Journey to Barovia, a domain of dread cut off from the outside world by walls of deadly fog. In this land of gothic horror, the shadows grow long and hope withers like autumn leaves. The people live in fear, their eyes downcast, their spirits broken. Towering above all is Castle Ravenloft, home to the land's master—the vampire lord Strahd von Zarovich. For centuries, she has ruled with an iron fist, her immortality a curse that has left hrt calculating, patient, and utterly without mercy. You are not here by accident. Drawn into Barovia by forces beyond your control, you quickly discover a terrible truth: the mists will not allow you to leave. Your only hope for escape lies in confronting the master of Castle Ravenloft himself. But Strahd is no ordinary foe. Ancient, cunning, and possessing powers beyond mortal comprehension, she watches your every move from the shadows. To her, you are either pawns in her eternal game or potential heirs to her cursed domain. Will you find the courage to face the darkness? Tyranny of Dragons (Rewritten)

Welcome to the Sword Coast! Enjoy your stay. Just ignore the dragons in the skies and those rumors about a growing cult. System: D&D 5e Campaign: Tyranny of Dragons - Heavily Customized Players: 4–5 Schedule: Wednesdays at 7:00 AM MT Price: $15 per player/session - Session 0 is FREE Session Length: ~3 hours Platforms: D&D Beyond, Roll20 & Discord Experience: New and experienced players are welcome! Who Is Your DM? Hello! My name is Sky. I’m 24 and have been playing Dungeons & Dragons for about 9 years, spending most of that time behind the screen as a Dungeon Master. My games lean heavily toward roleplay, character development, and cooperative narrative storytelling. To me, the characters are the heart of a tabletop RPG. A compelling overarching story matters, but the players and their characters are what make that story memorable. I primarily run homebrew campaigns, though I also enjoy taking published adventures and reshaping them around the party. I want your choices, successes, failures, and backstories to have an actual impact on where the campaign goes. The Campaign - Tyranny of Dragons The Cult of the Dragon is on the move. Settlements across the Sword Coast are being attacked, dragons have begun appearing with alarming frequency, and rumors are spreading of something much larger taking shape behind the scenes. You'll begin relatively small - a group of adventurers caught in the middle of a growing crisis - but the decisions you make may eventually determine the fate of the Sword Coast itself. I’ll be running a heavily customized version of Tyranny of Dragons. The original adventure has a reputation for being fairly linear, so I’ve made significant changes to give players more freedom and allow the story to respond naturally to their decisions and characters. Some elements of the original adventure remain intact, so I ask that players do not read the module ahead of time. Avoiding spoilers will make the experience better for everyone. Your Characters Matter Backstories are highly encouraged. I don't expect you to hand me a 20-page document. Give me enough to understand who your character is, what matters to them, what they fear, what they want, and what might pull them into an adventure. I actively use character backstories when planning the campaign. NPCs, enemies, allies, locations, and unresolved pieces of your character's past may become part of the larger story. Your character should generally fit within the Sword Coast/Forgotten Realms, but I'm flexible with established lore. If you've got an idea that doesn't perfectly fit, talk to me and we'll see what we can do. My only major character restriction is no space-themed or Spelljammer-style concepts, as they don't fit the tone I'm going for with this campaign. What Kind of Table Am I Looking For? I'm looking for 4-5 players who want to stick around and build a long-term campaign together. New players are absolutely welcome. You don't need to know every rule or have years of experience with D&D. Experienced players are just as welcome. What matters more to me is that you're willing to engage with the other players, participate in the story, respect everyone's boundaries, and give other characters their opportunity to shine. I want a table where everyone gets the chance to participate and where we're telling the story together rather than competing for the spotlight. Why Pay to Play? I put considerable preparation into my games outside of the actual session. That includes customized encounters, maps, character backstory integration, NPCs, story development, homebrew content, and adapting future sessions around what the players actually decide to do. I also regularly ask my players for feedback. If something isn't working, I want to know. If something is working, I want to know that too. Payment also helps create a consistent group. One of the biggest problems with long-running online campaigns is players constantly joining and leaving. That becomes especially difficult in a character-driven campaign where PCs are woven into the larger story. I'm looking to build a table that can stick together and tell a complete story. Session 0 Is Free Before anyone pays anything, we'll have a completely free Session 0. We'll use it to: Meet one another and make sure the group vibes well together Discuss expectations and house rules Establish boundaries Talk about the campaign and its tone Discuss character concepts Make sure this is actually the kind of D&D game you're looking for If you already have a character idea, bring it! I'm happy to work with you during Session 0 or over Discord afterward to make your character fit naturally into the campaign. What We'll Use D&D Beyond - Character creation, character sheets, sourcebook sharing, and homebrew content. Roll20 - Our virtual tabletop for maps, encounters, and visual aids. Discord - Voice chat and our main hub for communication between sessions. Interested? If you're looking for a character-driven, roleplay-focused campaign where your backstory and decisions can actually influence the adventure, send me a message. Tell me a little about yourself, including: Your name or what you'd like me to call you Your age Your experience with D&D/TTRPGs What you enjoy most about D&D What you're looking for in a campaign Any character ideas you already have (totally optional) Don't worry about writing me an application essay. I'm mostly looking to see whether we'd be a good fit at the same table. Welcome to the Sword Coast. Try not to get eaten by a dragon.

I'm running this game on StartPlaying: Here's the Link: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmqh35gz8000pla04qk1wixvp Eldritch Horror & Faction Intrigue The city of Drakkehneim lies in ruins. In this deadly metropolis, you’ll find riches, power, and glory… or possibly death. That happens a lot, too. TYPE Campaign SYSTEM Dungeons & Dragons 5e LEVELS 1–13 EXPERIENCE Open to all AGE 18+ When the meteor fell, everything changed. The city of Drakkenheim, capital of the great nation of Westemar, was shattered by the impact. Yet that was just the beginning. The uncontrolled magic that seeped from this fallen stone generates twisted horrors and spreads chaos in the fallen city. Can this plague of mutations and monsters be contained? Could the power of the meteor be turned to benevolent purposes? Can anyone bring together the fiercely divided factions of Drakkenheim? It will take some pretty bold (or perhaps insane) adventurers to find out. Dungeons of Drakkenheim is an adventure that lives at the intersection between H.P. Lovecraft and George R. R. Martin. Equal parts eldritch horror and political intrigue, this setting offers a unique take on D&D lore where magic is met with suspicion, the gods are distant and silent, and your choices have long-term consequences. It’s perfect for players who like both their combat and moral choices to be challenging. If you’re looking for a long-form campaign in which your characters will grow from humble novices into mighty champions, pursue unique personal quests, and face dangers the likes of which you’ve never seen, then the city of Drakkenheim is waiting for you. WHAT TO EXPECT • An Adventure from Levels 1 to 13+: What doesn’t kill you will make you stronger on this sweeping, long-form quest. • Setting-Specific Classes, Subclasses, and Feats: Each major class in 5e gets at least one new subclass you can choose. Or you can try out the Apothecary, an INT-based occultist who exploits forbidden knowledge. • Compelling Story-First Play: Step into an epic tale of mystery, drama, and escalating stakes. As you explore the haunted city, dark secrets and startling revelations tell a vast and majestic story. • Personal Quests: Your PC’s background and history lead to a unique personal mission that will be instrumental in the overarching plot. • Vast Sandbox: Explore Drakkenheim the way you want to. Your actions drive the unfolding plot in this non-linear adventure. • A Living World: Experience a coherent, brilliantly conceived setting with deep lore. You’ll meet distinctive NPCs with their own personalities, motives, and stories that bring this world to life. • Unique Adversaries: The setting pits you against unknown horrors twisted by magical contamination… and your GM loves to homebrew monsters, too! • Political Intrigue: Five factions compete for dominance in the city, each with their own agenda. You’ll need to decide who you trust and who you oppose in the ever-shifting political landscape. • Many Surprises: Even if you’re familiar with the campaign, expect new twists and custom homebrew content that will make this journey through Drakkenheim fresh and exciting.
