Description

- Variatie in speelstijlen. ---  Hi everyone, What: Beginner module called The Lost Mines of Phandelver Who: Beginner players Where: Amsterdam-Zuid, my apartment (or at your place if you live nearby) When: Tuesday evenings; frequency and duration to be decided together with the group Why: I’d like to start DMing again, but I don’t currently have the time to set up an entirely new campaign. That’s why I want to guide a new group of newbies through a DnD module I know like the back of my hand. I’d also like to meet some people in the area with similar interests! Language: Dutch / English About me: I’m 30 and work full-time in information security; before that I was a therapist. At one point, I wrote a (fantasy-ish) book while living in a cabin in the woods in Sweden for a year. My nerd hobbies are DnD (including painting miniatures), and I also enjoy normal human things like strength training, hiking in nature, cooking, laughing uncontrollably, and having deep conversations about philosophy and politics. During DnD sessions, I find it important that everyone feels safe, that people are willing to cooperate (also in character), and that we can have a good laugh. What you get: - A free and enthusiastic DM with two completed campaigns of experience - A fun campaign, tailored by me, suitable for beginners - A DM who doesn’t have all rulebooks memorized. The game is complex, and we’ll learn together. When in doubt, we follow the rule of cool What I’m looking for: - Beginner players — even if you know absolutely nothing about DnD, you’re welcome - Empathetic players who are considerate of each other (and me). Any form of racism, discrimination, exclusion, sexism, or other inappropriate behavior (in or out of game) will not be tolerated - Players willing to step into their character. You don’t have to be perfect, but you should be open to learning Players who are okay creating a good-aligned character with clear motivations to engage with the story - Players who can commit to agreements (unless there’s illness or an emergency). If you can’t make it, communicate it well in advance. I put a lot of time into preparing sessions and won’t accept last-minute cancellations without good reason. We either play together, or not at all - Players who have not played The Lost Mines of Phandelver before and have no prior knowledge of the story - Variety in playstyles — it’s great if each player has their own strengths - Players who avoid meta-gaming and min-maxing - Players who accept that, while discussion is always welcome, the DM has the final say - Preferably players aged 19+ - Preferably a mixed group of people - Willingness to briefly meet or have a video call to see if we click - Preferably no applications from multiple people at once (e.g. couples, friends, groups, classmates, etc.) Interested? Send me a private message with: - Who you are - Your experience with DnD so far - Why you’d like to join If I receive more than four applications, I’ll select the candidates I think fit best with me and each other. Once the four players are finalized, I’ll schedule a session 0. We’ll discuss expectations, ground rules, and I’ll introduce the world to you. Hope to hear from you!

The Legends of Arithea

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Hello and welcome to the world of Arithea! Arithea is a world where gods walk among the people, magic is everywhere, and the stars are alive with knowledge of the past. The year is 3999 AR, just before the elder gods return to the mortal plane for the thousand year festival. It should be a time for celebration, but something dark is brewing. There’s whispers about a dangerous magic that turns people mad and tensions growing in the south of the realm. Not that those whispers concern you, of course. After all, you’ve found yourself in the kingdom of Eridia, a place known for its peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. Regardless of how or why you came here, you’re here now, and you have received a mysterious letter signed by the head of the Queen’s guard requesting your help. This is where our story begins. ——————————————————— I’m a 21 year old experienced player (but new dm) that has created an entirely home brew world to run this game in. My big inspirations are Percy Jackson, Studio Ghibli, Genshin Impact, and the podcast Malevolent, though that one doesn’t translate as well as the others since my world isn’t horror. I’m a big fan of whimsy and the rule of cool, so if you’ve got a wacky character idea, this might just be the place for you! I really want to go into depth about your backstory and make you care about not only your character, but the group as a whole. This will be a very rp focused game, with very little but meaningful combat. I plan for it to be mostly serious in terms of tone, but I am also not going to shy away from the occasional ridiculous side quest or silly bit. I will warn you now that I can’t really do voices and accents for the life of me, but I’m going to try my best. I don’t know exactly when this game will start because it will depend on how quickly I find players, but I’m hoping for late August or September. I plan for this to be a very long term game, so please only apply if you’re going to be in it for the long haul. We will be starting with every other week, but we may switch to every week once I get a hang of prepping for/running sessions. ——————————————————— Ground rules: 18+ only. Please be safe on the internet you guys. No AI in any form. No bigotry of any kind. We will be using d&d 5e 2014 rules. I’m also open to homebrew stuff, but you have to ask me first. New players are 100% welcome! You don’t need to have any experience at all with anything d&d, all I ask is that you show up and try your best. I’m totally willing to help you figure it out! I am a new DM. This is the first game I am running ever. There will inevitably be hiccups and mistakes but such is life. If you’re looking for a super polished game, this probably isn’t the one for you, but I have hope that we’ll still have fun, everyone starts somewhere and I’m excited to start here! If everything above sounds good to you, then please fill out the form I made and I will message you with more information if I think you’d be a good fit! Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
The mists hide a world plundged into darkness for centuries. A dark lord has control of this cursed land. Those who are strong can escape the mists. Hello all, I am Michael.  I am starting a new campaign playing within the world of Ravenloft. This a gothic horror story that is traumatic and a fun time. This is a roleplay heavy campaign with intense combat encounters and plenty of chances for exploration. This is my third time running the campaign and I am excited to see what a new group of adventurers will make of this land.  This is good campaign to start your D&D journey as it starts at low levels and you learn as we play. So if you enjoy a fun and scary time at the virtual table then this is the game for you. Gothic Horror, High Fantasy, and Eldritch Horrors I have not chosen a day and time so if some players have a specific request we may be able to work it out. Level 1-10, with possibilities of higher levels depending on the game Go from ragtag adventurers. Unravel villain motivations, fend off living and undead threats that haunt the land, and confront one of the most famous villains. Strahd Von Zarovich. This campaign uses the best of the plot lines of Curse of Strahd: Reloded rounded out with additional materials, and characters backstories. To join this campaign, or if you're looking for other long-term adventures for D&D 5e campaigns to have a good time in. Pirates of Saltmarsh

Paid game

LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
This campaign is a different take on the module of "Ghosts of the Saltmarsh." We will be playing through the adventures in the module with character driven storylines. This is a naval campaign that will be taking place in waters of Faerun. So your character should have some connection to islands or the water. This campaign will take you down the path of piracy, political mystique, and underwater discovery. A mix of heavy combat, mystery solving, and medium roleplay. Character interaction is encouraged, but full on voices are not required. High Seas, High Fantasy, and Eldritch Horrors Level 1-10, with possibilities of higher levels depending on the game Go from ragtag mercenaries to local heroes. Unravel political plots, fend off living and undead deep-sea threats, and confront eldritch cults. This campaign uses the best of the adventures in Ghosts of Saltmarsh rounded out with additional materials. To join this campaign, or if you're looking for other long-term adventures for D&D 5e campaigns to have a good time in.
