Description

"Destruction brought on by the return of the Cult of the Dragon in the mainland spurred explorers to voyage to unknown lands to seek safety, and so 20 years ago the untamed continent of Thindol was discovered, it being named after Sir Thindol, an Elven fisherman from Neverwinter. Dry and covered in deserts and savannas, settlements began to pop up across the barren coastline, the most notable being the city of Thindar, built around an obelisk made of black rock. For a time peace was the norm of the new world, that was until settlers began to encounter the native Yuan-Ti of the continent. At first, peace was attempted, but after several failed attempts of brokering peace, war erupted between the Yuan-Ti and the settlers. War has wrought blood across the new world, and there seems to be no sign of it stopping any time soon, with the emperor of the Yuan-Ti, Aten, refusing any stop to the war. Desperate to stop the war and quickly running out of manpower, the capital city of Thindar has sent out the call for aid, its mayor, Ryder Lionmane, personally travelling to the city of Waterdeep to recruit adventurers willing to travel to the new world. You were lucky, or unlucky, enough to be recruited by Ryder, and his goal for you is simple: travel to the city of Thindar and help its inhabitants stop the Yuan-Ti from exterminating them. Time is running out, and within the shadows, forces greater than the Yuan-Ti stir, for the people of Thindar are unaware of the history of this forgotten continent and the evil hidden within it". With the hook out there, hi! My name is Hayden, and I am attempting to run a long-running campaign for 4-5 players. My campaigns are very linear, but I will always encourage my players to find their own solutions to everything. My games are also very heavy in both roleplay and combat, with the story blending together with your own personal character backgrounds. The campaign's story is homebrew, but the monsters and mechanics you encounter are fully based on the 2024 rules of D&D. I will explain further rules and questions in dms, but these are some important notes: This is a friendly table to those belonging to LGBTQ+ This will be hosted weakly on Tuesdays I am more than welcome to DM for new players, as I have introduced several people to DND in the past. For a brief idea on what to expect, you and your fellow party members have just entered the continent of Thindol via boat, and are now travelling through the desert in a caravan. Your goal is to initially reach the city of Thindar, which is considered the capital of the colonies within Thindol. This campaign will heavily feature the Yuan-Ti, Aberrations, planar travelling, and the unnatural Far Realm. Should any of this sound interesting to you, please DM me either on Reddit or via my discord. I hope to get to know you, and please ask any question you have. Discord Username: khsovoso Cheers!

So it took me longer than expected but i am finally getting stuff together for my own campaign. Maps and minis and stuff. I would prefer to have players who can commit to regular play but i can easily work with absences due to the nature of the campaign. I am still looking for around 60/40 roleplay/combat.  I am willing to do a short one or two session adventure in my setting if people want to feel things out first. I intend to rent out the private room for sessions. I don't know if this matters to people but I have 0 desire to use AI in any of my campaign so if that matters to you there you go. A summary of the setting and what's going on as relayed by Arius, the figure with the bow in the images:  Long ago, when gods ruled the land, and men sailed the sea, when the earth trembled and the sky broke, a great beast rose up in the shadows, and cast the world into perpetual twilight. As the shadows grew long, horrible monsters rose from them. For many long years, the gods fought against this darkness, but they struggled. They cast their holy light upon the beast, but the brighter it burned, the darker the shadows became.  Finally, in the year 482 of the common era, Lifskona, the goddess of the sun, queen of the heavens, made a deal with the men of the sea. They would be allowed dominion over the land, in exchange for driving the beasts away, so that the gods could direct their power towards their true foe. Man would be blessed with great magic to aid in this war.  Their attention no longer divided, the gods soon succeeded in binding their foe, and banishing him from the mortal realm, ending the long twilight. It was not so easy for man. Even with their new power, the tribes of the sea struggled to gain ground against the monsters we call the Drak.  What the gods percieved as a short conflict was a multigenerational war of attrition. Neither side gained ground and the fields of Flodlan ran red with blood.  It seemed the violence would never end. Many considered returning to the sea, and a happier world. It was only 20 years ago that the Namea appeared from the south to lend us their aid. Mysterious and wise, they turned the tide at the brink of defeat, and together with the men of the sea, pushed the Drak west into the desert.  Ram Anu, our king and the man who led us in that final push, rode back different. Nobody who rode with him will speak of what occurred.  6 years ago, the king rode out again, to end the Drak menace once and for all. He has never returned.  If that piques your interest, let me know. I know i've posted about this twice now. It's just taken a while to get things going.

Above all, this table is a safe and welcoming space for every kind of player. Whatever your background, whoever you are, you can set your worries aside and step into a journey full of fantasy and mystery alongside friends old and new. This adventure is also especially crafted for beginners, those who don't yet know much about the world of Dungeons & Dragons or the system that ties it all together. I'll be right there to guide you every step of the way, so whether you've never rolled a d20 in your life or you're a returning adventurer, Phandalin has a place for you at its table. 🏳️‍🌈 Safe and Welcoming Space This table is built on respect, inclusion, and collaboration. Everyone is welcome here, regardless of identity, background, or experience with tabletop RPGs. Whether you're rolling your very first d20 or you're a seasoned adventurer, you'll find a friendly group ready to share an unforgettable story together. The goal is simple: make sure every player feels comfortable, heard, and excited to take part in the adventure. 🗡️ A Classic Call to Adventure Step into one of Dungeons & Dragons' most beloved adventures and discover why Phandalin has become such an iconic destination. What begins as a simple escort mission quickly unfolds into a tale of forgotten legends, ambitious villains, hidden treasures, and ancient mysteries. Along the way, you'll meet memorable allies and dangerous foes while exploring a vibrant corner of the Forgotten Realms filled with history, intrigue, and opportunity. ⛰️ Exploration and Discovery Adventure lies beyond every winding trail and weathered doorway. Venture into forgotten temples, abandoned mines, ruined fortresses, and long-lost dungeons, each hiding secrets waiting to be uncovered. Exploration rewards curiosity, careful planning, and clever thinking, offering magical relics, hidden lore, and unexpected encounters for those willing to stray from the beaten path. 🔍 Mystery and Investigation Not every challenge can be solved with a sword. The people of Phandalin each have stories to tell, motives to hide, and secrets worth uncovering. Observant players who ask questions, connect clues, and investigate the world around them will often discover new opportunities, hidden dangers, and alternative solutions that might otherwise remain unseen. 🎭 Roleplay at Heart This is a character-driven game where your choices matter just as much as your abilities. Meaningful conversations, difficult decisions, and memorable relationships are at the heart of the experience. I encourage players to embrace their characters' personalities, ideals, flaws, and goals, creating moments that feel genuine and rewarding. Those who actively engage with the world and bring their characters to life will find the story responding in kind. ⚔️ Meaningful Combat Every battle serves a purpose within the narrative. Some encounters test your tactical skill, others challenge your resource management, and a few may force difficult moral decisions. Victory isn't always guaranteed, and rushing headlong into danger can carry lasting consequences. Teamwork, creativity, and strategy are often just as valuable as a powerful weapon or spell. 🗺️ Cinematic Presentation The world comes alive through immersive presentation. Official module maps enhanced in Foundry VTT, carefully selected music, atmospheric sound effects, dynamic lighting, and vivid narration work together to create memorable scenes. Whether you're descending into forgotten ruins, standing before a looming fortress, or sharing a quiet conversation in a bustling tavern, every moment is presented with the goal of making you feel like you're living inside the story. 📜 Campaign Listing: If you'd like to read the full campaign details, character creation guidelines, house rules, and reserve your seat, you can find everything here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmrdy1gb300gok204lq1k7t7h?ref=cmjkeghcz002oif042ddtkai4 Any questions or interested in joining? The world of Phelun is an old one that has seen many conflicts throughout its history. While times seem peaceful, beneath the surface there are whisperings of the Dragon Queen stirring within her prison, strange events occurring upon the continent of Ines, and adventure awaiting upon the lost continent of Asoris. This is an 18+ only server that is a mix of go at your own pace pbp and west marches living world elements.  https://discord.gg/X8dFsNrjBw This is a new Server that has been worked on by one DM for 3 months. It currently features the following:     PbP forums for those who prefer slower RPs.     Living world channels where characters can explore the lands or meet one another in real time in the pub.     DM run Tables. (We are looking for more DMs to help run tables)     Mining, gathering, fishing, and exploration through Avrae commands (commands are ready, but random tables need to be filled out more for variety).     Random in game daily events (not tied to irl days, and still being worked on).     Market to buy items.     Guilds (will need leaders).     Job command to earn coin and a living world channel to RP the work in. (currently being reworked)     Custom Drinking command for the pub.     Player housing.
