Adventures in Forgotten Realms

Just a bit of a passion project given how there's not many if any other servers of my liking. A custom world setting that's still growing (Mainly because i'm not a writer...but i do try) with a few stipulations that aren't like most other WM servers. First order of business is that it's only rolled stats with at least one forced negative stat somewhere in every set, like it better that way. As well, it's a lvl 1 start, not a fan of lvl 3 or higher starts so I thought i'd tap into those who like starting at the very bottom of the ladder. The other major ruling is that PvP is more laxed as the only real condition is that you don't just be a mass player killer for no reason, however wanting to knock someone out for commiting an atrocity would be fair game even if they otherwise out of character say no, another major reason as to why I made the server is being forced to act out of character due to OOC discussions. The world of Phelun is an old one that has seen many conflicts throughout its history. While times seem peaceful, beneath the surface there are whisperings of the Dragon Queen stirring within her prison, strange events occurring upon the continent of Ines, and adventure awaiting upon the lost continent of Asoris. It currently features the following:     PbP forums for those who prefer slower RPs.     Living world channels where characters can explore the lands or meet one another in real time in the pub.     DM run Tables. (We are looking for more DMs to help run tables)     Mining, gathering, fishing, and exploration through Avrae commands (commands are ready, but random tables need to be filled out more for variety).     Random in game daily events (not tied to irl days, and still being worked on).     Market to buy items.     Guilds (will need leaders).     Job command to earn coin and a living world channel to RP the work in. (currently being reworked)     Custom Drinking command for the pub.     Player housing.

If you are a fan of myth retellings such as EPIC: the Musical, A Thousand Ships, The Song of Achilles, come sit by the fire. Some notes on the setting: •  The gods are present but distracted — drawing their eye may bring you greatness, or ruin. Or maybe you'll be drawn to the Mysteries instead? •  No prophecy protects you: your choices ripple outward, and could alter canon myths and even the course of the war itself. •  All stories are welcome, this table is LGBTQ+ friendly. •  New to tabletop, Daggerheart, or Greek myth? This table is beginner-friendly. And no Classics degree required, just curiosity. EU-friendly hours (evenings except weekends where I can do mornings or early afternoons) or US- friendly (late afternoons/early evening). Sessions can be weekly or bi-weekly through StartPlaying.com, at 20$ per session. About me: - I've been a Dungeon Master for almost 8 years and I have plenty of experience in guiding new players. I prefer Theater of the Mind with minimal VTT support. - Your story will matter and I love a long, narrative background I can weave into the main story. - I do character voices!  - I also do character artworks :D Safety tools: Session 0, Lines and Veils, Consent checklist and X cards. I prefer to be honest in advance: Echoes of Fate draws from real life in addition to myth. Slavery was present in Ancient Greece, as was mysogyny, war and violence. You will be able to challenge these in-game through your character, or ask me to avoid mentioning them and I will do my best to do so.
