Description

10-15 sessions/ $20 per session - Saturday Evenings Log in to view Welcome to Silks, a Blades in the Dark campaign where you play crooked lawyers fighting dirty in the grimy courtrooms of Duskvol. Your firm specializes in the underhanded tactics that win cases: tampering with evidence, threatening witnesses, corrupting juries, and delivering theatrical courtroom performances that would make any Silkshore actor jealous. Whether you're defending gangsters from Ironhook Prison, prosecuting high-profile criminals, or navigating inheritance disputes in the spectral Ghost Court, you'll use flashbacks, heists, and social manipulation to stack the deck in your favor before the magistrate bangs their gavel. Each session centers around a case, with the courtroom serving as your battleground. You'll roll engagement, present evidence (real or fabricated), cross-examine witnesses, and use competing clocks to determine who wins. Between arguments, you'll flash back to key moments: breaking into a records office, convincing a witness to change their testimony, or planting incriminating documents in your opponent's files. This game is perfect for players who enjoy social intrigue, creative problem-solving, and morally gray characters. If you like courtroom dramas, heist movies, and the dark Victorian aesthetic of Blades in the Dark, you'll feel right at home. We'll embrace the game's mechanics of flashbacks, devil's bargains, and collaborative worldbuilding to create memorable legal battles where the truth is whatever you can make the jury believe. Come prepared for sharp wit, dirty tricks, and the satisfaction of winning cases through cunning rather than justice.

What Hides in Mountain Stone

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello everyone, Alex here! I am a new GM on Start Playing, and I am looking for players for my mini campaign. I am hoping to become a full-time GM and figured this was the best way to start. A bit about me: I've been a GM for 7 years. I am an artist, illustrator, animator, voice actor, and writer. And I absolutely love roleplaying!  Game Premise: In the world of Anangnibi (pronounced Ah-nahng-nee-bee) there looms a threat to the local towns and villages outside of a major port city called Agonan Mizhakwad (pronounced Ah-goh-nahn Meez-hahk-wahd). Reports of attacks have become more frequent and many have claimed to see a flying creature up within the mountains. Maps indicate that there is an old fort that has been empty for quite some time in the area. The local authorities have put up a reward for heroes to go and investigate the area and find out what has been happening. You as the heroes will find yourselves walking into the mountains to find the old hold, and once you get there, you'll find out that you have gotten far more than you bargained for. Who, or what, awaits within the halls of old abandoned stone? And will you survive the secrets within? Or will you be claimed by death much the same as those of the poor raided villages? Death lurks here, cold and indifferent like the sitting stone. You will need your strength and wit if you want to survive. So be prepared to face the challenges and discover the mystery of what hides within the mountain stone. Game Price: $25 per person  Session count: 1-3 sessions Session length: 4-5 hours Player Character Level: 5 System: D&D 5E Sourcebooks accepted: PHB 14, XGE, TCE, VGM (Other sourcebooks are open to discussion) Homebrew and 3rd Party: Open to discussion More information and details about the game can be found here on the Start Playing post: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmt21mabu0037l404tjn7c32u?ref=cmrmikhi800frl704k6ca84nl  Content warning: While I am a newbie player friendly DM/GM, the game I am running is a DEADLY game with a DEADLY dungeon; your characters have a high chance of dying. Please keep that in mind for this game. If you are not okay with character death, this may not be the game for you.  If you have any additional questions, please feel free to message me, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.  You can also get some more general information about me as a GM, as well as read previous player reviews through my Start Playing GM Profile here:  https://startplaying.games/gm/alexthedmpanda Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

The world of Phelun is an old one that has seen many conflicts throughout its history. While times seem peaceful, beneath the surface there are whisperings of the Dragon Queen stirring within her prison, strange events occurring upon the continent of Ines, and adventure awaiting upon the lost continent of Asoris. This is an 18+ only server that is a mix of go at your own pace pbp and west marches living world elements.  https://discord.gg/X8dFsNrjBw This is a new Server that has been worked on by one DM for 3 months. It currently features the following:     PbP forums for those who prefer slower RPs.     Living world channels where characters can explore the lands or meet one another in real time in the pub.     DM run Tables. (We are looking for more DMs to help run tables)     Mining, gathering, fishing, and exploration through Avrae commands (commands are ready, but random tables need to be filled out more for variety).     Random in game daily events (not tied to irl days, and still being worked on).     Market to buy items.     Guilds (will need leaders).     Job command to earn coin and a living world channel to RP the work in. (currently being reworked)     Custom Drinking command for the pub.     Player housing.
