Points of Light - a 4e Conversion (1-20)

Hi everyone! A friend and I have recently moved to London and are looking for players for the campaign Phandelver and Below: the Shattered Obelisk in the Forgotten Realms setting. We need 2-3 more people and I am happy to accommodate new players as well as experienced ones. We hope to play every Friday evening at our flat in Colindale for about 4 hours. Here's a little about how i run my games as the DM: - 5.5e D&D (2024) - Plenty of opportunities for roleplay, exploration and tactical combat - A relaxed tone focused on allowing everyone to have fun and be invested in the campaign - I'm a relatively new DM (this will be my 2nd campaign), so a bit of patience and respect will go a long way. As long as everyone engages with the story and each other, I'm sure we'll gel well. - I ask that you make your character on D&D Beyond as we use its in-built VTT for combat, so please bring a laptop or tablet (you won't need to pay for anything don't worry) We are both in our 20s and so hope to find people of a similar age. We are willing to be flexible though, so long as you can have a laugh but also be mature when the scenario calls for it. We are inclusive, LGBTQIA+ friendly and hope to foster a welcoming environment within the group. One man's greed and lust for power led his entire city to be dragged to hell. Now, whoever said hell, can't be fun, hasn't played the Descent into Avernus. This campaign takes everything that you would expect from a game with this name, a small romp through a city that soon leads to a Mad Max style escapade throughout the first layer of Hell. Fighting both demons and devils to save a city. With no military affiliation to speak of, you do this for the love of the game. This campaign is so grandiose that you can fight not just one, but two seperate Gods. Whilst this campaign does take place in Hell. Make no mistake, there is plenty of room for comedic shenanigans. The campaign can be dark and unsettling, but we'll keep the table itself welcoming and enjoyable. 🎭 Roleplay & Character Development Barovia is filled with people who have their own problems, secrets and motivations. You'll have plenty of opportunities to interact with NPCs, make difficult choices and decide what your character is willing to sacrifice. ⚔️ Dangerous Combat Combat matters. Not every encounter is designed to be won by simply charging forward. Sometimes running away is the smartest choice. You'll face creatures that can genuinely threaten your party, and your decisions outside of combat can be just as important as your tactics during it. 🗺️ Exploration & Mystery Barovia isn't a linear dungeon. You'll have freedom to explore the valley, discover its secrets and decide which dangers you're willing to face. 🆕 New to D&D? That's completely fine. You don't need years of D&D experience to join. I'll explain the rules as we play, help you create your character and make sure you understand what's happening.
