Description

I have openings in my BECMI Campaign, Saturdays at 4pm EST on Roll20, with Discord for voice. We use the Rules Cyclopedia for reference (with a little homebrew), and roll stats down the line in game. Characters start at 3rd Level, demi-humans at 2nd.
  • Beneath the dimming boughs of the Dymrak, the weary company moved with haste. They had scarcely escaped the cavern—its reeking tunnels alive with rats and goblins, and the thunderous wrath of a lumbering ogre—when misfortune struck anew. One among them now lay senseless, stricken by a venom that burned through his blood like winter’s cold fire. They bore him as gently as haste allowed, yet his silence weighed upon them more heavily than any burden.
Yet the company hastened on, for behind them lay darkness and peril, and before them only a slender thread of hope. Suskiskyn was still many leagues distant, but there dwelt an elder woman whose knowledge of healing lore was said to be deep as old roots. To reach her in time was their one chance to draw the poison’s fangs from their companion’s failing heart. And there, too, awaited the chieftain Pyotyr, to whom they had questions about the fabled place of Zitaqa, known only in stories parents told their children. Whether they would reach Suskiskyn before the venom claimed its prey, none could say. The Dymrak is slow to yield passage, and many have found their fate woven into its roots. So they pressed forward beneath the darkling canopy, hoping that dawn’s light would find them beyond the forest’s grasp, and not swallowed by it forever.

Rise of the runelords

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
Hey peoples, I’m looking for a few more players for my Pathfinder group. If you don’t know Pathfinder is an alternate system to Dungeons and Dragons that was released between DnD 3.5 and 4th edition. It’s a competitor to DnD as a whole. It has a lot more number than 5e but has more mechanical and creative freedom. I have 3 players at this time and I’m looking for 3 more. I’m trying to get a healthy mix of people from different backgrounds to keep the roleplay interesting. Ideally I would like men, women, and any in between as well, as people closer to my age so people anywhere from 21-29. This isn’t just for playing DnD this meant to also form long term friendships as well. I am open to new and experienced players, the big thing is being open minded and respectful towards other people and players, it is a game at the end of the day as we are all just trying to have some fun. The first couple of sessions will be at emerald tavern in central Austin but then afterwards I would be hosting at my place in SouthWest Austin so if that’s too far of a drive for once every other week, I get it, but it’s cheaper to host at my place than rent a table every couple of weeks. Players will not need to provide anything, I have maps, pencils, markers, books, character sheets, and dice. The only thing you will need is to be able to make one session every other Friday for a few hours. Also I have a Husky so if animal allergies are a thing you may not want to reach out either. LTo be clear, this is not meant to be discriminatory in any way, and this not meant to be a dating thing either. So please don’t treat it that way. Anyways I hope to hear from some of you, please reach out or comment if you have questions, I am always available to answer questions, even if you are not interested in playing.

And in this city, no one holds uncontested power. Ancient factions compete for influence in the shadows. 🩸 The Camarilla offers stability, tradition, and protection — if you accept their authority. 🩸 The Anarchs promise freedom and power for those bold enough to take it. 🩸 The Ministry whispers of faith, temptation, and liberation from the lies of vampire society. None of them trust each other. All of them are watching the newest vampires in the city. And now something has gone wrong. A feral vampire begins killing in your hunting grounds, threatening the Masquerade and drawing dangerous attention. Unfortunately, the blame is falling on your coterie. Handle it poorly, and you’ll be dismissed as reckless fledglings. Handle it well? 🩸 The city might finally start to notice you. The Chronicle You begin as newly embraced vampires, still learning the rules of the undead world. The opening story introduces the dangers of unlife — hunting, secrecy, faction politics, and the struggle to hold onto your humanity. After that initial crisis resolves, the direction of the chronicle opens up based on your choices. Your coterie will decide: 🩸 Which factions you trust — or betray 🩸 What territory you claim as your domain 🩸 Which allies you cultivate 🩸 Which enemies you create 🩸 What kind of vampires you ultimately become Some coteries pursue power and influence. Some fight to remain independent in a city full of predators. Some struggle to hold onto what little humanity they have left. The city reacts to all of it. Allies remember. Enemies plot. Power shifts. What to Expect: 🩸 Political intrigue between rival vampire factions 🩸 Territory and domain conflicts 🩸 Character-driven storytelling 🩸 Personal horror and moral dilemmas 🩸 A reactive city shaped by your choices Every character will have personal goals, relationships, and storylines that influence the chronicle. New Players Welcome --No prior experience with Vampire: The Masquerade is required. Your characters begin as newly turned vampires, meaning you’ll learn the world of the undead at the same time your character does. Experienced players will find plenty of room for political maneuvering, faction intrigue, and long-term consequences. Have a vampire concept you’re excited about? Message me! I’m happy to help shape characters that fit the city, the factions, and the story we’ll build together.

Cadaver Resurrected (or, the World Without Dying)

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
Put the premise of 2023's Oppenheimer into the body-horror genre and add the apocalypse: welcome to this homebrew campaign! Trifling with the afterlife created a world where the dead have nowhere to go, and have nothing to separate them from the living. Desperate to survive, kingdoms across the realm have consolidated into single capitals, each self-sufficiently sustaining whole populations—until resources run low. Enter a character-driven tale teetering along political tensions, espionage, social status, omnipresent threats, and above all, control over your body! For this campaign, I’m looking for a party of 5 to 6 people (8 people maximum) interested in a continental, discovery-focused narrative. Meeting times for sessions will depend on everyone’s availability and pre-existing commitments. Discord will be used for whole-group and direct messaging. Our initial sessions will be for deep-dives into the story and worldbuilding, then for party composition and character creations; personal backstories will be developed separately, though prompts and helpful considerations will be released! This campaign uses Foundry vtt, but no costs or fees are required otherwise. This will be a horror- and dark-fantasy-based campaign that relies heavily on consequence and conflict. Obviously, death has a substantial role in this story, so players should not expect to get comfortable for too long. That said, I’m not a DM too fond of permanently killing off PCs on a whim, so let this be of some comfort! Your characters will enter the campaign through the urban and inner-city settings, where you will get a taste of the apocalyptic, survivalist lifestyle common throughout the realm. The story will begin in one of the six major capitals, each with their own agendas and allegiances and rivalries (all of which I will delineate in our initial sessions). Major themes include espionage and political conflicts (often turning into militaristic endeavors and advances), not to mention the overarching thread of escaping an afterlife spillover! Below are some concepts and terms worth familiarizing your character with: The Recrudescence—the day when the afterlife entered the material plane. The exact date is unknown, but most of the realm learned of the afterlife spillover by the end of the summer season. The Shared Sea—the body of water connecting all parts of the realm. The landmass can be visualized as a giant horseshoe or a ring, the middle of which is all water/ocean (hence, the ‘Shared’ Sea). The Storm—principal and largest (and most feared) cluster of afterlife spirits; most easily depicted as a colossal hurricane bouncing from city to city along the Shared Sea. Wandering Spirits—souls/spirits that once belonged to a deceased creature, now searching for a new host (i.e., the body of a living creature);—includes both the souls within Storm and individual or grouped Displaced. Displaced—wandering spirits not part of the Storm. Displaced spirits and the activity thereof attract other Displaced, hence why people are afraid of drawing any attention. Jumpscares—In the event that a creature dies, other adjacent creatures may undergo a jumpscare, during which their spirits (of the living creatures) eject from their host bodies as if being displaced. Jumpscares do not result from displacement, but rather from the death of a host body. For example, if a character kills one creature in a group, the rest of that group may experience jumpscares and have their spirits ejected. Every living creature has the capacity for one soul (without amalgamating, turning malignant, or ascending). A displaced can steal your body and eject your original soul, which in turn becomes displaced. Finally, wandering spirits cannot linger in place or around the creatures whose bodies they failed to assimilate!  If any of this interests you, visit the interest form below to (a) get a more thorough view of what this campaign seeks and (b) further indicate your interest in this grandiose adventure! - https://forms.gle/xn585Qo94JxRZx6F9
