Description

.✦ ݁˖ Hey everyone! :D .✦ ݁˖ I’m Joween and I’m part of a group of six players (though realistically usually around four consistent players, with two being a bit more on-and-off) currently looking for a DM for a long-term D&D campaign. We’re a very roleplay-heavy group and are specifically looking for a DM who enjoys character interaction, story development, relationship-building between PCs, and immersive worlds. We can also do well in combat- so we aren’t looking to avoid it completely either. We enjoy tension and serious moments mixed in with humor and lighthearted scenes. A bit about us: Ages range from early 20s to early 30s 2 girls and 4 guys Players from Europe (4), North America (1), and Turkey (1) Friendly, welcoming, and LGBTQ+/minority friendly 4 experienced D&D players, 2 newer players who may occasionally need a little extra help with mechanics/spells/combat flow Scheduling: Fridays CEST 19:00–23:00 (7 PM–11 PM) We highly value consistency and weekly sessions Obviously real life comes first, so don’t worry. Communication above all. We’d like a campaign where sessions still happen as long as at least 4 players + the DM are available As for the campaign itself: We’re totally open to homebrew worlds and would genuinely love to hear about settings people have created Medieval fantasy vibes are preferred We mostly enjoy using classes/subclasses from the standard Player’s Handbook content (We wish to play version 5E (or 2014 rules) and not 5.5E (or 2024 rules) ) Homebrew content is perfectly fine with us as long as it fits the setting/tone We’d also really appreciate talking with the DM beforehand to see if everyone clicks well socially and creatively. A Session Zero where the DM introduces the world, tone, expectations, etc., would be ideal so everyone can see if it’s a good fit before committing long-term. Mainly, we’re just looking for someone patient, chill, tolerant, and interested in building a fun collaborative story together. We care a lot about good group chemistry and making sure everyone feels comfortable and included. So? Sounds interesting? Great!! Please answer a quick google forms. If you don’t want to click on random links (we love internet safety) just DM and I’ll send you the questions! Log in to view Thank you for reading and hope to hear from you soon~

MOONLIGHTERS: Adventures After Dark!

The City never sleeps, and as a Moonlighter, niether will you! MOONLIGHTERS is a high-stakes Dungeons and Dragons campaign set in a fantastical version of the modern day. The players take the role of Moonlighters - part time adventurers who operate after dark. Are you a college dropout Elf? A pixie attorney specialising in Magic Item law? A gnome taxi driver? Whatever your reason, while the city sleeps, you Adventure! Players will form an Adventuring Party, working the Adventuring gig economy in the Big City. They'll choose from available jobs, meet wacky clients, and co-operatively worldbuild and expand on the city with the DM in the process. Will you stage an elaborate heist at the Museum of Villainy? Fix a Wizard Duel for a down-and-out gambler? Explore the forgotten catacombs of the public graveyard? It's up to you! More here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmq7tyim4007bjs04bh2hluyy?q=moonlighters  Each of the player characters will have a day job, which will be narratively incorporated into the story. If your single dad Orc is an accountant by day. maybe they'll notice some irregularities in the companies magical accounts. If they're an exhausted sound technician for a bratty DJ, maybe they'll have some connections to the shadier side of the city. During a Session 0, we will all discuss the general tone of the game the players are in the mood for. Player characters could all be friends fresh out of college, living out a coming-of-age Jon Hughes movie (with oozes and werewolves), a group of reluctant oddballs flung together in a workplace comedy, or desperate individuals just trying to make ends meet in a brutal, unforgiving city. The choice will be communal, and can always evolve with the narrative. I will discuss privately what each player wants to see, and what they never want to see in game. I'll make sure everyone is on the same page without drawing attention to any individual player's needs. The games is $20 per session via Startplaying. Alternatively, you can message me if you would rather pay another way.

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
[Please note the game is being played on Tuesdays at 6pm-10pm BST] Greetings, I am searching for one player to join an ongoing 5e game that heavily focuses around Steinhardt's guide to the eldritch hunt. The first thing to preface is the timing, the day cannot be changed as all players currently have commitments on all other days of the week, the starting hour could however be moved by an hour if necessary. The next thing anyone interested in should be made aware of is how "existing" the group is. By mid September we will have been playing for a year, though as people have become unavailable we have had one person join us in January and he has been with us longer than he hasn't so I would hope the same could be the case for you. A few more pieces of housekeeping would be mentioning the current group size. We have been running a group of 5 players for the majority of the campaign with my general ethos being wanting to run unless we have 2 people missing, recently one of the players has had to move to bi weekly and another has left due to simply not being able to make time for the game anymore. That has left us with a part size of 3-4. Hence is the reason for this post, as I would like someone to make take that number back to a party size of 4-5. With that out of the way, what game would you actually be joining? This campaign uses a lot of material provided by Steinhardt's guide to the eldritch hunt a 5e supplement by Monkey Dm, along with pieces of the additional story Heresy of Steel, all smoothed over with a narrative created by myself and the players. You may take the role of a hunter, a tool against the tide of beasts that plague the once fair city of Luyarnha, one experimented on by the enigmatic Obitus Scholare to be a perfect tool, or perhaps just someone looking to save themselves and those they care about. Maybe you are one of the many magically inclined individuals, one who has their upmost faith in the radiant one, or perhaps you attempt to understand the great ones who's presence lingers through every shadow of the city, all while trying to not go mad yourself. You could even be an unfortunate traveller, one who broke the lockdown on the city and has now been dragged far from home. Steinhardt's wears it's Bloodborne inspiration on it's sleeve so you can expect a similar similar oppressive atmospheres, deadly beasts and accursed nightmares. Additionally you can expect a setting with the beginnings of modern technology reminiscent of the industrial revolution. You can expect trains, guns and the earliest of cameras, though most people still travel via horses. If you are at all interested please contact me here or using Discord to discuss further details.
