English
A portable, offline-first DM and worldbuilding tool. Build worlds, run sessions, share with others and play together, all in one app. License: CC BY-NC 4.0 · Free to use Everything core works **without an account**. Each era keeps its own map, pins, nested location maps and day-by-day timeline pins linked to cards and sessions. You can show the same city before the war and after it. - Templates & Packages: Every world is built on a template (D&D 5e is built in) and pulls content from packages. A package is a bundle of cards you can install into any world, link to other packages, or share on the marketplace. Custom templates are coming. - Codex: Schema-driven cards for NPCs, monsters, spells, items, locations and more. Every reference is a tappable link. Pin cards to the top, preview any card with a long press, and search by name, tag, category or text. - World Map: Pins, grid and scale, drawing, fog of war, and nested maps you can walk into (districts, dungeons, taverns). - Mind Map: An infinite canvas with linked nodes, workspaces, freehand drawing and undo/redo. /images/general-media/1791564252_TB7zwrCp.webp Running the Session - Second Screen: Give the table its own view. Pop out a window onto a second monitor, cast to a TV or projector, or project into every connected player's app. You choose how battle maps, images, cards and PDFs go out. Fog of war and hidden tokens stay hidden. - Battle Map: The session screen *is* the map, with the encounter panel and event log on top. It has layers, fog of war, AoE templates, 5e diagonal rules, creature-sized tokens, shapes and text, a DM-only layer, hidden tokens, movement trails for the round, and two maps joined into one. - Combat Tracker: Initiative, HP (with hit-dice rolls), conditions, turn order and an event log. - 3D Dice: Dice roll across the screen with named styles. Skills and saving throws roll from the character sheet with one tap. - Soundpad: Layered ambience with gapless loops, fades and ready-made soundpacks. - PDF Library: PDFs kept inside the world, opened in tabs and shareable with players. /images/general-media/1791564292_BnuuXJTS.webp Characters - Full 5e rules: Species, class, subclass, background and feats fold into one sheet. Each sense, resistance, proficiency, trait and always-prepared spell shows where it came from. ASIs, feats, subclass and spell picks wait as pending choices. /images/general-media/1791564330_JBRRDNZ4.webp Playing Online - Online worlds: Put a world, package or character online and it stays the same on every device you sign in on. GM Console
Tools & Platforms

GM Console

English
Dungeons & Dragons
GM Console is a browser-based campaign and combat companion for D&D-style tabletop roleplaying groups. It brings the party roster, character information, and encounter tracking into a shared space, with live updates for connected players. It is designed for game masters and players who want practical session tools while continuing to use their own dice, maps, and notes. Game masters create a campaign and invite friends with a code. Players can select an existing character or create a new one, keeping attributes, available abilities, and resources together. Groups can also include guest players by name, so someone using a paper character sheet can participate without creating an account or opening the app. For encounters, the GM can arrange seats to match the physical table, collect initiative results, add enemies, and advance through the turn order. Players see whose turn it is and when they are coming up next. Hit points, damage, healing, and conditions can be tracked during combat, while players manage their own character resources and see updates on their screens. GM Console works well for mixed setups, such as a GM on a laptop, players checking characters on phones, and guests using paper sheets. Its included character setup provides a D&D-style level-one foundation. The group supplies the rules knowledge and makes decisions during play; complete spell lists, equipment management, and automated character advancement are not currently included.

Saga20

Saga20

Dungeons & Dragons
Worldbuilding
Saga20 is the campaign tool that keeps up with your table. It is a full world builder, a campaign wiki, a session summarizer, a character sheet system and a shared player portal, and all of it runs off one action: hit record. Play the session, upload the audio, and Saga20 works out who spoke, writes the recap, and pushes what happened into every world page it touched. Characters, locations, factions and items each keep their own page, their own timeline, and a link back to the session where it happened. Most world builders need you to update them. This one updates itself. It works for every TTRPG system, from D&D across all editions to Pathfinder 1e and 2e, Call of Cthulhu, Cyberpunk RED and Vampire: The Masquerade, with character sheets built into the app. The app is quickly growing in popularity and is already being used and trusted by thousands of GMs. Description Every campaign wiki dies the same death. Immaculate for four sessions, then the group plays a long night, nobody writes it up, and a month later the wiki describes a campaign that no longer exists. Saga20 fixes that at the source. The session is the input, and the world updates because you played, not because you did homework afterwards. Underneath the automation is a proper world builder. Characters, NPCs, locations, factions, items, deities, starships, corporations, clues, house rules: anything in the campaign gets a real page, with rich text, images, custom icons and cover art, organized into folders and templates and custom entity types for whatever the world needs. Search reaches every page instantly. A campaign graph draws who knows whom. Interactive maps carry routes, regions, pins and the party's current position. Build it all by hand if that is the fun part, or you can import an existing world across from Obsidian, Notion, Google Docs or World Anvil and carry on from there. You can then upload session recordings to automatically update your world wiki. Anyone at the table can record, on a phone, a dedicated mic, Discord or Zoom, and nobody else has to install anything. Saga20 generates the Session Notes including choices, clues, quests and consequences that happened during the session then automatically updates the world pages so you'll always have an up to date wiki without having to spend hours after every session.  It is not only the GM's tool but a tool for the entire table. Players can read the campaign and session notes without an account, or choose to claim their own characters, keep their character sheets on the same page as the story, and arrive at the next session actually remembering the last one. The wiki can be themed to match the setting and published on its own link. Prep, play, notes and the whole table, in one place.

RollCamp

RollCamp

Virtual tabletop (VTT)
English
RollCamp is a free, browser-based platform built only for D&D 5e (2024): character sheets that do the math, the SRD rules in an illustrated compendium, and a live table with maps, 3D dice and webcams, all in one place. There’s nothing to install, no paid plan, and no marketplace to buy into before you can play. Description Most virtual tabletops support every system, so the character sheet ends up being a form you fill in yourself. RollCamp does one game, and that’s the point: its 2024 rules engine knows what your class, species, background and feats give you, and recalculates armor class, hit points, saves, attacks and spell slots with every choice. Players build characters with a guided creator, Game Masters prepare campaigns and run sessions, and everyone meets at the same table in the browser. The table needs a desktop browser; sheets and the compendium work on phones too.

LoreMonkey
Tools & Platforms

LoreMonkey

English
Dungeons & Dragons
LoreMonkey is a Windows app that records and transcribes D&D and other tabletop RPG sessions on your own PC. Connect the Discord desktop app and every line is labelled with the character who said it. No bot joins the call and no audio leaves your computer. For in-person games you can record the room with a microphone instead. After each game it writes a recap in your group's own style.  During play it offers short, well-timed prompts drawn from your campaign notes. It also keeps a compendium of your party, NPCs, places, factions and open threads. Ask LoreMonkey answers campaign questions between sessions and cites the sessions each answer came from. Recording and transcription are free and unlimited, it works for both players and GMs, and it supports any game system. Pricing The free tier is free forever. It includes unlimited recording, transcription and speaker labels for one campaign, plus a trial of the AI features (live prompts and recaps). Paid plans are monthly: Lite is $9.99 for one campaign, Standard is $19.99 for unlimited campaigns and adds Ask LoreMonkey, and Pro is $39.99 for several weekly tables. Notes Only one person at the table needs to install it. Speaker labels come from the Discord desktop app, so no bot joins the call. Audio and transcripts stay on the user's PC, and only the AI features send text out. It works with any game system and has separate Player and GM modes.

Inkroll
Tools & Platforms

Inkroll

English
French
Inkroll is a web platform for playing tabletop RPGs play-by-post: asynchronously, in written posts, on each player's own schedule, with a human gamemaster running the table. It sits between heavyweight real-time VTTs and plain forum software; the writing stays the point, but the platform actually understands characters, dice, secrets, and the GM's role instead of leaving them on the side. It is also, deliberately, a beautiful place to spend a campaign. Inkroll was built by play-by-post players who wanted the game to read as well as it plays: a calm, candlelit page of ink and parchment where posts get the space of a book, quoted speech and images are cleanly styled, and every table can choose the look and post layout that suit its story. The tools stay out of the way until the moment a hand reaches for them, so a session feels like reading and writing a novel with friends, not operating software. Dice are typed straight into a post, like {Perception:1d20+2}, rolled once on the server the moment the post is published, then frozen, with a per-post audit the whole table can see, so a result can never be edited or quietly re-rolled. Players post as their characters, with portraits, versioned character sheets, and quick stat updates (hit points, spell slots, conditions) committed together with the post. GMs get sealed passages delivered to exactly the players they choose, chapters, scene notes with a world map and a per-chapter battle map, and live updates with typing indicators and read markers, so an asynchronous table still feels alive. Long campaigns are first-class citizens: the Chronicle keeps a running recap of every chapter and every character met, and answers questions from the campaign's own posts, so a returning player or a newcomer catches up in minutes. And because a campaign written like a book deserves to become one, a finished game can be exported as a designed, print-ready PDF or EPUB. Games already in progress can be imported from Myth-Weavers or Discord with posts, characters, images, and dice results intact. Ready-made sheets cover D&D Fifth Edition, Pathfinder 2e, Call of Cthulhu, Shadowrun, Cortex Prime, and Grimwild, plus a system-agnostic option and a builder for custom rulesets with their own dice mechanics. New systems are also gladly added upon request.

DiceCalc
Tools & Platforms

DiceCalc

English
Spanish
DiceCalc is a TTRPG dice managmeent system for players and GMs. Here's what it does: Roll all of a character's dice simultaneously — see every attack, save, skill, and modifier roll all at once via the Roll All mode with character tabs. Still reroll per macro — long-press any single roll to edit or reroll just that macro without rerolling the rest, even in Roll All mode. In-depth macro inspection — Roll Macro mode focuses on macro options, allowing players to inspect rolls, rename, edit, and sort the macro list. Sort order here is also preserved in Roll All mode. Cryptographically secure random number generation — higher unpredictability, more randomer. Sortable character tabs with up to 100 macros each — whether you're running or playing a campaign, organize by character, encounter, monster, game system, or any other way you like. Every major TTRPG dice mechanic in one app — keep high/low, target numbers (successes), botches, exploding dice, crit detection, multi-roll comma separation for staged (verification) rolls, and yes... push dice! Constraint validation with red-highlighted error feedback — pathological expressions are caught before they run, no infinite loops or broken math. Persistent 300-roll history with timestamps — every roll logged with full roll breakdown and no truncation. Tap-and-hold context menus throughout — edit, duplicate, delete, rename, reroll wherever it makes sense. Localized in 7 languages — English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Italian, Polish, with complete in-app manuals for each. 14-page in-app user manual — every feature documented with examples, no need to leave the app. Supports Android 8.0 and above — runs on devices going back a decade. Custom QWERTY keyboard for macro names — with locale-specific diacritics via long-press. Independent horizontal scroll per output row — nerd out inspecting long expressions, results, and roll details without truncation. Also... I'm giving it away for free till 09/31/2026 11:59:59 (JST). Check the promo section of the website for details. Honest reviews are appreciated.

Magehand
Tools & Platforms

Magehand

English
Dungeons & Dragons
Magehand makes DMing easy: it lets a Dungeon Master run their whole adventure from one page. Hover any monster, spell or item in the text for its full stat block or rules, pin the ones the fight needs beside the text, and start any encounter with one click. It's free, made by one DM for their own table, with no ads and no third-party tracking. The combat tracker knows the rules, not just the numbers. Magehand encodes the 2024 rules for every class feature, spell, condition and magic item, so the tracker plays them out: it rolls attacks against the right Armor Class and adds up damage with resistances, applies conditions and what they do (a hit on a Paralyzed creature within 5 feet is a Critical Hit), tracks concentration, spell slots, reactions and limited uses, and keeps hit points from one fight to the next. The DM runs the story; Magehand does the bookkeeping. DMs customize the adventure for their party right in the text: rewrite a scene, add notes, fights and comments, and read remixes inside the book itself, with their design notes where they apply. Between sessions, Magehand speeds up prep with fair fights by the 2024 Dungeon Master's Guide, homebrew monsters, a 2024 character builder (with D&D Beyond and Roll20 import), and handouts players open from a private link, no account needed. DMs who use an AI assistant like Claude can connect it to take bookkeeping off their plate. Magehand supports the 2024 and 2014 rules. DMs bring their own books: an adventure opens only after a quick check that they own it.
