Description

Greetings to all the awesome nerds here! I'm looking to DM some old fashioned D&D, and yes I am talking about 4th Edition D&D. It's almost two decades old now. I feel old too. I plan on, once I can get at least a few people on board, figuring out what sort of campaign would best suit the players and characters. As a DM, I'm pretty dang good at rules, but have more than enough experience to know when to let the rule of cool take priority. Been DMing since, well, start of 4th Edition. Almost twenty years now. The game would take place at a gaming store local to myself-most likely located in the Tinley suburb, south of Chicago. I'm open to other public venues, if that would work better for everyone involved. And don't worry about buying the books! I've got a lot of PDFs that you can view to make characters and such.

Fight Night at the We-Won't-Rob-You

West Marches / Living World
One world and a big pool of players, but no fixed party - whoever signs up that week is who plays.
Do you like combat? Boss fights? Teamwork? Character builds? Ever done raiding in an MMO and thought, "I like this, but I wish it were instead a series of bespoke D&D encounters"? If you answered yes, then you might enjoy Fight Night at the We-Won't-Rob-You! What Is Fight Night? Think of it like a cross between a board game night and MMO progression raiding. A series of challenging encounters, one for each level. Reset and die without consequence. Beat the fight, get loot, level up, challenge the next one! Refit your character build between attempts, and build a strategy to conquer the boss! Create multiple characters to maximize your flexibility. Re-run defeated fights with additional difficulty modifiers. Challenge a gauntlet of every fight in a row and prove your mastery! Sessions are scheduled ad-hoc; a bot pings the discord each day asking for signups. If enough people are in, we run an attempt that night! What Fight Night Is NOT Outside of a vague framing device, there isn't really any story or roleplay to Fight Night; we're using roleplaying game rules to run a tactics game. Your character sheet is functionally just a statblock. Before You Apply Does that all strike your fancy? Great! First though, let us temper your enthusiasm. First, note that this is being run with D&D 4E. Not everybody's cup of tea, we know. Don't worry if you lack 4e experience; that was the case for the majority of us, and we're happy to teach you. That said, do be aware that you'd be entering the game partway through its run (Level 7) and so you'll need to be prepared for a lot of front-loaded information and complexity. Second, please don't apply if you're racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. We have players across a spectrum of race, ethnicity, gender expression, and sexuality. If that's going to be a problem for you, even a little bit, you're best off scrolling on. I promise you that you won't get along with us, we won't get along with you, and it'll be a miserable time for everyone. Lastly, you'll have to bear with the fact that we're a bit protective over our little group, and so we're going to exercise some pickiness when it comes to new additions. We can't promise to invite everyone who expresses interest. Sorry. If that all works for you, then feel free to reach out. You can DM me here, or on discord (username Sethenn). Come join the fight!

**Edge of the Empire:** Edge of the Empire is an excellent TTRPG which uses a unique dice system to help aid in the story telling. It is part of the larger Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars RPG, a collection of 3 interchangeable and mixable systems, which include Age of Rebellion, Edge of the Empire and Force and Destiny. Set after the Battle of Yavin, at the height of the Galactic Civil War, Edge of the Empire focuses on the outlaws at the outskirts of the “civilized” Galactic Empire. Smugglers, Bounty Hunters, Thieves, Assassins, Frontier Doctors, Settlers and Local Politicians all seek to carve out a life for themselves at the furthest reaches of the galaxy. However even as the Rebel Alliance fights their uphill battle against the Empire, the Empire’s reach continues to grow. Will you learn to coexist with the Empire or hide from them? Perhaps even aid the growing Rebellion? Your group will have to chart the best path forward themselves! Mondays 8:00pm Eastern **Note in Regards to a Fresh Start:** As this has been a long term campaign so far, with a good amount of story/history for the characters, and a high experience level, we understand it may be offputting for potential new players. Because of that, we wish to make it clear that our priority is filling out the party with a group that has good chemistry and shared goals. To facilitate that, both the players and I are willing to start completely fresh, even if we love the narrative we have crafted so far. We had an idea for a new campaign that everyone likes although we are also willing to consider other options. The potential new campaign would start during the dying days of the Clone Wars. The party would be made up of Clone Troopers, Non-Clone Soldiers, perhaps a Jedi Padawan or two, and any other type of character who would be working closely with such a group. The idea is to have a few missions/arcs during those days of the Clone Wars, culminating in Order 66. Then we would have a time skip of about 3-5 years to the early days of the Empire where the players would describe/narrate what their characters have been up to from Order 66 to the current times. They will reunite and begin to work together to carve out a living under the new regime, whether that be by joining in early rebel activity, or drifting to the underworld on the outskirts of the Empire. Any Jedi Padawan characters would lose their lightsabers in this time skip, and have it be a long term goal to build/reacquire one if they wish. The time skip would also include a small XP bonus. Either way, we look forward to meeting some new players, and figuring out what kind of campaign we wish to play together! **The Campaign So Far** This is a long term campaign with no planned end. The group has played through the introductory adventures "Escape from Mos Shuuta" followed by "Long Arm of the Hutt", then “The Jewel of Yavin". They have most recently finished "Beyond the Rim”, one of the bigger adventures for the system. In between major adventures they have hunted bounties, raced swoop bikes and smuggled the Corellian Shuffle. The immediate future is wide open, with no plans for any major adventures for a while, as we focus on the consequences of the character’s actions throughout the campaign and deal with aspects of their backstories. The party includes Cashar Brut who is a Falleen Smuggler/Pilot and Ruug the Shistavanen Bounty Hunter. ## The Game: -New Players are welcomed and will be assisted, whether you are new to Roll20 or the Star Wars RPG! -Although the Star Wars RPG uses proprietary dice, its mechanics are often quite intuitive. Our group has been playing since Apr. 2025, and at this point we feel comfortable enough to bring in and teach new players. **No experience required!** -Despite being a major fan of battlemaps and tactical combat in other systems, I often find that Theater of the Mind works exceptionally well with the Star Wars RPG. Battlemaps will still show up for some more involved combats, but many can be resolved in a short amount of the time with no visual aids necessary. -New characters will start at the same experience level as the party. Star Wars RPG has a very interesting character building system that does not rely on levels, but purchasing skills and talents with accumulated XP, with easy access to different character classes to branch out! Currently at 805 earned XP. -We will have a split Session 0/New Player introduction session, to help new players learn the game and help them fit in with the party. This session will be free. -Sessions will last 3 hours. -Discord for Voice Chat. ## Your DM: -I started with TTRPGs by running 5th Edition D&D. In 2019, I transitioned into running paid games as a full time job, and have been running 3-5 games a week since. I started running the Star Wars RPG in Apr. 2025 as previously mentioned. -Available nearly 24/7, excluding my sleep hours. Always willing to answer questions. -Good Connection/Headset/Microphone. ## What is expected of you? -Respect is a must and I will not tolerate player conflicts, PVP, or any type of disrespectful behavior towards the other players. No graphic sexual content. Players who violate this Social Contract will be removed with no refund. -Be on time, as this is basic respect for myself and the others. Missing a session will be allowed with prior notice, with no charge. Sessions will still go forward as long as we have 3 players and no major plot moments. Players who have issues with attendance will be removed with no refund. -Have a reasonable quality microphone (be intelligible), Discord and use push to talk. (I can assist you in setting this up). ## Pay to Play: -20$ Per Player Per Session (Excluding Session 0), paid via Paypal in advance. **Session 0 is free. Please reach out via DM to join or with any questions**

Quest for the Frozen Flame PF2e

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
**Quest for the Frozen Flame:** In the brutal tundra of the Realm of the Mammoth Lords, only the hardiest folk have what it takes to withstand unsparing weather, track down big game, and fight back hostile followings. The Broken Tusk following has survived another winter, but a new year just began, and signs of danger foretell a year unlike any before. Unless their newest party of scouts can secure a safe route through the wilds, saber-toothed beasts, warmongering rivals, and the ever-looming possibility of natural disaster all threaten to end an ancient people’s legacy. Will the Broken Tusks succumb to the elements and surrender to their rivals? Or will you guide your following to glory and reclaim a stolen birthright? ## The Game: -We will hold a Session 0 to get to know each other, and work on character creation/party formation. **Session 0 will be free**. -New Players are welcomed and will be assisted, whether you are new to Foundry or Pathfinder 2e! -“In this campaign for Pathfinder Second Edition, you’ll lead your fellow hunter-gatherers across primordial lands, face off against dinosaurs and megafauna, and unearth the legendary past of your ancient people.” -Quest for the Frozen Flame Player's Guide -Quest for the Frozen Flame is a stone-age adventure with a more structured 1st and 3rd act and a hex-crawl heavy second act. It has some flaws as written, mainly due to scarcity of loot which I will be directly adressing. -The unique setting/atmosphere lends itself to roleplaying and challenges not normally seen in your typical medievel high-fantasy, which should be a nice break for those with standard setting burnout. -**The Adventure will take you from level 1 to 11.** -I consider myself skilled at running interesting/challenging combat. I will customize the difficulty of the combat based on the party’s wishes/composition. -Sessions will last around 3 hours. -Discord for Voice Chat. -The Foundry Module for this adventure will be used. ## Your DM: -7 Year’s Experience Running DND 5th Edition. 5 years as a professional DM. Currently Run: 5e, PF2e, SF2e, Star Wars FFG. -Available nearly 24/7, excluding my sleep hours. Always willing to answer questions. ## What is expected of you? -Respect is a must and I will not tolerate player conflicts, PVP, or any type of disrespectful behavior towards the other players.
