Description

Time: 17:00 GMT, Sundays, Weekly Slots: 2 System: Runequest Glorantha Style: Voice, Discord, Foundry VTT Duration: 3-5 hours (tops) You finally cornered the bandits, their leader, a tusk rider in golden armor, whispers something under his breath, a quiet prayer to the sun god Yelm as he draws his weapon, and you watch the metal heat up before the blade bursts into flames, a similar enchantment taking the other bandits arms. This will not be an easy fight... I don't blame you If you've never heard of Runequest, and no worries, I'm more than willing to teach! But imagine a high fantasy bronze age setting almost as old as the forgotten realms. With a significant focus on danger, community, and gods. Every character in runequest chooses a cult, which serves as the origin of their magic. Which also means almost everyone is capable of magic. From random bandit number 5, to an awakened deer that figured out how to pray. The road to earning your place among Gloranthas legendary heroes will not be an easy, or quick one, but it will be a fun one. In terms of game structure it will be less of one singular long plot and more several isolated 2-5 session adventures, with a healthy cast of recurring NPC's, and lots of player backstory content mixed in. "You remember our venerable house, opulent and imperial. It is a festering abomination! I beg you. Return home; claim your birthright, and deliver our family from the ravenous, clutching shadows of the Darkest Dungeon." Hi everyone I'm looking for 4-6 players for a Darkest Dungeon themed old school D&D campaign. I'll be running it through Old School Essentials (A repackaging of Basic/Expert D&D) with some fairly heavy homebrewing to make it fit the source material (Stress, Quirks, Unique Heroes) It should be fairly accessible to anyone, regardless of your experience with D&D or old school play. The overall focus will be on delving the dungeons of the region, recovering artefacts, amassing wealth and getting powerful enough to finally defeat the evil deep beneath the manor. Currently looking at Sunday 6pm CET / 12pm EDT with some room for flexibility based on replies. Play will be on Discord. Open to any enjoyer of Darkest Dungeon, regardless of experience.
