Recap Raven

Recap Raven

English
Subscription
Recap Raven is a Discord bot that records Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop roleplaying sessions and automatically transforms them into detailed, organised campaign notes. It is designed for groups that play over Discord and want to preserve everything that happened withoutasking a player or Game Master to spend the session taking notes. Description With the table’s consent, Recap Raven joins a Discord voice channel and records the game while everyone plays normally. When the session ends, it transcribes the conversation and creates a structured, player-safe recap covering important story events, character decisions, NPC interactions, locations, discoveries, combat encounters, items, clues, quest progress, memorable moments, and unresolved story threads. Recap Raven also creates private notes and preparation context for the GM. Player-facing information is kept separate from hidden knowledge, future plans, secrets, and other GM-only material. These private tools help the GM remember improvised NPCs and locations, review important player choices, track outstanding hooks, and prepare for the directions the party might take next. Every completed session contributes to a searchable campaign memory. Players and GMs can ask questions such as who possessed a particular item, what an NPC promised the party, where an event occurred, which quests remain unresolved, or what happened during a missed session. Recap Raven answers using evidence from the original session transcript, making it possible to verify where campaign information came from. The bot is suitable for long-running campaigns, short adventures, and groups whose session notes have become scattered across Discord messages, documents, notebooks, and memories. Its catch-up summaries also help absent players return to the game without requiring another member of the group to explain the entire previous session. Recap Raven works with Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, Daggerheart, Call of Cthulhu, and other TTRPG systems played through Discord. It allows players to concentrate on roleplaying and storytelling while giving the whole table a campaign record that becomes more useful with every session.

TomeHaven: RPG Bookshelf and Reader for PDFs and EPUBs

English
Free
TomeHaven is a PDF and EPUB reader made specifically for tabletop roleplaying game players, and for anyone who wants to proudly show off their collection. It displays your books beautifully, helps you organise and find them, and lets you read them smoothly and sharply. Players can organise their books into collections and sections, spread them across multiple bookcases, and choose themes from warm wooden shelves to glowing sci-fi displays. A Reading Room keeps open books together, ready to pick up where the last session ended. The reader is custom built for large, art-heavy RPG PDFs. Tabs keep several books open at once, making it easy to move between a core rulebook, an adventure and a supplement during play. Search, bookmarks, highlights, notes and two-page views help players find and keep track of what they need. For frequently used rules, TomeHaven’s binders collect cut-outs from PDF pages alongside written notes. Tables, spells, stat blocks and campaign reminders can sit together, with picture cards linking back to their original book and page. The library and reader are free. An optional TomeHaven Pro subscription adds more binders, more bookcase themes and shelf customisation, search across the whole library, home-screen widgets and expanded reading statistics. No account is needed, there are no ads, and TomeHaven doesn’t upload players’ books. TomeHaven is made by KodaWorks. The screenshots show a fictional demo library with openly licensed, human-made artwork. See store page art credits for art credits.

Archivist

Archivist

English
Subscription
Archivist is a TTRPG note taker without the busywork. It automatically builds recaps and campaign memory from Discord, audio, or a GM's notes: less admin, more story. Groups record live with the Archivist Discord bot or import audio, transcripts, play-by-post threads, or raw notes. Minutes later, Archivist delivers a session recap and updates a searchable compendium of characters, items, locations, and factions. Players and GMs can ask Archivist, the campaign chatbot, about anything that happened, right from Discord. Story highlights, player quotes, Hero Awards, trading cards, and one-click Session Handouts capture the best moments. It works with every TTRPG system, includes unlimited player seats, and never saves audio or trains on campaign data.

VVD (Vivid)
Tools & Platforms

VVD (Vivid)

English
Spanish
VVD is a visually driven world-building and campaign management platform launched in 2024. Created by an independent developer, it positions itself as a streamlined, "distraction-free" alternative to complex wikis like World Anvil. In 2025, the platform gained massive popularity on social media for its "clean UI" and its strict No-AI pledge, promising that all art and assets on the platform are created by human artists.  Description VVD is built for the "sparks of inspiration." It uses a card-based system to organize NPCs, locations, and magic items, allowing users to connect them visually through an interactive graph. Unlike traditional folder-heavy organizers, VVD feels like a digital corkboard or a personalized Wikipedia that prioritizes aesthetics and ease of use. It is a web-based tool, meaning it requires an internet connection, but it is highly optimized for mobile devices, making it a favorite for GMs who need to jot down world-building notes on the go.

Loreify
Tools & Platforms

Loreify

English
Dungeons & Dragons
Loreify is a session note-taker for Dungeons & Dragons groups. Someone at the table records the game, and Loreify writes up what happened, so nobody has to stop playing to take notes. There are three ways to get audio in. At an in-person table, record in a phone or laptop browser. Online, add the Loreify Discord bot and type /loreify-record in the voice channel, then /loreify-stop when the session ends. Groups can also upload a recording made on any other device. Notes are usually ready 5 to 10 minutes after the session. Each write-up has a recap, a timeline of events, the NPCs and locations that came up, quest and loot tracking, and memorable quotes. Loreify identifies who is speaking, so quotes and decisions stay attached to the right player. Over a campaign the notes add up to a searchable history and an interactive Lore Map linking characters, factions, places and items. The group can ask questions about its own campaign and get answers that cite the session notes. On Discord, notes are posted to the channel with a shareable link, and players without an account can read them. Transcription supports 14 languages. Loreify offers a 7-day free trial, then costs $15 a month or $120 a year; a Casual plan at $7 a month covers up to two sessions a month.

DexArcana
Tools & Platforms

DexArcana

English
Free
DexArcana is a set of free browser tools for Dungeon Masters, so there's nothing to install. Its Dungeon Master Screen keeps turn order, fog, dice rolls, notes and cue cards on one page during a session, and players don't see the Dungeon Master's notes. The screen also has a dice tray with d4 to d100, plus advantage and disadvantage on the d20, and encounter tables under Extras: roll one and the monster or NPC drops straight onto the open map. A soundboard and ambience layers are there too. The map builder lets a Dungeon Master lay down floors, walls, furniture and lighting to make a battle map without drawing skills. Fog and lights decide what players see, and maps can be exported as PNG or JSON. The world notebook links lore entries so places, people and factions stay connected. Players join from their own Player Screen, where they keep their sheet, the party list, chat and dice. Players need a free account to join. Every tool is free on every plan. Paid plans only add saving space: Dungeon Master is $5 a month and Guild is $12 a month. The free plan needs no card. It works for in-person tables using a second screen and for online games.
