Description

Do you love Buffy but have opinions about some of the choices made? Would you like a chance to re-write the Hellmouth? Then this is the game for you! Yes, I know there is a Buffy-specific rpg. But I like Monster of the Week's ease of play and flexibility better. If you've never played MotW, it's incredibly easy to learn. There's tons of theater of mind, role-playing opportunities, and the players (called "hunters") get a lot of say so in the story. CHARACTERS Players may choose to play a canon character or create their own. Buffy, Xander, Willow, Giles, Cordelia, Oz, Jenny Calendar, and Amy have all been introduced and played. Angel has too, but there are special circumstances around Angel atm. Players may also choose to change characters from session to session. You can play Giles one session and then Willow the next. Having different players play the canon characters each session creates a really unique story and interpretation. You are also welcome to create your own unique character. The last time I did this, we had an OC as the Bronze bartender and this time around we have a vampire hunter named William with a very interesting backstory. PLAY This game is designed for Buffy fans to "go nuts". Headcanons, bizarre theories, ships, whatever you've always been itching to explore are on the table. There will be a general foundation to jump off of each session, and there will be season arcs and Big Bads. All the traditional things we love about Buffy will be present. Locations are the same: we have the high school/library, Buffy's house, the Bronze, the graveyard, the factory the bad guys always love, and downtown Sunnydale as our main locations. We will be playing mostly on Roll20/Discord. In my experience, Roll20's video/audio acts up often on my end, and the game runs a lot more smoothly when I've turned off my camera and mic there and turned it on on Discord. I'm expecting each session to be about 2-3 hours long, give or take. PLAYERS Ideally, I would like to have about 6-10 people interested in playing who can play as many sessions as they'd like. You're welcome to join every week, or pop in when you've got the time. We will have a "Previously on Buffy the Vampire Slayer..." recap at the beginning of every session to orient everyone. I would like people who can commit to a session at least once a month, to make sure we have enough players each session. We will also map out the players for future sessions at the beginning of each month, so people can plan ahead. If the game is not for you, you are welcome to bow out at any time, just let me know so I can monitor the number of players in reserve. This game is open to ALL types of people. But no bigotry is allowed at any time. Our current players love working with new people and are very friendly and flexible. Together, they have led these characters down very cool and interesting paths, while still keeping the heart of them in tact. I think new players will be especially pleased with Xander.

Join my new campaign/ already play-tested*** Welcome to Oregon State University, 1995. Home of the Beavers, Hard study, Parties, late-night pizza… and the occasional creature stalking the dorm hallways at 3 a.m. At first the strange events seem isolated — a missing tutor, fresh food turning rotten overnight, an attack in the science block car park, and rumours of something moving through the forests at night. But the deeper you investigate, the clearer it becomes: Something ancient is stirring beneath Corvallis and whisper in the dark speak of a rising Cult. You didn’t ask to become monster hunters — but you have seen beyond the mortal veil that protects society’s mind. Someone has to uncover the truth before the town is swallowed by whatever is crawling out of the shadows. And right now, you’re the only ones who believe the danger is real. The truth is out there-if you are brave enough to find it. What to Expect in This Game In this campaign, you will play students or faculty uncovering supernatural mysteries around **Oregon State University and the surrounding town of Corvallis. Each mystery will lead you deeper into a hidden world of strange events, forgotten folklore, and supernatural forces that most people refuse to believe exist. Players will: • Investigate strange disappearances and unexplained events • Explore eerie locations across campus and the surrounding forests • Interview witnesses and follow unsettling clues • Confront monsters and supernatural threats • Slowly uncover a much larger mystery hidden within the town Every investigation reveals another piece of the truth — and the deeper you dig, the more dangerous that truth becomes. The world of Phelun is an old one that has seen many conflicts throughout its history. While times seem peaceful, beneath the surface there are whisperings of the Dragon Queen stirring within her prison, strange events occurring upon the continent of Ines, and adventure awaiting upon the lost continent of Asoris. This is an 18+ only server that is a mix of go at your own pace pbp and west marches living world elements.  https://discord.gg/X8dFsNrjBw This is a new Server that has been worked on by one DM for 3 months. It currently features the following:     PbP forums for those who prefer slower RPs.     Living world channels where characters can explore the lands or meet one another in real time in the pub.     DM run Tables. (We are looking for more DMs to help run tables)     Mining, gathering, fishing, and exploration through Avrae commands (commands are ready, but random tables need to be filled out more for variety).     Random in game daily events (not tied to irl days, and still being worked on).     Market to buy items.     Guilds (will need leaders).     Job command to earn coin and a living world channel to RP the work in. (currently being reworked)     Custom Drinking command for the pub.     Player housing.
