Remember: nothing unites the people quite like a politically motivated assassination. Overthrowing an immortal tyrant is hard from the inside, that's where you come in. Navigate Vlaakith's lair, find her phylactery and end her undeath! You may (or may not) have played Baldur's Gate 3, and you may (or may not) know who Vlaakith CLVII is. But you definitely don't know about the coup. Vlaakith has ruled the Githyanki for over a thousand years. A lich of legendary power, she maintains her reign through fear, hatred and an iron fist. Centuries of undeath have only deepened her paranoia. Her latest scheme is enough to draw concern from the Sha'sal Khou: The creation of Duthka'Gith, terrifying hybrids born from the fusion of Githyanki and dragon through foul magic. Enter the Sha'sal Khou, a clandestine movement of Githyanki and Githzerai seeking to reunite their people under a single leader and a common purpose. They believe Vlaakith must be stopped — permanently. They need your help killing Vlaakith. --- Character creation Creating your character Character creation can happen in many ways: 📋 During Session 0 we can build a character together whilst we talk. 🐉 If you have a DNDBeyond sheet we can import it into the system. 📝 If you have a paper sheet I will re-create the character for you. 💪 Characters will be level 15 - Point Buy or Standard Array. 📕 Species and Subclasses from these books are permitted: PHB, MPMM, FTD, TCE, XGE, GotG, BMT ⚡ Spells from all books (barring Strixhaven) are permitted What to expect Preparing for the session 💻 A laptop or computer with a resolution of 1366x768 or higher is recommended to ease of playing.* 🔊 Discord 🎙️ A microphone 🕴️ A character idea or concept 📒 (Optional) Something to take notes on 📹 (Optional) A webcam 📱Mobile will have issues using the VTT Software What Matthew (ItsScottish) brings to the table I will bring the server that the game will be hosted on firstly. Homebrew rules Deus Ex Machina Death hurts us all, rage or sadness pick your poison. That being said, sometimes the war continues. As your friends grieve your loss - your God may reject your soul. - Every character gets 1 - If you die in a long drawn out battle and get fully expended, by same grace of God, you are brought back to fight a final fight. --- Safety How Matthew (ItsScottish) creates a safe table 📃 Before Session 0 I will send you a Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist. In this I will tick the things I have OK'd in the game (Both Module and Player Content). ❌ During Session 0 I will go over my lines with you. I will let you know where I stand with things and what I have omitted from the module (if anything). We can also discuss your Consent Form incase similarities arise, an example being "You are not OK with Spiders but are you OK with Scorpions?". As well as that we can create your character (if you do not have one already) 🔁 In the time between S0 and S1 I will remove the tokens of specific creatures and alter the adventure as needed. 🚶During the session you are free to break off for your own reasons - let me know as you do and I will move you along with the party. 🗣️ At the end of all my games I oft sit and talk with my players for a bit. this is a beginner friendly campaign that is inspired by the game series mass effect So you and your group of friends were still drunk that when you stumbled into the woods and found a strange and abandoned space ship, completely unaware its a nautiloid ship that's used by mind flayers well you and your friends stole it and started having a bunch of adventures including intergalactic ones where you even recruited some people to join you to keep this spaceship running. only to eventually stumble onto evidence that a group of more zealot than normal gith and mind flayers have created a TERRIBLE alliance and are preparing to dominate the galaxy and sword coast so its up to you and your stolen space ship to stop it This game has heavy rpg element's, puzzles and mystery and a focus of not just the main campaign but finding allies and recruiting for your new ship Content warnings  Body Horror Extreme Violence Execution Genocide Gore Kidnapping Mass Death Talk of Superior Race Terrorism In Session 0, I discuss player boundaries and also share my own boundaries as the DM. It’s also a great opportunity to set clear expectations for the campaign before we start playing. If any issues arise later for any reason, I’m happy to hold another Session 0 to revisit boundaries and safety tools together. During sessions, I build in regular breaks (usually 5–10 minutes, or longer if needed). These give everyone a chance to rest mentally, grab something to eat, or take care of personal needs. Players are always welcome to request a break at any time. During more intense sessions or scenes, I remind everyone that my private messages (DMs) are always open. If you ever feel uncomfortable but don’t want to speak up in the moment, you can message me privately. I take all feedback seriously and will prioritize your comfort. Take your first steps into Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk. Explore unfamiliar places, meet people worth getting attached to, and discover the adventure together; no story knowledge needed. I like players who give me something unexpected to work with. An elaborate bluff, an improvised trap, a plan held together by optimism: pitch it, and we’ll see what happens. My table runs on creative freedom, nilboggery and consequences. There’s room for silliness, but danger still matters. Help your companions shine, get involved in the world, and be prepared to live with your decisions. I also use a few patrons to enhance the experience, including Baileywiki, JB2A, and PSFX. Sessions are $5 each. They run 3 to 5 hours, with breaks. Stats are standard array, or if you feel like some whimsy, you can roll and hand the dice to your fate!
