Description

Hey all! Running a one-shot this today at 4pm PST and looking for 1-2 more players (open to a 3rd if a friend group or couples want in together). Currently have 3 players locked in. New to Nimble or TTRPG's? No problem, happy to teach. Pick Your Adventure (players are voting between 6 options but tied for these 2 choices right now). The players have voted for Fury Grove. 🌲 Fury Grove Forgotten Realms: Adventures in Faerûn · Level 3 The wood elves of Laughing Hollow have stopped coming to the spring festival. No druid arrived to bless the crops at Greengrass, no envoy to keep the peace between the village and the fey. The villagers are frightened. The hollow has gone quiet. Something dark has taken root in the sacred grove. And whatever is growing in there is hungry to spread. Themes: wilderness horror, fey corruption, druidic mystery Combat High Roleplay Low Exploration High Intrigue Low ⛏️ A Deep and Creeping Darkness Candlekeep Mysteries · Level 4 Seventy years ago the platinum mine of Vermeillon collapsed, killing dozens. In the months that followed, the survivors began to vanish one by one, until the whole town went silent. A mining company wants to know if it's finally safe to dig again. The road in is long. The houses still stand. And something in the dark beneath the mountain remembers the taste of fear and has been waiting a very very long time for someone new to feed on. Themes: abandoned town, dread, slow-build horror Combat Medium Roleplay Low Exploration High Intrigue Low The Details: System: Nimble 2e Day/Time: Saturday, May 23rd. Start time TBD between 3-6pm PT depending on whats best for all players group availability. is now 4 pm PST Session length ~4-5 hours. You don't need to be in PT, but scheduling is built around PT. Platform: FoundryVTT + Discord. Camera not required, but encouraged! Frequency: Just this one-shot, but the server is set up for recurring one-shots until a party clicks and folks want to commit to something longer term. Age: Must be 18+. No adult themes at the table, but it's an adults-only group please. Vibe: LGBTQ+ friendly, dynamic to different RP styles (first person voices or 3rd person). I do silly voices sometimes. You're welcome to flavor how you want or not at all. Current players lean toward combat / mechanically aligned but our group loves our RP moments too. Homebrew / House Rules: We run close to RAW with two changes: Using the new armor system from the playtests (which may soon become the default core rules) Alternating initiative. After each hero goes, the GM goes. Has a "chess-like" feel, distinct from RAW side initiative where all heroes go then all monsters. About Me: I'm Trist. I run Nimble regularly and love the system. I'll teach you the rules if you're new, and I aim for a chill, welcoming table. I've had experience running modules for 5e, running one shots, and a little bit of Draw Steel. I have mostly settled on Nimble now. How to Join: Comment or DM with anything you'd like to clarify. Then I will DM you my Discord, where we will have a small brief questionnaire of 7 questions just to ensure our expectations match each others. Once we agree it's a fit, I'll send a server invite and you can vote in the poll for which adventure you'd like to run (currently tied between the two listed). After a few sessions of one-shots to make sure group chemistry lines up I will be pitching multiple campaigns or adventures to choose from. Happy gaming! Trist

UNBOUND Playtest

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Playtest
The game is still being tested, and your feedback is part of the point.
LOOKING FOR 3–5 PLAYERS — IN-PERSON TTRPG PLAYTEST Location: Millbrook / Prattville / Wetumpka, with the Montgomery area also an option Format: In-person tabletop RPG Genre: Fantasy adventure Experience: None required — new and experienced players welcome Character Creation: Required as part of the playtest. You'll be building your own character rather than having me build one for you. I'll be available to answer rules questions, but I specifically want to see how well a new player can navigate character creation on their own. Schedule: Flexible evenings or weekends System: UNBOUND, a custom TTRPG system I'm developing I'm looking for 3–5 players to help playtest UNBOUND, an anti-essentialist, leveled point-buy TTRPG built around one idea: Build the character you actually want to play, instead of choosing a class and being told what that character is supposed to be. UNBOUND doesn't lock you into traditional class archetypes. You build your character through Build Points, Perks, Limitations, and attributes, allowing you to develop in whatever direction fits your concept. Combat is dynamic, using Active Defenses, contested rolls, and armor as a percentage-based damage reduction system. Magic is intentionally flexible, and healing isn't restricted to one dedicated “healbot” class. The goal of the playtest is to actually put these ideas through their paces at a real table — see what works, find what doesn't, and have some fun while we're doing it. No prior experience with TTRPGs is necessary. You don't need to know any systems going in; character creation is part of the playtest, and I'll walk everyone through it. The Player's Guide, GM's Guide, and Martial Arts Handbook are already available on the UNBOUND Discord. Send me a message and I'll give you an invite so you can look them over before deciding whether you'd like to play. Interested? Message me. Even if you're curious but not sure yet, feel free to reach out and ask questions.

Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Game system: Pathfinder 2e Remastered, with optional rules to recapture more of the 3.5 D&D feel. CONTENT WARNING: This is not an inclusive or “safe space” game. This official module can include or touch on: abduction, potential player-character death, extreme poverty, death by dysentery, stagnant water, fantasy deities, magic and the occult, animal harm, violence and gore, maiming driven by racial hatred, prostitution, brothels, sex, alcohol use, drug abuse, addiction, poisoning, murder, false accusation, witch hunts, religion twisted into fanaticism, abandoned children, harm to children, plague and mass death, genocide, war, indentured servitude (slavery), Unichs, false imprisonment, assassins, violations of the Nuremberg principles on informed consent and experimentation, supernatural pacts, beheadings, tyranical taxes, death, evil cults, indoctrination, domination, unlawful detention, bondage, imprisonment, toxic waste, environmental destruction, torture, body horror, maiming and death by fire or acid, corpses and human remains, undead (ghosts, ghouls, vampires), giant spiders and webbing, snakes, bats, other monstrous insects and vermin, necrophilia, non-consensual undeath, prolonged drowning, quicksand, twisted “nobility,” family legacies of incest and debt, fiery destruction, animal attacks, gruesome traps, mind control, forced transformations (lycanthropy), volcanic eruption, hazardous geo thermal features, claustrophobia, and more. Not for the fragile or the mentally ill.  Published module: The Fall of Plaguestone. Twist: Run as an Otherworlder / Isekai adventure (influences include Sword Art Online, Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash, The Wizard of Oz, the “Den” segment of the animated film Heavy Metal, and similar stories). You and a few others are somehow brought to another world of monsters, magic, and madness. Optional rules and Character creation: All player characters are Human only. Ancestral Paragon, Free Archetype, gradual ability boosts, Automatic bonus progresion are in play. Characters begin with amnesia. They have no classes or background—these must be earned in play. No evil characters. Not using the free ability boosts method. Ability scores are rolled: 3d6, then replace the lowest die with a 6. Only ancestry boost is applied. Ability scores (and the resulting bell curve) help describe your character. Attribute − 10 is the modifier. Good and Evil are objective, real forces. Alignment is not used, but sins committed are tracked. Introduction: You arrived at the northeastern tip of the nation of Isger, inside a farmer’s harvest and seed storage building, surrounded by Tar Baphon's undead hordes. one of the otherworld characters on watch ran outside and was promptly slain by ghouls. Seems all of you are trapped! Bort Bargrith's caravan clears the way and intent on resupply stop at the harvest storage building. Bort the dwarf rogue, Tamil the elven bard, and Shae the halfling ranger discover all of you. There is a confusing moment when no one can comunicate due to language. Bort provides a magical ring that gives you litteracy and fluency in the Common Andorian language. Bort says, "you must come with us or you will die here! The farmer families who opperated these farms are dead and by salvage rites you lot own all of this Stock. You can join my caravan fleeing Tar Baphon, in exchange for some of your goods."   GM: on the journey you may learn languages, purchase 30 gold of starting equipment, through use of Bort's magic rings and from the mass of refugees in the caravan get training in a trade (earn your background) and adapt to this world (earn your class) in the months of travel south. Setting context (past twenty years): Tar Baphon, the Slayer of Aroden, the Arch-lich, and the Dread Tyrant’s undead armies are marching south. The Goblinblood Wars have recently ended (a united effort by greenskin and scaled races to genocide everyone else). The orc war against the dwarves of the Five Kings Mountains has only recently ended. The hobgoblin Ironfang invasion of Molthune and Nirmathas has recently ended. Cults of undeath, disease, plague, death, chaos and destruction (Urgathoa, the Whispering Way, Rovagug) have been largely decimated, but hidden cultists remain and anyone you meet could be one. A recent witch-hunting inquisition died out, yet public suspicion of spellcasters still runs deep among survivors. A plague on the east side of the nation of Isger killed 70% of the mortal population. Platform: Discord. Voice. I will share my screen. I use Pathbuilder ( $5 to unlock all features, it is helpful if you have it, but you do not need it.). Starting: At a time the players agree on, once I have three or more players. Contact me here if you want to join and play in this Adventure.
