Description

System: Vaesen Platform: Foundry VTT + Discord (voice) Time: BST. Wednesday 19:00. "In dark forests, beyond the mountains, by black lakes in hidden groves. At your doorstep. In the shadows, something stirs. Strange beings. Twisted creatures, lurking at the edge of vision. Watching. Waiting. Unseen by most, but not by you. You see them for what they really are. Vaesen." Vaesen presents a 19th century dark Gothic setting steeped in Nordic folklore and the old myths of Scandinavia. The game mechanics utilise an adapted version of the awardwinning Year Zero Engine and the best thing to liken it to is Call of Cthulhu but with a folkloric twist. Hello! My name is Mshary and I am looking to run a one-shot of this system in order to see whether this is a system I and my players from a different campaign want to continue with. I'm looking for up to 3 players and this is open to everyone! New players are especially welcome since I am new to the system myself and so may stumble a touch at first.  I am planning on running the starter adventure from the book "The Haunting of Castle Gyllencreutz" and that comes with a couple of pregens can choose from unless they wish to make their own characters. This acts as something akin to a prologue for joining the "Society" so it'll give us a taste of what's to come. What you can expect What you can expect from me is an experienced GM who has run a several long-term campaigns and many more oneshots and shorter games. The one line that best describes me as a GM is that I’m relaxed, friendly, and here to make sure everyone has a great time. My games are all about good vibes, fun, and group chemistry. I have a bit of an “older brother” style. Guiding things, hyping players up, and making sure everyone feels comfortable jumping in and having their moment. No one gets left on the sidelines. I am consistent and punctual. If for whatever reason something comes up and a game must be postponed, I will let you all know far in advance and try my best to accommodate an alternative game time. Join my new campaign/ already play-tested*** Welcome to Oregon State University, 1995. Home of the Beavers, Hard study, Parties, late-night pizza… and the occasional creature stalking the dorm hallways at 3 a.m. At first the strange events seem isolated — a missing tutor, fresh food turning rotten overnight, an attack in the science block car park, and rumours of something moving through the forests at night. But the deeper you investigate, the clearer it becomes: Something ancient is stirring beneath Corvallis and whisper in the dark speak of a rising Cult. You didn’t ask to become monster hunters — but you have seen beyond the mortal veil that protects society’s mind. Someone has to uncover the truth before the town is swallowed by whatever is crawling out of the shadows. And right now, you’re the only ones who believe the danger is real. The truth is out there-if you are brave enough to find it. What to Expect in This Game In this campaign, you will play students or faculty uncovering supernatural mysteries around **Oregon State University and the surrounding town of Corvallis. Each mystery will lead you deeper into a hidden world of strange events, forgotten folklore, and supernatural forces that most people refuse to believe exist. Players will: • Investigate strange disappearances and unexplained events • Explore eerie locations across campus and the surrounding forests • Interview witnesses and follow unsettling clues • Confront monsters and supernatural threats • Slowly uncover a much larger mystery hidden within the town Every investigation reveals another piece of the truth — and the deeper you dig, the more dangerous that truth becomes. A new in-person cinematic campaign using the ALIEN RPG system. If you like ALIEN, retro sci-fi or just want to try a new system then we would love to have you. Join the crew, Wayland-Yuntani offer great benefits. A survival horror style game in the ALIEN universe, following characters as they try to survive the machinations of mega-corporations, hostile alien life and each other. Mainly strung together scenarios from offical and community resources with a bit of homebrew to tie it all together.  The ALIEN ttrpg is a heavily stylised, cinematic ttrpg system focusing on atmosphere and story telling, focuisng on mechanics mainly when things get desperate. It aims to mimic the feel of the Alien movies. It offers a different style of play from other system that offers compelling beats with which to tell a tense and dramatic story at the table. The system can be has a higher chance of character death than something like D&D, much more similar to Call of Cthulhu, it is survival horror after all. We aim to create a fun, if spooky, storytelling game. This being said everyone should feel comfortable at the table. We will lay some ground rules for what people are ok with, and the GM does regular check in to make sure everyone is doing ok; and if a topic comes up that uncomforable it will immediatly be skipped. The aim to have fun first and foremost. Meeting new people can be a little daunting, so can new ttrpg systems, but we hope you will give it a try.  Exact Day and Location not yet decided, and will be dependent on player and availability.

This is a Changeling: The Lost 2nd Edition game set in San Francisco in the modern day. The time window is 11pm on Thursday night (UK time), so I believe that equates to 6pm EST. We're currently a GM (me) and two players, so ideally looking to get to 4 or 5 players to start. All three of us are some flavour of queer and so is the game. So needless to say, bigots should not apply :)
