Cyberpunk: Red

I'll start that I'm 15, so I'm looking for other teens, so with that said, I've been GMing TTRPGs for around 3 years now, playing for 4, mostly D&D. I'm new to Cyberpunk: Red, though, and am excited to run something! My GMing style is very action packed, many high-octane setpieces and fun characters. I pride myself on my characters, in fact. Most NPCs have unique voices, and are fleshed out without feeling overbearing. My players love my villains, who I think I make unique and menacing and pretty cool. I make my own worlds, as well, so don't expect Night City. I'm thinking Las Vegas for this campaign. If you like roleplay and story, I enable that. I don't welcome NSFW unless its like, gory, or something for flavor in the world. Basically, no sex scenes or anything, but mature themes regardless. If you have any qualms about certain topics, just tell me and I can exclude them no problemo. If you are interested, contact me!

Online/Offline Game for NY Metro Area

Hello! I wanted to check interest on starting a DnD game. Please read the whole post to make sure this idea is up your alley.  A little bit about me: 30M, long time DnD player who has dabbled in DMing 6 or so years ago. Had a lot of fun, but had to stop because of an injury.  Im looking for players who live in the NY metro area. If you can get to NYC within about an hour and a little change, awesome! I prefer people closer to myself in age so 25-45 is ideal, but not a dealbreaker. I’m most interested in group cohesion and chemistry.  Eventually, I want to do a game that is online most of the time for everyone’s ease, but maybe meet up once a month for in person sessions. Generally, I’d like to do online sessions around 6/7-10pm on Sundays, and in person sessions we can schedule times and places as needed. The first couple months will be online as we gain steam.  Probably would look to start some time in January if there’s enough interest.  For themes of the campaign, think a throwback to classic d&d: explorations, dungeons, and frequent combat, while also building a setting with rich evolving story and RP potential to get everyone involved.  A couple things I’d like to mention: For simplicity sake, I want to keep things to the main players handbook, xanathars and mordenkainen (I am probably forgetting a book or two but you get the idea).  Do not premake a character. We will go through that process when the time comes with stat rolls/buy ins.  Do not be a jerk. I want an environment where everyone is comfortable, so no tolerance for racism, homophobia, or anything of the sort.  If there’s any interest, comment or send me a DM! This is a cross post from my Reddit post so sorry if the format or content is slightly irregular for this site.

Daggerheart Witherwild Campaign

Hi! My name is Kenny and I'm looking for 2 more players in New York City to commit to a medium term (1ish year) Daggerheart campaign set in the Witherwild campaign frame (for fun, not to be recorded). It will be a learning experience for myself, as I've not played Daggerheart yet, so no experience required - we're all gonna learn! Loosely following my style of GMing, I'm looking for players who are seeking a serious toned table that focuses on dramatic narratives, and is hungry for a table that encourages immersion! LGBTQAI+, BIPOC, and/or femme players highly welcome! The Game Master My name is Kenny Mai, and I am a professional game master and the creator of Fables of Frost & Fur, an award-winning actual play podcast. Feel free to check here for a quick vibe check: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNOyLzs259rqSpls2Ox3qCfz4aN0kMfw2 . In the TTRPG community, I am known for pushing TTRPGs as a storytelling format, blending my experience in theater and writing to create immersive experiences at the table. In real life, I'm just a Viet-American crazy cat man who likes horror movies with his wife. The Pitch I'm looking for 2 players who are willing to join this table in learning Daggerheart, a narrative-focused TTRPG. In that spirit, the campaign will not only be a homebrewed, but bespoke to the PCs that you and your fellow players create. Here is a copy and pasted pitch of the world you'd be inhabiting, from the core rulebook itself: Fanewick was once a place of great abundance and peace— dangerous to those unfamiliar with the land, but a cornucopia to those who respected its ways. When Haven invaded the wilds and forced the land into eternal spring, a dangerous bloom known as the Witherwild took hold and now threatens the lives of all who live there. In a Witherwild campaign, you’ll play unlikely heroes from humble beginnings who are reckoning with their newfound duty to save Fanewick’s people from dangerous corruption. Tone & Feel The table is hoping to explore the mechanics unique to Daggerheart and push how they influence storytelling. To that end, this table will be serious about immersion and roleplaying. Not that there won't be laughs! Fun, lighthearted moments will be mirrored by players and their PCs, but feel earned by the story being told. Themes The premise of the Witherwild revolves around two primary cultures, clashing against the backdrop of immeasurable tragedy. We will touch on themes of colonization, survival, and the lengths one goes to save their loved ones. But it won't be a grimdark world! There will be plenty of room for hope, forgiveness, and heroism. Logistics We are aiming for: Weekly sessions 2.5-3 hour target session lengths Friday evening - Sunday evening flexibility Location: an apartment building in Long Island City (Court Square subway stops). We have a lovely bookable conference room in our amenities floor that has a nice, big table and a big TV that I'm 73% confident I can get to work. While we are not in-session, we will communicate primarily over Discord. Safety & Expectations Safety and planning tools for the campaign include but are not limited to: Lines and Veils X-cards Stars and Wishes Players will be expected to respect each other and the GM. This includes, but is not limited to: being kind, observing the right pronouns, not talking over people, and assuming good intentions. Next Steps Please fill out this Google form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScM-ug0ZrXtLyBa_Sjj00GXc8TTnZ92O0AHhBlK_4DP1VSY-A/viewform?usp=dialog, which requires a Discord handle. Please do not be intimated by any questions! I am just genuinely curious about the folks who are interested! I will reach out over Discord, then schedule a video call for initial vibe checks, then schedule meeting in a public place for in-person vibe checks. Thanks for making it to the end of this lengthy post! Looking forward to hearing from you all!

Looking to get a table together of players for a campaign. I'm willing to DM if needed, but would prefer to be a player for a change.  Haven't been able to have a real campaign since my kids were born, but I finally have consistent free time on weekends, just having trouble finding an in person group.

NYC DND filmed series

Looking for people to join a party that will play at my midtown Manhattan studio. We will film this for online distribution, perhaps livestream. I have all the equipment but need a DM and people to join the party. People with a flair for dramatic to set design would be fun too. Also will probably leave one chair empty each week to get a semi famous person to join the party, so we need to be patient with someone who probably doesn’t know how to play. No money involved but if we find ourselves in an opportunity to make money, we will split it fairly. Happy to discuss paperwork prior to going to far. In person only please.

The storyteller Morally grey
A fascinating, extremely handsome, wonderful man with the body of a marble statue.  I am not a greasy nerd who smells like old pizza.  I am clean and very organized. I do not inspire chaos in others and trap fellow players in inescapable situations they put themselves in.  As a GM, my games are predictable and consistent.  I never write myself into a corner and certainly never panic when called out (because it never happens).  I do not use voices, props or wear silly hats. I am a serious, professional gamer and absolutely NOT a trainwreck both in-game and in real life.

Hello my name is Dan I have been an on and off player since 3.5E I have played also Pathfinder 1E. So I would guess I am an Old/New player since I am a bit rusty. I am looking to get back into playing and am open to many things. I have a preference for both Roleplay and Combat since both are important for character development and I am okay with characters dying as long as there is a point within reason. I am open to DMing at a later point possibly but would like to be a player currently since I have an idea for a fighter/wizard multiclass character that I want to play at the moment.I am currently located in New York so I am on EST but my schedule is flexible to a point. If you would like to know more please feel free to reach out.

Hey! I'm Josh, gay, 36, and I recently moved to NYC. I've played D&D a little bit before, but I'm still very much a newer player. I know the basics, but will have questions regarding some nuanced rules.  I'm looking for a group that's cool with that and doesn't take things too seriously. I'm really drawn to the storytelling side of D&D. I love getting invested in characters, mysteries, weird worlds, plot twists, darker stories, and seeing where everything goes. I'm a huge horror and sci-fi fan, and generally love anything that's a little strange, creepy, funny, or completely unhinged. I'm also into fantasy, video games, board games, movies and TV! I'm pretty easygoing when it comes to the actual campaign. I'm happy to learn, try different character types, and work with the DM and the rest of the group rather than showing up with some elaborate character that absolutely has to fit into the campaign. I'm also not particularly interested in min/maxing or trying to "win". I mostly want to make a character and see what happens to them. Outside of D&D, I work in fashion/tech and spend a lot of my free time gaming, watching horror movies, going to the movies, checking out bars/restaurants, playing board games, or finding some new show to get obsessed with. I'm open to online or in-person games. For in-person I'm in Manhattan, but I don't mind traveling within NYC. I'd especially love to find a recurring group where everyone gets along and eventually becomes the kind of group that might grab drinks, play other games, see a movie, etc. outside of D&D too.

I am Yun! Freshly turned 16 and want to get into DnD more officially, I've been doing roleplaying and dice rolling but I haven't actually played while knowing what I was doing. I am very willing to learn though! I am queer and go by all pronouns. I am pretty flexible when it comes to systems and the likes, but I do enjoy a good roleplay heavy game rather than a combat focused one. I have a flexible schedule as well, primarily afternoon and night. Genres I enjoy are Cyberpunk, Sci-fi, Fantasy, Horror and more but those are the main ones. Modern games are also really enjoyable to me! Like games set in urban architecture or even brutalist concrete jungles.

Max Granitz
Hey, Max G. here coming to you live from Brooklyn. Queer demiboi based in NYC looking to roll dice and cast spells with chill LGBTQ+ folks. Been playing 5e for about 4 years, with my longest campaign having gone up to level 16. Lean heavily into RP, love exploring a setting, seeking out lore. Pretty much exclusively play spellcasters (bards, warlocks, wizards). Would also be down to try a new system... Cyberpunk RED, Pokémon, and/or VtM. Please don't message me if you use AI at all in your games, I won't respond. Prefer playing online but I'm open to IRL games in NYC. Theatre of the mind > VTT and I'll die on that hill. Usually available weekday evenings around 7 and all day Sunday. Outside of D&D, I can usually be found at some sort of performance (most likely a musical)... my current obsession is the stage adaptation of "The Lost Boys".

Tabletop gaming in New York

New York has one of the densest tabletop scenes in the country - with millions of people packed into five boroughs, there’s a game happening somewhere almost every night of the week. You’ll find long-running campaigns in game stores, board game cafés and bars, along with plenty of groups playing in living rooms and apartment kitchens.

D&D is the easiest table to find, but the city’s size means niche systems have an audience too. Indie games, horror, Pathfinder and narrative-focused systems all have local groups, and many stores run drop-in nights where you can show up without a character or any prior experience. The table will walk you through it.

The East Coast convention circuit is close by as well - PAX Unplugged in Philadelphia is a short train ride away.
