Curse of Strahd: The Devil Ascendant

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
The mists are calling. Will you answer? There is a land where the sun has forgotten how to shine, where the dead seldom rest, and where every whispered prayer may be answered by something far worse than the gods. Welcome to Barovia. Beyond the choking mists, ancient evils stir. The villagers bar their doors against the night, wolves stalk the forgotten roads, and somewhere high above it all, a dark lord watches from his castle. But something is changing. Old prophecies are stirring. Strange signs mark the heavens. And the threads of fate are being drawn tighter around those unfortunate enough to wander into this cursed domain. In Barovia, death is not always the end. Sometimes, it is merely the beginning. Curse of Strahd: The Devil Ascendant is a reimagined journey into Ravenloft, weaving classic gothic horror, psychological terror, dark mysteries, and unexpected twists into a campaign where your choices carry consequences—and not every monster is what it seems. Whether you are a veteran of Ravenloft or entering the mists for the very first time, do not expect the familiar to remain familiar. CAMPAIGN DETAILS System: D&D 5E (2014 Rules) When: Sundays, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM Eastern (GMT-4) Where: Roll20 & Discord Session Length: 4 hours Cost: $25 CDN per session (Reduced to $10 CDN until January 1st, 2027) The mists have opened. A place awaits you at the table. Come willingly, adventurer. Barovia has never needed an invitation to claim its guests. After all, the Devil knows your name. Will you live long enough to learn his?

D&D Magic the Gathering-Rabiah

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
System: D&D 2024 Platform: Discord, D&D Beyond, D&D Beyond Maps, and LegendKeeper Schedule: Thursday, 6pm Central Time Frequency: WEEKLY  Session length: About four hours Campaign length: Approximately 50–75 sessions Starting level: Level 1 prologue, with the full party beginning at level 3 Expected ending level: Level 16 Cost: Free Players: I am looking for four players, with the possibility of adding a fifth if the group fit is right. I am putting together a long-term online campaign set on Rabiah, one of Magic: The Gathering’s earliest planes. You do not need to know anything about Magic to play. I will provide a player guide explaining the world, important cultures, major regions, and the situation at the beginning of the campaign. This version of Rabiah is being built as a complete D&D setting rather than a short visit to an MTG location. It has its own calendar, cultures, governments, trade routes, factions, settlements, regional economies, and conflicts that continue moving whether the party becomes involved or not. The campaign begins in Marsa Qamar during the First Open Roads Convocation. New passages have made travel between Rabiah, its alternate Refractions, and other planes much more common. That has created opportunities for trade, travel, migration, and reunion. It has also created arguments over who controls these passages, who may use them, and what happens when two versions of history begin contradicting each other. There is a central conflict, but there is no required route through it. NPCs will give you clear leads and real choices about where to go next. You may work with a faction, oppose it, change its leadership, ignore it, or discover that somebody you trusted had a very different plan. Problems elsewhere will continue to develop while the party is making those decisions. I want the world to feel like it exists beyond the player characters. Merchants travel, families make decisions, factions spend resources, and local problems may improve or get worse without the party. If you save one town, another situation may change while you are gone. That does not mean I automatically choose the worst outcome whenever you ignore something. It means the rest of Rabiah is also allowed to act. The tone will depend partly on where you go and what you choose to do. Some sessions may be lighthearted, strange, or hopeful. Others may become dangerous or genuinely dark. I am aiming for grounded adventure rather than constant misery. The world can be deadly, but I am not trying to trick players into dying. Serious danger will usually be communicated. Planning, negotiation, retreat, local knowledge, and asking for help can matter as much as having the strongest attack. Each player will have an individual Session 0.5 prologue. Your character begins at level 1 and reaches level 3 during that prologue. This gives us time to establish who the character was before meeting the party, introduce some people from their life, and let their early abilities come from something that actually happened. Players will also be able to contribute up to three notable NPCs from their character’s history. Families, former allies, rivals, mentors, employers, and faction connections can become part of the living world. I will work directly with you before using major personal material. Your backstory matters, but it will not be used as permission to do whatever I want to your character. Mechanically, we will use the 2024 rules as our foundation. Approved 2014 material and options from the Planeshifted Guide to Rabiah may supplement them. Rabiah has nine primary playable peoples, including Humans, Ogres, Genasi, Merfolk, Bird Maidens, Goblins, Viashino, Minotaurs, and Brass Men. Other Magic species may also work if we can give the character a believable place in the setting. This is meant to be a cooperative campaign. Characters can disagree, keep secrets, have selfish goals, and make questionable decisions. They still need a reason to travel together and care about what happens to the rest of the party. PvP will only happen when everyone directly involved agrees to it outside the game. Because this is a long campaign, attendance matters. We will normally play if one person is absent, with their character handled carefully as an NPC. If two or more players cannot attend, the campaign session will be canceled or rescheduled. Campaign audio will be recorded so I can privately transcribe sessions and keep accurate notes. The recordings are not for streaming, a podcast, or public release. Players must be comfortable with that arrangement, and recording can be paused whenever somebody needs to discuss something personal or private. If you are interested, send me a message with: Your preferred name and pronouns Your age Your time zone and general availability Your experience with D&D or other roleplaying games Whether you know anything about Magic: The Gathering; “nothing” is a completely acceptable answer What you normally enjoy most in a campaign One or two rough character ideas, if you already have any What about this campaign caught your attention Anything you would want to ask me before committing I am not looking for the person with the most D&D experience or the most detailed character pitch. I am mainly looking for people who communicate, share the spotlight, care about the world, and are genuinely interested in staying with a long campaign. The start date can happen when we find a compatiable crew! I will speak with interested players individually before choosing the final group.

Campfire embers are the last thing you remember. Whether you were traveling alone or guarding a merchant caravan, the wilderness suddenly went dead silent. Then came the masked attackers—too many, too coordinated, and overwhelmingly lethal. Your camp was slaughtered. But you? You were taken. You awaken in darkness, bound in heavy chains deep underground. If you ever want to feel the sun on your face again, you and your fellow captives must forge a desperate alliance, break free, and survive an escape that will spiral into a world-spanning epic. PRICE: $20 (through PayPal or Venmo) / Session —> Session 0 is free and the first official session is 50% off. The price is negotiable, but everyone at the table's gotta pay the same thing so it's fair.   I also offer "bundles" at a discounted rate. WHAT YOU GET: —> you get to embark on a full homebrew campaign spanning from levels 2 to high teens (possibly even level 20) campaign with personal character arcs tailored to your character’s backstories woven in with the overall narrative. —> there is also an artist in my server that will do a frww character portrait art for each new character in the server SCHEDULE: Sundays (weekly) starting at 10am PST. Games will run 4-5 hours. ---> I will be running this game additional days of the week. Players will fill out a quick RPG Comfort Questionnaire featuring a Lines & Veils section to ensure everyone has a safe, fantastic time at the virtual table. OTHER DETAILS: —> To perfectly fit the unique history and regions of Wysteria, your starting character must be a non-PHB (Player's Handbook) species. This only for your first character, —> we will be using the primarily the 2024 ruleset with some favored 2014 mechanics in addition to various homebrew rules that will be discussed at Session 0 Ready to see the sun again? Send a direct message to @acedespadas on Discord or directly here for to inquire for more. If you’re a great fit for the table, I’ll send over the lore primers and everything you need to start building your character! A BIT ABOUT ME: Hello, my name is Aron, I’m 34 and I started playing this game as the forever DM just before COVID hit and have been DMing multiple weekly games since. I am for the most part fairly introverted which this hobby has helped deal with, and while I may not do all the little funny voices (it’s a thing I’m working on) I’m a sucker for the Rule of Cool and a good story! And what better story then one you build together as a collaboration with other like minded individuals?! Outside of D&D my interests revolve heavily around music, movies, and other general nerd things

The Somnium Shard |5.5e DnD| Long-Term Sandbox Wed

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Welcome to the Somnium Shard. A sundered paradise; knowledge, gods and power's all known throughout the land, its history coveted by lost tomes, cosmic knowledge and crazed minds. With earliest carvings detailing a different world that may have been the Shard's muse, the inspiration for reality. However not all could be replaced, and the world's panorama was in its own natural discourse, with the residents at home. With that overly grand intro done welcome to my personal world, a multi-year labour of love that I'm still working on with every session, a sandbox type world for players to discover, learn about and influence as they desire. Designed as an open campaign for players to fit into as they wish, follow the threads of their backstory, or start a questline that leads to them swearing loyalty to a kingdom. Whatever it is you feel you want to do in a fantasy world I'll accommodate it as well as I can. However do not think that this means everything is free, the Somnium Shard is still a living and breathing world, thievery, murder and the sort will have consequences, as will trying to steal that magical artifact. You'll have to contend with mages scrying on you, rangers tracking you and bounty hunters after you if you upset the wrong people. So come and join the adventure, see where your characters can take you, how they can evolve and develop in this world with a DM that can handle whatever you feel like throwing at him. Seems all of you are trapped! Bort Bargrith's caravan clears the way and intent on resupply stop at the harvest storage building. Bort the dwarf rogue, Tamil the elven bard, and Shae the halfling ranger discover all of you. There is a confusing moment when no one can comunicate due to language. Bort provides a magical ring that gives you litteracy and fluency in the Common Andorian language. Bort says, "you must come with us or you will die here! The farmer families who opperated these farms are dead and by salvage rites you lot own all of this Stock. You can join my caravan fleeing Tar Baphon, in exchange for some of your goods."   GM: on the journey you may learn languages, purchase 30 gold of starting equipment, through use of Bort's magic rings and from the mass of refugees in the caravan get training in a trade (earn your background) and adapt to this world (earn your class) in the months of travel south. Setting context (past twenty years): Tar Baphon, the Slayer of Aroden, the Arch-lich, and the Dread Tyrant’s undead armies are marching south. The Goblinblood Wars have recently ended (a united effort by greenskin and scaled races to genocide everyone else). The orc war against the dwarves of the Five Kings Mountains has only recently ended. The hobgoblin Ironfang invasion of Molthune and Nirmathas has recently ended. Cults of undeath, disease, plague, death, chaos and destruction (Urgathoa, the Whispering Way, Rovagug) have been largely decimated, but hidden cultists remain and anyone you meet could be one. A recent witch-hunting inquisition died out, yet public suspicion of spellcasters still runs deep among survivors. A plague on the east side of the nation of Isger killed 70% of the mortal population. Platform: Discord. Voice. I will share my screen. I use Pathbuilder ( $5 to unlock all features, it is helpful if you have it, but you do not need it.). Starting: At a time the players agree on, once I have three or more players. Contact me here if you want to join and play in this Adventure.

Hello and welcome to your first adventure in the world of Dungeons & Dragons! If you want to join a fresh adventure but are not sure where to start, this is the perfect place for you. I am Glacial (gringo), an experienced Dungeon Master with over 12 years of experience running various TTRPGs such as Cyberpunk RED, D&D 5e, D&D 2024 (5.5e), and Daggerheart. Even though I have GMed for many different groups all over the world, my favorite remains Dungeons & Dragons—especially for beginners. I just can't get enough of seeing people discover this game (the best game ever made) for the very first time! I currently host a Discord server with over 40 players, most of whom are currently playing or have played in my games. You are more than welcome to hop in and ask them about the campaigns we've run! We have a great global community with players from the US, UK, Poland, Hungary, Finland, Romania, Germany, and beyond. The Campaign: A Customized Faerûn Experience Now that the introductions are out of the way, let me present you with my completely customized Faerûn experience! In this game, you will have the chance to be part of a story that revolves fully around your character's lore. I take the well-known world of Abeir-Toril and Faerûn—including iconic locations like Baldur's Gate, Waterdeep, Candlekeep, and Neverwinter—and build a brand-new campaign setting after discussing interests with my players. We could go on an adventure all the way to the Thay Mountains to battle the Red Wizards, venture into the dangerous jungles of Chult to uncover the mysteries of a forgotten land, or stick to the crowded, familiar cities of the Sword Coast where adventures are always abound. What You Need to Jump In The only things you need to do are add me on Discord, have a working microphone, and set up a Roll20 account (which I am happy to help you with). I will explain everything else! I will make sure everyone at the table knows how to play, and I will walk you through character creation step-by-step. You need literally zero experience to join. With that said, experienced players are also fully welcome! The cost of the game will be ranging from: $15 - $20 depending on the days we choose and the number of players.  What are you waiting for? Add me on Discord: gringo1380

Grasianil Chronicles[Custom D6 System][Maptool]

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Looking for player interested in custom game system via narrative roleplay and learning the system itself. Grasianil: Custom D6-based system utilizing Maptool primarily, heavily stream-lined to support large, quick battles. Versatility allows vehicles, mechs, and spaceships, utilizing unique mechanics, in-addition to single players. Minimal delays owing to macros within Maptool, utilizing pop-up menus, automatic calculation of damage, debuffs, armor, etc. Highly adaptable, with streamlined rules offering as much complexity as is desired, and based on the setting. Developed by myself and my partner who passed away earlier this year. Supports several original fantasy and sci fi worlds of varying types, from traditional western high fantasy, to detailed low fantasy, from space opera-style sci fi, to more realistic settings. In-addition to original settings not listed here, it has been adapted to: Legend of Zelda Battletech Middle Earth Forgotten Realms Mystara Shadowrun and Cyberpunk Pre-existing settings are not played strictly-canon, but consistency is stressed. Medium amount of experience in RPing requested, as well as an open mind to learn a new system. Maptool 1.11.5 needed, Discord used primarily for all text but other programs are an option, Google sheets used for some settings. Time-zone of GM is US Central. RPing otherwise done via text on Discord, but other options open to discussion. Session date and time variable, any listed setting available, suggestions welcome, inquire in DMs to myself for further details. GM preference for folks interested in creating a story, rather than purely for the gaming. One-on-one only, at the moment. No cost. No absolute obligation. Reach out to natalie7995 on Discord, or via message/email for more information. When reaching out, please send a message via Groupfinder or over Discord.

Sulia

Hey. My DM posted the other day about looking for 3 to 4 players to join in a homebrew world that we've both spent arguably too much time making. The have been DM'ing for the last 2ish years (not a forever DM, it was her choice) and unfortunately scheduling with a previous group fell apart. She just wants to see the story through. It's her child at this point. *We had about 60 people apply when it was posted originally a day or two ago but so many people just haven't checked their* ***discord friend requests*** *for us to get to know you. If you've already applied,* ***please quickly fill the form again or check your discord friend requests.*** **She's looking for at least 1 other woman to join so that she's not completely alone in a group of men.** Currently, we're a team of two F, 31 and M, 32. We want to find a group that mesh nicely together both for D&D and maybe other online games if the feeling takes us. The DM is a shift worker so rather flexible on availability, Ideally, the sessions would be at least two times a month. However this can be determined by the group. **In Short: Onwards from 17:00 GMT every two weeks** **Campaign Tone:** Semi-serious, Mix of roleplay and combat and plenty of time for shenanigans. **Platform:** Discord with mics, application can be discussed roll20, dndbeyond, paper **Starting Level:** Level 1 **Addition Notes:** The homebrew world has a timeline. We initially start in the typical D&D style with that kind of medieval theme but there is also the addition of being able to jump a few thousand years into the future where we have the same base world but we adventure out into space with a modified version of Spelljammer which has Cyberpunk/BladeRunner vibes. So we may additionally jump into this if you're interested or if we need to fill the space between campaigns being made. **The Campaign** The planet we're on is called **Sulia**, a medieval fantasy world full of whimsy is on verge of an ancient threat that has fallen from history, time wiping out all knowledge. Whilst the world is homebrew and so is the main story, we will be visiting official modules for fun, the golden vault, frozen sick. The DM desperately still need to run a beach episode. Pls help fulfil that dream. **What can you expect from us?** Both current players make our own maps, if a map is needed the DM will likely make it. (The world map is a work in progress while we figure out locations and whatever the story needs) Hopefully a good storyline with a detailed world to match The DM may or may not want to form an alliance with you for said shenanigans Free inspiration if you tell the DM their maps are good... And because we're sadly adults and are secretly here to collect your data and sell it to Daddy Bezos, there is a form to fill out. Some of you might already have filled this out. If you have please check your friends requests on discord.  https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeAnSthz3Vk9TyhKdosRGDq3t4kwGsTL7mXI_SVPPlB1TYK5Q/viewform Feel free to ask any other questions either in the comments or through the chat function

Daggerheart | What came after the fall.

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
We are a group looking for 1-2 new players to join us for an upcoming daggerheart campaign that takes place in my new homebrew setting of Insonja. A mysterious supernatural event caused 3/4th of the world's population to disapear in a flash and then the world fell apart to war, famine and monsters resulting in its current post-apocolyptic state. The players are survivors who reside in the former capital of the world's greatest super power, the imperium of Reem. What survived of the capital and the heartland of the imperium was taken over by a cult that worships a group of angelic beings that are known as the Heralds. The rules of the cult are strict and they expect everyone who resides in its domain to follow said rules regardless of own opinion on religion. However the capital of Reem is one of the few safe areas in the world with civilization. Will this cult provide the safety and salvation that it claims to offer, or is it just replacing the chaos of the wasteland with a different form of evil?  This will be my second attempt at running a daggerheart campaign after the last one fell apart due to scheduling issues. The plan is to run the game as long as players keep interest in it. While I am new to running daggerheart I do have plenty of experience running dnd 5e and other systems.  I have a zero tolerance policy for bigotry and bullying. I am on the autism spectrum and we have LGBT+ players in the group. If interested in the game send my a message on discord, my username is billbroston. We will try to schedule a chat with me and the rest of the current group to decide who will be the ones to be invited to the campaign. We plan on having a session at least every other week on Wednesda.

A Dark Requiem for New Orleans

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
You are a vampire, walking the streets of New Orleans, feasting on human blood. Your nights are full of danger, passion and a hunger like fire. Game details Game system: Vampire: The Requiem 2nd Edition Frequency and Time: Weekly / Fridays - 06:00 p.m. PST. Session Duration: 3 hours Price: 25$ per session through StartPlaying, here. 3 / 5 Seats Filled. About the adventure You are a noble predator, a sensual monster, a philosopher of murder: a Vampire. You wake up every night hungry for human blood, not a single day older than the day you died. You walk among the human herd and they pass you by, unaware of the danger they are in. You hunt, you feed, and sometimes, you kill. Misery loves company, they say. There are other monsters in the dark, hungry like you, but different in their particular brand of horror. The All Night Society beckons you to commune with them, to hunt with them, but they ask you so much in return: the very thing that makes you still human maybe, or perhaps another sin for their sinister bucket list. From the raucous parades of Mardi Gras to the quiet power of the board room, New Orleans has something for everyone, provided you're willing to pay the price. Money, power, entertainment, lust... Even immortality. What does your heart desire? As one of the Damned, you belong to one of the five ancient Clans of vampires, each afflicted with a particular strain of the vampiric curse. You may also join one of the five Covenants of the Kindred, dark societies and blasphemous philosophies for the undead that can help you cope with the reality of your unnatural existence. The French Quarter of New Orleans will provide the canvas where this chronicle will play out. But you are not alone in this endeavor! As part of the bigger Chronicles of New Orleans, other groups of player characters will be active and playing on this shared world, as their triumphs and failures will bring consequences that spill over to the other games. Among the many dangers of gothic New Orleans, you will: 🩸 Hunt down rogue vampires that defy the rule of the Prince with their unspeakable acts! 🩸 Navigate the cutthroat politics of the Kindred at Elysium gatherings. 🩸 Curse your enemies with dark sorceries born of blasphemy and blood. 🩸 Explore the supernatural mysteries of the bayous, inhabited by shapechanging devils and horrible hauntings. 🩸 Evade the pursuit of monster hunters that see you as their rightful prey. 🩸 Protect your precious loved ones from the depredations of your fellow monsters... and of yourself.

Halloween Oneshot - The Living Hotel

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello everyone, I'm Winter! I am back with another game idea, this time inspired by psychological horror and an RNG concept I've had. I'm running a special Halloween horror one-shot and looking for a group of players who want to dive into a tense, atmospheric nightmare with me while becoming over-the-table friends along the way. Below you will find the relevant story information, gameplay expectations, and what I am looking for in players. Story Distress letters were sent across the realm for help after a city's own forces were completely wiped out by an unknown threat. the source of the catastrophe has been traced back to a grand, historic hotel in the heart of the city. When you step inside, you realize the horror is much worse than you imagined. the hotel itself seems to be breathing. the walls are warm, the pipes groan like they are in pain, and every single time you open a door, the room itself shifts and changes, pulling from a randomized reality of deadly traps and encounters. you must navigate this shifting labyrinth, uncover what is happening to this building, save the city, and survive the night. Gameplay This will be a serious, narrative-focused dnd 5e horror one-shot built on an unpredictable RNG core. the main mechanic at play within the hotel is a randomized table of pre-generated rooms. when you open a door, your rolls will determine what you face next from a master list of designed encounters, running through a limited but highly intense selection. the potential for encounters includes a mix of combat against various monsters, dangerous traps, and psychological tests. while the oneshot isn't designed to completely wipe the party, it is meant to be challenging. The encounters range from moderately difficult to incredibly deadly, so please come in with the understanding that player character death is a very real possibility. you will need to take every room seriously and manage your resources carefully if you want to avoid dying before you even reach the final boss at the very end. restorative and healing magic is deeply corrupted inside these walls—attempting to use healing magic will actually deal necrotic damage directly to the caster. you will need to rely on your wits, your resources, and your party to survive. Character Creation & Safety Characters will be at level 5, and we will be using Standard Array for stats. We are using the DND 5e 2014 system. Since this is a dark psychological horror game involving intense themes and unsettling environments, safety at the table is incredibly important to me, so I have included a section for everyone to note 'triggers' if you have any in the application. If you are applying, please be comfortable with mature, terrifying environments! Details We will play over discord using roll20. I am in PST, but any North American timezone (PST/MT/CT/EST) is preferred. The session will take place on 10/31/26, Halloween day! The exact time of day itself is flexible and will be decided based on player availability. players must be 20+. As a dm, I love running serious, story-focused games with strong character investment. I know it can be hard to build massive character arcs or deep player bonds in a single evening, but I really enjoy tailoring games for people who appreciate roleplay and a serious tone over a mindless, arcade-style dungeon crawl. I have been DMing for a few years now, so I am not the most experienced. More than anything, I am looking for players who want to be friends beyond the table itself. I appreciate dnd the most when the table feels close, like true friends. Since this is just a one-shot, the time to build that bond during the session is limited of course, but I am specifically looking for people who genuinely want to stay friends after the game is over—whether that's through gaming together or just chilling in a vc. If you are a player who appreciates this style of game and actively wants to build a friendship, please apply below or message me for the application! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScCnwEwJ4t9qGuD1XiF-hSHf5mg5KkgDm38sAUC_bA2RNhxVw/viewform

The Crooked Moon Campaign

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
[The Crooked Moon] The campaign takes place in Druskenvald, specifically the region of Wickermoor Hollow. Druskenvald is surrounded by the Shroud, a mystical boundary impenetrable to most beings. The player characters are a group of newcomers who travel through the Shroud aboard the Ghostlight Express train and battle primal forces in the land while investigating strange events taking place. [Technical Info] We will use The ForgeVTT/Foundry VTT with the campaign module, DND Beyond for character creation (Content Sharing is enabled), and Discord for voice communication and player collaboration. [Session Info] Start Time 3PM EST - 1 Hour Break - End Time 8PM EST We play for two hours, take a break, then come back for the remaining two hours. You may post your applications using the following format... - Player Alias - TTRPG Experience - What is your playstyle? Ex. Heavy Roleplaying, Puzzles, Combat, Dungeon Crawling... - Species/Class

DND 5e 2014 rules - Roll 20 - Free

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
I need 3 more players for a DND Im going to run on Sundays at 8:30pm (NZDT or GMT+13) The game will be set in my own homebrew world. We will be using 5e 2014 rules with some optional house rules. I will be using roll 20 for maps, and Discord for voice (i have a private server). My world is set on a different plane of existence parallel to the mortal plane, all sentient inhabitants are anthropomorphic humanoids each based on a different creature. I have my own pantheon and world history, each race has its own lore. There are some things still to be balanced so don't expect perfection. The campaign will be from level 1-5ish but can continue into a long term game if people are happy to. ----------Please no things like trying to bang every NPC you meet and murder hobo's.---------- About me: I will not pull my punches in combat or in consequences for your actions. I will play each NPC and monster to what it is designed to be. Example - if an assassin is targeting your party and you go down he will attack your unconscious body and finish you off. Example 2 - You are rude or offend a noble or royalty, they will seek to punish you sometimes immediately sometimes subtly it depends. Example 3 - You try to rip of a merchant or shopkeeper, they will then warn others of your actions and purposefully raise their prices or refuse service to you until recompense is made. What i expect: Just be respectful to other players and respect the DM's ruling. Be kind lets have fun. Try to keep the swearing down if possible. Try to share the limelight and include others.

D&D. DM is looking for the players (16-18+)

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Monday - Thursday    A group decides on day & time Most people will probably play between 16:00 – 21:00 (GMT+0) It'll be played in a Discord voice chat "Theatre of the Mind" playstyle (means no VTT) Discord (weebseatshit) *PREMISE* You are dragged into a dangerous encounter together with other unlucky ones. Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's an RP-focused, Forgotten Realms based homebrew campaign, with an emphasis on story & adventures Ratio: 60 Roleplay/30 Exploration/10 Combat Starting level is 1, Point Buy, Milestone leveling Spells become cantrips, a player can cast them without components or GP Cooldown of spells depends from their power level & the DM's will, but if a player is gonna spam spells, i'll Elfen Lied him or put some shit like Leo Bonhart from Witcher  Some spells that affect game's balance & world, may be forbidden. It'll be discussed HP are cinematic. Depending from how much & what kind of damage a character receives, i'll adjust his condition Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) Artificer & Psion aren't allowed I'll describe locations & looks with little to no detail Just like with the books, i'd prefer that every player imagined their own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore) About forbidden spells As an example, this is only level 1 Wizard, but i hope you get an idea Mending Charm Person Detect Magic Detect Poison and Disease Friends Unseen Servant Tasha's Hideous Laughter Sudden Awakening Sleep Sense Emotion Puppet Identify Id Insinuation Healing Elixir Disguise Self Comprehend Languages Cause Fear Ressurection & lethal spells Instead of using ability checks or in-game tools (acquiring unique items, talking to people, searching for clues, improvise), a player casts a spell that speedruns a campaign But a player can prepare all other spells A tystling is similar to a cat Monochrome darkvision Enhanced senses: smell, hearing, vision, touch & balance (+3 Dexterity, Perception, Acrobatics) Soft step: walking is almost noiseless (unless a tystling has something noisy on), running is slightly quieter comparing to other races (+4 Stealth) A tystling is shorter than an elf, but taller than a dwarf A tystling is slim like an elf, but lighter than an elf, with smaller muscles. That makes a tystling even more agile & dexterous than an elf, but it's very hard for a tystling to lift or carry medium heavy things (8 AC, -5 Strength, Athletics)

Blades in the Dark: The Red Dawn

Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
No paid games
On a player profile - you are looking for free games and are not interested in paid ones.
About the Game Blades in the Dark is a tabletop roleplaying game about a crew of audacious scoundrels seeking their fortunes on the haunted streets of an industrial-fantasy city. There are no heroes here—you play as criminals, outcasts, and survivors navigating a grim metropolis trapped in eternal darkness, surrounded by restless ghosts and a corrupt regime. The game runs on the fast-paced, narrative-driven Forged in the Dark system. Instead of getting bogged down in endless math, it focuses on daring heists, flashbacks, creative problem-solving, and dealing with the messy consequences of your criminal lifestyle. About the Crew: "The Red Dawn" We are playing as The Red Dawn, a Bravos crew. While other gangs might stick to quiet burglaries or smuggling, your crew thrives on intimidation, violent enforcement, and direct action. However, you aren't just common thugs for hire—The Red Dawn are freedom fighters fighting the system. You are pushing back against the oppressive authorities, corrupt nobles, and ruthless factions tightening their grip on the city. Expect a gritty mix of high-stakes heists, bloody turf wars, and revolutionary defiance against a world that wants to keep you down. Campaign Status & Who We're Looking For Current Status: We have already played a couple of sessions, so the group dynamics are forming, and the world is starting to react to our crew's actions. New Players Welcome: Don't worry if you missed the very beginning! It is very easy to jump right into an ongoing Blades in the Dark campaign. Whether your character is an existing ally breaking out of prison, a fierce new muscle brought into the fold, or a specialist looking to join the cause, we will weave you seamlessly into the narrative. Vibe: Collaborative, cinematic, character-driven, and focused on having fun together while our scoundrels bite off way more than they can chew. Interested? If you want to spark a revolution with a sharp blade and a stubborn streak, leave a comment below or send me a message telling me a bit about your TTRPG experience and what kind of scoundrel you'd love to play!

Have you wanted to try D&D for a while, but keep thinking: “I don't know the rules.” “I'm probably terrible at roleplaying.” “I don't even know how to make a character.” “Everyone else will know what they're doing except me.” Then you're exactly the kind of player I enjoy introducing to D&D. I'm an experienced DM running weekly online campaigns, and a large number of my current long-term players started with little or zero real D&D experience. You do not need to read the entire Player's Handbook before joining. You don't need to memorize every spell, know how every mechanic works, or come in with a 10-page character backstory. We'll build your character together, I'll explain things as they become relevant, and you'll learn naturally by actually playing the game. And don't worry—beginner-friendly does not mean the campaign is watered down. The dice still matter. Your decisions have consequences. Characters can succeed, fail, get themselves into horrible situations, come up with ridiculous solutions, and completely change where the story goes. My games focus heavily on: • Character development • Roleplay and relationships between characters • Player freedom and creative solutions • Exploration and meaningful decisions • A story that reacts to what the party actually does • Helping new players learn without constantly stopping the game • A consistent weekly campaign rather than playing once every few months One of my current players described the experience like this: “The players have freedom, and no decision ever feels like a wrong one. I keep coming back for the DM, the players, and the characters and stories we've told together.” — Remy / Joffarex You don't have to be an amazing roleplayer when you start either. Quite a few of my players were nervous about roleplaying when they first joined. That confidence usually develops naturally once you become comfortable with your character and the group. GAME DETAILS System: D&D 5e / 2024/2014 rules Campaign: Faerun for new players Format: Online Voice: Discord VTT: Roll20 Session Length: Around 3–4 hours Group Size: Around 5 players Frequency: Once per week Price: Session 0, character creation, and onboarding are free. Regular campaign sessions are $20/player Experience Required: Absolutely none Current Openings: 5 SCHEDULING Wednesday, 8 PM GMT+4 / 12 PM ET my schedule is flexible, so if this time doesn't suit you, we can discuss it over a call THE ADVENTURE This is a long-term campaign set in Faerûn, built specifically for a new group. You’ll start as relatively inexperienced adventurers and gradually become involved in larger conflicts, dangerous factions, strange locations, and stories tied directly to your characters. Expect a mix of roleplay, exploration, combat, mysteries, character backstories, and choices that can genuinely change where the campaign goes. This is not a pre-written railroad where you just follow quest markers—the direction of the story will depend heavily on the party. INTERESTED? Send me a message here first with: Your timezone Your general weekly availability Whether you've played D&D before What kind of character, campaign, or D&D experience sounds fun to you Anything you're nervous or unsure about If it sounds like the game could be a good fit, I'll give you my Discord and we can talk properly there before you commit to anything. I care quite a lot about group chemistry, so I'd rather have five people who genuinely enjoy playing together every week than simply fill seats as quickly as possible. Complete beginners are very welcome.

Need a DM?

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Do you already have 3–5 friends who want to play D&D, but the campaign never actually gets off the ground because nobody has the time or experience to DM it consistently? This is specifically for groups like that. I run weekly online D&D campaigns for existing friend groups. You keep playing with your friends; I handle the DM side: preparation, rules guidance, campaign structure, NPCs, encounters, worldbuilding, and keeping the campaign moving every week. One of my current groups described their situation this way: they had tried for years to get a proper campaign running, but scheduling and not having an experienced DM kept stopping them. After joining, their player said: “You are paying for preparation, reliability, experience, storytelling, and someone taking responsibility for keeping the campaign running.” The game itself is character-focused and flexible. Your decisions matter, your characters can shape the story, and beginners are completely welcome. I also help with character creation and rules instead of expecting everyone to arrive as an expert. DETAILS System: D&D 5e / 2024 rules Players: Best for an existing group of 3–5 Format: Online Voice: Discord VTT: Roll20 Schedule: Weekly Session Length: 3–4 hours Price: $20 USD per player, per session Campaign Options: Custom Faerûn / Curse of Strahd / Tomb of Annihilation / other options depending on what your group wants If your group has been saying “we should really play D&D” for months—or years—send me: Number of players Your timezones Days/times that work for the group Experience level What kind of campaign you want I’ll tell you honestly whether I have a slot that fits.

Greek-myth campaign for Daggerheart

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
"Five years ago, a thousand ships answered Agamemnon's call and departed Greece to bring about Ilium's ruin. The greatest heroes, the mightiest weapons, and the most mythical stories are somewhere else.  You are among who remains.  I am Homer, and I will sing of you, amongst Other Names." Set in a fabled Age of Rhapsody — paying homage to the Bronze Age, Greek tragedy and comedy, and classical myth — Echoes of Fate is a homebrew Campaign Frame for Daggerheart exploring lies and prophecies, the making of myths, and what it costs to break destiny. You are not the hero the epic was written for. No prophecy names you. No Muse has claimed your story...yet. So what do you make of a life the songs haven't told yet? If you are a fan of myth retellings such as EPIC: the Musical, A Thousand Ships, The Song of Achilles, come sit by the fire. Some notes on the setting: •  The gods are present but distracted — drawing their eye may bring you greatness, or ruin. Or maybe you'll be drawn to the Mysteries instead? •  No prophecy protects you: your choices ripple outward, and could alter canon myths and even the course of the war itself. •  All stories are welcome, this table is LGBTQ+ friendly. •  New to tabletop, Daggerheart, or Greek myth? This table is beginner-friendly. And no Classics degree required, just curiosity. EU-friendly hours (evenings except weekends where I can do mornings or early afternoons) or US- friendly (late afternoons/early evening). Sessions can be weekly or bi-weekly through StartPlaying.com, at 20$ per session. About me: - I've been a Dungeon Master for almost 8 years and I have plenty of experience in guiding new players. I prefer Theater of the Mind with minimal VTT support. - Your story will matter and I love a long, narrative background I can weave into the main story. - I do character voices!  - I also do character artworks :D Safety tools: Session 0, Lines and Veils, Consent checklist and X cards. I prefer to be honest in advance: Echoes of Fate draws from real life in addition to myth. Slavery was present in Ancient Greece, as was mysogyny, war and violence. You will be able to challenge these in-game through your character, or ask me to avoid mentioning them and I will do my best to do so.

Serpents Skull Book 1 5E Conversion

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
I'll be running a standalone 5E conversion of book 1 of Pathfinders Serpent's Skull campaign and am looking for 1 more player to join the campaign. Most of us are in our thirties and I'm an experienced DM with 15+ years behind me. You'll be building a 5E character from Pathfinder World lore, locations, & deities, so knowledge of the Pathfinder setting is preferred, but anyone interested in learning about and eager to throw themselves into a jungle setting will be equally considered. Who this game is for: - Serious and passionate players who can commit to the full campaign length (roughly 15-20 sessions) - Reliable players who will turn up every session: This is a campaign which requires everyone to be present, so any players unable to attend means the campaign will need to be put on hold until the next session. If you can't make the odd session, please just give me as much notice as possible in advance, to not let myself and the rest of the players down. Emergencies happen, so I understand there may be times where this isn't possible. - High effort roleplayers with fun and interesting character concepts. We'll be playing Saturdays from 12pm GMT fortnightly. To build a character for this adventure, you'll need to read the Serpent's Skull Player's Guide, and while it doesn't list every Race, Class and Archetype, it'll give you a really good feel for the adventure, which starts on a Merchant Vessel headed for the Mwangi Expanse. Character concepts should mostly favour adventurers, explorers, pirates & swashbuckler's. Several of the starting ports are in the Shackles - the pirate region of Golarion, though you could have boarded in Varisia or any other place listed in the player's guide. This is a unique opportunity to create concepts you wouldn't normally have the chance to play, as I'll be creating custom subclasses based on your concepts. Once you've read the players guide and have a few ideas in mind, please fill in this form. It tells you everything else you'll need to know. I'm looking to start either the 7th November or the 21st, depending on how quickly we can build your character together. If this sounds good to you, I'm looking forward to seeing your submissions and hope to see you in my game!

You are a couple of seasoned travelers about to be dragged into something a lot more than you bargained for. This short adventure goes from levels 4 - 6 for a party of 3 – 5 players. The game is designed to run anywhere between 4 – 8 sessions and focuses on mystery, horror, a decent amount of combat, and thrilling and dramatic roleplay! [Online][5e 2014][Homebrew][EST][Sunday 6pm–9pm]

[5e 2014][Sunday 6pm–9pm] Return to the Known World Hello! I’m a Dungeon Master focused on running a challenging, memorable game. I’m not interested in politics or personal worldviews at the table, just good players who want a great experience together. If that works for you, read on. RETURN TO THE KNOWN WORLD There is a song playing in your head. “Butterfly in the sky, I can fly twice as high…” You don’t know where it’s from. Something about a rainbow. Rainbows are nice. Butterflies too. That thought feels… comforting. “Hey! The merch is waking up.” A rough voice. Alarmed. Angry. “Hells,” another voice whines. “I told you that Rapture Weed was looking wilted.” “Well whose idea was it to save two silvers buying from your new ‘friend’ instead of our usual source?” the first snaps. “Doesn’t matter now. Grab a shovel and start bashing heads in. They never buy the heads anyway.” A pause. “Well… that one does,” the second mutters. “Don’t talk about him. Don’t think about him. He reads minds. Move.” Footsteps scatter. You force one gummy eyelid open. An orange face swims into view. Hobgoblin. You don’t remember why, but a hobgoblin this close is very bad news. You try to move. “Oh no you’re not going anywhere.” Old instincts spark. Danger. React. All around you, other figures in rags stir. Groaning. Waking. So are you. ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN Welcome to a grim reimagining of The Known World (Mystara), the classic D&D setting of the 1980s and 90s. This is a world where: • Clerics burn wizards • Elves and dwarves stand ready to exterminate one another • Ancient grudges matter more than modern convenience This is classic fantasy, stripped of safety rails. BEFORE YOU SIGN UP — READ CAREFULLY You are not the hero of this story. You might not even be remembered. You may die before leaving the first room. Or worse. Historically, only about 5% of starting characters survive to the end. When one falls, a new “associate by circumstance” arrives. Some call them friends. Others call them meat shields. This is a long-term campaign, typically just under two years. If you want: • Power fantasies • Guaranteed plot armor • Neatly scripted heroic arcs This is not your table. If you want: • Tension and consequence • Dark humor • Survival against impossible odds • Stories you’ll still be telling years later Pull yourself up off the stone floor. The hobgoblin is waiting. SESSION DETAILS • System: Dungeons & Dragons 5e (Homebrew), modified ruleset (Not the 2024/5.2 update, simply never incorporated it) • Schedule: 3 out of 4 Sundays, 6:00–9:00 PM Eastern • Platform: Foundry VTT • Voice/Text: Discord • Character Rules: 5e Expert Classes (You do not need to buy anything, all materials are provided in Foundry) HOW TO APPLY Send me a message with: Your TTRPG experience (new players welcome) What you enjoy most in a game like this Your availability and reliability for long-term play If you’ve read this far and are still interested, you’re probably the kind of player I want. Happy adventuring. The Immortals are watching… though they don’t know you exist.

Yggdrasil is a mix between a westmarch server and roleplay channel where you can both freely interact with other peoples characters and join on quests that are essentially one shots in the same universe. Yggdrasil as a setting is one loosely based on Norse mythology while having most of the things you'd expect from a D&D setting (with some things removed and other things added). We are a homebrew friendly community with tons of new classes, races, subclasses, monsters, etc, a lot of which we made ourselves! https://discord.gg/7Eg3Up6EX

Female DM with 6+ years experience looking for 1 more player who loves to roleplay, delve deep into lore and backstories, and get a kick out of scheming, plotting and exploiting a homebrew open world in a long term weekly DND campaign. In a world where corporations vie over powerful resources, the gods have fallen silent and every choice has consequences - the party has travelled to the land of South Rhodesia where dragons rule in peace. It's the end of the year, the 50th anniversary of Godfall and day of the dead, a festival has taken over the streets of the dragon fort and everyone is ready to celebrate. While we have already begun the adventure, it is not too late to join! We have a barbarian, a monk, a necromancer, a warlock, and a druid who have come together to unravel the mysteries of the crystals which cover this world and save people from the machinations of the mega-corporations.  We are seeking 1 more player to join the party long term, there is still much of the story to unravel. If you enjoy delving deep into lore, roleplaying with the party and with NPCs and exploring the world around you - then this is the group for you. A replacement rail service catapulted our party into the chaos of Fracture, they've fought off train robbers only to become train robbers themselves. In doing so, they discovered a secret slave trade that they are attempting to bring down, whilst working against the corruption of the corporations and trying to (mostly) be the good guys (I think). Amongst the dangers of corporate research, deals with devils and the fury of freedom fighters, they have uncovered something else, something so much deeper and more deadly than the problems on the surface of Heleth - the truth about crystals. As the party seek out answers from silent gods, they wonder just how deep this rabbit hole goes and where on Heleth it might lead them. New players will be offered a free session 0 which will include a catch up of the story so far and discussion as to how their character will integrate into the party. $20/session Thursdays 7:00pm-10:30pm BST 2014 rules with a few homebrew ones thrown in the mix, open to exceptions and edits. Level 9 Any class or species (except Spelljammer), open to homebrew requests. All backstories will be integrated into the world and story, with each character getting a chance to explore them. So, if magical storms, corrupt corporations, and crystal super weapons sounds like your kind of thing - message me if you want to know more or check out the game listing here.

The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
Hi! This game is a self-made Chronicle which was written with the intention of being published for free. With this intention in mind, a couple of play-tests, similar to a stress test will be held in order to test and adjust things. This, is one of those play-tests. As all is done for free, and the finished Chronicle being published for free, AI images have been used as temporary placeholders. These are all subject to being replaced at a later point. Short summary: Cincinnati, Ohio 1987. The Family’s power-struggle has once again reached a peak as a new plot has been reviled among its Camarilla elders. Not since the previous Sovereign’s passing has The Family had such turmoil. Meanwhile, a sister and brother find themselves on opposite sides of the Hunter Vampire war. A village previously known for its delicious Dill Pickle now stands abandoned after an experiment gone wrong and a monster most foul lays in darkness, growing. Come meet The Family and venture to Massonville, where hidden nightmares await! (c’mon, it’ll be fun). Tags: Human experimentation, violence, gore, sex, overdose (drugs), mental illness, distress, bullying and tentacles (for good measure). Structure: 1-2 Setup sessions. Setup sessions are for players to meet each other and receive help with character creation as well as discuss game scheduling. 3-7 Game sessions. The playtest is a one-off but can take up to 7 play sessions to finish. All sessions are done over Discord and dice are either rolled using a Discord bot or with physical dice. Roleplaying always comes first; power gaming is not welcomed. That said, looking for 3 to 5 players and everyone is welcome to apply. Game days will be on Sundays and the goal will be to have weekly sessions (with potential work schedule issues being taken into account).  First session is scheduled for November 2nd at 17:00 CEST.   Comment or DM me for more info :)

This is a city of towering walls, ancient traditions, crowded streets and secrets. In this urban campaign, Korvosa is a central and important part of your adventure. It is within her streets you will explore, investigate, and have various encounters, both beneficial and combative. Decisions the party make, relationships they form, allies you gain and enemies you acquire will all have lasting consequences for good or ill. There is plenty of danger and intrigue hiding in the shadows. Will you become legendary heroes or just another name forgotten by the city? You are not observers of this story you are its protagonists. Muster your courage and grit, keep your weapons sharp and prepare yourself for the Curse of the Crimson Throne. Curse of the Crimson Throne is an urban gritty fantasy adventure set in the city of Korvosa. Brought together by a common enemy the party seeks to mete out justice or perhaps, revenge. LINK: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmulskccz002dl704bkjq3k00?ref=cmggzckrx007ykz04onqfxdei Starfinder 1e Attack of the Swarm Suskillon.   Used to be a nice planet. Used to be a nice system. Serene and peaceful out here in the Vast. That was of course, before the Swarm came. Well here they are devouring everything in sight leaving no one alive. What are we gonna do? Well we can do one of two things: Jack Sh--, but Jack left the planet, or we can take the fight to them. What's it gonna be chummer? Survive the Swarm and become legends or be devoured like every planet in the system.  Attack the Swarm is Military sci-fantasy meets desperate survival. Think Starship Troopers. Hold the line against an overwhelming horde of insectile creatures bent on consuming the galaxy. Your ragtag crew will undertake desperate missions behind enemy lines and uncover secrets hidden within the Swarm's hive mind. Work together, plan, attack, survive and turn the tide of battle in a near impossible war. Attack of the Swarm? No, more like Attack the Swarm. See you on the front lines chummer. New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Take up residence in one of Night City's wildest cargo villages: Dock Cargo Community. Dodge bullets, eat kibble, try to make rent. Docksiders is a game intended to run as a campaign following a group of edgerunners who live in one of the more colorful neighborhoods of Night City: Dock Cargo Community. Nestled between Docks 16 and 17 in the port district of Night City, this small container village sees as much City foot traffic as it does sea traffic. This game will see you taking your edgerunner(s) through a series of jobs and side hustles they need to fund their stylish and dangerous lifestyle. You can expect to see content from both official sources and custom content as well as the ability to plan your own jobs should you acquire the skill and the reputation. Take big risks, take big rewards. But be warned, Night City is an unforgiving place and it would be foolish for anyone to think they will live forever. I use the StartPlaying platform to run this game and you can find the sign-up link here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmr9j3hnv004rl504bjya77g6?ref=cmox97rts0032jx04sp2wo0xq You can expect about 15$ per session and a long-form campaign taking you through a sandbox world of Night City.

This is a Changeling: The Lost 2nd Edition game set in San Francisco in the modern day. The time window is 11pm on Thursday night (UK time), so I believe that equates to 6pm EST. We're currently a GM (me) and two players, so ideally looking to get to 4 or 5 players to start. All three of us are some flavour of queer and so is the game. So needless to say, bigots should not apply :)

Another Story: Fragmented Memories

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
This story takes place in the pseudo-theocratic nation of Tenkaisei, the Land of Star and Stone, where the guidance of the heavens directly influences daily life. The ruler, known simply as the Dawn Empress, serves as both political sovereign and divine intermediary, believed to be chosen by celestial forces to maintain harmony between the heavens and the earth. Her rule is guided by the Heavenspiral, six divine pillars whose domains govern the fundamental principles of existence. Their influence reaches beyond religious practice, shaping the nation's laws, traditions, and understanding of the natural order. As a result, Tenkaisei is not strictly a political power, but a spiritual epicenter where faith and governance are inseparably intertwined. Beneath this carefully maintained order, the nation is far from united. Tenkaisei stands equally divided between the Impyreal Sovereignty, which upholds the Dawn Empress and the divine right of celestial authority, and the Stormlord Territory, whose legacy favors strength earned through action rather than bestowed through birthright. Their ideological divide has fostered generations of tension, leaving the nation vulnerable to conflict and uncertainty. Although both sides claim to understand what is necessary for Tenkaisei's future, neither can afford to ignore the fragile balance that holds the realm together. That balance is now beginning to falter. Across the nation, the shrines dedicated to the Heavenspiral are experiencing disturbances that threaten their ancient purpose. These sanctuaries are more than places of worship; they serve as vital connections between the celestial powers and the mortal world, preserving the influence of the divine within Tenkaisei. As their protections weaken, the consequences begin to reach beyond temple grounds, manifesting in spiritual unrest, unnatural phenomena, and disruptions to the natural order. What once seemed like isolated misfortunes increasingly suggests a greater crisis. One that threatens the foundations of the nation's faith and the stability it has long taken for granted. The party has been drawn into this unfolding crisis, traveling between sacred sites to investigate the disturbances and restore what has been lost. Each shrine presents its own trials, reflecting the divine principle it was built to uphold. The party must contend with ancient traditions, conflicting interpretations of the divine, and the consequences of a world whose safeguards are no longer dependable. With every discovery, the importance of the shrines becomes clear. In a nation where the heavens are believed to guide mortal affairs, the weakening of their shrines raises a troubling question: if the divine order can no longer protect the world as it once did, what will become of the people who have built their lives around its guidance?

Saturday, 7PM +2 GMT, biweekly, 20$ per session  Foundry + Discord Sign up on Startplaying HERE --- Misty Vale was covered by mist for a long time. Within those mists only ruins remained of empire long forgotten. Now the mist is no more and you heard that the treasures hidden within it are to be found and claimed! In this Dragonbane campaign, you will explore dangerous wilderness, ancient tombs, monster-infested dungeons, abandoned villages, and mysterious strongholds. Every expedition carries risk. Supplies run low, monsters hunt the roads, and greed often proves deadlier than steel. The campaign combines classic fantasy adventure with open exploration, deadly combat, strange magic, and opportunities for both heroism and disaster. My games focus on atmosphere, player-driven choices, immersive roleplay, and fast-paced cinematic action. Dragonbane rewards creativity, clever plans, and bold decisions over perfect character builds. Expect dangerous journeys, memorable NPCs, dark humor, tense combat, and a living world that reacts to your successes and failures. This game is ideal for players who enjoy old-school fantasy adventures, exploration-heavy campaigns, and stories shaped by risk and discovery. Dragonbane is enjoyable by both grognards wishing to try something new but with a familiar taste and new players alike. No prior experience with Dragonbane is needed — new players are welcome, but survival is never guaranteed.

House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
I am looking for 3–4 players for an open-ended campaign set in the Gundam Universal Century timeline!  we will use Owlbear About the Campaign: Timeline: Starting during the One Year War (OYW) and continuing for as long as the story takes us—until the squad either falls in battle or decides to retire. Player Choice Matters: Your starting faction, objectives, and assets will be dictated by the choices you make as a group. You have the power to change the course of UC history or become another victim of its tragedy. Sandbox & Dynamic Storytelling: This is a heavy sandbox campaign. I love building the world around player motivations and goals. Some sessions will be purely character-driven roleplay with little to no combat, while others will drop you straight into gritty, intense battlefields. Custom Art: As a GM bonus, I can provide custom sprite art for your custom Mobile Suits and potentially your characters! What I Ask from Players: Patience & Feedback: I am a first-time GM stepping over to the other side of the screen for my first full campaign (after running a couple of one-shots). I might make mistakes, but I am very open to constructive tips and feedback! Roleplay Focus: We are here to craft a compelling story together, not just min-max or go on kill streaks. If you want to shape the Universal Century, this is your chance.

The payday is coming, it's as certain as Death.*) But let's discuss this "survive" part, shall we? ___ *) And taxes, since Lord Vetinari seems to be deadly serious about tax evasion.

Will you uphold the law, expose rouge Replicants and uncover corporate conspiracies, or delve into the depths of your own humanity, staying your hand and looking back at the critical moment? Will you find salvation in a world dominated by shadows, or will you succumb to the allure of a future where humanity is defined by the flickering glow of artificial light? The choices you will be forced to make will shape the fate of City of Fallen Angels and its denizens. Set against the backdrop of a sprawling, rain-soaked metropolis of Los Angeles 2036, the players will navigate a world where advanced technology clashes with gritty urban decay. Inspired by the iconic Blade Runner aesthetic, the narrative will explore the ethical dilemmas of artificial intelligence, corporate power, and the quest for humanity in an ever-advancing technological landscape of a world where trust is a rare commodity, and every corner holds a secret.   As your Game Runner, I will guide you through a narrative web of intrigue, espionage and existential questions. This game is not just about rolling dice and calculating statistics; it's about the atmospheric exploration of a world that is as dangerous as it is mesmerizing. In the game you can expect a cinematic experience where the choices you make echo through the neon-lit streets of Los Angeles, shaping a narrative that is as unique as the individuals playing it. City of Fallen Angels story arc consists of fifteen Case Files, taking place over a span of last months of 2036 and part of 2037. Each Case File concludes mostly within three game sessions. City of Fallen Angels campaign operates on my dedicated Discord server, providing an accessible platform for players to engage in a story-driven experience. Upon entering the game, you will access rule summaries to help them navigate the game mechanics. The system is designed to be beginner-friendly while maintaining depth for seasoned role-players. During the course of the game, I provide custom handouts that include detailed descriptions, visual references and important information relevant to the ongoing story. Mugshots, maps and other visual aids are utilized to provide a visual representation of the characters, locations, and clues encountered throughout the game. Take note that City of Fallen Angels campaign prioritizes a story-driven experience that focuses on mystery and puzzle-solving rather than combat. The narrative unfolds through a series of interconnected events, each leading to the next piece of the puzzle.

Hello! Me and a friend had an idea to have a game where the entire party is true dragons, ganging up together for a specific reason or just neighbors who have territories next to each other. Rules for how we make true dragon characters can be discussed with the potential GM, though I do own the Dreamscarred Press Monster Class for Dragons, and have had true dragon PC's in my games before using the play as a monster rules. The idea is to really get to enjoy and play into the fantasy of being a dragon in a fantasy setting, be it Golarion or a homebrew world, and interacting with it from a different perspective than normal, and to hopefully feel like a epic dragon! As such in that regard, we’re looking for a GM to make this game come true. We are three, so if a DM is interested in a smaller group, or more as I have no issue with recruiting as many as you'd like! The timeslot is currently set on fridays anytime before 11 pm EDT. Platform can be anything you’d like. Just make a quick application if you're interested!

DEMON CASTLE PAROUSIA Prologue Chicago. Autumn, 1999. It's the last autumn of the millennium, and the city is coming apart. People are stockpiling water, canned food and cash. Television warns that banks, power grids and phones could fail at midnight on New Year's Eve. Everyone is counting down, and not everyone believes the lights will stay on. People are disappearing. It started with night-shift workers, the homeless and runaways, and now ordinary families are going missing too. The reports go nowhere, and the police have no answers. The stories are getting stranger: shapes moving across rooftops, howling near the rail yards, bodies found drained and pale, broadcasts that cut in at 3 a.m. with voices no one can place. Most people laugh them off, but fewer are laughing every week. And the city is turning on itself. End-times preachers shout down skeptics on street corners. Neighbors buy guns to protect themselves from each other. Every group blames another for the attacks, and trust is breaking down block by block. Three companies seem to have a hand in everything in Chicago right now, and to the public they're the pillars holding the city together. Blackmoor Industries is an old-money empire that owns property all over the city: towers, docks, warehouses, new developments and funeral homes. It holds the Vanguard contract and pays for the city's protection. As people leave or vanish, Blackmoor quietly buys up what they leave behind. Carmilla Dynamics is a cutting-edge pharmaceutical and biotech firm. Its free clinics, blood drives and medical trials come with glossy ads that promise longer, healthier lives. In the poorest neighborhoods, its clinics pay cash for blood. Vesper Corporation is the city's biggest media company, with TV and radio stations and newspapers. It runs the Y2K-readiness campaign, and it's the voice telling Chicago what to fear and who to blame. New preachers are appearing in soup kitchens, shelters and on street corners, preaching that the world is ending and a Shepherd will lead the faithful through the dark. Their followers call themselves the Flock and wear a red thread around the wrist. They take in the poor and the lonely, and some who join are never seen again. Meanwhile, domestic terrorism is on the rise. Churches burn, substations go dark, and bombs go off in public places with no warning and no clear motive. Every week brings a new attack, and every group in the city blames another. Nobody feels safe anymore. Under the chaos, an underground network trades in off-the-books work. Brokers, fixers and contacts pass jobs along by pager, payphone, email or a note slipped under a door. The jobs used to be ordinary: guarding a shipment, finding a debtor, getting something out of the city quietly. Lately they've changed. Now it's finding people who went missing, getting into places that are locked and guarded, and asking questions about the companies everyone else is afraid of. Some of the people who took those jobs haven't come back. But the pay keeps rising, and someone always says yes. Most of the city will never learn what's behind the chaos. But a few people who answered the same call are about to be brought together, and what they find will pull them past the headlines and the companies into something far older, something that has been waiting in the dark. Before the year is out, they'll learn what Chicago has been hiding.

The Witchlight Carnival — A Feywild Mystery

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Sign up here: startplaying.games In this Daggerheart campaign, you’ll begin with a clear mission: enter the mysterious Witchlight Carnival, find a path into the Feywild realm of Prismeer, and discover what happened to the powerful archfey Zybilna. But once you arrive at the carnival, something becomes disturbingly familiar. You’ve been here before. Long ago, when you were a child, something was taken from you. Not gold. Not gear. Something personal—something you may have spent years believing was simply part of who you are. A memory. A feeling. A talent. A sense of belonging. A piece of yourself. Now, the trail of that loss leads in the same direction as your mission. From the Witchlight Carnival, you’ll cross into Prismeer, a fractured fairy-tale realm where reality bends to emotion, promises carry power, and the past, present, and future have fallen into dangerous hands. Over the course of the campaign, you will: Explore surreal locations, from living swamps and enchanted forests to impossible mountains and storybook kingdoms gone wrong. Discover how your own childhood loss is connected to the forces now controlling the realm Negotiate with cunning Fey, strange rulers, tricksters, monsters, and creatures with agendas of their own Make bargains, promises, and difficult choices that can reshape the story Recover what was taken from you—and decide what it means to become whole again. Using the Daggerheart system, the campaign emphasizes cinematic storytelling, emotional stakes, collaborative worldbuilding, and character growth. Your Hope, Stress, relationships, and personal history matter just as much as what you can do in a fight.

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Welcome,  We will be starting a Shadowrun 6E mini campaign from our 'Let's Learn Series' from the Iron Quill Guild. Generally I start in Roll 20 and run the short Battle Royale starter adventure, but then I typically transition the group to Dreamchipper, which is a module from 1st edition in 1989 that I converted to 6E rules to be played in Foundry VTT. If you are interested I will send you the Start Playing link to sign up as well as a guild invite on our discord server.

Sign up here:  https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmleg236r00awl1042w6k0pbn You were turned into a vampire less than six months ago. You have no status. No patron. No seat at any table. And in this city, no one holds uncontested power. Ancient factions compete for influence in the shadows. 🩸 The Camarilla offers stability, tradition, and protection — if you accept their authority. 🩸 The Anarchs promise freedom and power for those bold enough to take it. 🩸 The Ministry whispers of faith, temptation, and liberation from the lies of vampire society. None of them trust each other. All of them are watching the newest vampires in the city. And now something has gone wrong. A feral vampire begins killing in your hunting grounds, threatening the Masquerade and drawing dangerous attention. Unfortunately, the blame is falling on your coterie. Handle it poorly, and you’ll be dismissed as reckless fledglings. Handle it well? 🩸 The city might finally start to notice you. The Chronicle You begin as newly embraced vampires, still learning the rules of the undead world. The opening story introduces the dangers of unlife — hunting, secrecy, faction politics, and the struggle to hold onto your humanity. After that initial crisis resolves, the direction of the chronicle opens up based on your choices. Your coterie will decide: 🩸 Which factions you trust — or betray 🩸 What territory you claim as your domain 🩸 Which allies you cultivate 🩸 Which enemies you create 🩸 What kind of vampires you ultimately become Some coteries pursue power and influence. Some fight to remain independent in a city full of predators. Some struggle to hold onto what little humanity they have left. The city reacts to all of it. Allies remember. Enemies plot. Power shifts. What to Expect: 🩸 Political intrigue between rival vampire factions 🩸 Territory and domain conflicts 🩸 Character-driven storytelling 🩸 Personal horror and moral dilemmas 🩸 A reactive city shaped by your choices Every character will have personal goals, relationships, and storylines that influence the chronicle. New Players Welcome --No prior experience with Vampire: The Masquerade is required. Your characters begin as newly turned vampires, meaning you’ll learn the world of the undead at the same time your character does. Experienced players will find plenty of room for political maneuvering, faction intrigue, and long-term consequences. Have a vampire concept you’re excited about? Message me! I’m happy to help shape characters that fit the city, the factions, and the story we’ll build together.

Rise of the Runelords!

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
From the idyllically peaceful coastal town of Sandpoint to an ancient lost city at the top of the world, Rise of the Runelords takes a party of adventurers from 1st to over 18th level and delves into the mysteries of Varisia's ancient past. Millennia ago, the powerful empire of Thassillon ruled the land, dominated by despotic runelords who maintained their power through harnessing the power of rune magic. Thought gone forever, the workings of Thassilon are not so far beneath the surface and one of the runelords plans a return to power. Only the brave adventurers stand in his way. Looking to recruit a table of 4 players to play through Paizo's first AP under Pathfinder 1 rules. Character Creation Rules : 25 point buy, PHB races allowed by default and any others by approval. All traits allowed, but no drawbacks. No unchained classes or evil characters. I also reserve the right to veto any character choices if I feel it will disrupt the game. Please do not optimize to the Nth degree. My expectations: No toxicity or bigots of any kind. If I feel anyone is breaking these rules, I will boot them without a refund. Please be cool and don't make me do that. What you should expect: I have been playing and DMing for a long time though this is my first paid game ever. I do request a little patience. I also would appreciate constructive criticism as I can always get better. If there is an argument about rules, I will make a ruling on the spot and table the conversation until after the game unless it is vital(AKA a PC is going to die because of it). Also I like personalizing the story to the PCs which may mean a custom side story for a particular player. I also believe in the trains running on time meaning I will not cancel the game when one or more PCs cannot make it. If I have to improvise a side story for 1 player, so be it. Game will be run on Roll20 and we will be using discord for voice.

Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
The party has departed from Brackenward with their dragon companion, Whisper, carrying precious cargo and seeking to investigate the legitimacy of 1 of 4 companies with potential ties to the Carrion Company.  Along the road they were confronted by the leader of the Carrion Company, one of the party volunteered as sacrifice to turn double agent.  What lies ahead as the party is split? The party is looking for 1 more adventurer to bring them from the Fab Four back to the Fab Five. I will run a one on one session Zero with anyone interested! Dark Frontier Fantasy | Tactical Roleplay | Political Intrigue | Living World Campaign | Growing Items Starting at level 1 going all the way to 20! Azural remembers everything. In the foothills of the Drenthars, most names are forgotten, most contracts are written in dust, and only Azural itself bothers to keep score. You start in the fading frontier town of Arazar, just mere faces in the crowd, taking whatever work will keep you fed. • Escorting short caravans that never make the stories. • Settling petty border quarrels. • Finding the missing, no one can afford to mourn. • Looking the other way on smuggling runs. • Digging up graves for coins that barely shine. Small jobs for small people. Until Azural begins to change around you—and the first whispers of a divine crime start to echo from the shadows. Will you silence those whispers, or turn them into the cry that rights a long‑forgotten wrong? StartPlaying Game Link StartPlaying GM Profile

Where Paths Converge

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
This is a beginner friendly and open campaign where the players get to decide on what they want to do whilst playing.  The world lore revolves around the dead 3, which are the 3 gods that share the throne of death after the old god of the dead resigned. The world has and will slowly become worse and worse off whilst the dead 3 fight for power in the material plane. Additionally I am trying to have a kind of psychological horror feeling when in comes to this campaign  We play for around 3-4 hours, often with a short break and every session starts at 8pm cet, or to be very specific, Swedish time. We use a discord channel for verbal communication during our sessions and it also works for keeping notes, recaps and just general hanging out with the other players outside of sessions If you're interested, please send me a short message request, maybe a short description of you: pronouns, age and most importantly how you are as a player. And when I see your message I will accept and give you my discord username for continued contact and in order to add you to our server channel If this campaign isn't for you, I wish you the best of luck finding one you want to and can join, have a wonderful day/night! ❤️

Beyond the hearth lie forgotten roads, the halls of fallen kings, and a Shadow stirring in the forgotten corners of Middle-earth. Your journey begins in Bree, where rumours of ancient ruins, growing unrest, and the lingering memory of Angmar draw an unlikely fellowship onto the road. Of Hope and Other Sorrows is a Tolkien-grounded, roleplay-heavy sandbox campaign where exploration, friendships, difficult choices, and small acts of courage shape an unfolding story. Your adventures also share a living world with my established Thursday campaign. Through letters, rumours, and discoveries, the actions of one fellowship may influence the fate of another. What to expect: Meaningful roleplay, exploration, mystery, and occasional dangerous combat. A reactive world shaped by your choices and character backstories. A welcoming, collaborative table for newcomers and veterans alike. When: Tuesdays, 18:30 UTC (2–3 hours) Where: Discord + D&D Beyond Maps Price: $20 per session Spaces: 5 available; 2 more players needed to begin. No previous experience with Tolkien's RPGs required. A flying city of portals, the City of Doors has closed. The gods have decreed that The Reckoning has come and the Material Plane's time is over. All that is left now is the Endlands, immeasurable leagues of sunless wastes, fled by all who can escape to the Outer Planes. But something else moves in the shadows. Might there be something worse than the end of the Material Plane after all? In this mash-up of Planescape and Stephen King's Dark Tower epic, you will explore a reality moving on, discover the secrets of its creation, and decide its fate once and for all. Your heroes have come together from across D&D's time and space to a land of sunless light, unpredictable magic, and guns. Lots of guns. Let's hope you're quick on the draw. Built for players with all levels of experience, Spireward Bound follows a semi-episodic structure. Every few sessions, your characters are confronted with a new, exciting situation on your journey, each of which is designed for open-ended adventure. Our adventure is underway, but there's room at the fireside for more travelers! The posse are level 12 and consists of: 🐎 Potra Equidos, Centaur Paladin and entertainer, dedicated to Kelemvor. Always the first to charge in with battle axe and shotgun, but never sure we're going the right way. ✊ Jasir al-Sahir, Drow Monk/Warlock, newly undead and struggling with the competing influence of Dabus 19 and the Frontier Flames. A increasingly erratic investigator with a hound at his side. 🐲 Fin, Kobold Rogue and seasoned bounty hunter. A little guy with a big job, eager to track down the Herald. In pursuit of the Justice Tarot and worried about growing danger to the Endlands, they find themselves planning to hijack a Mind Flayer train!

Curse of Strahd | Gothic Horror D&D Adventure

Paid game

Curse of Strahd — Enter Barovia The mists have found you. They do not intend to let you leave. A land trapped beneath an endless grey sky. Ancient forests hide things that should never have survived. Villages cling desperately to what little hope remains. And above it all watches a vampire who has ruled this valley for centuries. Count Strahd von Zarovich knows you are here. The question is whether you'll survive long enough to escape him. 🦇 What to Expect 🩸 A Story About Your Characters Your characters aren't just along for the ride. Your decisions, relationships, fears and ambitions will become part of the story. Barovia will react to what you do — and Strahd will take notice. 🏰 Gothic Horror & Dark Fantasy Expect haunted castles, cursed villages, ancient forests, terrifying creatures and people who have learned to survive in a world without hope. The campaign can be dark and unsettling, but we'll keep the table itself welcoming and enjoyable. 🎭 Roleplay & Character Development Barovia is filled with people who have their own problems, secrets and motivations. You'll have plenty of opportunities to interact with NPCs, make difficult choices and decide what your character is willing to sacrifice. ⚔️ Dangerous Combat Combat matters. Not every encounter is designed to be won by simply charging forward. Sometimes running away is the smartest choice. You'll face creatures that can genuinely threaten your party, and your decisions outside of combat can be just as important as your tactics during it. 🗺️ Exploration & Mystery Barovia isn't a linear dungeon. You'll have freedom to explore the valley, discover its secrets and decide which dangers you're willing to face. 🆕 New to D&D? That's completely fine. You don't need years of D&D experience to join. I'll explain the rules as we play, help you create your character and make sure you understand what's happening. The important thing is that you're ready to play a character and become part of the story. 🎲 Campaign Details System: Dungeons & Dragons 5e Campaign: Curse of Strahd Starting Level: 1 Players: 4–6 Session Length: 3 hours Frequency: Weekly Experience: Beginners & experienced players welcome We'll use Foundry VTT for maps and combat, with Discord for voice chat.

Phandelver & Below: The Shattered Obelisk Beginner

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Phandelver & Below: The Shattered Obelisk New to D&D? Experienced adventurer? Either way, you're welcome at my table. Something is wrong in Phandalin. What begins as a classic adventure on the Sword Coast will take you from goblin-filled caves and dangerous wilderness to ancient ruins, strange magic, and secrets buried deep beneath the world. Phandelver & Below: The Shattered Obelisk is a campaign that starts with the beloved Lost Mine of Phandelver adventure before gradually transforming into something much stranger and more dangerous. And you get to decide how your story unfolds along the way. ⚔️ What to Expect 🎭 Roleplay & memorable characters Phandalin is filled with people worth meeting, helping, annoying, or occasionally punching. Your character's choices matter, and I'll give you plenty of opportunities to develop their story. 🗺️ Exploration & adventure Travel through the Sword Coast, discover forgotten locations, investigate mysteries and uncover what is really happening around Phandalin. ⚔️ Exciting combat Expect a mixture of tactical encounters, dangerous monsters, classic D&D enemies and the occasional fight that goes very differently from what you expected. 🧩 Mystery & discovery There is more happening beneath Phandalin than initially meets the eye. Strange events, missing people and mysterious forces gradually reveal a much larger threat. 😂 A relaxed table This is an adventure, but we're here to have fun. Expect serious moments, ridiculous plans, terrible decisions and the occasional natural 20 that completely changes everything. 🆕 New to D&D? Absolutely no problem. You don't need to know every rule before joining. I'll explain the mechanics as we play, help you build your character, and make sure you understand what's happening without turning the game into a rules lecture. Experienced players are equally welcome — especially if you're looking for a campaign where you can really get into your character. 🎲 About the Campaign System: Dungeons & Dragons 5e Starting Level: 1 Ending Level: 12 Players: 4–6 Session Length: 3 hours Frequency: Weekly Experience: Beginners & experienced players welcome We'll use Foundry VTT for maps and combat, with Discord for voice chat. 🧙 Character Creation We'll make sure your character fits naturally into the campaign and has reasons to actually care about the adventure. You don't need to arrive with a perfectly finished character sheet. If you have an idea for a character, bring it to me and we'll build it together. 👋 About Your DM I've been playing and running D&D for around 10 years, and I've spent a huge amount of that time behind the DM screen. My goal isn't simply to run you through a published adventure. I want you to leave each session feeling like your party actually created something together. I'll provide the world, characters, monsters and situations — but what happens next is up to you. Grab a seat and let's see what happens in Phandalin.

It’s also a great opportunity to set clear expectations for the campaign before we start playing. If any issues arise later for any reason, I’m happy to hold another Session 0 to revisit boundaries and safety tools together. During sessions, I build in regular breaks (usually 5–10 minutes, or longer if needed). These give everyone a chance to rest mentally, grab something to eat, or take care of personal needs. Players are always welcome to request a break at any time. During more intense sessions or scenes, I remind everyone that my private messages (DMs) are always open. If you ever feel uncomfortable but don’t want to speak up in the moment, you can message me privately. I take all feedback seriously and will prioritize your comfort. At the end of intense sessions, I always do a quick check-in to make sure everyone is okay Payment is weekly through startplaying  Link to startplaying to sign up or for more information

The Star Hoarder's Cache

Previously, on The Star Hoarder's Cache: Fade into the party hurriedly discussing their plan while fleeing a burning Space Freighter "If it's a choice between joining Pirates, the Rebels or the Law... I'm for the Rebels." Cut to an impeccibly dressed businessman leaning on his mahogony desk "A new ship? That's quite the favor, my friends. Luckily I have just the job for you..." Fade up as we look into your character's eyes, focused straight ahead "There's no way, Val! That shot is impossible!"  "It's still the best we have." Hey everyone! I’m Alan, and I GM for a group of lovable misfits online. We've been together around 3 years now, and are getting ready to launch our next grand sci-fi campaign: The Star Hoarder's Cache! If you love deep character development, witty table banter, and adventures where your choices genuinely shape the story, we’d love to meet you! We’re currently looking for 1–2 dedicated roleplayers to round out our crew. The Campaign Hook: Think Guardians of the Galaxy meets Firefly, Mass Effect, and Treasure Island. Expect a scrappy, found-family crew chasing legendary fortunes across uncharted frontiers. The tone balances high-stakes galactic intrigue, sharp comedic banter, and meaningful character arcs. Your past catches up with you, the galaxy reacts dynamically to your decisions, and every crew member has a vital voice in where your ship flies next. We used the Adventure Path 'Murder in Metal City' to onboard us into SF2e, and are ready to tackle a homebrew campaign. About the GM & Table Style The Style: I bring 3 years of GMing experience backed by a long history studying improv at Second City. That means dynamic scenes, distinct NPC personalities, and an adaptive GM approach where player creativity, humor, and bold ideas are rewarded. The Current Crew: Our table consists of two women, and four men. (Including me, the GM) We're looking for another 1-2 players to round out the table, cis-women preferred. Immersion & Focus: To maintain high energy and uninterrupted roleplay during game night, our sessions are recorded and privately uploaded so that only table members have access. This allows me to stay 100% present in the moment while ensuring every player decision, inside joke, and plot thread is captured accurately between sessions without breaking the flow for note-taking. The Atmosphere: We are an inclusive, collaborative, and communicative group. We share the spotlight, support each other's character arcs, and prioritize fun, respectful storytelling above all else. We utilize safety tools like X-Cards and establish clear boundaries/lines & veils ahead of time. If a session is likely to involve heavier depictions of potentially difficult topics, I make a point to remind everyone of the X-Card options and check in with players ahead of time. Campaign Length: Our table enjoys campaigns around 12 sessions long. We've run four of them so far using PF2e. I try to focus on an overarching narrative while weaving in the backstories and goals of the party members. Some backstory plots get resolved along with the main campaign; while others are given clues and breadcrumbs into our next campaign. Logistics & Requirements System: Starfinder 2e / Pathfinder 2e We started as a PF2e group, and after 3 years; are trying out SF2e. The two systems are practically the same, except for minor tweaks Platform: Foundry VTT for gameplay, Discord for out-of-character crew banter. Schedule: Twice per month, running on a weekday evening (Mon, Tue, Wed, or Thu based on group consensus), 6:30 PM – ~11:00 PM CST. Tech: Clear working microphone, reliable internet, and a PC/browser capable of running Foundry VTT smoothly. Webcam use is encouraged, but optional. Age: 21+ I aim to run a PG-13/Sometimes 'R' rated table. We focus on keeping things friendly, with strictly zero-tolerance for bigotry or toxic behavior. How to Apply: If you want to join our crew, send me a direct message with brief answers to the following: Experience: What is your background with Pathfinder 2e, Starfinder 2e or tabletop RPGs? (Beginners to the system are welcome!) Playstyle: What draws you to TTRPG's; Combat/Strategy, Improv/Character development or creating a Shared-Storyline? Table Dynamic: What energy do you hope to bring to the table in our story-driven campaign? Applications will remain open until we find the right fit, followed by a brief, casual chat on Discord to make sure we're all on the same page before jumping in. (We'll go over table expectations, a short tutorial for using FoundryVTT, any Off-Limit topics, etc.) Looking forward to welcoming you to our table!

A Fistful of Coppers - Outlaws of Alkenstar

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
A wacky western fantasy adventure where you'll fight to win your fortune, clear your name, bring justice (or vengeance) to those who've wronged you, and (hopefully) even save the city itself. Along the way you'll meet friends, foes, and eccentrics galore, and rise from Alkenstar's dank sewers to the sunlit skies above. This game will be using the dual class variant rule and third-party Team+ content, as well as any additional variant rules the party agrees on. https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmumqp1fm0007l0040oqmp6oj
