"You remember our venerable house, opulent and imperial. It is a festering abomination! I beg you. Return home; claim your birthright, and deliver our family from the ravenous, clutching shadows of the Darkest Dungeon." Hi everyone I'm looking for 4-6 players for a Darkest Dungeon themed old school D&D campaign. I'll be running it through Old School Essentials (A repackaging of Basic/Expert D&D) with some fairly heavy homebrewing to make it fit the source material (Stress, Quirks, Unique Heroes) It should be fairly accessible to anyone, regardless of your experience with D&D or old school play. The overall focus will be on delving the dungeons of the region, recovering artefacts, amassing wealth and getting powerful enough to finally defeat the evil deep beneath the manor. Currently looking at Sunday 6pm CET / 12pm EDT with some room for flexibility based on replies. Play will be on Discord. Open to any enjoyer of Darkest Dungeon, regardless of experience. Drop me a DM if you're interested and tell me who your favourite hero is. I look forward to hearing from you!

OSE Stonehell mega dungeon

Stonehell is a classic-style mega-dungeon. Once a prison built to house dissenters, it evolved into an expansive, multi-level complex filled with over 1000 rooms, rival factions, and terrifying secrets. Campaign has been running for 3 months, currently with 4 players, looking for 1-2 more. Still exploring levels 1 and 2 (its a big dungeon!). Please note the time zone (Australia). Friday 7-11PM AEDT (UTC+11)

Welcome to Stonehell a classic dungeon crawl

Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
We’re an in-person tabletop group focused on trying a wide variety of systems and styles, from narrative-driven games like Brindlewood Bay and Wildsea to more tactical experiences like Tresspasser or Drawsteel. Our next campaign will be an OSR-style dungeon crawl using Stonehell Megadungeon with the Old-School Essentials (OSE) system. The emphasis will be on clever play—using tools, resources, and careful decision-making to out-think the dungeon rather than brute force it. No prior experience with **any** system is required. What matters most is your approach to play and how well you fit with the group socially. We value collaboration, adaptability, and a shared focus on having a good time at the table. We take turns running games and prefer 6-8 week campaigns. If you are only looking to just be a player **AWESOME** if you maybe want to try being a GM/DM that's great too! We’re looking for consistent in-person players who enjoy experimenting with different styles of TTRPGs and being part of an open, friendly group that prioritizes fun and exploration over strict rules enforcement. LGBTQ+ Friendly! We typically meet every week on Mondays 5:30-9:00 \[MST\] in Pleasant Grove, UT. Send me a message on Reddit and we can talk more about specifics!

Time: Monday, June 1st at 6:30pm CST (7:30pm EST, 4:30pm PST) Restrictions/Requirements: Working mic, Roll 20, adults only. The Sinister Secret of Peacock Point: Explore an abandoned insect-haunted thieves guild secreted beneath a light house! An elderly wizard has offered to reward you handsomely for retrieving his Music Box from the infamous Apple Bottom Gang. “Whatever you do, DON’T OPEN THE BOX!” What is Old School Essentials? The Basic/Expert Rules were an official D&D ruleset that were published concurrently with the (more well known) editions of AD&D. For this game we are using the Old School Essentials books, which are reprints of B/X with minor quality of life improvements (ex. The infamous THAC0 system can be swapped for modern D&D’s AC system).

D&D Magic the Gathering-Rabiah

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
System: D&D 2024 Platform: Discord, D&D Beyond, D&D Beyond Maps, and LegendKeeper Schedule: Thursday, 6pm Central Time Frequency: WEEKLY  Session length: About four hours Campaign length: Approximately 50–75 sessions Starting level: Level 1 prologue, with the full party beginning at level 3 Expected ending level: Level 16 Cost: Free Players: I am looking for four players, with the possibility of adding a fifth if the group fit is right. I am putting together a long-term online campaign set on Rabiah, one of Magic: The Gathering’s earliest planes. You do not need to know anything about Magic to play. I will provide a player guide explaining the world, important cultures, major regions, and the situation at the beginning of the campaign. This version of Rabiah is being built as a complete D&D setting rather than a short visit to an MTG location. It has its own calendar, cultures, governments, trade routes, factions, settlements, regional economies, and conflicts that continue moving whether the party becomes involved or not. The campaign begins in Marsa Qamar during the First Open Roads Convocation. New passages have made travel between Rabiah, its alternate Refractions, and other planes much more common. That has created opportunities for trade, travel, migration, and reunion. It has also created arguments over who controls these passages, who may use them, and what happens when two versions of history begin contradicting each other. There is a central conflict, but there is no required route through it. NPCs will give you clear leads and real choices about where to go next. You may work with a faction, oppose it, change its leadership, ignore it, or discover that somebody you trusted had a very different plan. Problems elsewhere will continue to develop while the party is making those decisions. I want the world to feel like it exists beyond the player characters. Merchants travel, families make decisions, factions spend resources, and local problems may improve or get worse without the party. If you save one town, another situation may change while you are gone. That does not mean I automatically choose the worst outcome whenever you ignore something. It means the rest of Rabiah is also allowed to act. The tone will depend partly on where you go and what you choose to do. Some sessions may be lighthearted, strange, or hopeful. Others may become dangerous or genuinely dark. I am aiming for grounded adventure rather than constant misery. The world can be deadly, but I am not trying to trick players into dying. Serious danger will usually be communicated. Planning, negotiation, retreat, local knowledge, and asking for help can matter as much as having the strongest attack. Each player will have an individual Session 0.5 prologue. Your character begins at level 1 and reaches level 3 during that prologue. This gives us time to establish who the character was before meeting the party, introduce some people from their life, and let their early abilities come from something that actually happened. Players will also be able to contribute up to three notable NPCs from their character’s history. Families, former allies, rivals, mentors, employers, and faction connections can become part of the living world. I will work directly with you before using major personal material. Your backstory matters, but it will not be used as permission to do whatever I want to your character. Mechanically, we will use the 2024 rules as our foundation. Approved 2014 material and options from the Planeshifted Guide to Rabiah may supplement them. Rabiah has nine primary playable peoples, including Humans, Ogres, Genasi, Merfolk, Bird Maidens, Goblins, Viashino, Minotaurs, and Brass Men. Other Magic species may also work if we can give the character a believable place in the setting. This is meant to be a cooperative campaign. Characters can disagree, keep secrets, have selfish goals, and make questionable decisions. They still need a reason to travel together and care about what happens to the rest of the party. PvP will only happen when everyone directly involved agrees to it outside the game. Because this is a long campaign, attendance matters. We will normally play if one person is absent, with their character handled carefully as an NPC. If two or more players cannot attend, the campaign session will be canceled or rescheduled. Campaign audio will be recorded so I can privately transcribe sessions and keep accurate notes. The recordings are not for streaming, a podcast, or public release. Players must be comfortable with that arrangement, and recording can be paused whenever somebody needs to discuss something personal or private. If you are interested, send me a message with: Your preferred name and pronouns Your age Your time zone and general availability Your experience with D&D or other roleplaying games Whether you know anything about Magic: The Gathering; “nothing” is a completely acceptable answer What you normally enjoy most in a campaign One or two rough character ideas, if you already have any What about this campaign caught your attention Anything you would want to ask me before committing I am not looking for the person with the most D&D experience or the most detailed character pitch. I am mainly looking for people who communicate, share the spotlight, care about the world, and are genuinely interested in staying with a long campaign. The start date can happen when we find a compatiable crew! I will speak with interested players individually before choosing the final group.

Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Game system: Pathfinder 2e Remastered, with optional rules to recapture more of the 3.5 D&D feel. CONTENT WARNING: This is not an inclusive or “safe space” game. Fantasy adventure involves horrible and offensive topics. This official module can include or touch on: abduction, potential player-character death, extreme poverty, death by dysentery, stagnant water, fantasy deities, magic and the occult, animal harm, violence and gore, maiming driven by racial hatred, prostitution, brothels, sex, alcohol use, drug abuse, addiction, poisoning, murder, false accusation, witch hunts, religion twisted into fanaticism, abandoned children, harm to children, plague and mass death, genocide, war, indentured servitude (slavery), Unichs, false imprisonment, assassins, violations of the Nuremberg principles on informed consent and experimentation, supernatural pacts, beheadings, tyranical taxes, death, evil cults, indoctrination, domination, unlawful detention, bondage, imprisonment, toxic waste, environmental destruction, torture, body horror, maiming and death by fire or acid, corpses and human remains, undead (ghosts, ghouls, vampires), giant spiders and webbing, snakes, bats, other monstrous insects and vermin, necrophilia, non-consensual undeath, prolonged drowning, quicksand, twisted “nobility,” family legacies of incest and debt, fiery destruction, animal attacks, gruesome traps, mind control, forced transformations (lycanthropy), volcanic eruption, hazardous geo thermal features, claustrophobia, and more. Not for the fragile or the mentally ill.  Published module: The Fall of Plaguestone. Twist: Run as an Otherworlder / Isekai adventure (influences include Sword Art Online, Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash, The Wizard of Oz, the “Den” segment of the animated film Heavy Metal, and similar stories). You and a few others are somehow brought to another world of monsters, magic, and madness. Optional rules and Character creation: All player characters are Human only. Ancestral Paragon, Free Archetype, gradual ability boosts, Automatic bonus progresion are in play. Characters begin with amnesia. They have no classes or background—these must be earned in play. No evil characters. Not using the free ability boosts method. Ability scores are rolled: 3d6, then replace the lowest die with a 6. Only ancestry boost is applied. Ability scores (and the resulting bell curve) help describe your character. Attribute − 10 is the modifier. Good and Evil are objective, real forces. Alignment is not used, but sins committed are tracked. Introduction: You arrived at the northeastern tip of the nation of Isger, inside a farmer’s harvest and seed storage building, surrounded by Tar Baphon's undead hordes. one of the otherworld characters on watch ran outside and was promptly slain by ghouls. Seems all of you are trapped! Bort Bargrith's caravan clears the way and intent on resupply stop at the harvest storage building. Bort the dwarf rogue, Tamil the elven bard, and Shae the halfling ranger discover all of you. There is a confusing moment when no one can comunicate due to language. Bort provides a magical ring that gives you litteracy and fluency in the Common Andorian language. Bort says, "you must come with us or you will die here! The farmer families who opperated these farms are dead and by salvage rites you lot own all of this Stock. You can join my caravan fleeing Tar Baphon, in exchange for some of your goods."   GM: on the journey you may learn languages, purchase 30 gold of starting equipment, through use of Bort's magic rings and from the mass of refugees in the caravan get training in a trade (earn your background) and adapt to this world (earn your class) in the months of travel south. Setting context (past twenty years): Tar Baphon, the Slayer of Aroden, the Arch-lich, and the Dread Tyrant’s undead armies are marching south. The Goblinblood Wars have recently ended (a united effort by greenskin and scaled races to genocide everyone else). The orc war against the dwarves of the Five Kings Mountains has only recently ended. The hobgoblin Ironfang invasion of Molthune and Nirmathas has recently ended. Cults of undeath, disease, plague, death, chaos and destruction (Urgathoa, the Whispering Way, Rovagug) have been largely decimated, but hidden cultists remain and anyone you meet could be one. A recent witch-hunting inquisition died out, yet public suspicion of spellcasters still runs deep among survivors. A plague on the east side of the nation of Isger killed 70% of the mortal population. Platform: Discord. Voice. I will share my screen. I use Pathbuilder ( $5 to unlock all features, it is helpful if you have it, but you do not need it.). Starting: At a time the players agree on, once I have three or more players. Contact me here if you want to join and play in this Adventure.

Sulia

Hey. My DM posted the other day about looking for 3 to 4 players to join in a homebrew world that we've both spent arguably too much time making. The have been DM'ing for the last 2ish years (not a forever DM, it was her choice) and unfortunately scheduling with a previous group fell apart. She just wants to see the story through. It's her child at this point. *We had about 60 people apply when it was posted originally a day or two ago but so many people just haven't checked their* ***discord friend requests*** *for us to get to know you. If you've already applied,* ***please quickly fill the form again or check your discord friend requests.*** **She's looking for at least 1 other woman to join so that she's not completely alone in a group of men.** Currently, we're a team of two F, 31 and M, 32. We want to find a group that mesh nicely together both for D&D and maybe other online games if the feeling takes us. The DM is a shift worker so rather flexible on availability, Ideally, the sessions would be at least two times a month. However this can be determined by the group. **In Short: Onwards from 17:00 GMT every two weeks** **Campaign Tone:** Semi-serious, Mix of roleplay and combat and plenty of time for shenanigans. **Platform:** Discord with mics, application can be discussed roll20, dndbeyond, paper **Starting Level:** Level 1 **Addition Notes:** The homebrew world has a timeline. We initially start in the typical D&D style with that kind of medieval theme but there is also the addition of being able to jump a few thousand years into the future where we have the same base world but we adventure out into space with a modified version of Spelljammer which has Cyberpunk/BladeRunner vibes. So we may additionally jump into this if you're interested or if we need to fill the space between campaigns being made. **The Campaign** The planet we're on is called **Sulia**, a medieval fantasy world full of whimsy is on verge of an ancient threat that has fallen from history, time wiping out all knowledge. Whilst the world is homebrew and so is the main story, we will be visiting official modules for fun, the golden vault, frozen sick. The DM desperately still need to run a beach episode. Pls help fulfil that dream. **What can you expect from us?** Both current players make our own maps, if a map is needed the DM will likely make it. (The world map is a work in progress while we figure out locations and whatever the story needs) Hopefully a good storyline with a detailed world to match The DM may or may not want to form an alliance with you for said shenanigans Free inspiration if you tell the DM their maps are good... And because we're sadly adults and are secretly here to collect your data and sell it to Daddy Bezos, there is a form to fill out. Some of you might already have filled this out. If you have please check your friends requests on discord.  https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeAnSthz3Vk9TyhKdosRGDq3t4kwGsTL7mXI_SVPPlB1TYK5Q/viewform Feel free to ask any other questions either in the comments or through the chat function

Daggerheart | What came after the fall.

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
We are a group looking for 1-2 new players to join us for an upcoming daggerheart campaign that takes place in my new homebrew setting of Insonja. A mysterious supernatural event caused 3/4th of the world's population to disapear in a flash and then the world fell apart to war, famine and monsters resulting in its current post-apocolyptic state. The players are survivors who reside in the former capital of the world's greatest super power, the imperium of Reem. What survived of the capital and the heartland of the imperium was taken over by a cult that worships a group of angelic beings that are known as the Heralds. The rules of the cult are strict and they expect everyone who resides in its domain to follow said rules regardless of own opinion on religion. However the capital of Reem is one of the few safe areas in the world with civilization. Will this cult provide the safety and salvation that it claims to offer, or is it just replacing the chaos of the wasteland with a different form of evil?  This will be my second attempt at running a daggerheart campaign after the last one fell apart due to scheduling issues. The plan is to run the game as long as players keep interest in it. While I am new to running daggerheart I do have plenty of experience running dnd 5e and other systems.  I have a zero tolerance policy for bigotry and bullying. I am on the autism spectrum and we have LGBT+ players in the group. If interested in the game send my a message on discord, my username is billbroston. We will try to schedule a chat with me and the rest of the current group to decide who will be the ones to be invited to the campaign. We plan on having a session at least every other week on Wednesda.

Halloween Oneshot - The Living Hotel

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello everyone, I'm Winter! I am back with another game idea, this time inspired by psychological horror and an RNG concept I've had. I'm running a special Halloween horror one-shot and looking for a group of players who want to dive into a tense, atmospheric nightmare with me while becoming over-the-table friends along the way. Below you will find the relevant story information, gameplay expectations, and what I am looking for in players. Story Distress letters were sent across the realm for help after a city's own forces were completely wiped out by an unknown threat. the source of the catastrophe has been traced back to a grand, historic hotel in the heart of the city. When you step inside, you realize the horror is much worse than you imagined. the hotel itself seems to be breathing. the walls are warm, the pipes groan like they are in pain, and every single time you open a door, the room itself shifts and changes, pulling from a randomized reality of deadly traps and encounters. you must navigate this shifting labyrinth, uncover what is happening to this building, save the city, and survive the night. Gameplay This will be a serious, narrative-focused dnd 5e horror one-shot built on an unpredictable RNG core. the main mechanic at play within the hotel is a randomized table of pre-generated rooms. when you open a door, your rolls will determine what you face next from a master list of designed encounters, running through a limited but highly intense selection. the potential for encounters includes a mix of combat against various monsters, dangerous traps, and psychological tests. while the oneshot isn't designed to completely wipe the party, it is meant to be challenging. The encounters range from moderately difficult to incredibly deadly, so please come in with the understanding that player character death is a very real possibility. you will need to take every room seriously and manage your resources carefully if you want to avoid dying before you even reach the final boss at the very end. restorative and healing magic is deeply corrupted inside these walls—attempting to use healing magic will actually deal necrotic damage directly to the caster. you will need to rely on your wits, your resources, and your party to survive. Character Creation & Safety Characters will be at level 5, and we will be using Standard Array for stats. We are using the DND 5e 2014 system. Since this is a dark psychological horror game involving intense themes and unsettling environments, safety at the table is incredibly important to me, so I have included a section for everyone to note 'triggers' if you have any in the application. If you are applying, please be comfortable with mature, terrifying environments! Details We will play over discord using roll20. I am in PST, but any North American timezone (PST/MT/CT/EST) is preferred. The session will take place on 10/31/26, Halloween day! The exact time of day itself is flexible and will be decided based on player availability. players must be 20+. As a dm, I love running serious, story-focused games with strong character investment. I know it can be hard to build massive character arcs or deep player bonds in a single evening, but I really enjoy tailoring games for people who appreciate roleplay and a serious tone over a mindless, arcade-style dungeon crawl. I have been DMing for a few years now, so I am not the most experienced. More than anything, I am looking for players who want to be friends beyond the table itself. I appreciate dnd the most when the table feels close, like true friends. Since this is just a one-shot, the time to build that bond during the session is limited of course, but I am specifically looking for people who genuinely want to stay friends after the game is over—whether that's through gaming together or just chilling in a vc. If you are a player who appreciates this style of game and actively wants to build a friendship, please apply below or message me for the application! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScCnwEwJ4t9qGuD1XiF-hSHf5mg5KkgDm38sAUC_bA2RNhxVw/viewform

The Crooked Moon Campaign

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
[The Crooked Moon] The campaign takes place in Druskenvald, specifically the region of Wickermoor Hollow. Druskenvald is surrounded by the Shroud, a mystical boundary impenetrable to most beings. The player characters are a group of newcomers who travel through the Shroud aboard the Ghostlight Express train and battle primal forces in the land while investigating strange events taking place. DND 5e 2014 rules - Roll 20 - Free

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
I need 3 more players for a DND Im going to run on Sundays at 8:30pm (NZDT or GMT+13) The game will be set in my own homebrew world. We will be using 5e 2014 rules with some optional house rules. I will be using roll 20 for maps, and Discord for voice (i have a private server). My world is set on a different plane of existence parallel to the mortal plane, all sentient inhabitants are anthropomorphic humanoids each based on a different creature. I have my own pantheon and world history, each race has its own lore. There are some things still to be balanced so don't expect perfection. The campaign will be from level 1-5ish but can continue into a long term game if people are happy to. ----------Please no things like trying to bang every NPC you meet and murder hobo's.---------- About me: I will not pull my punches in combat or in consequences for your actions. I will play each NPC and monster to what it is designed to be. Example - if an assassin is targeting your party and you go down he will attack your unconscious body and finish you off. Example 2 - You are rude or offend a noble or royalty, they will seek to punish you sometimes immediately sometimes subtly it depends. Example 3 - You try to rip of a merchant or shopkeeper, they will then warn others of your actions and purposefully raise their prices or refuse service to you until recompense is made. What i expect: Just be respectful to other players and respect the DM's ruling. Be kind lets have fun. Try to keep the swearing down if possible. Try to share the limelight and include others.

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Monday - Thursday    A group decides on day & time Most people will probably play between 16:00 – 21:00 (GMT+0) It'll be played in a Discord voice chat "Theatre of the Mind" playstyle (means no VTT) Discord (weebseatshit) *PREMISE* You are dragged into a dangerous encounter together with other unlucky ones. Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's an RP-focused, Forgotten Realms based homebrew campaign, with an emphasis on story & adventures Ratio: 60 Roleplay/30 Exploration/10 Combat Starting level is 1, Point Buy, Milestone leveling Spells become cantrips, a player can cast them without components or GP Cooldown of spells depends from their power level & the DM's will, but if a player is gonna spam spells, i'll Elfen Lied him or put some shit like Leo Bonhart from Witcher  Some spells that affect game's balance & world, may be forbidden. It'll be discussed HP are cinematic. Depending from how much & what kind of damage a character receives, i'll adjust his condition Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) Artificer & Psion aren't allowed I'll describe locations & looks with little to no detail Just like with the books, i'd prefer that every player imagined their own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore) About forbidden spells As an example, this is only level 1 Wizard, but i hope you get an idea Mending Charm Person Detect Magic Detect Poison and Disease Friends Unseen Servant Tasha's Hideous Laughter Sudden Awakening Sleep Sense Emotion Puppet Identify Id Insinuation Healing Elixir Disguise Self Comprehend Languages Cause Fear Ressurection & lethal spells Instead of using ability checks or in-game tools (acquiring unique items, talking to people, searching for clues, improvise), a player casts a spell that speedruns a campaign But a player can prepare all other spells A tystling is similar to a cat Monochrome darkvision Enhanced senses: smell, hearing, vision, touch & balance (+3 Dexterity, Perception, Acrobatics) Soft step: walking is almost noiseless (unless a tystling has something noisy on), running is slightly quieter comparing to other races (+4 Stealth) A tystling is shorter than an elf, but taller than a dwarf A tystling is slim like an elf, but lighter than an elf, with smaller muscles. That makes a tystling even more agile & dexterous than an elf, but it's very hard for a tystling to lift or carry medium heavy things (8 AC, -5 Strength, Athletics)

Blades in the Dark: The Red Dawn

About the Game Blades in the Dark is a tabletop roleplaying game about a crew of audacious scoundrels seeking their fortunes on the haunted streets of an industrial-fantasy city. There are no heroes here—you play as criminals, outcasts, and survivors navigating a grim metropolis trapped in eternal darkness, surrounded by restless ghosts and a corrupt regime. The game runs on the fast-paced, narrative-driven Forged in the Dark system. Instead of getting bogged down in endless math, it focuses on daring heists, flashbacks, creative problem-solving, and dealing with the messy consequences of your criminal lifestyle. About the Crew: "The Red Dawn" We are playing as The Red Dawn, a Bravos crew. While other gangs might stick to quiet burglaries or smuggling, your crew thrives on intimidation, violent enforcement, and direct action. However, you aren't just common thugs for hire—The Red Dawn are freedom fighters fighting the system. You are pushing back against the oppressive authorities, corrupt nobles, and ruthless factions tightening their grip on the city. Expect a gritty mix of high-stakes heists, bloody turf wars, and revolutionary defiance against a world that wants to keep you down. Campaign Status & Who We're Looking For Current Status: We have already played a couple of sessions, so the group dynamics are forming, and the world is starting to react to our crew's actions. New Players Welcome: Don't worry if you missed the very beginning! It is very easy to jump right into an ongoing Blades in the Dark campaign. Whether your character is an existing ally breaking out of prison, a fierce new muscle brought into the fold, or a specialist looking to join the cause, we will weave you seamlessly into the narrative. Vibe: Collaborative, cinematic, character-driven, and focused on having fun together while our scoundrels bite off way more than they can chew. Interested? If you want to spark a revolution with a sharp blade and a stubborn streak, leave a comment below or send me a message telling me a bit about your TTRPG experience and what kind of scoundrel you'd love to play!

[GMT+1] OSE Classic Fantasy: B5 Horror on the Hill

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Game: OSE Classic Fantasy Day: Mondays Time: 6.30 PM - 9.30 PM (GMT+1) Frequency: Weekly Location: Roll20 + Discord (voice) I'm running an OSE Classic Fantasy campaign on Mondays, 18:30 to 21:30 (GMT+1). We have four players, but not everyone can make it every week. As such, we're looking for one or two more to join us so we can play more regularly. Both new and experienced players are welcome. We've had 28 sessions so far. Currently, the party is made up of characters ranging from 1st to 3rd level. Players often control multiple characters each session, although this is not a requirement. If you decide to join, you can roll up your own character or take control of a pre-existing one. Adventures take place around Guido's Fort, an isolated frontier settlement in a far-west region. We've been playing through B5 Horror on the Hill, although the party is presently involved in unrelated affairs. I've included homebrew content in the surrounding area, so the module is by no means the sole focus of the campaign. You can expect your typical classic-fantasy fare: exploring dungeons, fighting humanoids, contending with traps, and (hopefully) finding treasure. We don't do a lot of roleplaying, nor is there much focus on character development. Much of the conversation during sessions is out-of-character, although interactions with monsters and NPCs are often in-character. We've just switched from Owlbear Rodeo to Roll20, so there may be a short adjustment period while I get used to it. We use tokens and combat is grid-based. Sometimes the players draw the map, other times I'll draw it for them. Here is a non-exhaustive list of house rules: - Ascending AC - Combat Talents for Fighters - D6 Thief Skills - No Clerics of Neutral alignment - Chaotic Clerics have a variant turning ability (Pacify/Enthral) - 10-slot inventory (inspired by Cairn) If you have any questions or would like to join, please get in touch.

Seeking Players for All-PoC OSE Group

[Aurora/East Denver] Experience: Total beginners are absolutely welcome! I am happy to teach the rules. I am looking to start a brand-new, weekly or bi-weekly Old School Essentials (OSE) campaign and I need 3 players to help me build an all-PoC founding group from the ground up! What is OSE? It’s a "classic fantasy" system based on the original 1980s B/X rules. It’s fast-paced, high-stakes, and focused on exploration and clever problem-solving rather than just complex math. Who am I looking for? Demographic: Specifically looking for PoC players to create a dedicated safe-space tabletop environment. The Vibe: Creative, inclusive, and atmospheric dungeon crawling.  The Logistics: Location: Public meetups at shops like Crit Castle Games or All C's Gaming Arena in Aurora. Schedule: To be finalized by the group (aiming for weekend afternoons or weekday evenings). Safety: We will use a robust Safety & Consent policy (Lines/Veils and/or Monte Cook Consent Form) to ensure everyone has a great time.  Interested? Drop a comment below or send me a DM with a little bit about your TTRPG experience (or lack thereof—it's okay!) and what kind of characters you like to play.

Roads of Dolmenwood

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello! As a long-time CoC/Spire/Heart GM who's recently gotten into the OSR scene by way of Shadowdark, join me as I learn to run Dolmenwood! 5 of us will run a session 0, and a ~15 session mini-campaign starting from Level 1. We'll play biweekly by way of Discord and Fantasy Grounds. This is a free-to-play, beginner-friendly game, and we're looking for 1-2 more players. I want to run a player-driven game, where the plot beats primarily come from your character motivations that push you to explore the wild places, unravel the secrets of deep magic, and perhaps journey along fairy-roads. The game will lean towards a LOtR Two-Towers vibe, with touches of The Wicker Man (1973) and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Our game will focus on organic exploration through hexcrawl and faction interplay, as the secrets of the world and long-held grudges unfold around the players. Session 0 will hopefully be Monday, Mar 16th, 17:00 to 21:00 GMT (12:00-4:00 PM EST). Send me a DM to discuss! What's Dolmenwood? A fantasy setting steeped in folklore and fae, built around the Old School Essentials rules, blending the dark and whimsical, the wonderous and weird. Dolmenwood is a system and a setting, both of which tend toward strong character relationships with the world, and the holy, arcane, or fae magics that pervade the layered histories there. - The setting blends inspiration from Tolkien, Dunsany, Machen, folk-horror, and political intrigue of lords and ladies in high-courts. - Play as proud, goat-headed Breggle, a starry-eyed elf stepped straight from Fairy, a tricksome grimalkin cat-fairy, a worldly or hapless human, a fungus-riddled Mossling, or a capricious, bat-faced Woodgrue. - Choose from nine classes: the charming bard, ardent cleric, willful enchanter, dashing fighter, jolly friar, stealthy hunter, haughty knight, enigmatic magician, or wily thief. - Dolmenwood offers us classic dungeon crawls powered by random encounters and flavorful puzzles, and if we progress, engaging hexcrawling and settlements. Table Expectations I love roleplay focused games, where character relationships unfold between PCs, NPCs, and the environment. For me, the roleplay environment works best when everyone has some commitment to the theme and tone. There's always room for above the table jokes and conversation, but I hope you'll feel comfortable embodying your character during gameplay as the story progresses. The OSE system has many rule differences from games I and many players are used to, and as such, players need to be gracious as we all learn the system. Our table will be best suited for players interested in telling stories built on strong character motivation and a genuine curiosity about the setting of Dolmenwood as presented through gameplay. We will be an adult table, respectful, jovial, and LGBTQ+ friendly.

Danger in the Delta-A Sandbox Campaign

Starting Sunday February 1st, we’ll be playing from 5pm until 9pm, Eastern Timezone, biweekly. That first session is going to be a “Session Zero” during which we’ll make characters, talk over the rules, and discuss the setting. We will be using the OSE advanced rules (not race as class, no THAC0), and including most of the Carcass Crawler zine stuff as well. The setting is a swampy province called the Delta and is mostly a typical fantasy setting. It’ll be a sandbox with multiple, smaller dungeons to explore. I’ve only ran the game a time or two so be patient with me. That in mind, players with no experience, or just experience with modern systems are very welcome. We have two confirmed players and a Referee (that’s me!). We have threemore spots available currently. We’ll be using discord for voice and dice rolls. We won’t be using a vtt as I’ll be drawing the dungeon maps as we go. We’ll be using shared Google Sheets to make, edit and share character sheets and other campaign resources.
