Brotherhood of the Dice is a group of friends who get together to play tabletop RPGs, mostly leaning into horror with a sprinkling of fantasy and sci-fi. We run games like Call of Cthulhu, Mothership, The Dee Sanction, Dead of Night, Electric State, Pirate Borg, Dragonbane, and Outgunned, throwing in the occasional curveball with something more quirky like Land of Eem when we feel like changing things up. As most of our games lean heavily into horror, they tend to favour a serious tone, but when things go off the rails, chaos and hilarity are never far behind. Which is just part of the fun. The Story Four years post gap, Absalom Station is failing. After The Awakening, societal upheaval began to fracture the station, culminating with the shattering of the Eye. Now three years later, resources are becoming scarce and those who remain are starting to get desperate. Not only have gangs been growing rapidly, but strange creatures and monsters have begun appearing all over the station. Residents form small communities to try to weather the increasingly post-apocalyptic landscape they find themselves in. In an abandoned neighborhood in the Arms, a small community of survivors huddle awake in a commandeered community center in the dead of the night. Tipped off that a local gang’s arrival is imminent, the center’s newest (level 0) members are tasked to defend their new home. Our crew of survivors must level-up and find a way to survive and thrive in their new post gap reality.

RollCamp is a VTT that only supports D&D 2024, and it's staying that way. No system-agnostic engine, no expansion roadmap to other games, no plugin marketplace. One ruleset, built in properly. Campaigns Each campaign has its own page the DM can customize with a name, description and background image. There's an archive for images, soundtracks and notes, and the DM decides what gets shared: everything to the party, or specific resources to specific players only. Notes are always private to whoever wrote them, DM included. You go through the creation wizard, and (almost) every choice you make propagates: AC, HP, saves, proficiencies, weapon masteries, spell slots, spell save DC. Change your armor, pick a different feat, choose a fighting style, and the numbers follow. You're not typing your own AC into a box and hoping you did the math right. There's a full creation wizard and a guided level-up wizard, so leveling is "click level up, answer the questions it asks you" instead of "open the PHB, find your class table, remember what you're supposed to get at 5th level." Maps There's a built-in map editor. You import your own battlemap (up to 8K resolution), set the grid, place tokens, done. Dice are 3D and animated so a roll is a shared moment rather than a number in a log. Webcams are built in over P2P so nobody has to juggle a second app. Initiative lives in a tracker the DM controls, so the turn order isn't something one person is holding in his head. The compendium is available in session as well as out of it, which kills the classic five-minute pause where someone goes looking up a spell. Same idea behind the chat, and because the sheets are interactive you can drop a spell or a feature into it as a link with the full text attached. Shadowdark RPG is a modern masterpiece of old school fantasy tabletop gaming, created by Kelsey Dionne and published by The Arcane Library in 2023. It blends the lethal, dungeon crawling spirit of the Old School Renaissance with streamlined, modernized mechanics inspired by the fifth edition of Dungeons & Dragons. Description In Shadowdark, players are adventurers delving into tombs and ancient underground cities in search of gold and glory. The game is highly lethal, emphasizing player skill, resource management and creative problem solving over character sheet abilities. The dark is a physical, terrifying presence and making sure keeping the light on, is beyond vital to survival. System Overview & Key Features Real Time Torches Torches last exactly one hour of real time. The Game Master sets a physical timer at the table. When the timer runs out, the light goes out, and the characters are plunged into total darkness where deadly monsters thrive. Familiar d20 Mechanics The core system uses a standard 20 sided die (d20) with advantage and disadvantage, making it incredibly easy for modern players to pick up. However, modifiers are kept extremely low to maintain a grounded feel. Randomized Character Growth Instead of picking from a massive list of feats or skills when leveling up, players roll a random talent on their class table. This speeds up character creation and forces players to adapt to the unique strengths of their adventurer. Slot Based Inventory Encumbrance is simple and strict. Characters have a number of inventory slots equal to their Strength score or a minimum of ten. Every item, from a sword to a torch, takes up exactly one slot, making resource management important.
