Draego's Island

I'm a first-time GM so please bear with me, I am familiar with 3.5 as a player though and would prefer to run the game in this as opposed to 5e. If the group agrees in session 0, I am willing to change to 5e. (I am just as familiar with 5e if not a little less than 3.5) Looking to run a homebrewed setting on an island surrounded by a magical storm conjured by a dragon "king." Will meet on discord for VC/Text chatting during the game, held on roll20 as the VTT.
