciliation. But the ageless conflict between metallic and chromatic dragons continues to threaten the serenity of Dragon's Rest, and Elder Runara needs your help in at last bringing peace to its shores." The adventure is intended as a one-shot, but I plan to run it as a mini 3-6 week campaign. It will take your characters from levels 1-4 Game System DnD 5e/5.5e Concept This game takes place in the Forogtten Realms, a classic high fantasy setting filled with the well-known races of humans, dwarves, elves, gnomes, and more. The adventure specifically takes place just off the coast of the continent of Faerun. Travel is dangerous, magic is prevelant, and the setting has a long, rich history, which means adventurers have a lot to live up to!  Aim The purpose of this adventure is to help Elder Runara resolve various magical anomelies which are affecting the island and disrupting the peace of the cloister. Therefore, whatever their backstories, your characters must be willing and motivated to participate in the adventure.  Character creation rules: - Permitted sourcebooks include: 2024 Player's Handbook, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Heroes of Faerun, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, and the Sword Coast's Adventurer's Guide (Legacy options are not allowed) - Standard Array or Point Buy to generate ability scores - Starting equipment only - Non-evil aligntments only (I'm interested in running a games for heros, not murder-hobos) Time Zone: Canberra ACT (UTC+10) A virtual one-to-one meeting with me is required before a player is accepted into the campaign. As a DM, I lean towards the Narrative side of this game. I'm more interested in cultivating an interesting story for your character not a game for your build. I also frequently use Theatre of the Mind. So if you are a mechanically/technically oriented player, this is not the game for you. New and experienced players are both welcome.

THE EGYPTIAN BLACK SUN 1943 CE, Just outside of New York City. The sun has gone black. Variant of Wild Beyond the Witchlight

LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
About Us **Real-life matters** There is no payment required. We are LGBTQ+ friendly and welcoming. Looking for someone over 18 as adult language is used. This is a fun game where players jump in and out of character, play off of each other and by the end of the session we aim for everyone to have a good time. If you are hard-core RP this is probably not the game for you; similarly, if you just want anarchy or a complete homebrew open world for you to main character, you should also look elsewhere. We are casual players and a (self-described) relaxed DM running custom or tailored modules that blend together for an overarching custom plot. This is an established group that had a member drop to IRL issues and we are looking to refill the roster. Most of the membership knows each other and this group has run ~9 years with constant weekly sessions with minimal player drop/swap. Everyone is now 30+ years old (though it is hard to tell sometimes). The hope for any player joining us is that they will continue to be part of our playing group for as long as they choose to participate. We play on Roll20 but use a private discord for voice communications, campaign tracking, memes, etc. Video is not required or used by anyone else at this point. Game time is Friday @ 6:30pm EDT/EST weekly but there’s usually a few in discord ahead of time. Sessions run with a quorum of 3 players. **In-game matters** As obvious in the listing, we are running a variation of the Wild Beyond the Witchlight module (with its own tweaks including a level 13 start). The campaign begins next Friday (08/28/26). Leveling is milestone based meaning when the party progresses through the storyline, they gain levels. New characters are always equal leveled to the party and come in with equivalent starting gear. Characters are made using the PHB +1 model; meaning you can use anything in the PHB and 1 other official source book for your character building (No UA). Some other minor character creations tweaks such as a background trait related to the larger plot that will be disclosed to those joining us. Backstory may have to be collaborated on a bit to work into the larger plot but I am more than willing to accommodate. Every character is a member of an existing in-world guild. **The Party** The current party consists of: a Fighter, Warlock, Cleric, Monk and Druid that walk into a bar; they are the joke. **The DM** Him/He/His I have played TTRPGs for over 2 decades and maintain a Pro level Roll20 account. In RL, I am married and work as a career firefighter. I am from the Northeast US and *Liberal* would be an adjective used to describe me and my views. An example of a hard RP limit for me is that I am not comfortable with RPing any sexual violence. I am more than willing to help newer players and take a very laid-back attitude towards things in general. Application Process If you are still reading, excellent! If you skipped to here and didn’t read the above, you will probably fit in great with the party but please read the above first (I used the word quorum and everything!). Please respond telling us about yourself in whatever detail you feel comfortable sharing. How long have you played TTRPGs? D&D 5E? Have you ever DMed? Have you played or read the module before? Are there hard limits on what makes you comfortable RPing? What pronouns do you use for yourself? Are there important answers you have to questions not asked? Tell me! If you want to private message me or speak in a non-public forum that works too, it will not affect your chances to get in. Are you an evil warlock looking to supplement your patron’s diet of souls, the nature loving druid seeking to spread peaceful coexistence, or maybe a DBZ character? Whatever it is, please include your character concept in that same separate post/DM as above. Include Race, Class, Subclass, etc. and general idea for the character. Next phase would be a 1 on 1 discord meeting to go over some things (session 0ish) to ensure that everyone is okay with the situation.

Seven Days Until the World Ends

A strange prophet approaches the party and tells them: "The world ends in seven days." Nobody believes him. Then the moon disappears. The next day, the dead begin walking. The party has exactly seven days to discover what is going to happen and stop it. The catch? Every time they prevent one disaster, another becomes worse. And the prophecy says that one member of the party must cause the apocalypse. Vibe: Fast-paced fantasy + apocalypse + mystery Player hook: Immediate stakes from session one.

Looking for 2 more players — D&D 5e (2024), Roll20, homebrew campaign Hey! I've got 3 players and I'm looking for 2 more to round out the table. Starting level 3, milestone leveling (no XP grinding), running on Roll20. The setting is a homebrew world called Aethermoor — think gunpowder mixing with old-school fantasy, muskets next to pike formations, steam-powered dwarven forges, that kind of thing. There's a big invading empire (basically an unstoppable religious war machine) pushing into the heartlands, and your characters get pulled into it as soldiers, mercs, dissidents, whatever fits your concept — the one thing you'll have in common is you're fighting on the allied side. Fair warning, this is meant to be a long campaign, not a one-shot or a short arc. I've got a lot of it planned out already (world, factions, NPCs, the whole thing), so if you're looking for something with real worldbuilding behind it and you like a mix of combat and roleplay/political stuff, this could be a good fit. A couple of homebrew bits: there's a custom playable race (the Ashanites, the empire I mentioned — playing one means you're a defector, which is its own whole thing), a variant human feat for a mercenary culture called the Veilkin, and firearms are a real part of the setting with some house rules attached. Looking for people who can commit to regular sessions since this is going to run for a while. If that sounds like your thing, drop a message and tell me a bit about what you like to play.

Hi there! Festenia is a typical yet lovingly crafted classic fantasy Setting made by me and a lot of player input, with aspects of exploration and political conflict. We are a ongoing campaign but due to work one of our players had to leave for a unspecified amount of time although they might rejoin much later,  we made it to session three, and around session 5 you could join us! Players are incentivized to come up with a cool character using the 2024 Dnd rule set, content not yet ported over and other sources like hombrew are fine but require you to ask me first. I would describe the campaign as around 60% roleplay and 40% combat. You do not need to own any paid material and neither is paying an artist a requirement. A few words about the setting: Festenia is a diverse Fantasy world filled with all kind of mysteries and conflicts, currently political tensions between the normally peaceful Sitirian trade Federation, a group of multiple small coastline countries united under a central government with the hope of enabling quick, easy, safe and cost reducing sea trade between the multiple landmasses of Festenia, and the Dristin Empire, a nation priding themselves on their powerful military force and powerful political allies that provide them with the most advanced developments in weapon technology.  More details about the setting will be provided upon further interest. Anyone is welcome new players an i are pretty much in the same boat when it comes to playing so feel free to message me, as an info we are all around the age of 19-20. Schedule is absolutely set in stone and can at max be changed by plus or minus an hour. We will be using discord and roll 20.

Hello, Thought I would reach out to invite you to a game we are running on Monday. We need two more players to run it and I thought I would reach out to you. This is an age 18+ oneshot that uses 5.5e rules however the races are animal races. The race traits have been made and there are 7 races to choose from. The world has a rich lore for you to discover and I can't wait to share it with you. Currently I am looking for players to run through a game called Hunter's Delight, A one shot made within this world. I am looking for a maximum of 4 players. This will be my first time GMing an online game but not the first time playing online. It's a bit of a murder mystery but also quite funny too. I am happy for players to create their own characters. The level for the oneshot is level 10, and there are 5 premade characters I can share with you on D and D beyond if you are new to the game. The races we are using are beastfolk, as in animal people, not people who can transform into animals. I hombrewed the races and the race traits are it little confusing and could do with some tailoring so we have decided to use the standard races from DND 5.5e and just flavour the race traits to the seven beastfolk races in the homebrew world. These races include: * Eaglefolk * Vulturefolk *Lionfolk *Cheetahfolk *Hyenafolk and Tigerfolk There are two slots open so please let me know as soon as you can if you can join. I've made it to be fun, quirky but yet exciting and, of course, violent. I have very much enjoyed creating a whole range of NPCs and scenarios and have very much enjoyed producing quite a bit of art for it, especially map wise. It is a game that is roleplay heavy and combat heavy as well. Would love to share this with you if you are available.  Hope to see you soon.

Dawn's Last Five 13+

"Twelve hours of daylight became ten. Ten became six. Six became one. Now, the sun only rises for five minutes a day... and it isn't getting any brighter." The Premise The world is freezing, monster-infested, and falling into eternal twilight. As the sun died, plants rapidly evolved into bizarre, carnivorous, and flash-blooming forms just to survive, while dark-adapted beasts reclaimed the wilderness. There is only one safe haven left on the entire continent: Aurelia, a sprawling mega-metropolis anchored around a colossal, ancient crystal that emits continuous heat and blinding light. Because Aurelia keeps its gates open to everyone, it has become a chaotic melting pot of refugees, opportunists, scholars, and cults—all crammed together under the crystal's glow. Every day, the city operates around The Five-Minute Sprint: three hundred seconds where the sun briefly pierces the sky, crops burst into life, and the monsters retreat into the dark. The Campaign Vibe Genre: Survival High-Fantasy / Dark Mystery / Arcane Exploration. Tone: High-stakes with a ticking clock, but filled with weird, vibrant worldbuilding (think neon-glowing mushroom forests, frantic 5-minute city rushes, and ancient precursor ruins). Your Role: You play as members of the city’s Vanguard—the brave (or desperate) few tasked with keeping order inside the overcrowded city, defending the giant crystal from sabotage, and venturing out into the freezing, pitch-black wastes to find a way to reignite the sky before the crystal dies out for good. What to Expect 🔦 Resource & Light Management: Torches, fire magic, and thermal gear aren't just utility—they're life support in the frozen dark outside the city. 🏙️ City & Wilderness Gameplay: Balance political intrigue and riot control inside the crowded city with intense exploration in the dark outer world. 🕒 A World on a Clock: A dynamic day/night cycle where timing your travel around those crucial 5 minutes of sunlight could mean the difference between life and death. yes, this desc was written by ai, i am lazy.
