How to Succeed as a Space Mercenary Without Trying is an introductory one-shot for Lancer. If you've never played Lancer before, welcome, pilot! If you have, please be ready to help out those unfamiliar with the rules. To play, you will need to create a (free!) player account on The Forge (forge-vtt.com). If you'd like to familiarize yourself with the rules, the player-facing rulebook can be downloaded for free at massif-press.itch.io This is a one-shot game that should last about 4 hours. We seek to have an online RPG experience that is welcoming and fun. Players who can't handle that will be removed from the game. Sessions will begin on Friday, 27 February, 2026, at 1900 hrs (7:00 PM) Mountain Time. There will be a new session every Friday as long as there are interested players, barring any other events.
