Tyler Tyler

Description

Player: Tyler — Tactical, Reliable, Team‑Focused I’m a mechanically competent, tactically minded D&D player who thrives in structured, combat‑focused campaigns. I play with intention, keep pacing smooth, and help elevate the table without ever stealing spotlight. My style is midline control/skirmisher: smart positioning, tempo management, and teamwork‑driven play. I’m consistent, reliable, and low‑maintenance. I take notes, track details, and help reduce DM cognitive load. I avoid derailing scenes, support quieter players, and maintain table tone. My goal is simple: make the game fun, focused, and easy for everyone — especially the DM. Ideal campaigns:  Tactical combat, structured pacing, rules‑consistent tables, cooperative parties. Playstyle:

  • I enjoy combat, and prefer roleplaying combat and tactical strategies, not number chasing hitbot, i.e. I consider environment hazards, vantage points, tactical strategies, friendly-fire, action economy
  • I enjoy immersing in the DM's campaign" storyline and exploration (I tend not to derail from the storyline or cause mishap to the party & waste time, unless ofc, within the storyline)
  • I prefer an open-minded group, the players should be able to decide what they want to do, i.e. clerics not expected to become a healbot
  • I tend to put "restrictions" on my own character(s) to make the power feel earned (not given) & for enriching character story
  • I take notes, to lessen the burden on DM
Questions from me to DMs:
  • How do you rule combat? Do you play on a grid (I generally play battlefield control, and it's generally easier to "control" on a grid)?
  • What character level will the characters go up to at the end of the campaign? (I'm a late gamer, so if the campaign doesn't reach late game capstone, I'll need to adjust my character ideas)
  • If any cost to join, please specify.
  • Are players expected to contribute anything on the game day, i.e. bring own dice, bring snacks etc
  • Do you allow your players to homebrew species/background/classes/subclasses (I'm not against)? If so, are they balanced compared to the published content?
