Chasing the shadow

One would think the Sea of Fallen Stars ought to be gentler than wide fathomless expanses of Faeruns oceans. One would be dangerously wrong. Ships inbound for Alaghon are going missing all the time: to be capsized by slavers, boarded by pirates is a comparably lucky fate. Less fortunate crews are gone entirely without trace in hours, only floating splinters left to show their fate. Your crew might not be among the lucky: this night, you are woken up by a loud horrid crack and sound of gushing saltwater, shaken like loose pebbles in Sapphire's hold by some unseen calamity and thrown out into the water, when her hull crumples to pieces. You should have drowned. And yet, when your lungs spasm for oxygen and you gulp in water, it sustains you as well as air. Something has preserved your lives. Hello there! We are a group of four (3 players plus the dm) currently about to start a new campaign and are looking for one or two more players to join! We usually play early saturdays and try to keep it as regular as possible though life does sometimes get in the way. The games take place on Foundry VTT and Discord. We all have differnt levels of experience so being a beginner should be no trouble at all.  All that being said, we're all dedicated players who especially like character development, roleplay and lore aspects of the game but really enjoy it all and just want to play more D&D. Lastly, everyone is 18+ and we would like to keep it so especially since this module does have darker themes. TCR is D&D 5e with re-balances to make it more fair and fun. we operate like an MMO, you simply create your character then you can sign up to join any quest. you keep all loot and level up after each quest. You can have multiple characters if you want to try different set up out. We have 13 classes with a total of 170+ subclasses. We have re-worked the races and plan to add more as we go. if we dont have something that your looking for let us know :D We use discord for voice and Foundry VTT for battle maps, rules and character creation. The VTT is heavily modified to be easier to use and more automated so you can focus more on the combat and roleplaying rather than finding stuff in a clustered system. We have a group of active GM's throwing out quests on a weekly basis. Alot of these quests are also part of a larger quest series that lets you delve into more lore and investigations.
