Description

Hello, one and all! I am looking for players to join my upcoming campaign starting at the end of June. Is this campaign for you?
  • You have prior knowledge and experience playing D&D. The current player group consists of quite experienced D&D players and the campaign itself is more oriented around the assumption that players around the table are familiar with the rules of D&D and have had prior gameplay experience. Newer players are welcomed, but as a DM I would not be able to assist you that much as I am running the game at the same time.
  • You have a good sense of humor. As the current party has a good chemistry going on, we are looking for players who would enhance that chemistry and the big part of it is humor. We joke around a lot and don't take anything said out-of-game too seriously.
I personally have been playing D&D on and off for about 5-6 years now, mostly as a DM. The campaigns focus is going to be more around roleplay and encounters and is expected to run for about a year and take the party from level 0 to level 10. In general, I am 23 years old (male) and currently working in IT; I play a lot of video games (most favorites are turn-based RPGs like Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Divinity: OS 1&2) and am quite a cinephile. Game description: "Since the founding of the Republic of Deregos, its people have embraced a tradition known as the Republic Championship. This annual event serves as a rigorous test to determine the most skilled and capable individuals who will stand as the defenders of the realm. The Republic Championship spans the entire year, commencing with the Opens, a series of preliminary competitions that act as a gateway for aspiring contenders. These initial rounds provide an opportunity for participants to showcase their abilities and prove their worthiness to compete at higher levels. As the competition progresses, the most exceptional contenders from the Opens earn coveted invitations to the prestigious Invitationals. This exclusive stage of the championship brings together the finest warriors, mages, archers, and tacticians, creating an arena where true champions are determined. The Invitationals represent a crucible of skill and strategy, where competitors face increasingly difficult challenges designed to test their limits. It is here that veterans and newcomers alike clash, pushing themselves to the edge of their abilities in their pursuit of victory. From the ranks of the Invitationals, only the most extraordinary individuals emerge triumphant, earning their place in the highly anticipated and climactic Eclipse Tournament. The Eclipse Tournament stands as the pinnacle of the year-long championship and symbolizes the culmination of the Republic Championship. The Eclipse Tournament captivates the entire Republic, drawing throngs of spectators who eagerly anticipate the showdown of the ultimate champions. In this grand spectacle, contestants engage in epic battles, displaying their exceptional skills and indomitable spirits. The champions of the Eclipse Tournament become living legends, their names etched into the annals of the Republic's history. They embody the ideals of courage, honor, and unwavering dedication to the cause of protecting the realm. Their remarkable feats inspire awe and ignite the imagination of all who witness their prowess. Through the crucible of the Republic Championship, the Republic of Deregos discovers its true defenders. The soldiers who emerge from the fires of competition carry the hopes and aspirations of their people, embodying the spirit of resilience, unity, and unwavering determination. They stand as beacons of inspiration and guardians of the Republic's freedom and democracy. As the Eclipse Tournament approaches in the current setting of Year 23 of the 5th Era, the anticipation builds, and the Republic eagerly awaits the revelation of its new generation of heroes who will rise to face the challenges that lie ahead."

Have you wanted to try D&D for a while, but keep thinking: “I don't know the rules.” “I'm probably terrible at roleplaying.” “I don't even know how to make a character.” “Everyone else will know what they're doing except me.” Then you're exactly the kind of player I enjoy introducing to D&D. I'm an experienced DM running weekly online campaigns, and a large number of my current long-term players started with little or zero real D&D experience. You do not need to read the entire Player's Handbook before joining. You don't need to memorize every spell, know how every mechanic works, or come in with a 10-page character backstory. We'll build your character together, I'll explain things as they become relevant, and you'll learn naturally by actually playing the game. And don't worry—beginner-friendly does not mean the campaign is watered down. The dice still matter. Your decisions have consequences. Characters can succeed, fail, get themselves into horrible situations, come up with ridiculous solutions, and completely change where the story goes. My games focus heavily on: • Character development • Roleplay and relationships between characters • Player freedom and creative solutions • Exploration and meaningful decisions • A story that reacts to what the party actually does • Helping new players learn without constantly stopping the game • A consistent weekly campaign rather than playing once every few months One of my current players described the experience like this: “The players have freedom, and no decision ever feels like a wrong one. I keep coming back for the DM, the players, and the characters and stories we've told together.” — Remy / Joffarex You don't have to be an amazing roleplayer when you start either. Quite a few of my players were nervous about roleplaying when they first joined. That confidence usually develops naturally once you become comfortable with your character and the group. GAME DETAILS System: D&D 5e / 2024/2014 rules Campaign: Faerun for new players Format: Online Voice: Discord VTT: Roll20 Session Length: Around 3–4 hours Group Size: Around 5 players Frequency: Once per week Price: Session 0, character creation, and onboarding are free. Regular campaign sessions are $20/player Experience Required: Absolutely none Current Openings: 5 SCHEDULING Wednesday, 8 PM GMT+4 / 12 PM ET my schedule is flexible, so if this time doesn't suit you, we can discuss it over a call THE ADVENTURE This is a long-term campaign set in Faerûn, built specifically for a new group. You’ll start as relatively inexperienced adventurers and gradually become involved in larger conflicts, dangerous factions, strange locations, and stories tied directly to your characters. Expect a mix of roleplay, exploration, combat, mysteries, character backstories, and choices that can genuinely change where the campaign goes. This is not a pre-written railroad where you just follow quest markers—the direction of the story will depend heavily on the party. INTERESTED? Send me a message here first with: Your timezone Your general weekly availability Whether you've played D&D before What kind of character, campaign, or D&D experience sounds fun to you Anything you're nervous or unsure about If it sounds like the game could be a good fit, I'll give you my Discord and we can talk properly there before you commit to anything. I care quite a lot about group chemistry, so I'd rather have five people who genuinely enjoy playing together every week than simply fill seats as quickly as possible. Complete beginners are very welcome.

Female DM with 6+ years experience looking for 1 more player who loves to roleplay, delve deep into lore and backstories, and get a kick out of scheming, plotting and exploiting a homebrew open world in a long term weekly DND campaign. In a world where corporations vie over powerful resources, the gods have fallen silent and every choice has consequences - the party has travelled to the land of South Rhodesia where dragons rule in peace. It's the end of the year, the 50th anniversary of Godfall and day of the dead, a festival has taken over the streets of the dragon fort and everyone is ready to celebrate. While we have already begun the adventure, it is not too late to join! We have a barbarian, a monk, a necromancer, a warlock, and a druid who have come together to unravel the mysteries of the crystals which cover this world and save people from the machinations of the mega-corporations.  We are seeking 1 more player to join the party long term, there is still much of the story to unravel. If you enjoy delving deep into lore, roleplaying with the party and with NPCs and exploring the world around you - then this is the group for you. A replacement rail service catapulted our party into the chaos of Fracture, they've fought off train robbers only to become train robbers themselves. In doing so, they discovered a secret slave trade that they are attempting to bring down, whilst working against the corruption of the corporations and trying to (mostly) be the good guys (I think). Amongst the dangers of corporate research, deals with devils and the fury of freedom fighters, they have uncovered something else, something so much deeper and more deadly than the problems on the surface of Heleth - the truth about crystals. As the party seek out answers from silent gods, they wonder just how deep this rabbit hole goes and where on Heleth it might lead them. New players will be offered a free session 0 which will include a catch up of the story so far and discussion as to how their character will integrate into the party. $20/session Thursdays 7:00pm-10:30pm BST 2014 rules with a few homebrew ones thrown in the mix, open to exceptions and edits. Level 9 Any class or species (except Spelljammer), open to homebrew requests. All backstories will be integrated into the world and story, with each character getting a chance to explore them. So, if magical storms, corrupt corporations, and crystal super weapons sounds like your kind of thing - message me if you want to know more or check out the game listing here.
