Groupfinder

Group manager

Everything your group needs between sessions, in one place. Share handouts and maps, decide who sees what, settle on a date, and put your session notes somewhere your players will actually read them.

Free for your first groups · Works alongside Discord, Roll20 and D&D Beyond

The whole group on one page

Handouts, maps, house rules, links to the tools you already use, last session's notes, the next date. It all sits on one page, so nobody has to scroll back through six months of chat to find the tavern map again.

Sort it into colour-coded folders and drag the ones you open every week up to the top.

You decide who sees what

Every folder and every file is visible to all group members, selected members or only you. Your prep notes and the twist in act three stay yours. The warlock's pact terms go to the warlock and nobody else.

Editing is separate from viewing, so a co-GM can keep the lore folder up to date while everyone else just reads it. Every player also gets a private folder that only they and you can open.

Find a date without the chat spiral

Put up the evenings that might work and let everyone tick the ones they can make. The votes add up as they come in, and once you confirm a date it shows up on the group card with an add-to-calendar link.

Players who are not on Groupfinder can vote too. Send them the poll link and they answer without an account.

Documents that live with the group

Write your house rules and lore in the built-in editor, or point to the documents you already keep somewhere else. A link shows the site it leads to and opens in a new tab. PDFs and images preview right there, so a handout is one tap away at the table.

Documents keep their edit history, so you can see what changed and who changed it.

Session notes, and honest feedback

Write the recap once and everyone can read it before you next play, including the player who had to miss it. Notes are numbered and dated, so the campaign log builds itself.

You can also ask the table how a session went. Each player answers privately and only you see the answers, which is usually the difference between polite silence and something you can act on.

Maps, art and files

Upload the battle map, the tavern art and that wanted poster. Images, PDFs and video all get thumbnails, and the newest uploads sit at the top.

Files follow the same access rules as everything else, so whatever you drop in a private folder stays there.

Polls, forms and safety tools

Ask the table a quick question, or send round a longer form. Start from the ready-made Gameplay Preference Sheet or Safety Tools Sheet, or write your own questions.

Answers come back to the group page, next to everything else about that campaign.

Group chat

Talk to the whole table, or to one player privately, and roll dice right there in the chat.

Discord notifications

Point a webhook at your server and new files, notes and polls get announced where your group already hangs out.

Nothing new to learn

Keep using Roll20, Foundry or D&D Beyond. The manager holds the group, not your virtual table.

Finding players too

Short a player? Post the game on Groupfinder and take the applications into the same group.
