Description

Hello there! This year I have been working on a project where I adapt various iconic video game bosses and encounters into D&D 5e boss fights, with the intention of compiling them all into a free, public module for anyone to use at the end of the year. As a part of this project, I have put together a party of 5 players to playtest one boss encounter each week. Unfortunately, one of my players has had drop step back due to personal commitments, and a spot has opened up. Each week I announce the boss, the level requirement for your characters, and the magic item loadout you can bring-- along with any additional mechanics necessary for that week's fight. You can choose to bring the same character every week, or make a brand new one each time as long as your characters are fairly balanced. After each fight, I will post the stat blocks for the monsters and ask the players to give feedback on the monster's design and mechanics, along with any suggestions to improve the encounter. The goal is to create interesting boss showdowns that go beyond just watching numbers go down on each side. If this sounds interesting to you, please send me a message with some information about yourself and your experience with D&D both as a player and a creator. Current play time: 8PM EST Thursday nights Thanks, Paddy Discord - paddy4530

Elaria: Breaking the Chains Elaria is a land of powerful kingdoms, ancient magic, and prosperity built upon slavery. Humans, orcs, beastkin, prisoners, and countless others are bought and sold while those in power grow wealthy from their suffering. Within the slaves social circle classes have been established, the house slaves see themselves as better then those who work the grounds and so on. The party begins as ordinary adventurers with no army, rebellion, or grand destiny. But as they travel across Elaria and witness the cruelty of its kingdoms, they will have opportunities to fight back. You will not start in a inn or town, it will be a suprise Freeing a few slaves can become rescuing a village. A rescued village can become allies. Allies can become soldiers and soldiers can become a rebellion. The players will build that rebellion themselves—recruiting allies, establishing bases, gathering resources, liberating territory, and deciding how far they are willing to go to end slavery. Eventually, Elaria's kings will learn their names. The only question is whether history will remember them as heroes, rebels, or something far more dangerous.

I run a homebrew game set in Exandria. We use Roll20 and Discord (Physical dice encouraged). Will often allow ROC over RAW. SUNDAYS: 11:30AM EST (3-4 player spots available) Continent: Rolicrite (Rohl-uh-kreet)-((Roll A Crit haha)) An ever shifting island continent, of the Shattered Teeth. In the wake of the Gods' fall a century ago, the ancient wards that once concealed the island kingdom of Rolicrite shattered, revealing its shores to the world. For centuries, Rolicrite thrived in isolation, a bastion of untold magic safeguarded by enchantments as old as time. When the barriers between planes were torn asunder and the gods were stripped of their divine might, the island of Rolicrite became a crucible of arcane backlash. Nature itself rebelled. The skies ruptured with fury, birthing an unrelenting tempest that raged for 100 days and 100 nights. Though the initial Hundred Storms faded, the magic of Rolicrite was changed forever. Even now, years later arcane maelstrom storms, remnants of that cataclysmic event return without warning. Towering cyclones of arcane chaos twist across the island, sometimes touching down with devastating effect. Their presence is marked by violent weather, mutating energy fields, and magical surges that cause spells to backfire, mutate, or even rewrite the laws of physics briefly. But the true terror begins once the storm has passed. When the Maelstrom lifts, it leaves behind a dead zone. A scar across the land where the Weave is utterly severed. In these Nullfields, magic simply ceases to exist. Spells fail, enchanted items lie dormant, and even divine miracles fall silent. These zones can last anywhere from a single day to a month, and their shape and size are unpredictable. Creatures caught within a Nullfield at the moment of its creation often find their magical essence drained permanently. Familiars vanish, warlocks lose their patrons’ whispers, and magical creatures may become mundane or even die outright.... Your adventure..... To All Concerned Citizens of Eastgaurd and the surrounding Keeps, It is with great urgency that we inform you of the recent prison break at Shadowspire Penitentiary. The most dangerous criminals, once contained within its walls, now roam free. We implore all residents to remain vigilant, stay indoors after sundown, and report any suspicious activities immediately. The escaped prisoners are armed and highly dangerous. If you encounter any of them, do not engage directly. Instead, alert the nearest guard post or town authority. Your safety is our utmost concern. May the gods watch over us all in these trying times. Sincerely, Eastgaurd Council of Safety TOWN CRIERS WORDS EXTRA! EXTRA! HEED THESE WORDS, CITIZENS!" "Shadowspire Penitentiary — breached! Its black walls shattered in flame and chaos! Dangerous criminals now stalk the roads and rivers! Stay indoors! Lock your doors! Hold your loved ones close!" "Among the escaped: none other than exiled noble Jareth Blackwood, former prison warden turned traitor!" "All able-bodied citizens and bounty hunters are urged to report any sightings to the Warden’s Keep immediately!" The party has spent weeks pursuing Jareth "Shadowblade" Blackwood, the one responsible for the prison break and the current leader of The Cult of the Whispering Veil. Their investigations have carried them across dangerous roads deep into a swamp in search of an ancient temple lost to history. Through recovered journals, interrogations, and hard-earned clues, the party has learned that Jareth intends to perform a powerful ritual during the upcoming Summer Solstice. The ritual's true purpose remains unknown. Jareth has spread his influence and scars wherever he travels. Those he considers useful, capable, or simply unfortunate enough to cross his path are taken. Some willingly, most by force. Once captured, they are fitted with enchanted masks imbued with ancient shadow magic, robbing them of their free will and binding them to the Whispering Veil's cause. What awaits at the temple is still a mystery. Some within the party believe Jareth seeks to summon an ancient entity imprisoned long ago beneath the ruins. Others suspect he plans to sacrifice his followers to ascend beyond mortality himself. Whatever the truth, one thing is clear: The Summer Solstice is fast approaching, and if Jareth is not stopped before the ritual reaches its climax, the consequences may extend far beyond the borders of the swamp.
