Hey! I'm Tomb, a (technically) 6 year DND player (on and off and with a lot of "rule of cool" tables so not a veteran) looking for a game for Sunday Nights usually starting around 8 EST (though my schedule will probably open soon!) Im a storyteller at heart, with a big focus on worldbuilding, lore, and character driven narratives. I like getting into the depths of the worlds history and seeing what makes it tick while playing with harsh backstories that loom like shadows over the players, but I tend to shy away from GrimDark, I like some hope with my whump please! None of that means I don't like combat though, combat plays a really important part in a lot of stories and can be interesting in their own right! I do know a lot of the rules for DND 5e, I've been watching actual plays long enough to have picked up on the rules, but I prefer Homebrew over RAW and Rule of Cool over Rules Lawyering I'm a huge fan of actual plays, namely Campaign 2 of critical role, Dimension 20s Misfits and Magic, A Court of Fey and Flowers, and The Seven, a small one shot campaign called World's Apart, and the beginning half of Godsfall (before the cast imploded) Literature wise I'm an avid reader of high fantasy, Eragon being my favorite series, along with Harry Potter (fuck terfs), and a niche Midgrade series called Avalon: Web of Magic! TL;DR in the DMs Guide Player Types: Im an Explorer, a Problem Solver, and a Storyteller, but I'm more than willing to hit something along the way, i prefer Homebrew and Rule of Cool over RAW, and i want some found family/hope with my hard story beats! I hope to tell amazing stories together 💛

Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
CAMPAIGN FRAME: Beneath The Neon Sky Pitch: New Horizon City stands tall amongst the powers of the new world in its shining towers, luxury districts, and dense population. A place where outsiders and foreigners alike see prosperity and stability upon meeting its gaze. But beneath its surface lies an underworld ruled not by elected officials or some governing body, but by various gangs and criminal organizations. Ones whose influence touch every corner of the city. The wealthy and powerful have long intermingled their fortunes with organized crime and as a direct result, created a place where favors carry debt, where every street is claimed, and the citizens are caught in the struggle between rival factions vying for control. In a Beneath The Neon Sky campaign, you'll play street level people navigating the dangerous web of gang politics, criminal enterprises, and ever shifting alliances that shape daily life within the city. It doesn't matter if you're chasing money, power, revenge, or just trying to survive another day. You'll quickly learn that the city has two important lessons. There are no heroes. And every choice can be your last. The Good, the Bad and the Enormous!

Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
Platform: Discord (Voice) + HeartofDaggers (character sheets) + Foundry VTT (maps and battle maps) Players: 4–5 | Level 2 characters, created together before we start The Setup The Drylands are frontier country. Prospectors and mages dig Essentia out of these hard hills, and everyone is trying to carve off a piece of it before somebody else does. You have been out on the flats for months. Whatever the job was, it is done and the pay is in your pocket. Now you are riding back into Miquera, the little town in the Caradondo mountain pass. One main street, a saloon, a general store, an old stone church. You can see the smoke long before you reach it. The ground is shaking. Stones are coming down off the peaks. The church spire is leaning, the saloon is burning, and people you have known your whole life are running in the street with buckets that are not going to be enough. Old Jess out by the claim always said the veins were the bones of something sleeping. She said the old gods left their titans in the ground, and that men who dig deep enough will one day dig too deep. Nobody ever paid her much mind. They will now. Expectations & Requirements Player Knowledge: You should have a general understanding of how the basic Daggerheart rules work. We'll build characters together on HeartofDaggers before we start, so no prep needed on your end. Tech Requirements: A working headset and a decent microphone are required for clean audio on Discord. Tone: A frontier western where the ground itself turns against the town. Gameplay: Rescue, investigation, tough choices, and a finale that will test the whole party.

In an Age of Umbra campaign, you’ll play heroic survivors who protect their community from the terrors beyond their walls, venture out into the unknown to hunt the nightmares that twist and grow with each fallen soul, seek answers to the curses that corrupt this world, and perhaps even discover a way to change its fate. On a player profile - you are looking for free games and are not interested in paid ones.
I'm an experienced GM (though it is my first time running this version of Gumshoe) looking for two to four players for a game of Nights Black Agents. You'd be joining two longstanding friends of mine in an online game that found several of its usual suspects having less play time than they used to. Expect the usual mix of seriousness and comedy you'd find in any in-person tabletop game, except you're spies hunting vampires instead of delving a dungeon and/or taking quests. This is a free game.

🏝️Welcome to Obojima!🏝️

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Hello, I am Chris and trying to make some extra cash on the side to aid with some financial struggles, that being said- Thank you for reading and I hope to see you in Obojima- My new game about "leisure" fantasy where the players are wandering around a bright, colorful world- with mysterious and deep, emotion challenges in their journey! The cost of this game will be $12 / Month, or $3 / Session - With the First Session Free! 🍵 About the Game🍵 Welcome to 🏝️Obojima🏝️ a vibrant island overflowing with ancient spirits, cozy coastal towns, and forgotten ruins. Deeply inspired by Dungeon Meshi, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, and the wondrous worlds of Studio Ghibli, this game focuses on cozy, character-driven adventure. We’ll focus on local mysteries, Japanese folklore-inspired myths, foraging for potion ingredients, and cooking meals around the campfire as your party builds closer bonds along the way. If you enjoy (or want to practice) deep role-play, meaningful character moments, and exploring a living world where the journey matters just as much as the destination, this table is for you. Encounters are treated more like puzzles to solve rather than brutal fights to the death, magic feels lived-in, and the stakes are deeply personal. Grab your gear, bring a good appetite, and let’s tell a great story together!  🎲 What I Offer as a DM     6+ years of DMing experience across multiple TTRPG systems.     Full willingness to teach the system and TTRPGs in general no prior experience needed!     LGBTQIA+ friendly space with a dedicated Session 0 to establish safety tools and expectations. 📋 Requirements & How to Join     18+     Discord account (for audio/text) & Google account (for character sheets)     Press that Contact Me button, or send me a friend request and DM on Discord Expressing your Interest!

The Wyrd of the West

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
Hi there. I’m based in the UK and potentially wanting to get a game started in either Daggerheart or DnD 5E (2014) to take place on Saturday evenings. Currently, I can’t lock in the exact schedule, but I’m thinking of it being for two consecutive Saturdays, followed by two Saturdays off each month. The time would likely be around 6-10PM UK time. A big part of this is me wanting to expand my social circle and to make some good friendships that aren’t just limited to time spent in TTRPGs. For the game itself, I’m leaning towards Daggerheart as something a bit more Rule of Cool-oriented, but this would be my first time with it. If people are good with that, and either new to the system themselves or patient for me to get fully to grips with running it, then we’ll lock that in. I’m very experienced with 5e 2014, but want to expand my repertoire a bit. The setting is a big mix of genres, but primarily Wild West with a lot of spooky and fantastical weirdness. I’d describe it as Weird West/ Gothic/ Horror/ Jazz Age/ Fantasy in a homebrew world. Characters may do things like uncover eldritch cults in the bayou, go on the trail of monsters out in the forests, and duel with undead gunslingers and the like. There are currently no big overarching plans such as a BBEG or end-goal, and I see the campaign being more about having fairly separate arcs and chapters that will have some links to each other, but that could all change based on player input. I want the players to tell me what sort of goals they want their characters to accomplish in the world. Although the setting doesn’t take itself too seriously, I want characters to be capable of being serious as well as being fun. Currently, I’d like the campaign to go for a few months, maybe about a year (which should take players from levels 1 to 10). What I’m looking for: - Enthusiastic and collaborative players, both with the party but also myself, letting me know what next big thing they want to do so I can properly put things in place to make it the best I can - Players interested in RP and creating a great story together where everyone has their moments to shine. I’m not looking for players who want to powergame or murderhobo, especially as the campaign would be broadly good-aligned - Players interested in the worldbuilding side of the hobby. I’m currently focusing on fleshing out the setting more than a grand overarching story, but I’d really like players to contribute to the setting - Reliable scheduling. I’m happy to occasionally run games with a couple of players missing, but mostly I’d like the whole party Once people are locked in to the campaign, we will have a proper session zero and go over safety tools. To clarify, there is no cost associated with this game. What you’ll need: Discord Mic and speakers for communication Roll 20 A Demiplane account (needed for Daggerheart)

How to find a Daggerheart game near you

Daggerheart is Darrington Press's fantasy RPG, built around a Hope and Fear dice pair that hands narrative control back and forth between the table and the GM.

  1. Set the area. Press "Use my location" for an exact reading, or type your city. Everything on this page reorders by travel distance.
  2. Widen the circle before you give up. Most people find their table in the nearest city rather than their own street, so try 150 mi before deciding the area is empty.
  3. Read the listing, then message inside Groupfinder. Your contact details stay yours until you decide to share them.
  4. Post that you are looking. Half the matches on this site run the other way round, with the game master finding the player.

Questions people ask

How do I find a Daggerheart group near me?

Share your location and the list reorders by distance. Daggerheart is young, so widen the radius further than you would for D&D and consider the online tables too.

Do I need to have played an RPG before?

No. Daggerheart was designed with new players in mind - the character cards do most of the remembering for you, and the Hope and Fear roll tells everyone what happens next without a rules lookup.

What do I need to bring?

Two twelve sided dice and yourself. Most groups have spare dice and will lend you a character to start with.

Are there online Daggerheart games?

Yes. Because the local scene is still growing, online tables are often the fastest route into the system. They are listed further down this page.
