Description

Thirty years ago, the second Death Star was destroyed, giving way for the formation of the New Republic. Duro, a world surrounded by orbital shipyards and ruled by corporate interests, now sits in the middle of the cold war between the Imperial Remnant and the New Republic. You are sent to provide support to an ambassador who seeks to find a peaceful resolution to the occupation. The chances of success are slim, but your characters soon find themselves in the middle of a conspiracy involving the formation of a new Dark Side religion. Are you a Jedi, bright eyed and ready to take on the world? A scoundrel, ready for an easy paycheck only to be forced into the role of a hero? Are you a droid, capable of feats of excellence beyond organic capabilities? The galaxy is full of possibilities for you to make your mark on the world! This game is meant to be an introduction to Star Wars Saga edition (with a few house rules to help an older system feel more modern). No prior experience with the system is necessary, though a love of Star Wars is appreciated. This takes place in a modified Legends Continuity to allow for players to be members of the New Republic and Luke’s new Jedi Order. Important Star Wars events and canon characters will NOT be the focus. This is a game about adventure, character growth, and story opportunities, not lore and living in someone else’s shadow. Players will begin play at level 1, but quickly level past that. The main reason for such a low level start is to help players learn the system. Saga Edition resembles D&D 3rd edition in many ways, with updates to make it more functional. PCs are not likely to be equally capable in combat, but the system’s focus is less focused on war gamey aspects than D&D and Pathfinder. A character who thrives in diplomacy and skill will find themselves an invaluable member of the party as healing is slow, difficult, and costly. Saga edition is also perhaps the most multiclass friendly d20 type system, with house rules to make it even more so. There is a lot of information, but as patient Game Master (Or Star Master HAH) I am willing to spend time to individually help PCs build their characters. What I require from you is a passion for the game, a desire to make characters that are fun to run FOR and to roleplay with your fellow players, and a willingness to fit the setting and vibe. This is not a game for fully evil characters or sith (this game is PERFECT for former darksiders however!) When messaging me, I request that you send me some ideas about your character, information about yourself as a player, and some of your favorite things about star wars! Games are every Tuesday, 6pm to 10pm EST. May the Force be with you!

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
So it took me longer than expected but i am finally getting stuff together for my own campaign. Maps and minis and stuff. I would prefer to have players who can commit to regular play but i can easily work with absences due to the nature of the campaign. I am still looking for around 60/40 roleplay/combat.  I am willing to do a short one or two session adventure in my setting if people want to feel things out first. I intend to rent out the private room for sessions. I don't know if this matters to people but I have 0 desire to use AI in any of my campaign so if that matters to you there you go. A summary of the setting and what's going on as relayed by Arius, the figure with the bow in the images:  Long ago, when gods ruled the land, and men sailed the sea, when the earth trembled and the sky broke, a great beast rose up in the shadows, and cast the world into perpetual twilight. As the shadows grew long, horrible monsters rose from them. For many long years, the gods fought against this darkness, but they struggled. They cast their holy light upon the beast, but the brighter it burned, the darker the shadows became.  Finally, in the year 482 of the common era, Lifskona, the goddess of the sun, queen of the heavens, made a deal with the men of the sea. They would be allowed dominion over the land, in exchange for driving the beasts away, so that the gods could direct their power towards their true foe. Man would be blessed with great magic to aid in this war.  Their attention no longer divided, the gods soon succeeded in binding their foe, and banishing him from the mortal realm, ending the long twilight. It was not so easy for man. Even with their new power, the tribes of the sea struggled to gain ground against the monsters we call the Drak.  What the gods percieved as a short conflict was a multigenerational war of attrition. Neither side gained ground and the fields of Flodlan ran red with blood.  It seemed the violence would never end. Many considered returning to the sea, and a happier world. It was only 20 years ago that the Namea appeared from the south to lend us their aid. Mysterious and wise, they turned the tide at the brink of defeat, and together with the men of the sea, pushed the Drak west into the desert.  Ram Anu, our king and the man who led us in that final push, rode back different. Nobody who rode with him will speak of what occurred.  6 years ago, the king rode out again, to end the Drak menace once and for all. He has never returned.  If that piques your interest, let me know. I know i've posted about this twice now. It's just taken a while to get things going.
