Explore forgotten barrows. Haggle with goblins. Eat questionable fungi. Befriend a goat-man. Offend a fairy noble.  I’m putting together an **in-person Dolmenwood campaign in Salt Lake City**: old-school exploration, mythic treasure, dangerous dungeons, strange folklore, and player-driven adventures in an open-world hex crawl.  No Dolmenwood or OSR experience required — just bring your creative thinking and a willingness to explore the dark mysteries of the forest.

Ynn by Way of Dolmenwood

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
The Gardens of Ynn is a procedurally generated point crawl inspired by Alice in Wonderland, Studio Ghibli films, Made in Abyss, old fairytales (from before they got sanitized), and a smattering of other things. This will take longer than a few sessions to complete. We're using Dolmenwood as the system, 3-5 players needed.  Might also want to bring some retainers. Starting XP is 9000 for PCs, 5000 for retainers. One member of your party has inherited the possessions of a dead relative; a small cottage in the countryside. In the pretty little garden, there is a vine covered wall. On the bedside tables, there are instructions on how to get to ‘The Other Garden’ and a dire warning never to do so. "Find a wall covered in ivy, vines, moss, or similar. Clear that vegetation away, and using chalk and charcoal draw a realistic door (with keyhole, hinges and doorknob) on the surface below. Write upon the door: 'Ynn, by way of Dolmenwood' Leave, so the drawing is no longer visible, and on return the drawing will be replaced by a real door. When it is opened, the Gardens of Ynn will be on the other side." Curiosity has gotten the best of you.

Dolmenwood: Adventure & Peril

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Time: BST Weekdays. Hello all! I'm looking to start a Dolmenwood campaign which means I am currently looking for 5 players to venture into one of the strangest, yet most atmospheric fantasy setting I've come across so far. Dolmenwood is a realm of tangled woods, fungus-encrusted glades, and foetid marshes on the wild borders of civilisation. It’s a place filled with intrigue, secrets, and old magic, where travellers are drawn in and rarely leave unchanged. You’ll get to explore the wild Wood, uncover lost treasures, and face the strange things lurking in the dark. Along the way, you’ll also recover relics, forage uncanny herbs, bargain with witches, unravel ancient magic, and get tangled in noble intrigue, before (hopefully) returning to the hearth to share your tales. Most importantly though, you will have the total freedom to shape your journey. I can honestly say that this is the true sandbox most people look for.  The System Dolmenwood is based on DnD B/X so those of you familiar with 5e will have a very easy time picking it up. However, some things are a tad different so expect the following: Player skill > Character Sheet: Your options are not limited to the paper buttons on your character sheet. The game actively encourages out-of-the-box thinking and while you do have various unique skills and traits that will come in handy, a long stick and a sacrificial retainer or two can do the job just as well. Gold = XP: Exploration and treasure hunting are the main drivers of advancement rather than combat, and I will also employ the use of homebrew rules that reward feats of exploration (discovering lost shrines, confirming rumours, etc.) Combat is dangerous: You will always seek ways to gain the upper hand in any encounter. Block in your opponent and throw in molotovs, poison the well, everything goes. Emergent storytelling: PCs will not have the most expansive backgrounds in order to allow for the story to develop organically through play. HOWEVER, there are a couple of amazing tables that will inspire your characters' beliefs, starting trinkets, etc, which I think you will love. About myself The one line that best describes me as a GM is that I’m relaxed, friendly, and here to make sure everyone has a great time. My games are all about good vibes, fun, and group chemistry. I have a bit of an “older brother” style. Guiding things, hyping players up, and making sure everyone feels comfortable jumping in and having their moment. No one gets left on the sidelines. My Hopes I honestly could've easily gotten players off the system's Discord server but I really want to introduce new folk to this wonderful game. Furthermore, I really hope that we'll become friends outside of our sessions as well since to me, joking around and being comfortable with another is more important than mechanically showing up for every session. Game details: We will play using both discord for voice and Foundry VTT for maps and character sheets! You don't need to buy or download anything, I simply have to send you a link and you simply join using it! To conclude: Thanks for reading this my post and if you are interested, please contact me! I hope all of you have a nice day/evening and I hope to talk to you later!

Waters of Dolmenwood

Hello! As a long-time CoC/Spire/Heart GM who's recently gotten into the OSR scene by way of Shadowdark, join me as I learn to run Dolmenwood! We'll play weekly through Discord and Fantasy Grounds. We have 3 players who have completed 2 sessions and are just barely starting to get their feet under them, but we feel having a 4th would really round out the party. We are looking for someone who can commit to this time slot for the next 15-20 sessions, and who will be active and friendly.  Session 3 will be on Monday, May 4th, 17:00 to 21:00 GMT (12:00-4:00 PM EST). Send me a DM to discuss! What are the vibes? This is a free-to-play, beginner-friendly game. I want to run a player-driven game, where plot beats primarily come from your character decisions, pushing you to explore the wild places, unravel the secrets of deep magic, unravel the web of faction motivations, and perhaps journey along fairy-roads. The game will lean towards a LOTR Two-Towers vibe, with touches of The Wicker Man (1973) and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Our game will focus on organic exploration through hexcrawl and faction interplay, as the secrets of the world and long-held grudges unfold around the players. What's Dolmenwood? A fantasy setting steeped in folklore and fae, built around the Old School Essentials rules, blending the dark and whimsical, the wonderous and weird. Dolmenwood is a system and a setting, both of which tend toward strong character relationships with the world and the holy, arcane, or fae magics that pervade the layered histories there. - The setting blends inspiration from Tolkien, Dunsany, Machen, folk-horror, and the political intrigue of lords and ladies in high courts. - Play as proud, goat-headed Breggle, a starry-eyed elf stepped straight from Fairy, a tricksome grimalkin cat-fairy, a worldly or hapless human, a fungus-riddled Mossling, or a capricious, bat-faced Woodgrue. - Choose from nine classes: the charming bard, ardent cleric, willful enchanter, dashing fighter, jolly friar, stealthy hunter, haughty knight, enigmatic magician, or wily thief. - Dolmenwood offers us classic dungeon crawls powered by random encounters and flavorful puzzles, and if we progress, engaging hexcrawling and settlements. Table Expectations I love roleplay-focused games, where character relationships unfold between PCs, NPCs, and the environment. For me, the roleplay environment works best when everyone has some commitment to the theme and tone. There's always room for above-the-table jokes and conversation, but I hope you'll feel comfortable embodying your character during gameplay as the story progresses. The OSE system has many rule differences from games I and many players are used to, and as such, players need to be gracious as we all learn the system. Our table will be best suited for players interested in telling stories built on strong character motivation and a genuine curiosity about the setting of Dolmenwood as presented through gameplay. We will be an adult table, respectful, jovial, and LGBTQ+ friendly.

Paid game

Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Startplaying.games link This campaign takes on average 9 sessions $15 per session - Full conversion from 3.5 to 5.5 done by me. --- Whilst Vlaakith consolidates power on Tu'Narath, a sect of Gith seek to overthrow her and end her undeath - they just need your help. --- Whether you favour peaceful talks or outright war, sometimes a knife in the dark is all that's needed. Remember: nothing unites the people quite like a politically motivated assassination. Overthrowing an immortal tyrant is hard from the inside, that's where you come in. Navigate Vlaakith's lair, find her phylactery and end her undeath! You may (or may not) have played Baldur's Gate 3, and you may (or may not) know who Vlaakith CLVII is. But you definitely don't know about the coup. Vlaakith has ruled the Githyanki for over a thousand years. A lich of legendary power, she maintains her reign through fear, hatred and an iron fist. Centuries of undeath have only deepened her paranoia. Her latest scheme is enough to draw concern from the Sha'sal Khou: The creation of Duthka'Gith, terrifying hybrids born from the fusion of Githyanki and dragon through foul magic. Enter the Sha'sal Khou, a clandestine movement of Githyanki and Githzerai seeking to reunite their people under a single leader and a common purpose. They believe Vlaakith must be stopped — permanently. They need your help killing Vlaakith. --- Character creation Creating your character Character creation can happen in many ways: 📋 During Session 0 we can build a character together whilst we talk. 🐉 If you have a DNDBeyond sheet we can import it into the system. 📝 If you have a paper sheet I will re-create the character for you. 💪 Characters will be level 15 - Point Buy or Standard Array. 📕 Species and Subclasses from these books are permitted: PHB, MPMM, FTD, TCE, XGE, GotG, BMT ⚡ Spells from all books (barring Strixhaven) are permitted What to expect Preparing for the session 💻 A laptop or computer with a resolution of 1366x768 or higher is recommended to ease of playing.* 🔊 Discord 🎙️ A microphone 🕴️ A character idea or concept 📒 (Optional) Something to take notes on 📹 (Optional) A webcam 📱Mobile will have issues using the VTT Software What Matthew (ItsScottish) brings to the table I will bring the server that the game will be hosted on firstly. The maps were from the book to fit perfectly whilst playing & the atmosphere has been set to build the story. 📹 Webcams are NOT necessary though I will have mine on during session 🔉 Voices are not required though I will use them myself. Homebrew rules Deus Ex Machina Death hurts us all, rage or sadness pick your poison. That being said, sometimes the war continues. As your friends grieve your loss - your God may reject your soul. - Every character gets 1 - If you die in a long drawn out battle and get fully expended, by same grace of God, you are brought back to fight a final fight. --- Safety How Matthew (ItsScottish) creates a safe table 📃 Before Session 0 I will send you a Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist. In this I will tick the things I have OK'd in the game (Both Module and Player Content). ❌ During Session 0 I will go over my lines with you. I will let you know where I stand with things and what I have omitted from the module (if anything). We can also discuss your Consent Form incase similarities arise, an example being "You are not OK with Spiders but are you OK with Scorpions?". As well as that we can create your character (if you do not have one already) 🔁 In the time between S0 and S1 I will remove the tokens of specific creatures and alter the adventure as needed. 🚶During the session you are free to break off for your own reasons - let me know as you do and I will move you along with the party. 🗣️ At the end of all my games I oft sit and talk with my players for a bit. As soon as the game ends the line between DM and player dissolves and I like to make that obvious.

Beyond the hearth lie forgotten roads, the halls of fallen kings, and a Shadow stirring in the forgotten corners of Middle-earth. Your journey begins in Bree, where rumours of ancient ruins, growing unrest, and the lingering memory of Angmar draw an unlikely fellowship onto the road. Of Hope and Other Sorrows is a Tolkien-grounded, roleplay-heavy sandbox campaign where exploration, friendships, difficult choices, and small acts of courage shape an unfolding story. Your adventures also share a living world with my established Thursday campaign. Through letters, rumours, and discoveries, the actions of one fellowship may influence the fate of another. What to expect: Meaningful roleplay, exploration, mystery, and occasional dangerous combat. A reactive world shaped by your choices and character backstories. A welcoming, collaborative table for newcomers and veterans alike. When: Tuesdays, 18:30 UTC (2–3 hours) Where: Discord + D&D Beyond Maps Price: $20 per session Spaces: 5 available; 2 more players needed to begin. No previous experience with Tolkien's RPGs required. One Game Master and one player - no party to coordinate with.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Concept:    Nameless and Forsaken, you trudge through an endless Dungeon. A Rougelike experience.  You crawl out of the ground, shivering and confused; a Torch is  the only light.  A body lay before you, A Sword  besides it. You are not alone in the Dark. Tone: Forboding and unforgiving. You bleed and fall, the poison fills your lungs & darkens your eyes. The Antitoxin in your hand, your guts in the other.

D&D. DM is looking for the players (16-18+)

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Monday – Friday (there are 3 players groups on Thursday & Friday at 18:00 GMT+2) A group decides on day & time Most people will probably play between 16:00 – 21:00 (GMT+0) It'll be played in a Discord voice chat "Theatre of the Mind" playstyle (means no VTT) Discord (weebseatshit) *PREMISE* You are dragged into a dangerous encounter together with other unlucky ones. Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's an RP-focused, casual, beginner-friendly Forgotten Realms based homebrew campaign, with an emphasis on story & adventures Ratio: 60 Roleplay/30 Exploration/10 Combat Starting level is 1, Point Buy, Milestone leveling Spells become cantrips, a player can cast them without components or GP Cooldown of spells depends from their power level & the DM's will, but if a player is gonna spam spells, i'll Elfen Lied him or put some shit like Leo Bonhart from Witcher  Some spells that affect game's balance & world, may be forbidden. It'll be discussed HP are cinematic. Depending from how much & what kind of damage a character receives, i'll adjust his condition Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) Artificer & Psion aren't allowed I'll describe locations & looks with little to no detail Just like with the books, i'd prefer that every player imagined their own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore) About forbidden spells As an example, this is only level 1 Wizard, but i hope you get an idea Mending Charm Person Detect Magic Detect Poison and Disease Friends Unseen Servant Tasha's Hideous Laughter Sudden Awakening Sleep Sense Emotion Puppet Identify Id Insinuation Healing Elixir Disguise Self Comprehend Languages Cause Fear Ressurection & lethal spells Instead of using ability checks or in-game tools (acquiring unique items, talking to people, searching for clues, improvise), a player casts a spell that speedruns a campaign But a player can prepare all other spells A tystling is similar to a cat Monochrome darkvision Enhanced senses: smell, hearing, vision, touch & balance (+3 Dexterity, Perception, Acrobatics) Soft step: walking is almost noiseless (unless a tystling has something noisy on), running is slightly quieter comparing to other races (+4 Stealth) A tystling is shorter than an elf, but taller than a dwarf A tystling is slim like an elf, but lighter than an elf, with smaller muscles. That makes a tystling even more agile & dexterous than an elf, but it's very hard for a tystling to lift or carry medium heavy things (8 AC, -5 Strength, Athletics)

Phandelver & Below: The Shattered Obelisk Beginner

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Phandelver & Below: The Shattered Obelisk New to D&D? Experienced adventurer? Either way, you're welcome at my table. Something is wrong in Phandalin. What begins as a classic adventure on the Sword Coast will take you from goblin-filled caves and dangerous wilderness to ancient ruins, strange magic, and secrets buried deep beneath the world. Phandelver & Below: The Shattered Obelisk is a campaign that starts with the beloved Lost Mine of Phandelver adventure before gradually transforming into something much stranger and more dangerous. And you get to decide how your story unfolds along the way. ⚔️ What to Expect 🎭 Roleplay & memorable characters Phandalin is filled with people worth meeting, helping, annoying, or occasionally punching. Your character's choices matter, and I'll give you plenty of opportunities to develop their story. 🗺️ Exploration & adventure Travel through the Sword Coast, discover forgotten locations, investigate mysteries and uncover what is really happening around Phandalin. ⚔️ Exciting combat Expect a mixture of tactical encounters, dangerous monsters, classic D&D enemies and the occasional fight that goes very differently from what you expected. 🧩 Mystery & discovery There is more happening beneath Phandalin than initially meets the eye. Strange events, missing people and mysterious forces gradually reveal a much larger threat. 😂 A relaxed table This is an adventure, but we're here to have fun. Expect serious moments, ridiculous plans, terrible decisions and the occasional natural 20 that completely changes everything. 🆕 New to D&D? Absolutely no problem. You don't need to know every rule before joining. I'll explain the mechanics as we play, help you build your character, and make sure you understand what's happening without turning the game into a rules lecture. Experienced players are equally welcome — especially if you're looking for a campaign where you can really get into your character. 🎲 About the Campaign System: Dungeons & Dragons 5e Starting Level: 1 Ending Level: 12 Players: 4–6 Session Length: 3 hours Frequency: Weekly Experience: Beginners & experienced players welcome We'll use Foundry VTT for maps and combat, with Discord for voice chat. 🧙 Character Creation We'll make sure your character fits naturally into the campaign and has reasons to actually care about the adventure. You don't need to arrive with a perfectly finished character sheet. If you have an idea for a character, bring it to me and we'll build it together. 👋 About Your DM I've been playing and running D&D for around 10 years, and I've spent a huge amount of that time behind the DM screen. My goal isn't simply to run you through a published adventure. I want you to leave each session feeling like your party actually created something together. I'll provide the world, characters, monsters and situations — but what happens next is up to you. Grab a seat and let's see what happens in Phandalin.

Curse of Strahd | Gothic Horror D&D Adventure

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Curse of Strahd — Enter Barovia The mists have found you. They do not intend to let you leave. A land trapped beneath an endless grey sky. Ancient forests hide things that should never have survived. Villages cling desperately to what little hope remains. And above it all watches a vampire who has ruled this valley for centuries. Count Strahd von Zarovich knows you are here. The question is whether you'll survive long enough to escape him. 🦇 What to Expect 🩸 A Story About Your Characters Your characters aren't just along for the ride. Your decisions, relationships, fears and ambitions will become part of the story. Barovia will react to what you do — and Strahd will take notice. 🏰 Gothic Horror & Dark Fantasy Expect haunted castles, cursed villages, ancient forests, terrifying creatures and people who have learned to survive in a world without hope. The campaign can be dark and unsettling, but we'll keep the table itself welcoming and enjoyable. 🎭 Roleplay & Character Development Barovia is filled with people who have their own problems, secrets and motivations. You'll have plenty of opportunities to interact with NPCs, make difficult choices and decide what your character is willing to sacrifice. ⚔️ Dangerous Combat Combat matters. Not every encounter is designed to be won by simply charging forward. Sometimes running away is the smartest choice. You'll face creatures that can genuinely threaten your party, and your decisions outside of combat can be just as important as your tactics during it. 🗺️ Exploration & Mystery Barovia isn't a linear dungeon. You'll have freedom to explore the valley, discover its secrets and decide which dangers you're willing to face. 🆕 New to D&D? That's completely fine. You don't need years of D&D experience to join. I'll explain the rules as we play, help you create your character and make sure you understand what's happening. The important thing is that you're ready to play a character and become part of the story. 🎲 Campaign Details System: Dungeons & Dragons 5e Campaign: Curse of Strahd Starting Level: 1 Players: 4–6 Session Length: 3 hours Frequency: Weekly Experience: Beginners & experienced players welcome We'll use Foundry VTT for maps and combat, with Discord for voice chat.

🔥 One HELL of a Heist | A Level 16 Dungeon Crawl

Paid game

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
The Absolute has left Baldur's Gate in ruins, it's people hopeful for a future without the Dead Three. But deep in it's forests: a new evil seems to have crawled out of hell. Animals have grown exceedingly violent, citizens have gone missing & the Druidic Forests seem to be sinking. Rumor has it, a Fiend of Mammon, Archdevil of Greed, is behind it. If it's true, then perhaps the potential for riches has gotten you on the job. Or perhaps, something more personal: as someone you know has gone missing too. You're heroes from the events of Baldur's Gate III, locals that have had enough of the misfortunes, or strangers that banded together. Either way, the ruined city can't afford to send anyone to this hell but you. And for a Beast is strongest in the Den where it sleeps, you'll have to keep your presence secret for as long as possible in order to survive. 🔥The Heist. A Dungeon Crawl emphasizing Stealth, Assassination, & Uncovering Mysteries to Survive. Getting found means fighting above your pay grade 🔥Challenging Enemies. Monsters aren't just Hit Sponges: learn weaknesses, prepare countermeasures, & play unfair - because the enemy certainly won't 🔥Magicraft. Gather Monster essences & craft potions, weapon coatings & magic items to turn the tides of battle 🔥Fear & Hunger. Embody the drama of risking your life with a Critical Injury / Madness Coin-flip system This game is $15, and begins at 6pm PST on Tuesdays. You do not need to know anything about Magic to play. I will provide a player guide explaining the world, important cultures, major regions, and the situation at the beginning of the campaign. This version of Rabiah is being built as a complete D&D setting rather than a short visit to an MTG location. It has its own calendar, cultures, governments, trade routes, factions, settlements, regional economies, and conflicts that continue moving whether the party becomes involved or not. The campaign begins in Marsa Qamar during the First Open Roads Convocation. New passages have made travel between Rabiah, its alternate Refractions, and other planes much more common. That has created opportunities for trade, travel, migration, and reunion. It has also created arguments over who controls these passages, who may use them, and what happens when two versions of history begin contradicting each other. There is a central conflict, but there is no required route through it. NPCs will give you clear leads and real choices about where to go next. You may work with a faction, oppose it, change its leadership, ignore it, or discover that somebody you trusted had a very different plan. Problems elsewhere will continue to develop while the party is making those decisions. I want the world to feel like it exists beyond the player characters. Merchants travel, families make decisions, factions spend resources, and local problems may improve or get worse without the party. If you save one town, another situation may change while you are gone. That does not mean I automatically choose the worst outcome whenever you ignore something. It means the rest of Rabiah is also allowed to act. The tone will depend partly on where you go and what you choose to do. Some sessions may be lighthearted, strange, or hopeful. Others may become dangerous or genuinely dark. I am aiming for grounded adventure rather than constant misery. The world can be deadly, but I am not trying to trick players into dying. Serious danger will usually be communicated. Planning, negotiation, retreat, local knowledge, and asking for help can matter as much as having the strongest attack. Each player will have an individual Session 0.5 prologue. Your character begins at level 1 and reaches level 3 during that prologue. This gives us time to establish who the character was before meeting the party, introduce some people from their life, and let their early abilities come from something that actually happened. Players will also be able to contribute up to three notable NPCs from their character’s history. Families, former allies, rivals, mentors, employers, and faction connections can become part of the living world. I will work directly with you before using major personal material. Your backstory matters, but it will not be used as permission to do whatever I want to your character. Mechanically, we will use the 2024 rules as our foundation. Approved 2014 material and options from the Planeshifted Guide to Rabiah may supplement them. Rabiah has nine primary playable peoples, including Humans, Ogres, Genasi, Merfolk, Bird Maidens, Goblins, Viashino, Minotaurs, and Brass Men. Other Magic species may also work if we can give the character a believable place in the setting. This is meant to be a cooperative campaign. Characters can disagree, keep secrets, have selfish goals, and make questionable decisions. They still need a reason to travel together and care about what happens to the rest of the party. PvP will only happen when everyone directly involved agrees to it outside the game. Because this is a long campaign, attendance matters. We will normally play if one person is absent, with their character handled carefully as an NPC. If two or more players cannot attend, the campaign session will be canceled or rescheduled. Campaign audio will be recorded so I can privately transcribe sessions and keep accurate notes. The recordings are not for streaming, a podcast, or public release. Players must be comfortable with that arrangement, and recording can be paused whenever somebody needs to discuss something personal or private. If you are interested, fill out an application! I am not looking for the person with the most D&D experience or the most detailed character pitch. I am mainly looking for people who communicate, share the spotlight, care about the world, and are genuinely interested in staying with a long campaign. The start date can happen when we find a compatiable crew! I will speak with interested players individually before choosing the final group.

Greek-myth campaign for Daggerheart

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
"Five years ago, a thousand ships answered Agamemnon's call and departed Greece to bring about Ilium's ruin. The greatest heroes, the mightiest weapons, and the most mythical stories are somewhere else.  You are among who remains.  I am Homer, and I will sing of you, amongst Other Names." Set in a fabled Age of Rhapsody — paying homage to the Bronze Age, Greek tragedy and comedy, and classical myth — Echoes of Fate is a homebrew Campaign Frame for Daggerheart exploring lies and prophecies, the making of myths, and what it costs to break destiny. You are not the hero the epic was written for. No prophecy names you. No Muse has claimed your story...yet. So what do you make of a life the songs haven't told yet? If you are a fan of myth retellings such as EPIC: the Musical, A Thousand Ships, The Song of Achilles, come sit by the fire. Some notes on the setting: •  The gods are present but distracted — drawing their eye may bring you greatness, or ruin. Or maybe you'll be drawn to the Mysteries instead? •  No prophecy protects you: your choices ripple outward, and could alter canon myths and even the course of the war itself. •  All stories are welcome, this table is LGBTQ+ friendly. •  New to tabletop, Daggerheart, or Greek myth? This table is beginner-friendly. And no Classics degree required, just curiosity. Sessions will be paid through StartPlaying.com, at 25$ per session. About me: - I've been a Dungeon Master for almost 8 years and I have plenty of experience in guiding new players. I prefer Theater of the Mind with minimal VTT support. - Your story will matter and I love a long, narrative background I can weave into the main story. - I do character voices!  - I also do character artworks :D Safety tools: Session 0, Lines and Veils, Consent checklist and X cards. I prefer to be honest in advance: Echoes of Fate draws from real life in addition to myth. Slavery was present in Ancient Greece, as was mysogyny, war and violence. You will be able to challenge these in-game through your character, or ask me to avoid mentioning them and I will do my best to do so.

Hello and welcome to your first adventure in the world of Dungeons & Dragons! If you want to join a fresh adventure but are not sure where to start, this is the perfect place for you. I am Glacial (gringo), an experienced Dungeon Master with over 12 years of experience running various TTRPGs such as Cyberpunk RED, D&D 5e, D&D 2024 (5.5e), and Daggerheart. Even though I have GMed for many different groups all over the world, my favorite remains Dungeons & Dragons—especially for beginners. I just can't get enough of seeing people discover this game (the best game ever made) for the very first time! I currently host a Discord server with over 40 players, most of whom are currently playing or have played in my games. You are more than welcome to hop in and ask them about the campaigns we've run! We have a great global community with players from the US, UK, Poland, Hungary, Finland, Romania, Germany, and beyond. The Campaign: A Customized Faerûn Experience Now that the introductions are out of the way, let me present you with my completely customized Faerûn experience! In this game, you will have the chance to be part of a story that revolves fully around your character's lore. I take the well-known world of Abeir-Toril and Faerûn—including iconic locations like Baldur's Gate, Waterdeep, Candlekeep, and Neverwinter—and build a brand-new campaign setting after discussing interests with my players. We could go on an adventure all the way to the Thay Mountains to battle the Red Wizards, venture into the dangerous jungles of Chult to uncover the mysteries of a forgotten land, or stick to the crowded, familiar cities of the Sword Coast where adventures are always abound. What You Need to Jump In The only things you need to do are add me on Discord, have a working microphone, and set up a Roll20 account (which I am happy to help you with). I will explain everything else! I will make sure everyone at the table knows how to play, and I will walk you through character creation step-by-step. You need literally zero experience to join. With that said, experienced players are also fully welcome! The cost of the game will be ranging from: $15 - $20 depending on the days we choose and the number of players.  What are you waiting for? Add me on Discord: gringo1380

Adventures in the Dolmenwood

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hi folks! I'm Steve, and I'm looking for 3–4 players to join a Dolmenwood campaign. There's already one player onboard, with the aim of having five total — so when someone inevitably can't make it, we've still got a good-sized party to adventure with. The Basics Wednesday evenings, 19:30–23:00 BST (London, UK time) Online via Foundry VTT + Discord for A/V The Game If you don't know it, Dolmenwood is an OSR hex-crawl set in a dark fairy-tale woodland inspired by British folklore. Think enchanted woods, scheming fey, and crumbling ruins rather than epic high fantasy. The campaign will be completely player-led, emergent gameplay — you decide where to go and what to do, and the story emerges around you. No railroads here. I run an RP-heavy table where combats are fast, brutal and generally takes a back seat to story and exploration. If you like the idea of talking your way past a hag one minute and running for your life the next, you'll fit right in. What I Provide Fully set up Foundry VTT All the Dolmenwood books — you don't need to buy a thing A Session Zero to make characters together, set expectations, and make sure everyone vibes before we kick off Who's a Good Fit? You're excited about trying something different — OSR plays nothing like modern D&D. You're comfortable with lethal combat — characters can and will die. It's what makes every decision matter. You value roleplay and creative problem-solving over optimised builds and grid tactics. You enjoy exploration and discovery — poking around a weird mushroom circle or negotiating with a talking fox is just as much "the game" as fighting monsters If you've never played an OSR style game, don't worry - neither have I 😂 However the rules are simple, the focus is on creativity over crunch, and we'll learn together. 🏳️‍🌈 This is an LGBTQ+ friendly table. Everyone is welcome, and I expect all players to be respectful and supportive of one another. No exceptions. About Me (the GM) I'm Steve, born in the 80s, a kid of the 90s. My references are a mix of Ghostbusters crossed with Anchorman. I've been GMing for 10 years and recently wrapped up a two-year PF2e Kingmaker campaign. During that time I spread my wings away from modern d20 fantasy combat games and fell down the TTRPG rabbit hole. Sadly, my old group (bar one!) weren't keen on straying from D&D/PF2e — but every cloud has a silver lining. I'm really looking forward to meeting some new people. If you're interested, please fill out this form and I'll get back to you: https://forms.gle/VwiWhxsFDb7WY69R9
