DND Game in Woking, UK

Hi, I am currently DMing a game on alternate wednesday evenings in Woking, UK. Due to a change in workload, I am going to have to step down as DM and am looking for a replacement for the group. There are 6 of us with a wide range of experience from one player who has only ever played a few sessions all the way upto players who have been playing for decades. The campaign is fairly new (about 3 sessions). Players are level 2 and are running through Lost Mines of Phandelver. They are happy for a new DM to takeover from where they are or to start a new campaign. They are not bothered about whether it is homebrew or a module - but they would like a healthy, balanced mix of combat, exploration, and roleplay and prefer high fantasy over scifi or  steam punk. They don't mind starting a campaign from scratch, but wouldlike to keep their character concepts if they can. The group is a great mix of personalities and I have loved DMing for them. Let me know if you are interested.

Story Driven Cyberpunk Red/Homebrew Campaign

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Hello!      (QUITE A WORDY DESCRIPTION BUT TOTALLY WORTH READING) I ran a 6 month DnD Campaign earlier this year and had such a good time with it that we're looking to do it all again in the near future, this time in a Cyberpunk/Dystopian setting :) Our last campaign was extremely narrative heavy and I imagine we will lean into that just as hard this next time. I am pretty relaxed about the rules and happy to bend things if it makes for a better moment. The main goal is to have a great time and create something that feels a bit more like a story experience than just a TTRPG. 5 players worked great last time and with 3 of the original group returning we’re looking for 2 or maybe 3 more at most. It’ll be another 6-month campaign, playing weekly on either Saturday or Sunday. Obviously, the occasional planned absence or emergency is completely fine, but everyone should realistically be able to make almost every session. I tend to tie the story quite closely to individual characters, so having people consistently there makes a big difference. I also like putting a bit of effort into the atmosphere (lighting, music, sound effects, set pieces, maps, etc). The last campaign even ended up involving a weekend away for an important part of the story and if all goes well we will totally do something like that again. Campaigns require a real commitment not only to the DM but also to the other players. I can safely say that despite none of us knowing each other before the 1st campaign we are all really good friends now and we hope to make more in the form of a couple new faces for this one! If you're interested, have questions, or just want to know a bit more about what we're planning, feel free to message me. Thanks for reading!

Warhammer Fantasy RPG 5th Edition

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Planning to run a campaign eventually with WFRP next year but planning a few oneshots in Oct/Nov/Dec. Will be using Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 5th edition (only just released) I hope To find some like minded players or just to have a oneshot laugh with new people and maybe bring some people to the game. Beginners more than welcome (some of my group are from DnD and new to Warhammer). If you’re interested drop me a message and tell me a bit about you. For the oneshots I will likely make a load of varied characters with enough choice that there will be something you want to play. This is so that we can get straight into it and learn the rules as we go. Likely play on Weekends usually at Arcanists Tavern in Hackney. For those new to Warhammer: it’s a more grim and more perilous world, set in the Human empire, you have a species: Human, dwarf, halfling, high elf, wood elf. Career: each career has 4 tiers and the idea is you progress in this (or swap to a more appealing one) you may start as a Grave robber but end up as Indiana Jones/Lara Croft type. No game breaking abilities but powerful nonetheless. A bit about me: in my 40s. Group is 30-40s but anyone welcome. I’ve run WFRP as a kid (1st Ed) and as an adult have run 2nd edition. I also play in two DnD 5e campaigns and have DMd a 5e campaign. I plan to go back to Warhammer, love the setting and find the lower power and more brutal Warhammer appealing rather than the quick power jumps. Love to make the character important: the more you give the more you get back! Message me if interested or want more info.

Hai :3  I've been DMing online for about 2 years now but I've never tried irl, so here I'm trying to start that :p forgive me if I'm rather amateurish  I have two campaigns that I'll decide between based on the player makeup, one a time-loop sandbox I've home-brewed, and another a tighter dungeon crawl, still fairly nonlinear, based on Fear&Hunger. Before any of them, I'd like to run a oneshot to see what type of players I have  Generally, I don't tend to stick super closely to rules as written, and tend to not plan nameless enemies. I also don't have a super firm grasp on the rules themselves lol so it'll be a learning experience for all of us (so generally, not trying for the highest heights of difficulty)  In terms of players, I'm hoping to find people who aren't super old (I'm sixteen, ideally be under 20) and who are ok with the queers™ (don't be an arse basically)  So ya :3 if you want a roleplay-planning focused campaign rather than turn by turn battle strategy this is probably the campaign for you ✨  If your interested, DM me on discord at 'lavenderthesillycat'

City of Mist One Shot

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Hey there! You can call me bam or bamboozled here and I have just recently moved to London! I'm staying around Mile End so I'm pretty close to city centre and I would love to try and run a few one shots in person with others that enjoy ttrpg!  I am mainly experienced in running City of Mist or any of the Mist Engine by Son of Oak Studios as it is lighter on the system and more emphasis on the narrative and roleplaying aspect of it so if that sounds like anyone's cup of tea feel free to let me know!  New players or players new to the system are welcome as well as I will teach them the system which is pretty easy and we will be using pregen characters provided by me or I can guide you through character creation for anyone that's interested. I'm mainly looking to run something by this weekend or even next week so if anyone is free or around, I wouldn't mind running a few one shots (we can use pregens if that's easier to get into the system or idm guiding players through the character creation process) If that sounds like something that interests you, feel free to hmu and we discuss time and location for our fun one shots that may or may not turn into a long running campaign if it's the right vibe! Hope to hear from you all soon! Cheers!

Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk

Hi everyone! A friend and I have recently moved to London and are looking for players for the campaign Phandelver and Below: the Shattered Obelisk in the Forgotten Realms setting. We need 2-3 more people and I am happy to accommodate new players as well as experienced ones. We hope to play every Friday evening at our flat in Colindale for about 4 hours. Here's a little about how i run my games as the DM: - 5.5e D&D (2024) - Plenty of opportunities for roleplay, exploration and tactical combat - A relaxed tone focused on allowing everyone to have fun and be invested in the campaign - I'm a relatively new DM (this will be my 2nd campaign), so a bit of patience and respect will go a long way. As long as everyone engages with the story and each other, I'm sure we'll gel well. - I ask that you make your character on D&D Beyond as we use its in-built VTT for combat, so please bring a laptop or tablet (you won't need to pay for anything don't worry) We are both in our 20s and so hope to find people of a similar age. We are willing to be flexible though, so long as you can have a laugh but also be mature when the scenario calls for it. We are inclusive, LGBTQIA+ friendly and hope to foster a welcoming environment within the group. If this sounds interesting to you, please don't hesitate to drop me a message and tell me a little bit about yourself, your D&D experience, what you're looking for at the table and any questions you have!

Delta Green - East London

Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
New Orders from A Cell I'm looking to put together a group of 3-4 people to start up a new, in-person Delta Green game. I have 2 new players and so am looking for 1-2 more. Let’s start off with self-contained sessions and see if it evolves into something more long-form. I will be running this as a game of modern-day conspiracy horror with burned-out federal agents combating unknown cosmic threats and late-capitalist rot using only their wits and whatever governmental overreach they can muster. Slow-burn investigations build to paranoia and desperate actions where the agents must ask themselves whether what they are fighting for is really worth it. Game details: Day/Time - Saturdays - 1pm to 5pm. Offline - East London public location (i.e local pub or gaming bar). Currently most likely either Arcanist's Tavern or Loading Bar, Stoke Newington. Scenarios - I am looking to start off running the group through published scenarios/campaigns (Last Things Last, Puppet Shows and Shadow Plays, Owlshead Mountain, Ex Oblivione) before introducing home-brewed content. Frequency - The game will be run episodically in that we will play in short collections of sessions over subsequent weeks that cover an operation and then take a break. Operations typically run 2-4 sessions, played weekly with roughly a 4-week break between operations. Session 0 - we will have a designated Session 0 as an opportunity for everyone to meet for the first time, get an introduction to the campaign and create characters. Session 0 will also cover lines and veils, X-card in play and any specific content warnings before each operation This group is not a fit if you're looking for high-action combat, monster-of-the-week pulp or a long-running heroic arc. Information about me: I’m a mid-30s GM based in London. I’ve run a range of TTRPGs (DnD, Troika, CoC, Delta Green, Symbaroum) for both public and private groups for a number of years. I enjoy running players through investigatory campaigns where small details unravel into wide conspiracies. I’ve been a big fan of Delta Green since the new edition and have run several games in the system. I am eager to start a dedicated group with fellow fans or interested newcomers. I'm looking for players in a similar life stage so scheduling doesn't keep collapsing so this group would be best suited for those 25+ who are looking to balance TTRPGs with other demands. If this game sounds like something you would like to join, complete the survey below and I will revert asap. Link Drop me an message with any queries and I will revert as soon as I can.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Welcome, greed and glory, to Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader! Where/When 🕕: Location (IRL) - Ealing, North-West London, U.K (we expect no costs for this campaign, as we currently have one of the players as a host, but we may have to meet sometimes at a local pub - in which case one is expected to order at least one drink) Times - Wednesdays, 6pm-10pm Starting - Late May / Early June The Setting 🚀 : Enter a galaxy of strife and chaos in this retro-futuristic universe of aliens, space-wizards, and even a little bit of science-fiction! The galaxy of the 41st millennium is a space-opera setting rife with woe and peril, where humanity languishes under an imperium of lies, greed, prejudice, and lunacy - its all-consuming ambition only held in check by countless enemies: Heretics from within; Xenos from without; and Daemons from beyond, each of them more brutal and ruthless than the last! Forget the promises of advanced technologies and the betterment of mankind, for in the grim darkness of the far future there is only war! The Campaign 🚩 : Venture into a long-running sand-box campaign where your objectives will be clear, but their order and your approach entirely your own! You will have the opportunity to become a valiant saviour, a glorious warrior, or a ruthless tyrant! Gather your allies about you - from faithful servants of the imperium, through disillusioned masses seeking a new master, to the baleful Xenos - the aliens who exist ever at the periphery of mankind's domain upon the stars! If you are so bold, perhaps you'll even venture to play as the alien yourself! Experience 🤓 : None! Any and all levels of familiarity with the system and/or the setting completely welcome! Session 0 will cover character creation, base rules, and a lore primer! Disclaimer ❗: The universe of Warhammer 40,000 is one riddled with serious themes that may make some players uncomfortable - racism; sexism; class struggle; religious persecution; war; whatever character you create, expect them to be flung into life-and-death situations where the morality of decisions becomes meaningless. While I believe this is what makes the Warhammer 40,000 universe and experience much more immersive, nuanced, and fascinating than many other space-themed universes, I understand that not all players may find these themes comfortable. You are thus welcome to discuss with myself - before, after, or during a session - if any part of the story or adventure is making you uncomfortable, and I will do my utmost to accommodate such that we can all enjoy the game together! We've already got at least 3 players signed up for this campaign, but we're happy to welcome more! We hope to see you there, and remember - The emperor is watching! 👁️ 👁️

Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
Hello there, I’m Jacob, a dm of over half a decade, and hopefully your guide to the cursed lands of Berovia After finishing up my first few IRL campaigns through university I’m hoping to start a new one closer to home. The game would be hosted at The Missing Geek in Staines, or at similarly close venues when it’s not available starting hopefully over the next few weeks. Currently we have 2 players but still have at minimum 2 and maximum 4 more slots to fill. Requirements and warnings - - my ideal player is someone who enjoys role-play and amercing themselves in there character and the world of Berovia, this will be a 50% roleplay, 25% combat and 25% exploration and puzzles. - Ability to work with new players. All levels of experience are welcome. - To be able to play for about 3 hours on Wednesday evenings. - Curse of Strahd isn’t a very explicit game mostly but it does have some rather dark and bleak themes so you need to be at least 18+ to participate. - I love the module however it also has its issues, I have tired to preserve the spirit of the game whenever I run it, but expect homebrew, sometimes a lot of it, at points. If you meet all these requirement, and are looking to delve into the world of epic gothic fantasy, with one of dnd’s most iconic villains give me a message and we can talk

Wholesome, RP-heavy homebrew seeking 2-4 players

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
The Basics System: D&D 5e (homebrewed, rules bent liberally for story) Location: King's Cross area, hosted at DM's house (meal included!) Schedule: Most likely Sunday afternoons (we might do Saturday afternoons or every other Sunday, depending on group availability. Please apply if any of those work for you!). 3-hour sessions, starting beginning of March Current group: DM + 2 players, all in our 30s Seeking: 2–4 more players. Newbies welcome. Start: Level 5 The Setting Your characters are travellers from another world, stepped through a portal onto a mysterious planet. What you've found: the ruins of a once-great civilization — crumbling towers, forgotten vaults, secrets buried in the dust. There's no single big bad to defeat. Instead, I build stories around your goals. Want to track down your missing son? Get revenge on the bard who betrayed you? Save up gold to buy the six-legged racing dino you fell in love with? Then come join the Gentlepersons’ Society for Heroic Oddities & Occasional Glory. West Marches–inspired structure, slice-of-life pacing, lots of room for exploration and character moments. The Tone Think Studio Ghibli or Avatar: The Last Airbender — not Game of Thrones. Cozy, heartfelt, and a little silly. Content is PG-13: fantasy violence exists but isn't graphic; no horror, sexual content, or edgy themes. Diplomatic and peaceful solutions are always valid (and often rewarded). Murder hobos need not apply. The Table LGBTQ+ friendly, kind, and collaborative. I love improv, goofy ideas, and players who get genuinely invested in NPCs and each other's stories. Party harmony matters — we're here for found family energy, not inter-character drama. You (Ideally) Proactive and character-driven Comfortable with a DM who treats the rulebook as a suggestion Enjoy emotional beats and RP as much as (or more than) combat Warm, funny, not crude Reliable: can commit to attending at least twice a month — this is the big one Note-taking is a bonus How to Apply Fill out https://forms.gle/KhRggzgqsVauCnKz5. I'll follow up with a casual video call before your first session to make sure we're a good fit for each other. Questions? Drop them below or DM me.

Looking for an IRL campaign to join in London. I am a veteran player (and DM) based on North London who enjoys all parts of D&D from roleplay, exploration, combat and world building.   I am looking for a group that meets weekly or bi-weekly and am happy to jump in mid-campaign. I’m very much a team player. I want everyone to have fun, and I’m conscious of making sure my own fun never comes at the expense of someone else’s. I am also happy to DM one-shots and mini-campaigns when DM burnout kicks in. I’m happy playing most classes and am open to different campaign styles. I’m mainly looking for a regular group with a good atmosphere where everyone gets a chance to contribute and have a laugh. If you’re looking for a player, or know of a group with space for one, please drop me a message! 😊🎲

Tabletop gaming in London

London has one of the largest and most varied tabletop scenes in Europe. On any given night you’ll find games running in game stores, board game cafés, pubs and community spaces across the city, from long-running campaigns to quick one-shots.

D&D leads the way, but London’s size means almost every system has a group somewhere - Warhammer, Call of Cthulhu, Pathfinder, indie RPGs and plenty of games you’ve probably never heard of. Many tables welcome complete beginners, so you can start without reading a rulebook.

Every December, the city hosts Dragonmeet, a long-running convention dedicated to roleplaying and tabletop games.
