Hi everyone! I’m looking for a group of 2 - 4 Tolkien fans for an ongoing campaign set in Middle Earth. I’d love to find a DM who is familiar with the lore of Tolkien’s world as well as a few other players who would enjoy exploring Middle Earth. I’m an inexperienced player and have only played in person (and that was at least ten years ago!). As such, I’m unfamiliar with the different online platforms. I’m also flexible on what system we use. I’ve only ever played 5e and it’s the only system I have information about, but I’m willing to learn another system. One thing I’d like to mention is that I’d like to explore a timeline outside of the events of The Hobbit and LOTR. It could be long before or long after. Our characters are probably small potatoes compared to Aragorn, Gandalf, etc. Also, as I understand it, magic is pretty rare in the world and so our characters probably aren’t wizards. I don’t think being a Tolkien scholar should be a requirement for joining. We can all learn together. I think it would be more important that a prospective player is interested in the lore. If this sounds interesting, I’d love to hear from you! And perhaps if you have some experience, you can help steer the logistics of setting a game up.
