The Snakewood [2pm EDT] [Friday]
What do you want most from a weekly game?
Deep roleplay? Tactical, high-stakes combat? Genuine player agency where your choices reshape the world? Dynamic, fully realized NPCs with real motivations?
If that’s what you’re looking for, welcome to the table. My goal every week is to deliver a cinematic, bespoke session that respects your investment, integrates your backstories, and keeps you counting down the days until next game night.
The Pitch: Terror in the Snakewood
In the storied world of the Forgotten Realms, ogre raids are an unfortunate reality of the frontier. Brutes driven by unending hunger and simple cunning, they are usually manageable by seasoned local guards.
Not this time.
The jewel of the Sunset Vale, Berdusk, finds itself besieged by an organized horde striking from hundreds of miles to the south the dense, cursed forest of the Snakewood. Worse still, blades shatter against their hides and arrows fail to draw blood. Whispers spread of lycanthropic infection running rampant through the monstrous horde, breeding giant, apex predators immune to mundane steel.
Desperate to protect trade routes, farmlands, and innocent lives, the High Magistrate of Berdusk has issued an open call for mercenaries, spellcasters, and seasoned tacticians. Whether the solution demands the slaughter of the werewolf packs within the woods, diplomatic parley with monstrosities, or delving into dark planar secrets the city simply needs results.
What Kind of DM Am I?
Dynamic Encounters: Combat is never just a room full of stat blocks trading hit points. Expect dynamic environments, shifting objectives, and tactical depth where brute force is rarely the only, or best solution.
Living, Breathing NPCs: Every faction, ally, and villain has distinct motivations, philosophies, and secrets. They react organically to your choices, forming alliances, holding grudges, or pursuing their own hidden agendas.
Player-Driven Storytelling: Clever plans, outside-the-box thinking, and unexpected choices are actively rewarded. The campaign's direction bends around your decisions, not a rigid script.
Tone & Stakes: Heavily inspired by deep mythologies, grim fantasy, and character-driven serialized drama. While I love table humor and heartfelt moments, actions carry real stakes. Character death is always handled collaboratively, fairly, and with narrative weight.
