Description

Hello Everyone, I am looking for 2 players to join a new long-form campaign: Venice, 1983 — occult, terror, and coming-of-age. A bit about the campaign Your characters are 16 years old living in Venice. It is the 1980s: Walkmans, cigarettes smoked behind the school, parents who don't listen, a city that is beautiful and damp and too old to be entirely safe. Something is wrong in Venice, and the adults around you can't see it. Expect a slow-burn, atmospheric horror campaign: heavy on investigation, relationships, and mood. Low on combat (!) when violence happens, it matters and it hurts. Think Stranger Things mixed with Breakfast Club and Call of Cthulhu. Why 16 years old Sixteen is a threshold. Not a child, not an adult. Old enough to act, too young to be listened to. Everything is louder at sixteen: the first loves, the first betrayals, the first time you realise the people raising you are making it up as they go. Something is being lost, and you can feel it going. That's the whole point. At sixteen your characters will be allowed to be wrong, to make bad calls, to trust the wrong person, to miss what's obvious. That's the material we build from. Their friends will be the centre of the universe; the party isn't a team, but a found family under pressure. And there will be moments when they genuinely feel they can change the world, because at sixteen you do, and sometimes you're even right. Think Stand By Me, It, The Virgin Suicides: kids who walk into something too big for them, who love each other fiercely, and who come out the other side carrying something they can't put down. To play this well you need to be okay being vulnerable, dropping the adult armour, letting your character be clumsy, scared, sincere, melodramatic. If that sounds uncomfortable, this isn't the table for you. If it sounds like the kind of story you've been wanting to tell, we should probably talk. A bit about the format
  • When: Tuesday evenings, 20:00 OR 21:00 CEST, ~3 hours per session
- Where: Discord, with video (fully online) - Duration: long-form, expect 50 sessions - Party: me + 3 players - Ages: 18+ (characters are teens, themes are adult) A bit about the rules Custom homebrew ruleset. Minimal, easy to learn, built around roleplay rather than character sheets. You don't need to know it! I handle mechanics, you handle your character. Deal. This is NOT 5e, I see rules to help with some conflict resolution, I am here for the roleplay and for character growth! A bit about me My name is Carlo. I've been running tabletop games for more than 30 years (sic). I'm a plotter. I like campaigns that are real stories, where each session has a place in a bigger arc but I don't railroad. The players decide what the characters do; I make sure the world reacts. I'm also high-functioning autistic. In practice that means I care intensely about the world and its people, I'm direct when something at the table isn't working, and I'd rather you be direct with me too. Say what you mean, I'll do the same. It's part of why I run the kind of games I run. A bit about you I'm looking for players who: - love story and character-driven roleplay - are comfortable sitting with horror, ambiguity, and slow burns - are okay playing teenagers: awkwardness, bad decisions, first loves, fear of adults - are not here for power-gaming or rule-lawyering The table is LGBT+ safe and welcoming regardless of gender, orientation, background, or experience level. New players are fine. What matters is that you want to tell a story with us. How to join Before anyone commits, I'll run a one-shot session in the setting so we can all see if we click. No pressure either way. If you rached this part, then I will ask you to hop on the form linked below and see if we are compatible! Log in to view

Throne of Solaris

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
The Throne of Solaris The golden spires of Hellios still catch the morning light, just as they have for a thousand years. The Sun Banner still flies above the Imperial Palace. The hymns of the Church of the Sun still rise from a hundred temples. Outwardly, the heart of the Solarian Empire beats as it always has. But the Sun-Blood no longer sits the throne. Emperor Aurelius, last living descendant of the Sun God in the direct line, lies silent in the Solar Chamber. Physicians, priests, and arcanists have come and gone. None can wake him. None can even name the strange lethargy that holds him. Until he recovers—or until the bloodline is secured—the empire cannot rule itself. The Imperial Council has therefore invoked the ancient right of Regency. Five names now stand before the empty throne, each backed by power, gold, steel, or faith: Edward, Duke of Gryphon — Master of the Merchants’ Guild and Head of the Librarium. Leontis, Viscount of Neolum — Son of the Archon and Grand Crusader of the Church of the Sun. Septimus, Prince of the Capital District — Captain of the Royal Guard. Stephan, Archduke of Ironheim — Master of the Forges and champion of the common folk. Zadakiel, Marquess of Fellgahv — Head Justiciary and Grand Master of the Order of the Black Wing Knights. Each claims the right to speak for the sleeping Emperor. Each has allies who would see their candidate elevated—and rivals who would see them fall. The court is a web of whispered deals, old grudges, and carefully measured smiles. Blood has not yet been spilled in the marble halls… but the air is thick with the promise of it. You are not the great lords. You are the ones who move between them: investigators, diplomats, agents, and observers with the skill—and the opportunity—to learn what others will not say aloud. The Council will not appoint a Regent in ignorance. Someone must cut through the intrigue, expose the truth behind each claim, and guide the choice toward stability rather than civil war. The sun still rises over Hellios. How long it continues to shine may depend on what you uncover in the shadows of its court.

D&D 3.5e Overhaul/Homebrew

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Howdy hi!! Shut-in world builder wizard here, just looking for cool people to bring to me and friends' online table for a bespoke variation of 3.5e D&D that focuses less on min-maxing/power-scaling and more on curiosity of the player, experimentation and a whole new toy box of fresh mechanics to dive into! Some of those mechanics share DNA with 5-5.5e concepts and might be familiar to players coming in from the most recent editions, and others have been forged from the mad scientist lab sessions of me and mine over several campaigns! We've got weird new races--psychic plant people, immortal deer fey, juggernaught dwarf-orc hybrids, sentient amnesiac undead, need I go on?! We've got intriguing reworks on old classics-- broad new specialization AND generalization options for casters, exciting new martial feats for bruisers of all types, and much needed re-balances for the discrepancies between Druid and Ranger! We've got an in-house, homemade character sheet template made in Microsoft Excel that tracks your bonuses, debuffs, gear weight, weapon rolls and all your stats in real time! We've got an entirely homebrewed, simple to understand, elemental damage counter system with a table of effects that completely turns the nature of how players and enemies utilize different damage types on its head! All this, and a chill, low-stress, inclusive table of nerds too! Sound good? Then give the profile a poke, and come see if your new favorite homebrewed TTRPG system will be ours! =)

Grasianil Chronicles[Custom D6 System][Maptool]

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Looking for player interested in testing custom game system via narrative roleplay and learning the system itself. Grasianil: Custom D6-based system utilizing Maptool primarily, heavily stream-lined to support large, quick battles. Versatility allows vehicles, mechs, and spaceships, utilizing unique mechanics, in-addition to single players. Minimal delays owing to macros within Maptool, utilizing pop-up menus, automatic calculation of damage, debuffs, armor, etc. Highly adaptable, with streamlined rules offering as much complexity as is desired, and based on the setting. Developed by myself and my partner who passed away earlier this year. Supports several original fantasy and sci fi worlds of varying types, from traditional western high fantasy, to detailed low fantasy, from space opera-style sci fi, to more realistic settings. In-addition to original settings not listed here, it has been adapted to: Legend of Zelda Battletech Middle Earth Forgotten Realms Mystara Shadowrun and Cyberpunk Pre-existing settings are not played strictly-canon, but consistency is stressed. Medium amount of experience in RPing requested, as well as an open mind to learn a new system. Maptool 1.11.5 needed, Discord used primarily for all text but other programs are an option, Google sheets used for some settings. Time-zone of GM is US Central. RPing otherwise done via text on Discord, but other options open to discussion. Session date and time variable, any listed setting available, suggestions welcome, inquire in DMs to myself for further details. GM preference for folks interested in creating a story, rather than purely for the gaming. One-on-one only, at the moment. No cost. No absolute obligation. Reach out to natalie7995 on Discord, or via message/email for more information. When reaching out, please send a message via Groupfinder or over Discord.
