Description

In the setting known as Spaceborn: Of Dark and Light, the year is 2288. Much has changed in the 284 years that have passed. In that time, the Terran Republic was slowly absorbed into the new United Republic of Sectors (URoS). Gradually, Earth accepted a new name and a new face: Terra, within the Sol system. Meanwhile, Alpha Centauri has slowly taken more of an interest over the years. In the story you are about to embark on, you are a bounty hunter and independent law officer. Officially recognized by the URoS, you are rigorously tested and expected to maintain strict physical and procedural standards. The expectation is that you will take some of the more strenuous manhunts out of the hands of local police forces. Over time, most law enforcement and military forces have become bogged down in anti-piracy campaigns, leaving little room for extensive hunts for criminals. To that end, both the Sector Rangers and the Bounty Hunter Guild were established. This is your story... You have joined the Bounty Hunter Guild and decided to run with a team of hunters. The Vibe:     Tone: "Grim-Light." Actions have consequences, combat is tactical, and the universe doesn't wait for you.     Inspirations: A blend of Star Trek, Stargate, and Halo.     Theme: Exploration, investigation, lore is a core feature—you will discover the universe's secrets as you play, meaning your characters won't know everything right out of the gate. The System & Tech:     System: Darklight V2. This is a heavily homebrewed and streamlined system built off the bones of Starfinder, designed to support unique archetypes, custom gear, and tactical encounters.     Platform: Foundry VTT (heavily customized sheets and modules) + Voice Chat Via Discord. What I'm Looking For:     Age: 18+ strictly.     Engagement: Players who enjoy digging into original lore, roleplaying complex situations, and engaging with a custom mechanical system.     Team Players: This is a cooperative game. You'll be working together to track, trap, and secure your bounties. Next Steps: Before we roll any dice, there will be a brief vetting form, a quick voice interview to make sure our playstyles align, and a dedicated Session Zero to integrate your character into the Guild.  More info will be given once you pass the vetting stage. Grasianil Chronicles[Custom D6 System][Maptool]

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Looking for player interested in custom game system via narrative roleplay and learning the system itself. Grasianil: Custom D6-based system utilizing Maptool primarily, heavily stream-lined to support large, quick battles. Versatility allows vehicles, mechs, and spaceships, utilizing unique mechanics, in-addition to single players. Minimal delays owing to macros within Maptool, utilizing pop-up menus, automatic calculation of damage, debuffs, armor, etc. Highly adaptable, with streamlined rules offering as much complexity as is desired, and based on the setting. Developed by myself and my partner who passed away earlier this year. Supports several original fantasy and sci fi worlds of varying types, from traditional western high fantasy, to detailed low fantasy, from space opera-style sci fi, to more realistic settings. In-addition to original settings not listed here, it has been adapted to: Legend of Zelda Battletech Middle Earth Forgotten Realms Mystara Shadowrun and Cyberpunk Pre-existing settings are not played strictly-canon, but consistency is stressed. The system can cover nearly any theme, so if a setting is not listed here, please inquire-within and I may have something that fits or be able to adapt for you. Medium amount of experience in RPing requested, as well as an open mind to learn a new system. Maptool 1.11.5 needed, Discord used primarily for all text but other programs are an option, Google sheets used for some settings. Time-zone of GM is US Central. RPing otherwise done via text on Discord, but other options open to discussion. Session date and time variable, any listed setting available, suggestions welcome, inquire in DMs to myself for further details. GM preference for folks interested in creating a story, rather than purely for the gaming. One-on-one only, at the moment. No cost. No absolute obligation. Reach out to natalie7995 on Discord, or via message/email for more information. When reaching out, please send a message via Groupfinder or over Discord.

Gundam Missions

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Playtest
The game is still being tested, and your feedback is part of the point.
Gundam Missions is a cooperative tactical tabletop RPG for up to 5 players plus a Game Master (GM). It combines elements of tabletop RPGs, miniature wargames and tactical board games, with the focus placed on teamwork, objective-based missions and Mobile Suit combat rather than simply destroying every enemy on the battlefield. Each player takes the role of a pilot and controls their own Mobile Suit throughout the campaign. The GM runs the enemy forces, mission events, objectives and the wider campaign narrative. As the campaign progresses, players earn rewards, develop their pilots, customise their mission loadouts and gain access to new equipment and tactical options. Missions include scenarios such as Destroy, Escort, Sabotage, Capture and Rescue, alongside larger boss-style encounters. These are connected by light storytelling and an ongoing campaign narrative, eventually building towards a final confrontation with the campaign's recurring enemy commander — essentially the campaign's "Big Bad." The game is intentionally more of a tactical RPG than a traditional roleplay-heavy RPG. You won't need to spend hours acting in character or memorising Gundam lore. Most of your time will be spent making battlefield decisions with the rest of the party: choosing routes, managing resources, protecting allies, completing objectives and deciding when to fight, advance or fall back. Missions take place on a 48" × 72" battlefield using 2D terrain, objective markers and game tokens. Movement and weapon ranges are measured in inches, while combat uses dice rolls for attacks, defence and other effects. Mobile Suits have different movement, weapons, armour, equipment and battlefield roles, giving each player their own strengths while encouraging the group to work together as a proper squad. A major part of Gundam Missions is the use of physical 1/144 scale Gunpla models. Each player needs a 1/144 Mobile Suit model to represent their unit on the battlefield. You do not need to already own a Gunpla to play, as a suitable model can be provided. However, building and bringing your own kit is highly encouraged. Choosing, assembling and customising your own Mobile Suit is part of the RPG experience, and the idea is that you gradually develop a connection with the machine you take through the campaign. All other game materials — battlefield, terrain, tokens, objective pieces and supporting components — are provided. You also do not need to be a Gundam expert. Gundam fans will obviously recognise plenty of the machines and references, but previous knowledge of the anime or wider Universal Century timelines isn't required. If you enjoy tabletop RPGs, miniature wargames, tactical board games, Gunpla, or cooperative games and fancy trying something different, you should be able to pick the system up fairly quickly. The rules are designed to be approachable for new players while still offering enough tactical depth for experienced tabletop players. Individual missions are expected to last approximately 1–2 hours, with the first campaign currently planned to begin this autumn and sessions expected to run roughly every other week. Gundam Missions is a free-to-play, independent, fan-developed project and is still actively being playtested and refined. Rules, balance, missions and other systems may therefore change as development continues. While the project is in a playable state, players joining the first campaign won't just be playing the game — their feedback and experiences will also help shape and improve it as the project develops. If this idea excites you, you live locally and you're interested in joining the group, feel free to reach out!
