-18+     -2-4 Players*     -up to 2x Weekly Campaign     -Expected to last up to 8 weeks     -2-3 hour sessions     -Discord voice, Roll20     -Sundays and Wednesdays at 8pm US central *Core players are set, if you would like to try it out as a one shot, you can join for a game and then decide if you'd like to stay. Homebrewed to perfection. -Armor tweaks for combat -After taking a wound you only get back half your HP -New weapons, gear, items for the setting -Mech rules adapted from Gordinaak and expanded upon -New classes Paimon II The harsh planet of Paimon II is a hellscape. Coca Cola, Osidiro Empirical, and Golidtor arms are some of the major players vying for control. Rich with oil, precious metals, and its position outside of a POWER's reach, no government has control here. The rings that orbit the planet are untouched, for those who attempted to recover them discovered wonderfully new life forms that made sure they did not report their findings. On the Eastern side of the Caidorin continent lies the un-zone. Ships fight to get away, animals fight beloved owners that dare lead them near it, and satellites decommission themselves over it. Having lighter gravity than average, mechs are employed heavily. They are used interchangeably with more standard infantry support vehicles. Often no taller than 2 stories nor wider than a big street, urban warfare proliferates across the globe. Note: Mechs here are often bipedal with no torso, just a cockpit with weapons mounted around it. Mechs with arms exist but are often more expensive due to the maintenance and complexity. Setting All companies import civilians to replace those lost in their corporate wars. The masses are led by a deceitful carrot, their prize harsh lives where they swim in useless precious materials. Silicon, Gold, and Titanium are used as currency, where only the corps regulate and use them to their potential. You are a mercenary, no better than a dog. Pilot, anti-armor unit, or soldier, you fight to survive. Whether you were born here or brought here, tickets out of here are rare and expensive... In the northern isles of Paimon II exist mines that cover entire landmasses. Recently, rumors have begun to spread that the corporations have dug too deep, too greedily, unearthing ancient beings. Fortunately the company rep assured you that those claims are false. You're simply being sent to quell bust some unions and safeguard the mines. You'll be paid the usual and work alongside their soldiers. Hmm, apparently a wide range of mercenary companies are also being hired to deploy in the area... Contract missions Players will be free to accept contracts where they'd wish. Their actions will effect their standings with the different companies and allow them to shape the war. Think armored core. Players can be mech pilots, anti-armor units, or supporting soldiers, each will have their place in every mission. Combat between them can be described as a rock-paper-scissors. Preparation for all combat will be important as lethality is maintained for all groups. Ambushes, tactics, and clever ideas will be necessary to get that high score. Players could even reject missions a session and go out on their own, but doing so will be expensive. Background events will continue and be shaped by decisions. Maybe one company prevails, maybe they are all defeated, maybe something terrible happens to everyone. Join and see! Please respond to the following if interested: You do not have to answer question 2 if intersted as a one shot.     -Do you have a computer with a good microphone and good connection? (also noise cancelling or a quiet background to not distract others)     -Would you be willing to do shorter sessions of 1-2 hours more than once a week?     -Confirm that you could show up reliably to sessions.     -What character would you like to play?

Hi.  I run a game on Discord, Tuesday nights, 7 PM Eastern.  It’s a fantasy game…sometimes.  It’s sci-fi set in Shanghai…well, maybe next week.  It was a western a week ago, I think, or was that gothic horror? The game has you as a special agent, traveling to alternate histories for a massive, multi-reality travel agency.  Because all possibilities are possible, you can be whatever you want (within reason, about as powerful as an X-Man/Teen Titan and you must appear as human or at least as something that’s common in reality like a squirrel or something that could wear a holo projector to appear human).  Our group has a Fae cowboy, and a dieselpunk femme fatale.  In the past we've had robots, intelligent sand, hive-mind insect swarms and so on.  You come up with the concept and we’ll make it happen.   The game uses GURPS – a very old, crunchy and confusing game engine.  However, you will not have to do anything, just tell me what you want & I do the numbers.  I (the GM) am so backwards that we do not use AI or software.  I use a paper map and puppets. A bit about the group.  We may have one person, maybe more, leaving and we need a replacement.  This is not set in stone & cannot guarantee this will happen.  The group is mostly younger (20’s-30’s) & mostly women.  Therefore, I would prefer anyone joining to be a woman or at the very least not be weird about it.  This will get you immediately banned.  Please be nice and professional.   If you hate your office job or capitalism in general,  this is the game for you! We’re looking for the following: Foremost is a good personality and a sense of humor.  You can be shy and awkward (shy & awkward people often have the best senses of humor).  Juat don’t bring the mood down.  Next is consistency.  We’d prefer someone that can show up.  We play once per week, and you will need to consider that if you feel it will be an issue.  Finally, we are newb friendly and pro LGBT.  All we ask that you don’t be a jerk.   We do sometimes say naughty words and drink adult beverages.  Well, at least I do.  Please contact me if you have any questions.   I will try my best to accommodate.  This is actually a very special thing we have going on so please take that in consideration.   It's not your average game.   I'd suggest listening in first & you can make up your mind from there.  I’d also consider filling out the questionnaire as it is different than the rest.  You can reach out to me directly at @yeroldpalwill.  I respond quickly.  Thanks.  I do hope to hear from someone.   Hope its you.  Like,  seriously.  Please reach out.   If this is of any interest to you at all, please message me.  I'm probably not going to.   Let destiny happen for once in your life!

Whatever the opposite of a railroaded adventure is, this open-world campaign is that. The rules are simple. The world is complicated. What happens to it is up to the players. You will hear rumors, discover locations, meet competing factions, and encounter problems, but the game will not tell you which direction you must take. Some things the players have chosen to do so far: Join the local mercenaries to learn the ways of the sword as a mage - Retrieve an old lady's purse - Become war chieftain of an orc village - Decapitate a wight with a cursed sword Also some new races that are crafted to play and feel very different: - Pixie - fly, perfect hiding, cast phantasmal forces at will, insults cause physical damage to you - Orc - infra-vision, can recruit monsters more easily Races and classes are kind of blended together. Multiple characters are encouraged. Each choice allows you to do something that appears to let you break the game, while saddling you with something else that seems debilitating. This is by design, and players have come up with a few ways of getting around and abusing these things to the betterment of the story and lore. - Fighting-Man - Doesn't have to actually be a guy, but is a human. Can use all weapons and armor. - Magic-User - Has one spell, one "shot". Can meet with magic learned peers to exchange knowledge. The most notorious spell in the game right now is Charm Person because it doesn't wear off like in later editions. - Cleric - The best of the two above, but must be Good, and by the Law. - Elf - Essentially a Magic-Use/Fighting-Man with extra perks and ties with elves and the ability to sense magic, enhanced senses, etc. but capped at a certain point - Hobbit - Capped early, but can hide flawlessly in urban areas and snipe REAL good with slings. No magic. - Dwarf -  Capped early, but high resistance, good with all axes and hammers, can sense what stone touches and its shape, and ties with and extensive knowledge of dwarven culture and holds. There are major events going on in the background but instead of shoving players in the middle of them, I showcase the developments of those events that come about, for good or ill. The players decide what to investigate, whom to trust, which dangers are worth confronting, and what their characters want to accomplish. How many hirelings do you need to bring with you? How much can you do successfully alone to maximize profit? Play alone, 1-on-1 with DM and player, or up to 10 others at once. The world continues to develop around the party. Factions pursue their own plans, NPCs remember your actions, enemies adapt, settlements can change, and neglected situations may grow better or worse. Player choices can permanently reshape the campaign world. Let me know if you are interested!
