Description

The Pitch: We’re a long-running group of 5 friends (4+ years together) wrapping a 3-year campaign and spinning up a new one in a custom Fantasy Ancient Greco-Roman world. Think Mount & Blade vibes: player-driven, factional politics, contracts, sieges, and hard choices—balanced with character-rich roleplay. You’ll help found a mercenary company, choose patrons and enemies, and shape the map and fates. The game will be quite deadly and players are unable to be magic users. System is Mythic D100 (no prior experience needed if you learn fast). We prize proactive players who can roleplay confidently, work as a team, and roll with the punches—then laugh about it after. Quick Facts: System: Mythic D100 (homebrew setting, homebrew cultures/races) Style: Player-driven sandbox; combat-forward and RP-heavy Party Size: 5 existing players + recruiting 1 (total 6) Schedule: Due to player Scheduling being tricky, We have a complex schedule of running 3 x Thursday evenings, followed by 2 x Tuesday evenings, and then either skipping a week or finding an off-day to play, 6pm UK / 7pm CET, 4–6 hours Cadence: Weekly; Starts Wednesady 14th January 2026. No weekends: Sat/Sun unavailable Format: Voice on Discord (mic required); Roll20 Group: Mixed British/French/American; dark humor welcome, mature boundaries, table safety respected What You’re Signing Up For: Player-led goals: Choose contracts and allegiances; your decisions drive the war map. Tactical combat: Phalanxes, skirmishes, sieges, naval actions, monster hunts. Political play: Oaths, favors, betrayals, patronage, and city-state intrigue. Meaningful loss/impact: Scars, promotions, rivalries; the world reacts. Characterful RP: We love in-character scenes, downtime ambitions, and social maneuvering. What We Expect (Non-Negotiables): Reliable weekday availability (you can try to push which day works for you; we often land on Thursday due to player scheduling, but tends to change days each week). Solid mic and stable connection. Team player who contributes, listens, and keeps table vibes positive. Comfort with both combat and RP. Open mind for mature themes handled respectfully (war, politics, moral gray). Learn-the-system attitude if new to Mythic D100. If you can only do 1–2 fixed evenings a week, you’ll likely miss sessions. We need flexible weekday availability. Bonus points for those who try to voice-act. (The rest of us try). Activity in the group discord. (We want players who are able to communicate throughout the week on scheduling and to socialise a bit.) Onboarding & Vetting: We’ve had mixed recruitment experiences. To protect your time and ours, we’ll: Chat on Discord, figure out if we are right for one another, and if we’re oversubscribed, run a short one-shot tryout to confirm fit (table culture > raw mechanics). Tech & Content Voice: Discord; cameras optional Tools: Roll20 + theatre-of-the-mind as fits the scene (we’ll brief you) Mature Themes: The campaign will likely touch on topics that were present through history. That being said as the DM I have no interest in pushing awful things into the faces of players, though if players pursue topics I will not shy away from them. Common sense applies generally. Setting: Homebrew Greco-Roman era fantasy, based on history but far from reality. A new world with new lands and factions. Expect oaths, honor, patronage, and gritty logistics with mythic edges. Why You Might Love This: You enjoy agency and consequence-heavy choices. You enjoy deep, gritty tales of heroism and woe, exciting adventures and epic battles. You like a company-level identity (banners, discipline, logistics) and personal arcs. You want a long-term table with adults who show up prepared and in good spirits, with good humour and respect for one another. Still Interested? Then please send me a DM with your discord information and we will discuss further to find if there if we are a good fit for one another. Unfortunately we won't be able to take everyone but I will do my best to not waste anyone's time.

Looking for new players for shadowdark RPG games in Keswick,Cumbria.  I have an established gaming group and am looking to expand session frequency through additional players Group is new player friendly Shadowdark is a rules-lite d20 system with OSR vibes. Open to other game systems in the future. Current casual  campaign is a west marches style setup where each session an expedition party leaves a central base to explore the world through rumours and previous expedition logs , each session ends with surviving party members returning to base.  Looking for players wanting to play sessions between weekly and monthly cadence, If is enough players available on a day(3+) then I will run a session/expedition.

Warhammer Fantasy RPG 5th Edition

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Planning to run a campaign eventually with WFRP next year but planning a few oneshots in Oct/Nov/Dec. Will be using Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 5th edition (only just released) I hope To find some like minded players or just to have a oneshot laugh with new people and maybe bring some people to the game. Beginners more than welcome (some of my group are from DnD and new to Warhammer). If you’re interested drop me a message and tell me a bit about you. For the oneshots I will likely make a load of varied characters with enough choice that there will be something you want to play. This is so that we can get straight into it and learn the rules as we go. Likely play on Weekends usually at Arcanists Tavern in Hackney. For those new to Warhammer: it’s a more grim and more perilous world, set in the Human empire, you have a species: Human, dwarf, halfling, high elf, wood elf. Career: each career has 4 tiers and the idea is you progress in this (or swap to a more appealing one) you may start as a Grave robber but end up as Indiana Jones/Lara Croft type. No game breaking abilities but powerful nonetheless. A bit about me: in my 40s. Group is 30-40s but anyone welcome. I’ve run WFRP as a kid (1st Ed) and as an adult have run 2nd edition. I also play in two DnD 5e campaigns and have DMd a 5e campaign. I plan to go back to Warhammer, love the setting and find the lower power and more brutal Warhammer appealing rather than the quick power jumps. Love to make the character important: the more you give the more you get back! Message me if interested or want more info.

$25 per session  https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmqzml1vr0065l304hx4nh6xy Step into the Sword Coast and carve your name into Faerun's forgotten history. Your character starts off in the city before heading to the quaint town of Phandalinguided by a cast of fully voiced locals, you'll race against time to find one of your oldest friends and uncover one of the region's oldest secrets. In a slow burn mystery campaign with high stakes, every decision matters. Your choices could mean your name is sung by every bard from Icewind Dale to Baldur's Gate, or it could mean this mystery buries you as another forgotten story. Your time in Faerun doesn't end once the BBEG has been dealt with. As a group you can decide what adventure follows next: Phandelver and Below, Dragon of Icespire Peak or a homebrew creation of my very own. -Play as any race/class combination from the official published works -Expect immersive sound and fully voiced cast of NPCs -Recorded sessions to look back on our adventure -Free session 0 and additional GM time if needed
