Description

We’re looking to recruit one additional player who is also interested in DMing to join our ongoing D&D 5e (2024 rules) campaign. Our current party is level 3 and most of the party has been playing together for a while even though this campaign is still early on, and we’re hoping to find someone who enjoys both sides of the table roleplaying, storytelling, and worldbuilding. The goal is to start with a one-shot run by the prospective DM to see if we’re a good fit together whenever you're ready to go. If things click, we’ll move into a long-term setup where our campaign and yours alternate Sundays. One week you play in the Academy of Guidance, the next week we explore the world you’ve created. Schedule & Format Day: Sundays Time: 17:00 CEST / 11:00 AM EST Session Length: 4 hours Rotation: Week 1: Academy of Guidance (you as a player) Week 2: Your campaign (you as DM) Platform: Discord (webcam required), D&D Beyond for sheets & maps Majority of us are based in Europe, but we’re open to players from other time zones as long as the schedule works consistently. What We’re Looking For Age: 20 - 30 preferably Comfortable both playing and DMing (experience is flexible we care more about attitude than perfection) Webcam required – roleplay and table presence are a big focus for us Clear communication – life happens, just keep us informed Consistent Sunday availability Strong interest in roleplay and narrative-driven play Beginner Friendly (On Both Sides of the Screen!) You don’t need to be a “veteran DM” or rules expert however that could be a plus. Several players are still learning the system, and we value creativity, collaboration, and storytelling over mechanical mastery. If you’re passionate about running a game and open to growing together, you’ll fit right in. Joining the Table If you’re interested, send me a message! We’ll invite you to Discord for a short interview (10–30 minutes) to get a feel for each other’s playstyles and expectations. If everything clicks we’ll run a one shot that will flow into a full fledged campaign. Campaign Premise: Academy of Guidance Across the world, mysterious events known as anomalies occur without warning. These phenomena warp reality itself, twisting people, landscapes, and structures into something unnatural. Giant creatures emerge where villages once stood. Forests awaken with sentience. Mountains form in impossible shapes. To confront this growing threat, the capital city founded the Academy of Guidance, an institution dedicated to training individuals capable of surviving, containing, and understanding anomalies. Students balance academy life with increasingly dangerous real-world missions, all while political tension and ideology clash beneath the surface. Your character is one of these students. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy or if you like the idea of sharing worlds and alternating campaigns don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m happy to answer questions in messages or during the interview. Looking forward to meeting you!

The City of Intrica

West Marches / Living World
One world and a big pool of players, but no fixed party - whoever signs up that week is who plays.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
The city of Intrica lies between Poland and Germany; it was founded over 500 years ago and stands tall today. However, it has not stopped suffering its trials and tribulations. Its current one is a black hole blotting out the sun over the city. The black hole, however, is not just a black hole; it is a pocket dimension known as "The Great Selection", a Battle Royale created by an adversary of the city known as "The Silent". Within this grand Battle Royale, the winner would exit with all the powers of the other participants, meaning that if any of the very malicious beings inside of it were to win, it would spell ruin for not just Intrica, but maybe even the entirety of Europe. It is up to the agents of the Arcane Enforcement & Global Intelligence Service, aka A.E.G.I.S., to break into this battle royale and turn the odds in favor of the participants who are friendly to this world. After all, you can move a mountain if you do it bit by bit.

Weekdays only, a group decides on day & time. Most people will probably play between 16:00 – 21:00 (GMT+0) Played in Discord voice chat A lot of people wanted to play, but later they went passive/ignore mode. Please, message only if you are going to play, don't make the other players wait Discord nickname: weebseatshit *PREMISE* You are dragged into a dangerous encounter together with other unlucky ones. Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's a Forgotten Realms based, custom (homebrew) campaign with an emphasis on story, characters & adventures, *WITHOUT LEVELS & STATS. "Theatre of the Mind" playstyle (means no VTT). Casual, beginner friendly Every player can has his own, custom spells/abilities. Custom spells should be created within reason. Imagine that those spells are used against you. A player has up to 5 spells from the start A player should choose a class that is the closest to his preference & then create spells/abilities. If a player can't, i'll help I'd like every player to be equally powerful Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) These classes aren't allowed: Artificer, Barbarian, Monk, Psion d20 roll results: Dungeon Master sets a number in an RNG & decides what success number a player should roll Spells don't need mana or d20 roll to be cast, they only cooldown, but if a player is gonna spam spells, i'll Elfen Lied him or put some shit like Leo Bonhart from Witcher that will equalize/balance him *COMBAT* When combat starts, characters & their enemies roll for initiative to decide who goes first (the one with the biggest number, then decreasing or as Dungeon Master decides) If it's a tie result, reroll To choose a target for an enemy, Dungeon Master sets a number in an RNG To attack, character & other character(s) roll d20. If attacker's number is bigger, he deals damage. If attacker's number is less, a defending character dodges. A defending character can perform a counterattack, but if he fails, he receives damage To defeat (wound) a character: • Character must receive damage a certain amount of times • Character does it with any possible way (using environment, persuasion) I'll describe locations, looks, with little to no details. So, when a player is for example in a forest, search for "D&D forest artstation" or "forest artstation" & ambient You can check The Witcher 1 video game. It's my main inspiration when it comes to background (buildings, outdoors, interior design, clothes, general looks, basically all) Just like with the books, i'd prefer that player imagined his own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore)
