[Online] [DnD] [5E/5.5E 2014/2024] [Weakly : Sunday] [21+] [LGBTQ+ Friendly] An All New Campaign Based On You ! Hi, my name is Logan (34M) from Belgium. I've been a DM for over 10 years in different RPGs. I want to start an online campaign with friends all over the world. I love to breathe life into a world and my characters and I’m searching for players that want to do the same. The time of play will be 3 hours on Sunday in a window between 7PM and 12PM GMT+1 so between 10 AM to 5 PM CST for my friends across the Atlantic. We’ll establish the official time once we have our players. Here's a bit about my DMing style:
  • I see RPG like we're making a movie together. Great movies have victories and defeats, fun moments and sad ones. Sometimes you're the hero of the story. Sometimes, you're the sidekick of someone else's story. I seek players that are not shy to roleplay their characters and get that it's not just a game to win points: It's all about the story.,
  • My balance is often 60% roleplay / 35% battle / 5% puzzles,
  • There is no lore, no pre-established narrative frame to start the campaign. I want to start and build it based on your characters, their backstories and what they do. i build my campaigns in sandbox arcs that feed from each other. I have ideas for the start and for long narratives to drive the story, but I want it to be weaved organically with your story. The universe is classic medieval fantasy D&D.
  • I believe there can be no real fun without real agency. that's why I believe giving a maximum of freedom to my players to act, react, initiate, take risks and also face consequences. Rules of fun always applies. I avoid railroading as much as possible ( some "dungeon narrative" sometimes give no other options but, yeah)
In terms of player profiles, I search non-complicated/ non-toxic players (first player syndrome won’t be welcomed), LGBTQ+ friendly, and 21+. The reason for the age restriction is mostly because I don’t exclude mature themes in my campaign. Romance, intimacy and trauma aren't off the table, but consent and boundaries will be discussed beforehand. I just want to be able to create stories with bigger emotional stakes. I use DND beyond for all sheets and maps management. Discord for online chat.  If you're excited to join a campaign like this one, please fill out this form: Log in to view

Start Playing link : https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmrxzii1k00a9jr04ev58nj36?slug=cmmar8n4o00t4l7040hi3laio Of Hope and Other Sorrows is a linked, sandbox campaign using The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying 5E, where a journey begun beside a warm hearth in Bree may carry your Company far across Middle-earth. Rumours from the North Downs draw you onto roads less trodden, through forgotten ruins and into lands still haunted by the memory of Angmar. All the while, Goblins scurry in the deep places of the world, Wild Men heed the call of a white hand, and Elves pass solemnly along the East Road. The dead and the living cling to a past they cannot relinquish, while proud lords lend an ear to promises of power. Slowly, the troubles and grief of distant places enter your own story, and a wider Shadow begins to fall across your doorstep. And still there is time to meditate on unknown calamities, to exchange whispers by torchlight, and to give the matter of second breakfast its due consideration. Along the way, an unlikely companion becomes a dear friend, a stranger’s troubles become your own, and a place scarcely marked upon a map becomes somewhere you hope to see again. As the paths grow darker, these attachments give your choices their weight. Mercy may prove costly, courage may go unnoticed, and a small kindness may be remembered long after the Company has passed. Such things may travel further than you know. Your journey shares a living Middle-earth with my Thursday campaign, A Shadow Moves in the Dark. Through the Robin’s Roost, a quiet haven for trusted friends of the Free Peoples, letters, warnings, rumours and half-finished notes may pass between fellowships walking different roads. A discovery made by one Company may help another survive; a failure in one part of the world may send danger spilling into another. Each fellowship has its own tale, while the Shadow they face moves before the Wise fully understand its shape. Expect rich roleplay, meaningful journeys, layered mysteries and dangerous choices, with room to linger, form friendships and become invested in what happens to the world around you. You need neither a scholar’s knowledge of Tolkien nor previous experience with the system; I’ll help you find your feet. Bring curiosity, consideration for your companions, and a willingness to follow a story whose course your choices will help shape. Save a city from hell, or watch as another suffers the same fate. Save Elturel from the Descent Startplaying.games Campiagn Link --- The Descent is a massive event in Forgotten Realms lore. One man's greed and lust for power led his entire city to be dragged to hell. Now, whoever said hell, can't be fun, hasn't played the Descent into Avernus. This campaign takes everything that you would expect from a game with this name, a small romp through a city that soon leads to a Mad Max style escapade throughout the first layer of Hell. Fighting both demons and devils to save a city. With no military affiliation to speak of, you do this for the love of the game. This campaign is so grandiose that you can fight not just one, but two seperate Gods. Whilst this campaign does take place in Hell. Make no mistake, there is plenty of room for comedic shenanigans. After all, if we didn't laugh, we'd certainly cry. --- Character creation Creating your character Character creation can happen in many ways: 📋 During Session 0 we can build a character together whilst we talk. 🐉 If you have a DNDBeyond sheet we can import it into the system. 📝 If you have a paper sheet I will re-create the character for you. 💪 Characters will be level 1 to start - Point Buy or Standard Array. 📕 Species and Subclasses from these books are permitted: PHB, MPMM, FTD, TCE, XGE, GotG, BMT, Forgotten Realms & The Module ⚡ Spells from all official books (barring Strixhaven) are permitted Creating a highly optimised or Min/Max build is highly discouraged. --- What to expect Preparing for the session 💻 A laptop or computer with a resolution of 1366x768 or higher is recommended to ease of viewing. 🔊 Discord 🎙️ A microphone 🕴️ A character idea or concept 📒 (Optional) Something to take notes on 📹 (Optional) A webcam Note that whilst I will play with a webcam on, players are not obligated to do so. --- What Matthew (ItsScottish) brings to the table 🎮 I will bring the server that the game will be hosted on firstly. 🔐 A secure server with HTTPS security. ⌛ Plenty of Patience for new players and a guiding hand 🍹 A curated atmosphere > 📞 NPC voices > 🔊 Background music and noises Including Combat > 🗺️ Plenty of Battlemaps 🧠 Vast Lore Knowledge of the world --- Homebrew rules 🎲 Roll Modifiers Unless stated otherwise, any action that adds to a roll must be called before the roll is made. Guidance, Reckless Attack, Kenku Recall, adding Bardic Inspiration to a roll, Standing up, Lucky. - If you are Unsure, ask. 💪 Origin Feats Unless the feat specifies otherwise - Only 1 Origin feat per character. ⚡Circle Casting Regardless of the option, If it stipulates you must contribute a spell slot, then you must contribute a spell of equal or greater level to the casting. 🫕Healing Potions Larger Healing potions can be broken down into smaller potions with an Alchemy Kit
